It started out with the demigods on the Argo going over the plan and getting ready for the apex of the 2nd giant war to truly begin, when all of the sudden they were in a white room, not just them multiple other demigods and even the gods themselves were there.
After a while of trying to figure out whether it was enemy attack but after a while nothing happened suddenly chairs that are popping up, a large screen appeared in front of the room.
"What is going on, I demand an answer" shouted the king of the gods Zeus, frustrated as he couldn't believe what was happening. He had tried to use his powers in fact all the gods did but nothing happened.
"I believe that who ever brought us here is intending for us to watch something father" The goddess of wisdom Athena spoke, as she had quickly scanned the room the moment they appeared hoping to find answers.
"it could be a trick by Gaia" a demigod spoke up.
"No even grandmother is not capable of this" Hestia told, as she tried to calm down the children "if she were there would be no need for her to be going about it the way she has been doing".
"As Athena has said, I believe we have been brought here to be shown something" Hades suddenly injected.
As they had no option they all fond places to sit and the screen suddenly lit up.
"A gods power stems from belief."
"Wisegirl is that you speaking" percy said.
"Yeah Annie, I think kelp head is right, that's your voice, what are you talking about" thalia said.
"shush let watch and find out" annabeth replied.
"From the prayers, worshippers, from the hearts of men. We didn't know at the time how much that truly meant until we witnessed it. Saw it with our very eyes. Saw a man become a god through sheer belief."
SILENCE...
"WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" "IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE"
"NO... NO I REFUSE TO BELIEVE"
People shout out, murmurs, whispers going around, even the gods where in disbelief.
"is that even possible father" Artemis asked her father.
"it shouldn't be" Zeus exclaimed.
"Silence... Let's watch and find out" poseidon yell out to calm everyone down.
"It was normal at first for him but As time went on, and more and more demigods heard of his adventures, they were in awe. It spread to demigods and champions of the other pantheons too."
"Other pantheons... Are you telling me that they are other gods out their" leo shouted, taking everyone off guard. Shocking the demigods that didn't know.
"well to be fair it's not like any of us ever sat down to think about it" Annabeth said, while thinking about it, as if it was possible for the Greeks and Romans to exist why not the others.
"We will talk about this another time" Charion said.
"It was whispered amongst the creatures of the sea, land and sky and the monsters of Tartarus. Their belief was so strong, so unyielding that he ascended."
"Okay that is cool... Like imagine Kronos and the other titans gossiping other it" Percy said chuckling. As the others joined in.
And it was at that moment, He became a god. After all, gods survive and live on from the belief in them, that is where their power stems from.
And it was so that Percy Jackson became a god.
SILENCE... All encompassing silence
An awkward chuckle erupted from percy's mouth "I swear my ears must be failing me Wisegirl because I think I just heard the statement 'Percy Jackson became a god' which am sure is not right yes?. "
All eyes were on him at that point, staring at him like he had grown and extra arm on his head.
He could see zeus's hand itching closer to his bolt... Nobody had said anything and it was starting to annoy him.
"look let's watch and find out what happened then we'll see how it goes from there".
At this point nobody could disagree.
"The first time anyone ever had any inclination of it was when his eyes began to glow an ethereal green and the faint green aura that appeared around his body as he protected Camp Half-Blood from the beach. They played it off as a trick of the light."
"ohhhh so that's what it was, I swear I thought I was seeing things" hazel whisper but in the silence everyone heard it. Heads whipped to her.
"Hazel are you saying that you have seen it happening" Annabeth asked.
"Yeah it was when he first came to camp" she replied, then turned to frank "remember... His eyes where glowing and the faint aura around him... To be honest I thought he was a god at first" she said the last part hiding her face in slight embarrassment.
"ohhhh I remember now... She right when you first came to camp you had this aura around you" frank told, making everything more uncomfortable for Percy.
The next was the overbearing energy that radiated off him as he went through life that made people move out of his way, that made them shiver as he passed, that made them think twice before confronting him, that made them feel as if to bow before the being in front of them. It was doubly so when he fought. The slightly smarter monsters would turn tail and run if they saw him, if they caught even the faintest scent of the sea breeze, if only for a few seconds longer to live. His favourite seat in the Big House, or in the dining pavilion, or in the amphitheatre were left alone. Campers who sat there quickly got up, feeling an indescribable amount of power rush through them, power cracking into their very being and that was what they imagined sitting on an Olympian's throne would be like. Even his cabin felt suffocating to does who entered without his permission.
"WOW" most demigods said, eye shining in awe as they looked at percy.
Little by little, while demigods still called upon their parents for strength, it was becoming more and more common to hope that Percy Jackson would come to your aid. He was skilled enough to be a one-man army. If he was near enough (by some unknown force) he always knew if someone needed his help and he rushed to support. He himself had no idea of any of this.
"He's terrifying when he's fighting" Grover said, "he's enemies really have no idea what their in for when fighting percy". Laughing
The last clue they got, when everything clicked together, was when he bled. Annabeth had gotten the upper hand in a spar and nicked his arm, stopping it at first blood. But it wasn't pure, bright red. It was a murky red-brown that got little concern. The time after that, a nosebleed from overextending himself and stress - it was less red, more light brown. He waved it off and cleaned his face. The last time, a monster got a lucky hit in before being obliterated. Never fight Percy Jackson on the beach.
