Nashi, 5 months old
Dragneel's House
A year after the marriage of Natsu and Lucy, was the birth of their sweet little Nashi. The old Natsu and Happy's House become the Dragneels House. It was chaotic before Lucy moved in, still the house was perfect for the four Dragneels, Natsu, Lucy, Happy and Nashi.
Nashi is now 5 months old and is actively engaging in playtime with Happy, Happy is a very responsible playmate and guardian to their little princess.
Even before Nashi's birth, the couple is bickering to what would be their child's first word - Greige, Gray and Juvia's son first word was 'mama', that made Juvia very proud and happy, Rose, Erza and Jellal's daughter first said, 'dad,' and made Jellal shed tears of happiness.
And because of that, Natsu and Lucy's competition to make Nashi's first word is to call one them become really serious. They were both excited to hear Nashi utter her first word.
"She will say, 'Dad' because she loves me so much!" Natsu proudly said to his wife.
"No, Nashi will first say "Mommy," because that's what I teach her," Lucy rebuts confidently as she often spend time with Nashi and really tries to convince the little one to say 'mommy' first.
"What do ya think Happy?" says Natsu as he sat on the mat with Happy and Nashi. Natsu assumes Happy will side on him in this conversation.
Lucy grabbed cookies and milk before sitting with them on the living room, the little princess was laughing as Happy flies her toys just a few inches beyond her reach - "I think Nashi's first word is who she loves the most," says happy.
"Ha! See that's me!" Yelled Natsu.
"That's me, dummy" Happy says in a as-a-matter-of-fact tone. Both Lucy and Natsu looked at each other and was about to laugh-
''H-Happy!" Nashi stutters in between her laughs as she reaches out for her Aquarius Doll. Oblivious of the argument happening around her, the little girl was enjoying herself with the rare moments that all her beloved is playing with her.
"B-but baby, what about 'Daddy'?" Natsu took Nashi and made her sit in his lap, Natsu looked so dumbfound while Lucy was still in shock.
"I told you, she loves me!" Happy won this round. He was the best buddy and playmate Nashi could ever ask.
The next day, at the guild hall
Lucy is sitting in front of Mira's bar while master Makarov was sitting in one table with all the guild babies, since the last war, Makarov spend his time inside the guild hall, interacting with every wizard, and since the babies came, he spend all possible time he have with them.
"Uhm Lucy, Juvia noticed Nashi kept on murmuring 'Happy' while playing with Greige," Juvia said and sat beside Lucy.
"Yeah, that was her first word, Happy was so proud of himself," Lucy sorrowful shared.
"Say what?" Both Mira and Juvia said in unison, but Lucy just sighed, still feeling down with the idea of loosing to Happy.
"W-well, that was a bit s-sad, Juvia thinks you can still have Nashi say 'Mommy' as Nashi's second word," empathy filled Juvia's voice.
That seemed to cheer Lucy's mood, her and Natsu have been so down about loosing to Happy and didn't thought the idea of raising for the 2nd word, with this Lucy's mood was uplifted and was able mingle joyful along with the girls.
On the other side of the guild was Natsu, Gajeel and Gray were having casual conversation about their kids.
When Natsu told them that Nashi already had her first word and that's not Daddy. His mistake, now Gray and Gajeel will use that information to mock him for the rest of the season.
After some time, Gray suggested he could still have Nashi say 'Dad' as her second word, just like Greige did, and as simple as that, Natsu was once again in competitive mood against his wife.
Seems like the competition isn't over for the lovebirds.
Note: I actually wrote this quite some time ago, so I kind of written this whole book with my own characters, "Rose" is the daughter of Jellal and Erza and up for the next chapters is "Emma" another own character as Gajeel and Levy's kid, whom will be the youngest in this series – I respectfully ask for your considerations and understanding over these differences, thank you!
