Chapter 3 Duel Pirate Captain Solo
When Dennis wakes up, he finds himself on a bed, he notices the window and he is surprised to see the sea. He looks at his body and wonders, "What? But how? I should've been carded?"
"So you've finally awake." He turns to see Yuya, Yuni, Yuzu, Ruri, Shun, Yuri, Sona, Yusho, and Sarah standing in the doorway.
"What? But I..." Before Dennis can finish, Kurosaki Shun yanks Dennis up and punches him in the gut.
"You think that everything would be solved if you card yourself? You think that is enough to pay for what you have done?" Shun asks with anger. "If you think that carding yourself is your form of redemption, you are sorely mistaken! You're not redeeming yourself, what you planned to do is an act of cowardice! You are too afraid to face your own mistake and tried to run away from it using redemption as an excuse! I won't let you run away. You will take responsibility for every consequence that you have caused. Mark my words."
After that Shun leaves the room and Yuni sighs, "If you're wondering why. We managed to reverse the whole carding system. You do realize that most of us on the ship was once being carded, right? We knew you were a spy back in the Standard Dimension, that's why we never built that system in your Duel Disk."
Ruri says, "When I saw you dueling my brother back in the Synchro Dimension, I didn't want to believe you to be a spy from Academia. Because I enjoyed the times we spent together in Heartland, even though you were on your mission to green-light the invasion..."
Dennis can't believe what he has heard from Ruri, she is forgiving him for his actions. Compared to Kurosaki Shun, he wonders how she is his sister.
Yuya says, "Dennis, even though we knew you were a spy from the beginning, do you know why we still make Pendulum Cards for you? That's because we still think of you as a friend."
Yusho pats Yuya's shoulder and says, "I've always known that there is good in you, Dennis. Your Entertainment Dueling proves it. But you refused to accept it until a while ago. Now you finally listened and be honest about your feelings."
Sona says, "And about your statement before, you can't be friends with the Lancers, it is just your denial. The truth is, everyone in the Lancers is nice, they will accept you. Ryo, Edo, Yuri, Serena, and I played a role in hurting them in the past, but that doesn't mean it is too late to change. You can help us by stopping Academia, no, the real enemy behind Academia."
For some reason, Dennis feels that a stone inside his chest has disappeared, he mutters, "I'm sorry...I know this is not enough. That's why...I'll be helping you guys..."
"That's great. We are actually one person short in Yuri's group." Yuni claps her hands and says.
Then they decide to tell Dennis about everything with the Genesis Omega Dragon, the Sinister four, and everything, Dennis can't believe that he was blinded by the truth, and this only makes him more determined.
Just then, the ship is shaking as they quickly rush outside. Yuya asks, "What's going on here?"
Katrina says, "There is a Pirate Ship and it has been shooting cannons at us!"
"What are we going to do then?" Vivian asks.
"I'll volunteer to stop whoever's on the ship." Yuya says.
"If that's the case, I'll go with you, Yuya." Sora says.
Then with Reiji's approval, the two of them along with Tsukikage ride on the smaller ship as they get to the boat. Yuya asks, "You know who is the one on the boat?"
"He's Captain Solo. He likes cosplaying as a pirate." Sora says. "With the boat arrive, I'll go-"
"No, Sora. You stay on the boat. Tsukikage, try anything to sabotage the ship, I'll handle that pirate to see what their intention is." Yuya says.
"Understood." Tsukikage says as he leaves. Sora pouts as he really wants some action. But he trusts Yuya as he ]uses his roller skates to roll up to the deck, but just as he lands, he is surrounded by the pirates.
"Now what do we have here? A Lancer who tries to sneak on the ship?" Captain Solo asks mockingly.
"So you must be Captain Solo. We're here to investigate if you're the ones who keep attacking our ship. Seems like I'm right all along." Yuya says.
"Give up now. Yer ne'er goin' to that island." Captain Solos says.
"What?" Yuya asks.
"'Cuz yer gonna lose to me. Yer gonna git carded on this ship." Captain Solo says while activating the Duel Disk.
"That's not going to be a thing." Yuya says as he activates the Duel Disk. "Field Magic: Crossover."
