Welcome Back to the world of Tensura: Master
The first one to notice the sudden energy was none other than Guy Crimson; the next was his partner Velzard, who was sitting next to him.
The two of them were having tea when they felt it. The power of a strong being before said power vanished without a trace. Guy raised a brow; it wasn't the first time he felt sudden power from a strong being before but it was the first to vanish so quickly...
"That is certainly peculiar, wasn't it? Velzard?" Guy asked the white-haired woman playfully before turning to her, when she didn't reply like she usually did. Guy narrowed his eyes a bit when he felt the multiple emotions going through her all at once. Strange... Just what did she feel from that power to faze her so? "Velzard?" He inquired, wondering what had gotten into her.
She didn't look at him, instead she continued to look where the source of power was felt instead.
The Jura Forest
"I felt..." she finally started, furrowing her brows. "For a moment, I thought I felt another-"
Nostalgia instantly filled him as he looked around. Carefully looking from side to side as if it would all disappear within an instant. 'The sealed cave...' Rimuru could hardly believe his magic sense... the cave was untouched, not a soul–other than its original inhabitants- within it... no Dragonewt's or Dwarfs walking, or chatting around... no research gear scattered in placement...
He really did go back in time...
And the from the looks of it, all the way back before the orc lord... but then how far back is that?
{About a few hours before Master had first left the cave after meeting Veldora~Sama}
"That far back, huh?" He could work with that. "How's Veldora?" He asked a bit worriedly; he was so focused on knowing what had happened and going back in time that he completely forgot about the dragon...
'KUAHAHAHA! I'm perfectly fine! I was [Imaginary Space] the entire time, so I was completely unscathed from injury. Though it did not stop the boredom that plagued me...' Veldora complained through telepathy. Relief filled Rimuru, the sound of his brother's voice settling his worries. 'That Ciel too... she wasn't at all good company! And Not at all fair either! She wouldn't let me win Shogi!'
"Why do you say that like she had just killed your beloved, right in front of your eyes?"
{All because Veldora~Sama kept trying to cheat; He lost 666,782,29 on Shogi, 283,937 on Uno, 1823,982,83 on chess-}
"So smug-"
'EHHH!? You kept track?! Rimuru! Hurry! Stop Her! Before she revels all of my defeats on those 10,000 games we played!'
"Just how much time was on your guy's hands?!"
After an hour of bickering between Veldora and Ciel on who won each game–It was Ciel- and Veldora complaining that he was a horrible friend because he slept too long and forgot about him entirely when he woke up. Kept a smile on his face. His heart warmed with joy as he continued to listen to their conversation as he walked around in human form.
'No, no! He could stretch his arm around the world ten times because he ate this fruit called a 'Devil Fruit' that grants anyone who dares to eat it strange and unique abilities!' Veldora said, enthusiastically telling them about a new manga he had read.
{incomprehensible! Master is far greater!}
"What role do I have in this?" Rimuru shook his head with a laugh, 'honestly these two...' he thought before stopping at the entrance of the cave. It's been a while since he last laid eyes on it.
'Say Rimuru? Just What do you plan on doing here on out?' Veldora asked suddenly, tone unusually serious at the moment. Rimuru couldn't blame him. Besides him, Veldora had loved Tempest the most. Being able to learn new things and meet new people was the precious gifts that Tempest had granted the dragon.
Other than his bond with Rimuru and Ramiris–and his love for manga- it was something he valued most in the world.
So Rimuru could only imagine the rage Veldora had felt when helplessly watching the end of the world...
"Hm, my goal is to find this unknown enemy... and give them a hell they'll forever remember." He replied venomously, a sadistic smile appearing on his beautiful face. His enchanting golden eyes glowing with rage at the thought before calming himself down. "And I've got a general idea on how to go about it first though... I plan on rebuilding Tempest." he had to fix to failure, his mistakes and he wasn't going to waste this chance to do it.
'Oh?'
"Yeah, but I'm not going to let the same thing happen twice." He clenched his fist.
Veldora hummed in agreement, and though he couldn't see it he could tell Veldora was nodding. 'I see, Very Well! I Veldora Tempest Shall Support you on this endeavor! KUAHAHAHA' he declared proudly, Rimuru snorted. "Good, because you get to stay in [Imaginary Space] till Walpurgis"
'Eh?'
{Sounds reasonable}
'EHHH?!'
"Glad you agree Ciel"
'WHAT?!'
{Of Course}
'Wait! Rimuru! My bossum buddy! How Could-'
"Oop, gotta hide~."
'Don't ignore me!'
Rimuru snickered before hiding himself to the side as the ancient door opened.
He was communicating with someone with telepathy.
Who? Treyni didn't know. Whenever she tried to probe, she was blocked. It made her even more curious. Especially when she was hearing such a one-sided conversation going on.
Now you've all probably already guessed who she was talking about.
After all, it was the very creature she was keeping an eye on since the very beginning of appearance.
The slime, Rimuru Tempest.
Though, currently he didn't at all look like a slime.
The one responsible for Veldora's disappearance. Only this wasn't the same slime it was a few hours ago. No, he felt different... much older... much stronger... Treyni pondered over the possibilities of what had triggered this sudden change before deciding on the theory 'Time travel'.
Though, at that point, you might as well declare yourself God. So, if time travel really was the case, then how'd he do it? How could a slime achieve such great heights?
And for that matter, where did the current Rimuru Tempest go?
And where did he get that human form?
So focused on her thought Treyni had almost missed such an important detail. "I'm not going to let the same thing happen twice," the slime declared, determination and venom in his tone. Unknowingly, -or was in perhaps intentional? - the slime had confirmed her theory.
'So, it really is the case,' Treyni thought. Going through the information given to her, He came from the future... and something had happened, and he did not like it from the sounds of it.
How'd he do it?
What had happened?
What made him so angry that he went all the way back in time?
So many unknowns and so little answers...
Treyni smiled coyly.
Maybe, just maybe. He'd answer them for her if she kept watch?
