Padme was laid down on one of the older Batchers' beds, candles lit, and flowers placed around her.
Everyone knelt in mourning as the princess lay in death on the bed. There was not a dry eye in sight. Not even Crosshair could hold back from crying as he believed the dear princess was gone forever.
The horses and all the animals all had their heads down in mourning too at the loss of the wonderful princess.
Padme was truly a beautiful, remarkable woman. So beautiful, even in death, her friends couldn't find it in their hearts to bury her. So instead, they made her a casket out of glass and gold and lay her to rest in a beautiful clearing in the woods.
Citizens of Naboo heard what happened, and many came to mourn for the princess and brought her beautiful flowers to honor her. But Nabuians weren't the only ones to arrive.
Among those who came to say goodbye, there came a certain prince who'd been searching for her all over the woods, facing timber wolves and many other forest creatures trying to find her, getting a scar over his eye as a result, and one over his heart now that the woman he'd fallen in love with had been killed.
Prince Anakin walked over to the casket and had tears in his eyes as he looked at Padme laying there, here eyes closed, a bouquet of white roses in her hands.
The young prince never got the chance to profess his love for her. He'd searched so hard for her, only to find her dead.
"I don't know if you're up there listening," said Prince Anakin. "But, I just want you to know, even though we've only known each other for a short time... I feel it in my heart that we were made for each other. You're the most perfect, beautiful, strong, and wonderful woman I could ever hope to know. No amount of magic could create a better woman if even the greatest sorcerers in the universe tried. I'll never forget you. And even though I didn't get to tell you in life, I'll always love you."
Prince Anakin opened the casket for a moment and leaned in and passionately kissed Padme on her lips. And he knelt down in mourning.
Everyone remained silent as they continued to mourn the princess.
Suddenly, Padme's eyes fluttered open. Padme slowly woke herself up and sat up.
Omega was first to look up and gasp, a huge smile appearing on her face when she saw Padme alive.
Everyone else looked and was immediately filled with happiness when they saw Princess Padme was alive.
Prince Anakin especially couldn't believe the miracle that just happened.
Padme looked at her prince and smiled when she saw his blue eyes and charming smile again. She took his hands and let him pull her up. And he happily spun her in his arms.
Padme leaned forward and kissed Prince Anakin herself this time. The two of them kissed each other passionately as they were finally reunited.
Anakin looked into Padme eyes and said, "Marry me?"
Padme smiled and said, "That would be my greatest wish come true."
And the two of them kissed once more.
And so, the prince and princess were finally married. Naboo now had a new queen and king, and Queen Padme called for every bell in Naboo to ring, for they were finally free from the tyranny of Queen Morpha. People who'd previously fled were even able to come home too, and Padme's sister Sola was so happy when she heard that their stepmother had been defeated and their family no longer had to worry about her threatening them any longer.
And Queen Padme saw to it that her friends were hailed as heroes for helping her when she was in need and ultimately helping to defeat the evil queen.
"And they all live happily ever after. The end."
Qui-Gon closed the book.
And Gabby said, "Now that's what I call a princess story."
"I love a happy ending." Hunter smiled.
"Tell us another story!" Wrecker cheered like a big child.
Everyone laughed.
"Maybe later, Wrecker." Qui-Gon said, as it was nearing dinner time. "Like in the story, everyone must wash up if they want to have dinner."
"Yes, Grandpa." said the kids.