Platforms appear and both of them yell, "Duel!" (Yuya:4000)(CS:4000)
"I'll be startin' 'ere. From my 'and I activate the Magic Card: Fusion!" Solo says. "I Fuse Pirate Ship Skullblood and Skull Knight from my hand! O Ship with the red skull of the Demon world! Knight of skull lurking in the darkness! Now become one, and call forth the legendary pirate king! Fusion Summon! Come forth! Captain Lock!" (ATK:0/DEF:0 LV:6)
"A Fusion Monster with 0 ATK?" Zarc asks.
"Just what is he planning?" Yubel adds.
"While Captain Lock is on the field, both players can't Normal or Special Summon monsters from their hands." Captain Solo says. "Nor setting either."
"What?" Yuya gasps in shock.
Then the captain swings around and grabs an Action Card. "Action Magic: Power Crystal! Captain Lock gains 800 ATK!" (ATK:0-800)
After the monster glows red light, Captain Solo says, "One more thing. When thar be a monster with 1000 ATK or more on the field, Captain Lock will be destroyed."
"Why is he telling this?" Zarc asks, "He already stopped Yuya from summoning monsters."
"I have to calm down. Captain Lock is a monster on the field. If Captain Lock's ATK raises to 1000 or more, it will destroy itself..." Yuya says.
"Just try if ye can. I set one card and end me turn." Captain Solo says.
"My turn!" Yuya draws a card and looks at his hand, "Damn it...my hand is only Monsters and traps. I can't perform an Extra Deck Summon...which means the only way to increase Captain Lock's ATK is..."
He looks around and says, "I have to use Action Cards!"
He starts to use his roller skates and head towards the Action Card, but Captain Solo gets a barrel and yells, "Nice try!"
He throws the barrel at the wood crate with the Action Card, causing the card to fly into his hand, much to Yuya's surprise.
"Action Magic: Fire Crystal! Sakaki Yuya takes 600 damage!" Solo says as the fire hits Yuya. (Yuya:4000-3400)
Yuya is hit, but he doesn't give up as he finds another card, but Captain Solo takes out a rope and yells, "Take this!"
He manages to trip Yuya's skates as he falls to the ground. But the Action Card is right in front of him. "Oh no!" Solo yells in horror.
Yuya picks up the Action Card, only to find that it is an Action Card that hurts him.
"What's this? Ye got a bad Action Card? Yer luck's gone bad!" Captain Solo says.
"Damn it...I know Crossover is supposed to contain every kind of Action Cards we made so far...but why...why is it setting these cards right now...I can only have one Action Card in my hand. I have no choice but to use it..." Yuya mutters.
"Action Magic: Cursed Crystal. I take 600 damage." Yuya says as he is hit by the card. (Yuya:3400-2800)
Yuya screams in pain as black clouds is hurting him, and Solo laughs, "What's wrong, matey? Yer gonna destroy yerself before ye destroy Captain Lock!"
Captain Solo swings on top of the ship's edge and grabs the Action Card on top of a statue in front of the ship. "Action Magic: Fire Crystal! Sakaki Yuya takes 600 damage!"
The fire blasts Yuya again, (Yuya:2800-2200) Zarc says, "Yuya's LP is falling fast."
"This is the moment of truth. Endure it, Yuya." Yubel adds.
"I'm trying." Yuya says. "I can't give up. Where's an Action Card that raises a monster's ATK?"
He looks around and Solo mocks again, "What's wrong, matey? Be ye tired?"
"The Captain knows the ship from up to down. He can go anywhere..." Yuya thinks. But he realizes that he can go above the ship.
"All right, it's all for nothing." Yuya says.
"Just give up and end yer turn. No matter what ye try, I can go anywher...huh?" Solo is shocked to see that Yuya is skating on top of the ropes of the sail.
"What?" Solo is shocked. He quickly yells, "Thal's Balls! Hard to starboard!"
The crew tries to stir the ship, causing Yuya to fall from the ship. Tsukikage manages to come and saves Yuya as they all land on the ship.
"Are you okay? Yuya?" Sora asks.
"I'm fine..." Yuya sighs. "The Duel's still going on."
"OI KID! END YER TURN!" The captain yells from the top of the ship, and Yuya mutters, "I set one card and end my turn."
Solo says, "My turn!" After drawing a card, he says, "I activate the Continuous Magic: Great Sea Battle! The Battle damage be doubled between opposing players and a WATER monster on me field."
