Cinders lay in his box, sleeping, all four paws paddling in the air as he dreamed. He was running through a golden field as fast as four paws could go, away from the shadowy figure with a tall pointy black hat and a feather blew by him.
Cinders started awake, and Marinette picked him up and cuddle him. "He's scared, Cat. Is there anything you can do to help him?" Marinette asked. Pocket Elf leaped down from her hammock and walked over to them before Cat had a chance to speak. "It was more of a memory then a dream. Cat Noir. But you can ask him if you'd like." Cat meowed quietly and Cinders and Cat had a conversation. Marinette gripped the wooden oak table as Cat's face grew pale. "It's Mayura," he looked into Marinette's eyes. "Mayura?" Marinette repeated. "She's the one who has a peacock Miraculous, capable of making SentiMonsters. If she's close by, Princess, we need to see what she's up to."
"What exactly is a Senti-Monster, Cat?" Marinette asked. She wanted to help, but she needed more information before she ran into danger. "A living being made out of emotions, Princess. But let's not jump to conclusions. She could be miles away from here, with Hawkmoth." "Hawkmoth?!" Cat grabbed the mug out of Marinette's hands before the mug could shatter into pieces on the floor. "Easy, Princess. She was a friend, or closer to him at one time. As soon as its light, will go investigate."
Cinders was purring in his box again, after Marinette had made hot chocolate. "First light it is then."
They stopped at Cat's hut before venturing out onto the trail, Cat grabbing the Ladybug Miraculous and a couple of others in case they needed them. Cinders followed them, enjoying being outside and away from the cabin.
When they came to the wide open field of wheat, however, Cinders hackles raised and he gave a low hiss. "What is it, Cinders?" Marinette whispered, clutching Cat's arm tightly. A girl who looked similar to Marinette was standing in the field, her long black hair waving loosely in the wind. "Cat, is that a Senti?" Marinette whispered. "I don't know, Princess. We should go talk to her, though."
As we approach closer, its like looking at my twin if I had one, or looking in a mirror. "I'm here to summon you," the girl says, and even though her voice is sweet it carries a serious tone. "Lead on," Cat says.
We follow her and I jump slightly as a growl of thunder rumbles in the distance. "Its alright, love," Cat rubs my back in little circles and my heart slowly calms down. She brings us to a cabin, made of stone and smoke rises from the chimney. "Wait here while I get further instructions," she says.
As we wait, Cat pulls me close to his body, and even if I'm scared, I take comfort against his warm body. Rain begins to fall, and I can feel the droplets dripping off my chin. "Cinders, come here," I call, but the field is silent. Good, I breathe a slight sigh of relief as I don't want my cat to be part of this.
"You may come in now," the girl beckons from the doorway, and Cat has his hand clamped into a fist. "Princess," he whispers in his softest voice. "Put these in." Something cool and smooth drops into my hand, and at once I knows my Miraculous.
Though I'm scared, its good to be out of the rain, and the thunder crackles over head. A woman dressed in blue bends over the fire, stirring at something. "So, you've fetched them for me," the woman says, snapping her finger and the girl who looks like me disappears without a sound, only a feather in her place.
"So, Hawkmoth was right," she chuckles as she turns around. "Cat Noir is living in this forest." Her face has a eerie blue color to it, and half of it is hidden by a feather fan. "Mayura," Cat spits, a growl rising in his throat. "Is Hawkmoth so weak and scared, he sent you in his place to fetch the Miraculous?" "Careful, Cat Noir. You won't want to anger, Mayura, would you?" she proceeded a feather and she blows it softly into the air, her hands working at some dark magic, and suddenly Cat and I aren't alone.
Its Cat, but not, but this cat looks like his been dipped in powdered sugar or snow. His eyes are a chilling blue, and I cannot look away. "Cat Blanc," Cat Noir whispers. "Is that that what you want? His ring?" I point to the black ring on Cat's finger, glowing softly. Mayura nods. "He would give it up freely if he doesn't want you hurt," she says. Before I can say anything more, a small white ball of light fills the room. Cat Blanc's eyes are focused on mine, and I cannot look away as if he's got some magnetic spell over me.
"You don't give me your Miraculous Cat Noir, I'll Cataclysm the girl," Cat Blanc says, and I shiver as his voice sounds so much like My Kitty, but it chills me to the bone. Cat looks at me, and I nod. Myura and Cat Blanc don't know Ladybug is also in the room, and as Ladybug I always have a plan. Cat leans forward. "Give us five minutes to get away, but you don't touch a hair on my Princess."
"Fair enough," Mayura smiles cruelly at us, as she snaps her fingers once again, and Cat Blanc disappears. Cat slips off his ring, and becomes Adrien once more.
"Come on, Princess," he scoops me into his arms, and we run out the back door. "Time to run." We run into the wet rainy forest, and lighting flickers overhead and the thunder booms and echoes across the valley.
We watch as Mayura runs away, the Cat Miraculous now in her grasp, but she underestimated Cat Noir and Ladybug. We will get that ring back.
