Gendo OOC? I like to believe he just changed.

Why did I make this so hard on who is who :p, IDK. Enjoy!

Misato kneeled down next to the fridge, sighing at the note in the fridge. "Misato, no alcohol. Please. I don't want Drunken Misato and Drunk Misato Jr running around the house. -Asuka and Shinji."

Misato growled, drooping her shoulders down. "Do they ever drink?" Kaji walked in, "What happened to you?" Misato looked up at Kaji, "I can't drink until they come back~." Misato cried out, whimpering like a dog. Kaji shook his head, "Come on Misato. It's good to let loose."

"Yea?" Misato (Kid) scrambled from the other room.

Kaji threw his head down, "Right. The naming." Kaji tapped the major who was on her knees, "You will be Major Misato because this naming is confusing." Kaji spun around, kneeling over, "When we are here, can we call you Misato Jr?" The man asked, Misato Jr nodded up and down. She ran back to her room, jumping and prancing.

Misato got up from her trance, still muttering about how unfair it is. Kaji followed her into the guest bedroom, grabbing a couple of items from the suitcases they brought. Kaji let the steaming major huff around the bedroom, slowly creeping out to not be put in the alcohol withdrawal hurricane behind him. He found a list of notes, household chores as well as where the EpiPen was. He grabbed a magnet, throwing the list next to several drawings by the kids, accompanied by wedding photos, Eva photos, and group pictures.

He picked one of the photos up, it was a group photo of everybody aboard the Over the Rainbow ship, he gave a grin, placing it in the same spot. He had one hand in his pocket, one on the fridge door. He saw the note, as well as a fully stocked fridge. They were pretty high end ingredients, Shinji was a chef on the side, enjoying the trade. He threw together something fast, his watch alerting him that it was 6:30 PM. (18:30 in Military.) He called everybody in, putting the plates on the table. Major Misato came in first, "I could have cooked, Ryoji." Yui yelled from the other side of the table, "No! Your cooking is very bad!"

Kaji chuckled, slapping the table a couple of times. "No, it isn't that bad." Major Misato told Yui, flashbacking to another time she babysitted.

Misato dropped a couple of instant ramen bowls on the table, calling in the kids. Yui and Misato JR could barely walk now, only being 2 years old. Both Shinji and Asuka were on business trips, Misato came by herself this time. Yui took a bite, spitting it out instantly.

"No!" Yui yelled, crossing her arms. Letting one of the chopsticks fall onto the ground, leaving a small drop of broth on the floor. Misato covered his face in disappointment. She reluctantly called Shinji, listening to the phone ring.

"Misato! What happened?" Shinji asked in a panicked tone. Misato sighed audibly, "How do I make dinner…?"

Shinji started to cry out laughing, "Okay, um. Well-." Shinji began to continue the recipe for a simple egg bowl. Shinji finished his recipe, Misato followed it to a T. She placed the warm bowls on the table, the kids finally eating. She ate her instant ramen bowl, still a little angry. "Thank you, Auntie Misato!" they told her, eating Shinji's recipe.

The kids began to eat, finishing their food very quickly. They weren't picky with their food, they would eat any edible food, except for Misato's of course. The kids thanked Kaji, watching the TV in the living room. Yui reached for the remote, Misato Jr. slapped her hand. "Hey! That's mine." The remote flew across the living room, both of the 4 year olds in a fist fight.

"God, they are both like their mother." Major Misato commented, running over to break up the fight. Major Misato separated them, putting them on the different couches. She sat down with them, beginning to scold them. "Both of you-" the doorbell rang loudly. "Ngh!" she grunted, walking over to the door, 'Perfect timing…' the major thought. She twisted open both locks, removing the chain as well. "Commander?" Major Misato jumped back, surprised. Both kids sprang up, "Grandpa!" they began to hug his left leg, contently smiling. He smiled for the first time in years, still talking through a monotone voice. Ever since SEELE was destroyed, as well as the angels, he had no need for NERV. He was commander in case of a threat. The third impact never happened!

