Chapter 6 Vampire Duel
Yuni, Reisho, Reiji, Katrina, and Sergey are at the harbor, and they notice a dark and gloomy castle in front of them.
"What is that thing?" Katrina asks.
"That wasn't even there before...what is going on here?" Reisho asks.
"Let's check it out." Yuni says as they all head into the gloomy castle, and inside the castle, bats are flying around and Reira is getting scared. Reisho hugs Reira and says, "This really is like some sort of monster castle..."
Katrina notices a lot of dolls with Academia uniforms, and says, "There are a lot of dolls..."
"So you're the Lancers that are stopping Mistress Yami's plans?" They notice a woman standing in front of them, and she has an appearance of a vampire.
"A Vampire?" Yuni and Katrina gasp in surprise.
"I, Vampire Camula, a follower of Yami, will now be your opponent." Camula says while noticing Katrina, "Unbelievable...you have the power of a vampire."
"Who, me?" Katrina asks.
"Very well. The winner will advance on, while the loser will have their soul sealed into a doll." Camula shows the doll in her hand and Yuni gasps, "So it is a Shadow Game..."
"Does that mean those dolls are actually defeated people?" Katrina gasps in horror.
"No way...This is getting really strange..." Reisho mutters. "I don't remember Father having a vampire helping her...that means it is one of the sinister four, like Black Mist..."
Katrina says, "Enough small talk! I'll beat you! I don't care if you're a vampire or not. I'll destroy all enemies in my way!"
After activating the Duel Disks, the Field Magic appears and they all yell, "Duel!"
Katrina says, "I'll get the first turn! With Scale 2 Blood Sucker Crazy Clown and Scale 6 Blood Sucker Unshown Mask, I set the Pendulum Scale!" Katrina places both cards on the Duel Disk and a Clown that has a white face and looks creepy along with a person behind a mask with no face appearing on the field, with 2 and 6 under it.
"I use the Pendulum Effect of Crazy Clown, I can double my Mask's scale!" (PS:6-12) With this, I can summon monsters from Level 3 to Level 11!" Katrina says. As the red pendulum swings, Katrina chants, "Now born from the darkness, come with the swing of nighttime and appear for a hunt! Pendulum Summon! Come forth! Then Princess of the monsters, use your beauty to attract others and suck their blood! Blood Sucker Vampire Princess!" (ATK:3000/DEF:2500 LV:8 PS:11)
After the princess appears, Katrina says, "I set one card and end my turn."
"I see you are also a blood-sucking vampire. However, I activate the Magic Card: Phantom Demon's Gate!"
"Phantom's Demon's Gate!" Yuni gasps in shock.
"After this card is activated, if I lose the duel, my soul will belong to the Mystic Demons!" Camula says. "However, Since I want to be cautious, I will give your friends the role of being my sacrifice!"
She has her eyes on Yuni, who widens her eyes in shock. Katrina says, "If you land a hand on my sister, you're going to pay for it! You coward!"
Just then, both Yuni and Katrina's Pendants glow and it stops the dark magic from approaching Yuni. Yuni says, "Our Pendants!"
"They have the power to stop the power of darkness?" Reisho asks.
Katrina says, "Your powers of darkness have been taken out! My sister and my friends aren't going to be your victims! You've got no choice but to stop the Phantom Gate you ended up activating. You'll be carrying out your deal with the gate with your soul now."
"Still, it would be nothing if I were to win this duel." Camula says. "I'll end it in this turn! I offer my soul, of the proud vampire race, to the Mystic Demons to activate it! It destroys all monsters on my opponent's field!"
Just then, Vampire Princess is destroyed as it is sucked into the door. "Next, through its ability, I will Special Summon a Monster that was destroyed! I Summon your Vampire Princess!"
Just as the Monster appears, Camula continues, "From my hand, I Summon Immortal Werewolf! (ATK:1200/DEF:1200 LV:4)
"Oh no...there is one 3000 ATK and one 1200 ATK..." Reisho says.
"If they landed their attacks, Katrina will be defeated this turn!" Yuni says.
"I attack you directly with Vampire Princess!" Camula yells. Vampire Princess manages to land a hit on Katrina, causing her to scream in pain. (Katrina:4000-1000)
"The next one will finish you!" Camula says, but just as she is about to attack, Katrina says, "I use Trap Card: Nighttime Approaching! When I'm taking a direct attack, I can negate that attack and recover all the LP that I lost this turn and end the battle Phase!"
"What?" This causes Camula to get angry. (Katrina:1000-4000) "You...I end my turn!"
"So Katrina managed to pull through..." Zarine says.
"My turn!" Katrina draws a card and says, "I use Unshown Mask's Pendulum Effect! I let you guess what is the type of card on top of my deck, if my opponent guesses it right, I send it back to the deck, if wrong, I add it to my hand. Now what do you choose?"
Camula stares at the deck and she says, "It is a Magic Card."
Katrina draws the card and says, "You're wrong, it's a Tuner Monster: Eyeing Cobra! I add it to my hand!"
After drawing the card, she says, "With the set scale, I Pendulum Summon! Come forth! My two Eyeing Cobras! (ATK:1500/DEF:2000 LV:5 PS:6)
After the cobras appear, she says, "I tune the Level 5 Eyeing Cobra with the Level 5 Eyeing Cobra! Prince of the monsters, fight for the rich blood and eliminate your enemies! Synchro Summon! Come! LV10! Vampire Prince!" (ATK:2700/DEF:2200 LV:10 PS:2)
Seeing the Princess on the other side, Vampire Prince feels a little heartache, Katrina says, "Don't worry, Vampire Prince, we'll get your Princess back! I use its effect, I can destroy one Monster on the field! I choose Vampire Princess! Sucking Prey!"
