Prologue:

A lone figure walked around the rubbles of what was once the compound of the proud Uchiha clan, with only the soft moonlight to guide their steps. Once they've reached the familiar steps of the pathway to the clan's ancient and very much secret stone tablet, they slowly and as silently as possible walked down the stone steps, only to stop when the once muffled voices became clear.

"It turns out my brother inherited your will without you having ever exchanged words with him." They heard the sorrow-filled voice of a young man declare.

"Even as he shouldered that heavy responsibility for our clan," The man's voice stated, after a few minutes of tense silence followed his previous utterance. "he stood between the village and the clan amidst their strife. He even killed his own parents. He killed his own clan and endured being branded a rogue ninja, yet he kept watch over the group that wanted to harm the leaf. And, even in death, my brother endured longer and harder than you. When he died, he still said that he was proud to be a leaf shinobi. Ironic the one who understood you the most was a shinobi from the Uchiha clan."

As the young man informed all those around him of the suffering his kin had gone through, it had become increasingly difficult for the hermit hiding in the shadows to keep their trembling body and the tears at bay, while their heart began to fill with sadness and guilt at what had happened to these innocent children.

Poor Shisui had had to sacrifice himself for the village he had loved. Poor Itachi had had to fight alone to protect the sibling he loved. Poor Sasuke had had to suffer alone through the pain of losing everything he had loved.

These children had to go through so much suffering and it had all been this outsider's fault. They had known that it would come to this, one day and had tried to prevent these tragedies from happening to them, but it had not been enough. They had not been strong enough.

"Your brother wasn't the only one." A strong and familiar voice that had the rogue listener's heart skip a bit as it had done back in the old days, replied. "One of my subordinates was Kagami Uchiha, a man a lot like your brother. A man who carried that person's will and dreams of peace and love." Even though the lonesome figure couldn't see his face, they could hear the care he held in his voice as he said the words.

"Second Hokage, I thought that you hated the Uchiha."

A snort nearly left the solitudinarian's throat as the young Uchiha uttered what many believed to be true.

"That's not the whole truth. Whatever clan they belong to, if someone posed a danger to the village, I viewed them with extreme caution. And there is no doubt that the Uchiha clan warranted my suspicions. The Uchiha happened to be a clan disposed to be considered wearily but because they could feel deep love there have been several Uchiha like your brother and Kagami who could transcend the boundaries of the clan and devote themselves to the village."

"And I am one of these so-called Uchiha." The lone figure declared as they stepped out of the shadows and into the lighted room, thus cutting short any other statements the second Hokage would have given.

"Who are you?" the young man, they knew to be Sasuke demanded to know, as he drew his sword from its sheet.

The person who had interrupted the precious conversation Sasuke was having with the Hokages, to help him decide on the next step he would be taking in regards to the ongoing war, was quite short. They wore a long hooded cape that hid both their frame and their face. The nonchalant yet self-assured way they walked towards Tobirama Senju, completely ignoring the drawn weapon held by the young Uchiha made Sasuke curious. But what truly drew his attention was the way the eyes of the water-master Senju sparkled at their sight, their thin lips crooking upwards into a smirk.

"I was starting to wonder how long you would keep yourself hidden over there, like a petulant little child listening to their parents' conversations."

"Pff, who are you calling a child, old man?" the wonderer teasingly asked before grabbing the front of the youngest Senju's armor and pulling him towards them, into a deep kiss that had the whole room stunned into silence.

Just as suddenly as they had pulled the taller man into the smooch, the smaller body of the trespasser twisted around thus allowing them to lend a powerful quick over the Senju's head.

"What was that for?" the man questioned as he rubbed the now sore spot.

"That was for dying without my permission, even though I warned you about that fucking ambush." They replied before turning towards Sasuke who was still brandishing his weapon and pulled their hood away from their face, thus releasing long black waves that were held together into a high ponytail by a tie with small bells, and shining amethyst eyes. "Hello, Sasuke." The young woman greeted gently.

"It IS you!" Hashirama exclaimed as he tried to pull the petite woman into a tight hug, only to have her escape his grip.

"Nice to see you too, Hashi!" the stranger replied as she walked towards the third and fourth Hokages. "Sarutobi, it has been a while, hasn't it?"

"My Lady." The lord third whispered in unrestrained surprise while he politely bowed to her.

"And young Minato. I wasn't very thrilled to find that you haven't heeded my warnings, either." She mumbled.

"Oba-sama, it has been a long time, hasn't it?"

"Enough with the greetings! Who the hell are you?" Sasuke cut any reply the woman would have given to the reanimated Namikaze.

"I am Sana Uchiha. I was there when my cousin Madara and Hashirama's friendship grew. I was also there during the conflicts between the Uchiha and the Senju. I was also present when Konohagakure was first created."

"How are you alive, so young looking and NOT a reanimation?" Orochimaru wondered out loud.

"I have my ways, brat." The young woman replied.

"Never mind that. I thought that Sana Uchiha was the head of the clan that followed Madara and a MAN." Sasuke stated.

"If you let me tell you my story, then everything will be explained."

"We do not have the time for this, Sana." Tobirama enunciated.

"Then we'll have to make the time, won't we, Sasuke?" the female Uchiha retorted.

"Yes, we will."

"Then here goes. As I told you, my name is Sana Uchiha, and this is my story."