His cheek bled gold. It ran down his face like a tear, mixing with his golden complexion. You could only really see it because it shone in the afternoon sun.
"Damn" Apollo whispered, he like the other god couldn't believe what they were seeing. They knew percy was powerful even more than the heroes of old but this kid had just done something they didn't even think was possible.
Everyone stood in shock as Annabeth inspected the cut. Chiron was concerned and carted them off to the big house and called for Dionysus. The god pursed his lips and disappeared, leaving behind the strong, maddening smell of grapes.
A month later, Percy Jackson was summoned to Olympus. Annabeth Chase went with him. They stood before the gods, no fear in their eyes, the slightest bit of respect only to not feel their wrath. They were created because of the gods' irresponsibility, they had matured too quickly, too young. Why should they respect them now after everything they put them through? After the one countless promises that they broke?. We will change they said, do better, be better, but even after 2 wars and countless threats they refuse to change, the promises that they made most broken or unfulfilled.
They put Percy through a series of tests, trying to find something. They seemed to have found it as the looks on their faces were grim. Some held sadness, some held fear, some didn't show any emotion at all.
You are a god, they told him. They had no idea how this happened. Annabeth and Athena had the same look in their eye saying they had a hypothesis of how and why.
"Yes I have some theory as to how this happened but as it has never happened before it's still only theory" Athena spoke up .
You must stay on Olympus, they told him. It was for everyone's safety, they said. He refused, telling them that if he was a god he wasn't going to put himself on a pedestal, above everyone else. Not after seeing what that does to a person.
"Damn right I refuse... I won't leave My friends and family behind".
Then you must stay in Atlantis, they told him. Stay in the kingdom of his father. He refused again. He didn't belong there, let Triton hold his place as the godly son of the sea. He didn't want to be there.
I will stay with my family, he told them. The demigods and champions of pantheons. His mother, his step-father and sister. He would not abandon them. Not like them. The gods had varying reactions to his pointed words. He stood tall and unflinching. He was their equal now.
Some of the gods glared at him for that statement and he glared back. It was true so why should he pretend it was not. For all the talk about family most of them only truly care about themselves not the demigods, never the demigods.
I will protect the demigods, he told them. We didn't ask to be born into this world, we didn't ask to be different. We just wanted to be normal, not ostracised. Annabeth held his hand tightly.
If I am a god, then I will be the patron of demigods, he told them. They will live under my protection. They can pray to me and I will answer them. And unlike you, I will keep my promises.
Dionysus can stay here, he told them. I will look after Camp Half-Blood. And Camp Jupiter and New Rome. I will protect them because you didn't. They have my everlasting loyalty. I will fight for them before I fight for you.
Most of the demigods had tears in their eyes... Even thalia and nico were touched by that as most of them had spent nights at times praying for the gods only for nothing. No reply, no sign or anything. Feeling like unwanted children.
And so he stayed.
Perseus Achilles jackson, God of heroes, loyalty, faith, family, seas, war, battle, mischief, order and chaos
" dude you are frickin awesome...like damn" Leo said as he and the others heard the domains. Making the gods even more wary of the young demigod.
"mischief and..."
"chaos, you truly are..."
"the boss percy". The stoll twin, Conner and Travis said, eyes practically sparkling. Making the others around them laugh.
He asked if his soulmate would stay by his side for eternity, he would go mad without her. She said yes. She would go mad without him.
Grabbing annabeth's hand in his giving it a gentle squeeze and a soft smile "thank you wise girl... For staying with me".
"I will always be with you percy" she replied giving him a light kiss.
A year later, Annabeth Chase stopped aging at 24.
A year after that, Percy Jackson stopped aging at 24.
The presence of a god and an immortal strengthened the camps. No monster ever got close. Their belief, prayers and offerings were well-founded. Here stood a god whose power was only matched by the primordial, whose name, myths and legends were tied to multiple pantheons. Who had even demigods of other pantheons and even some gods pray to him.
"Holy shit... Dude you just level up to top of the food chain... Like dude you're on Gaia's level" Leo yelled. As now everyone else understood the extent of the power of the god of heroes.
Looking around percy saw everyone looking at him again this time even annabeth was having trouble keeping a straight face as she looked at him. While some of the gods looked fearful.
But in the end, the only ones left were the god, the immortal, the lieutenant of Artemis, and nico who hades turned into a god to help him out, the Ghost King who resided in the halls of the Underworld.
"wait nico became a god too" Jason said. "so its now you, thalia and Percy stuck together till the end" laughing slightly.
Groaning the 3 huffed at each other.
But Percy Jackson kept his promise. He never abandoned the demigods. He answered every call and every prayer. He protected his family.
As soon as the screen shut off all the gods turned to Percy, most looking at him in barley concealed fear, while others had blank faces.
Though just as Zeus was about to open his mouth all the gods disappeared, surpring the demigods as they heard a soft laugh behind them. Turing around they saw a young man black hair and crimson eyes staring at them.
"hello my name is & @@©¥©¥~¡;\§¶"
"what" as nobody understood what just happened. The name sounded like.. Like... They was noway to even discribe it.
"don't worry about it just call me shadow... Anyway I just wanted to meet you even it I only showed up in the end and tell you not to worry about the gods I wiped their memories so you're safe"
At that moment percy felt the unknown tension leave his body but just as he was about to speak.
"well anyway I just wanted to see you guys... Well bye now" with a snap of his finger all of them went back to where there were before they arrived.