The prince has tears in his eyes as he manages to destroy the princess he loves, and Katrina says, "Then battle! I attack Immortal Werewolf with Vampire Prince!"
As the Prince is attacking, Camula takes damage. (Camula:4000-2500)
"With my Werewolf's effect, I Special Summon another Werewolf from my deck, and raise its ATK by 500!" (ATK:1200-1700)
After the wolf appears, Yuni says, "So it has the effect to summon another one..."
"And add 500 ATK with that..." Reisho says.
"I set one card and end my turn." Katrina says.
"So it is not only a Vampire Princess, but a Vampire Prince...this isn't a situation one would call advantageous." Camula thinks. "But, if my ultimate servant comes along, a situation like this will be immediately overturned!"
"My turn!" After drawing a card, she says, "I use Pot of Greed! I draw two more cards!"
After drawing two cards, she laughs and says, "Since you're a vampire, do you aware of the true terror of the vampire race? Vampires don't die."
"So?" Katrina asks.
"I release Immortal Werewolf to Advance Summon Vampire Lord! (ATK:2000/DEF:1500 LV:5)" After the monster appears, she continues, "Next, by banishing Vampire Lord, I can Special Summon Vampire Genesis! (ATK:3000/DEF:2100 LV:8)
After the monster appears, Katrina says, "So I have to guess that is your ace monster..."
"I activate the Continuous Magic: Genesis Crisis! Because of this card, one per turn, I'll add one Zombie-type Monster from my deck to my hand! Next, by releasing one Zombie-type monster in my hand to the graveyard, Vampire Genesis can Special Summon a Monster of the same type with a lower Level from my Graveyard! I send Dragon Bone Orge from my hand to Special Summon Immortal Werewolf!"
After the monster appears, she says, "You currently have a card face-down on your field. So, allow me to disable its effect! From my hand, I activate Hurricane!"
Just then, the trap card that Katrina set is gone back into her hand. Reisho says, "I thought she is just a normal vampire. But she's calculated everything thoroughly..."
"Battle! Vampire Genesis attacks Vampire Prince! Hell Vicious Blood!" Camula yells, and Vampire Prince is destroyed. (Katrina:4000-3700)
"And now I attack you directly with Immortal Werewolf! Howling Slash!" Katrina is slashed by the attack as she groans in pain. (Katrina:3700-2500)
"You've only prolonged your suffering. I activate Genesis Crisis! I'll take one Zombie card from my deck and end my turn!"
"As long as Vampire Genesis and Genesis Crisis are on Camulra's field, there really won't be an end to the monsters that are in Camula's hand..." Reisho says.
"And she'll be using that card as a cost to complete her revival combo with Vampire Genesis each turn..." Yuni says. "It sure is a great strategy."
"You're pretty strong." Katrina says. "But why are you relying on the power of darkness?"
"Winning a duel has no meaning to me!" Camula says. "In Middle-Age Europe, the vampire race was proud of being at the height of their prosperity. As a proud race, we lived in isolation. However, humans referred to us as monsters, and they wouldn't even allow us to exist. And our race is destroyed."
"That..." Katrina gasps.
"I alone fell into an eternal slumber within a coffin. Someone was there to awaken me. She told me that I could use the powers of darkness to revive my vampire brethren."
"So it isn't just a game when you make the opponents into dolls. You're going to use the souls of those dolls to revive your fallen vampire brethren?" Yuni asks.
"And our souls, as brethren, will seek revenge on those humans who denied and destroyed us!" Camula says.
"You're wrong!" Katrina says, "It's true that as a vampire, humans have treated me as a monster, however, there are still those who treated me as a human. And I'm going to help them win this duel!"
"So as a vampire, you're going to betray the whole brethren and help those who treated us as monsters? With their fate of them in my hands, I must win! You have no chance of winning!"
"We don't know anything. I won't give up!" Katrina says as she draws a card, "With the set scale, I Pendulum Summon! Revive from my Extra Deck! Vampire Princess! Vampire Prince!"
After the two Monsters appear on the field, it causes Camula to get surprised. "Vampires don't die, that's what you said, and since they are Pendulum Monsters, they will be revived as long as they are in my Extra Deck!"
Camula is shocked to see the two Monsters appear on the field, and Katrina says, "Vampire Prince's effect! I can destroy a Monster on the field! I choose Vampire Genesis!"
Now Camula is in horror as her Vampire Genesis is destroyed. Katrina says, "And thanks to Genesis Crisis' effect, Immortal Werewolf is also destroyed!"
Camula's field is empty as she says, "Did you forget, I told you vampires are immortal, didn't I?"
"I know. But now your field is empty, and I still have two monsters to attack!" Katrina says, and Camula has fear in her eyes. "Go! Vampire Princess! Princess' Howling!"
The howling creates a giant hole and the light comes in, causing Camula to fall to the ground defeated. (Camula:2500-0)
"You won! Katrina" Yuni smiiles, but then they feel the ground shaking as the Phantom Demon's Gate appear from the ground.
"Oh no...the penalty..." Reisho says.
A hand comes from the door and grabs Camula's soul into the door, and Camula turns into ashes and disappears.
"Is this...for real..." Katrina gasps.
At the same time, a lot of dolls are starting to turn back into humans. And the castle is shaking as it is about to collapse. Reisho says, "The castle is collapsing!"
"Sergey! Get these people out of here!" Yuni yells, and Sergey changes into his D-Wheel mode and then brings everyone out of the castle, at the same time, everyone also gets out of the castle as they stare at the ocean where the castle once was.
"It's as if we just seemed to have a nightmare..." Yuni says.
"But it is real." Katrina says. "She was just like me...a vampire..."
Reisho says, "But that means one of the twenty places have been conquered..."
