Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel have arrived into Traverse Town. They looked around and they saw how different it was from Pallet Town and the other towns they visited since they began their Pokémon journey.
"So, this is Traverse Town," Sora said.
"It sure is," Kairi said. "I wonder where we'll find Setro?"
"I guess we'll have to ask someone and see where we'll go from here," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
With that said, they asked some of the local people if they knew Setro or where he lives. They headed right for the gates for the second district. That's when they saw a man run and he tripped. A heart came from his chest and disappeared into the darkness. That's when a Soldier appeared and disappeared.
"Oh no!" Kairi gasped. Shadows appeared all round them.
"Heartless!" Sora said, summoning his Keyblade. Kairi summoned hers and they struck down the attacking Heartless. Pikachu and Angel fired Thunderbolt and Swift to deal with them. They fought off the Heartless as they kept coming at the couple. "There's too many!"
"We have to get out of here," Kairi said.
The couple ran for their lives as the Heartless have pursued them. Just then, a young man with brown hair came and swung his sword at them, destroying the Shadows. The Heartless then vanished where they vanished. He turned to the couple.
"What are you doing out here?" The young man asked.
"Who are you?" Sora asked.
"Don't you know it's dangerous to go out at night because of the Heartless?" Setro asked.
"We just got to town," Kairi said.
"Yeah, we're looking for someone," Sora said.
"Looking for someone?" The young man asked, looking at them.
"We're looking for a guy named Setro. Do you know him?" Kairi asked.
"What business do you have with him?" The man asked.
"We were told to look for him because he was going to point us in the right direction," Sora said.
"Who sent you and told you that?" The young man asked.
"A guy named Teol. He sent us here," Sora said.
"Teol? He's alive?" The young man asked.
"Yeah, he's alive. He sent us here," Sora said.
"Do you know Teol?" Kairi asked.
"Yes, I know him. And I'm Setro. I didn't know someone would come looking for me for all this time," Setro said.
"You're Setro?" Sora asked.
"Yes. Come with me, the both of you," Setro said. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel followed the swordsman into the third district and right to a house. Where they met some other people there.
One is a young woman wearing a pink dress and has long brown hair tied in a ponytail which reach down her waist. She wore brown sandals.
The other is a a young woman dressed in light green ninja clothing. It shows off her midriff. She has black hair that reached her shoulders.
The other is a man wearing a pair of glasses and a white shirt and blue shorts.
"Setro, who are those kids you brought back?" The man asked.
"I didn't bother asking for their names," Setro said.
"We should get right to it. I'm Sora," Sora said.
"And I'm Kairi," Kairi said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Hey, those are Pokémon, aren't they?" The man asked.
"Pokémon? What the heck are those?" The female ninja asked.
"Pokémon are creatures from a world I visited before. Many of them all look like different plants and animals," the man explained.
"Yeah, they're Pokémon. Before we get down to it, we would like to know what we're dealing with. Teol sent us here for a mission," Sora said.
"You're right," Setro agreed. "We do owe you an explanation. Beford we begin, the both of you are aware that there are so many worlds out there besides this town and your own world, right?"
"Yeah," Kairi said.
"The ones Teol said that was supposed to be secret," Sora said.
"They have been secret, but everything changed when the Heartless came," the young woman said.
"We know all about them," Kairi said. "They're attracted to the darkness in people's hearts."
"So we have the Keyblades to defend ourselves," Sora said, summoning his Kingdom Key.
"So, you were chosen after all," Setro said. "I find it hard to believe."
"But we can't deny the truth, Setro," the young woman said.
"You're right, Ariel. It's been such a long time since a Keyblade wielder was ever seen. Nowadays they're extremely rare," the man said.
"Yes, Brian, we know. You've been telling us loads of stories about them," Setro said. "As you have already guessed, there are the other worlds and the Heartless are a real threat. Just as the ones controlling them."
"Teol said someone is controlling the Heartless, so any idea who it is?" Kairi asked.
"All we know Ganondorf is behind this," Brian said.
"Ganondorf?" Kairi asked.
"Vee?" Angel asked.
"Who's he?" Sora asked.
"He's a warlock," Brian said.
"Ganondorf have been control of the Heartless for years. In fact, he's the reason the town's full of Heartless," Setro said.
"He's the self-proclaimed 'King of Evil'. He led an army of Heartless along with some other monsters and attacked our world," the female ninja said.
"Ganondorf's onslaught was ruthless, so our ancestors came here just to escape from them," Ariel said.
"But that didn't stop the Heartless from coming here, too," Setro said.
"We were told about the worlds having a Keyhole. Is that true?" Kairi asked.
"Yes. Your Keyblades can be used to lock the Keyholes," Ariel said.
"I heard the Keyblade can unlock all sorts of locks," the ninja said.
"Jade is right, but you shouldn't be using it to commit crimes," Ariel warned.
"Don't worry, because we've been good about that," Sora said.
"Sounds like you kids know what you're doing," Brian said. "But you're gonna need a ship to get ya around."
"A ship?" Sora and Kairi asked.
"Chu?" Pikachu asked.
"Vee?" Angel asked.
"Why don't the two of you come with me and see for yourselves," Brian said. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Setro, Ariel, and Jade follows Brian to the gates and a red rocket ship floats before them.
"We're riding in that?" Sora asked.
"Yup. It's known as a gummi ship. You'll be able to fly through space in it. That's how you're gonna reach some of the other worlds," Brian explained.
"When you get to a new world, you'll see all sort of places there," Jade said.
"But the most important thing is the world's Keyhole. One of you will have to lock it with your Keyblades and they'll be safe from the Heartless," Setro said.
"You got it," Sora said.
"Be careful out there," Ariel said.
"We will," Sora and Kairi said. The couple boards the Gummi ship and depart for the first world. Sora ends up driving it. It wobbled around for a bit, but Sora eventually got the hang of it, hopefully.
They got the information they need, so their journey throughout the worlds begins. And so does a new adventure.