Just then, the cannons are targetting the ship and he mocks, "I be sendin' ye dingy to Davey Jones' Locker. Attack thar boat directly!"
Yuya yells, "Tsukikage!"
Tsukikage tries to stir the boat, but the attack still hits as Yuya and Sora falls on the floor. (Yuya:2200-600)
"Yuya!" Sora manages to get up first, and he stares at the ship and says, "That guy..."
"I end me turn." Captain Solo says.
Sora decides to activate his Duel Disk and yells, "My turn!" Because of the Intrusion Penalty, he takes damage. (Sora:4000-2000)
The captain finds Sora and he says, "Look who it be! Yer the traitor Sora Shiun'in!"
"It's been a while, Captain. I see you still like cosplaying." Sora says.
"And I see you still like talking back." Solo says. "If ye come back too, we can negotiate with the Professor."
"He had to say it like that..." Sora is angry, "Even if I get back, there is no telling what he'll do to Sona and my other friends...I'll defeat you!"
Yuya asks, "Sora, do you have a Fusion Card in your hand? We would really like a Fusion Monster on the field right now."
Sora smiles and says, "Luckily I have one in my hand. I activate this card to save you, Yuya. I Fuse Edge Imp Tomahawk and Furnimal Octo from my hand! Demonic claws. Become one with the devil apostle and show us your new powerful form! Fusion Summon! Come out! Sea devil that steals freedom and pulls everything into the darkness! Death-Toy Piton Kraken!" (ATK:2200/DEF:3000 LV:8)
A Kraken monster appears on the field and Yuya smiles, "And now, since a Monster with 1000 ATK or more is on the field, Captain Lock destroys himself!"
After Captain Lock is destroyed, Solo yells, "Don't be gettin' ideas about victory! Continuous Trap: Deadman Pirates! It negates the effect of Captain Lock in me grave and Special Summons it in attack position!"
After the pirate appears, he continues, "Once per turn, I can target a monster in me grave and equip it to Captain Lock, givin' it its ATK. I target Pirate Ship Skullblood!" (ATK:0-1600)
"And now, Action Magic: Power Crystal! Captain Lock gains 800 ATK!" Captain Solo says. (ATK:1600-2400)
He laughs and says, "Now Captain Lock's ATK is higher than yer big octopus. Come at me! Ye gonna walk the plank!"
"That won't happen!" Yuya says. "Trap Card: Entermate Big Support! I can target a monster that was Special Summoned this turn and equip an Entermate Monster with 1000 or less ATK in my hand to that monster. I target Death-Toy Piton Kraken and equip Entermate Sword Fish!"
The Kraken is holding the fish and Yuya says, "And now, Death-Toy Kraken gains ATK equal to double of Sword Fish's!" (ATK:2200-3400)
"3400 ATK?" The captain is sweating.
"Nice assist!" Sora smiles. "Now Piton Kraken can attack Captain Lock!"
The Kraken squeezes Captain Lock with the tentacles, and deals damage to Captain Solo. (CS:4000-3000)
"But wait, there's more! Piton Kraken's effect lets it attack twice per turn!" Sora says. "Death-Toy Piton Kraken attacks Captain Solo directly!
Just then, the Kraken grabs Solo with his tentacles, causing him to yell in shock before the Sword Fish slashes him. (CS:3000-0)
Sora gives Yuya a thumbs up, who nods back. Tsukikage also shows the item to Yuya and he says, "Now we're done here, let's go!"
Then they leave to chase after the main ship. Solo gets back up and yells, "Chase after them! Hard to starboard!"
Once they are back on the ship, Reiji asks, "How is the mission?"
"We managed to defeat that captain." Yuya says as Sora nods.
Reira notices the screw on Tsukikage's hand and asks, "Tsukikage, what's that?"
"Don't know. Just borrowing it." Tsukikage says.
It turns out that the screw is from the steering wheel on Solo's ship, and since it falls off, the ship has been going in circles. Solo yells, "Do something about this!"
"It's no use captain!" The crew says.
"Damn Sea dogs! I'll remember this!" He yells.
And I'll end the chapter right here, as you can see, the bracelet girls aren't going to be controlled by the parasite in this story, so the kidnapping Yuzu won't happen. I kept the duel but I changed some things. And the next chapter will be the plan Reisho is conducting. I hope you like this chapter.