Gendo walked inside, putting his satchel on the coat rack. He lightly placed his shoes on the shelf. His grandkids always got the better of him, his good personality showed. He scooped up both of his grandkids, asking Major Misato something. "Major Kat-, Sub-Commander Katsuragi, did you get clearance for vacation?" Major Misato shook her head, freezing up. 'Oh no…' she thought, hoping for the best, preparing for the worst. "No matter, it's fine." Gendo told her, a little pissed. Major Misato gazed at her boss, confused. 'Did he just- not yell at me?' Kaji waved to the commander, watching as he sat with his grandkids.

"What happened to Mr. Grumpy?" Kaji whispered to Major Misato, trying to compute what the hell just happened. Major Misato shook her head, holding her left hand to her temple. "I'll be staying the night." Gendo told everybody, Kaji replied. "There aren't any more spots, only Shinji and Asuka's bedroom." Gendo pointed to the couch, "I'll be fine here." Both adults were taken aback, confused. "Who are you, and what have you done with the commander?" Kaji asked, giving a questioning stare at Gendo. He didn't reply, watching the TV with his grandkids.

Misato asked Kaji, "The commanders here, can I get a beer?" Kaji nodded no, putting his hands in his pockets. He dragged Misato over to the bed. "It would be nice not to see you with a hangover every single day." She reluctantly went into her bed, crashing face first onto the edge. Her legs were dangling in the air. "Even without alcohol, she looks drunk…" Kaji told himself, hanging up his coat. He turned off the lights, putting his watch on the nightstand next to him. The digital clock next to him blared 9:30 PM in red numbers. He threw a blanket over Misato, trying to falling asleep himself.

He was sitting next to both his grandchildren, watching both of their favorite shows. He was committed to being a good grandfather, making up for his lackluster attempt of being a father. He fell asleep too, both of his grandkids next to him, still awake and full of energy. The TV was still blaring, lights still on.

Both girls finished watching their show, running around the living room. Yui tripped on one of the couch legs, falling onto the hardwood floor. She began to cry, falling straight on her arms. Misato Jr. picked her up, looking at her arms. They weren't messed up, but it still hurt. Yui was crying, sitting down on the floor. Misato Jr. climbed up on the couch, trying to wake up her grandfather. He wouldn't wake up, so he kicked him in a not so nice spot…

"NGH! THIRD IMPACT. Learned it from her mother…" Gendo chuckled, straining. He looked up, looking at Yui. "What happened?" he went back to his monotone voice. Yui was crying, Misato Jr. explained what happened, Gendo picked up Yui. He put her on the couch, looking at her arms. Yui stopped crying at this point, only sniffling a little bit.

Kaji wasn't asleep yet, peeking his head out into the living room. HKaji noticed that everything was already over, and did not need any further help from him. For once, Gendo was doing something, not for himself.

He moved the girls to their room, putting them both to bed. He flicked the lights off, shuffling back to the couch. Completely shutting off the lights and TV, he laid down on the couch. It was brown leather, not the best to sleep on. The former commander of one of the most important military operations in history, now peacefully sleeping on a couch. 'Ironic,' he thought.

The kids were sleeping in their beds. Playing around with a ball, throwing it back and forth. The moonlight and street lights peered through the large gray stained window on the west side of the room. There were several trees, making the view not the best. It still let enough light in to give the twins the ability to see. "I'm bored.." Yui told her twin, pulling the covers up. The red ball was thrown at the ceiling, making a small noise. It landed on the carpeted floor, making another muffled noise. Misato Jr. turned around to face the window.

Kaji was in his room with Misato, rubbing his head. It was well after 12:30 AM at this point. He couldn't sleep, it was one of those nights. If he wasn't here, he could go for a beer himself. He was happy that he was here, seeing the kids. He shut his eyes, waiting for sleep to take him.

A/N: This chapter was okay. It's much harder to write about these chapters because I wasn't thinking about this part of the story. I'm mostly thinking about the honeymoon parts. So these parts may be less quality then the honeymoon ones. I hope you like these chapters as well, enjoy the next chapter whenever I post it. Love you all! R & R!
