Molly laid out all of the candles and lit them up one by one.
It was the beginning of fall, a new season for new things. The window was open, letting in some fresh air, a wonderful combination with the aroma of fresh pumpkins and apples. Scratch simply laid at the side and rolled his eyes. He didn't get why she was doing all of this for the new season, but he didn't question it this time around. He knew Molly was just being Molly; she was always excited about something.
She stepped back and took a deep breath of the room. She happily exhaled before she looked at Scratch. He had to admit, the candle smells were making him feel hungry.
"Well?" She asked.
"If you're asking me what I think about this," he started, "then I feel like getting food now."
Molly softly laughed. "Yeah that seems about right."
He could only smirk at that response. She walked over to him and gave him a gentle kiss.
"Do you wanna go outside and play in the leaves with me?"
"Only if I can get some food before we go out." He said.
"Okay, Scratch, it's a deal then!"
