[Read first chapter for warnings]
[I know I was a little lazy in the first one, AND I had to re-upload it because there was weird coding in it and all, so I had to get rid of that and post it again.]
[Constructive Criticism Please and Thank you :)]
"See look Matt!" Tom said quickly running over to him.
"What is it Tom." Matt said, setting his book down next to the tree he was resting his back on.
Tom held his hands out, but they were covering something up... Tom then opened them, to reveal small red pedals.
"Oh no...I had found your favorite flower, but I guess I got a little clumsy..." Tom said, as Matt took the small pedals out of Tom's hands gently, how did he know what his favorite flower was?... Looking down at the small pedals. "That's okay...at least you tried..." Looking back up at Tom.
"Yeah...at least I did...unlike you." Tom said, Matt was taken aback, Tom wasn't one to point fingers, what made him say that? "What do you mean?" Matt said, a bit concerned.
"You could have tried harder...but you didn't...where are you Matt?...I can't find you." Tom said, his black eyes, now filled with tears. Matt felt something in his hands, he looked down to see the petals dissolving into a red liquid, he couldn't mistake the smell...Blood.
His eyes went wide, he rapidly shook his hands to get rid of the blood that now covered his hands, the rest of the pedals that fell to the ground, turned into the red liquid. The red of his vision turned red. Tom stood there, his black eyes, now sad and scared. He too started to turn into the red liquid, dripping into the wind that blew harshly.
"N-no Tom I'm sorry...I didn't mean for this to happen!" He called out disparately to his friend, holding on to the last bit of his friend.
Tom just stood there, "That's okay...at least you tried..." Tom said, as the rest of him dissolved into the wind. Matt just stood there, saying the same thing over and over in his head, recollecting what Tom said "At least you tried..."
Matt felt like all the energy he had right there, wanted to give out. He didn't try hard enough, it was his fault his friends could be in danger. All he wanted to do was cry, but he couldn't, he won't... "I'll find you, I promise..." Matt promised, to what seemed like himself. As his world went black once more...
He jerked awake. He looked around frantically, then slowly calmed down enough to gather his surroundings. The room was small, there was only one light, large shadows at the corners of the room. The room was entirely gray, with one almost see-through screen that was also gray. He realized as he tried to move his arm, that he was strapped to a chair, along with his legs also.
He heard someone yelling beyond the screen, two..no three silhouettes, One was shouting. Oh how he wished he could see them, then maybe he would recognize them, maybe not, who cares... He needs to get out of here.
Then the yelling stopped as the two who was getting yelled at opened the door, letting the third one in.
He had his hands behind his back, why did he look a bit like Tord? But he had scars on the left side of his face, from his point of view. He wore a blue over coat, with something red underneath, he had one robot arm, with black pants and boots on.
Who was this? He looked like Tord, but not Tord?..It was confusing, but he showed no emotion to the one that supposedly kidnapped him. It drove people insane that they couldn't get any information out of him, nor a word. Yes he's been in this kind of situation before, but that was always in an ally way or something, this was a totally different situation as he didn't know where he was.
Then his Kidnapper, seemed to be studying him, leaning down to his face. Then he groaned and stood up straight again. "I can't believe they messed up this badly..." He said pinching the bridge between his eyes, Matt noticing his Norwegian accent. Now Matt was more confused, what was he talking about? The ones that went to his house and took him?... He was suspecting so, maybe they would let him go?...he was hoping so. If he was the wrong one...maybe.
"But...you will do..." He said, seemingly pleased with himself, didn't he just say they messed up?...Looks like he'll go about this the hard way...
Matt was considering his worst options until he spoke again. "How come you're not intimidated? hm?..." Then he chuckled. "Usually people in this situation freak out, cry, plead, whatever pathetic humans do...but you don't seem to be fazed...interesting." The Norsk said, sisterly smiling. But Matt said nothing and only glanced at him from time to time.
Tord (I'm not going to do a lot of P.O.V changes in this story, maybe- TOBF)
What is up with this guy?... He looked like Matt but didn't look like him whatsoever. He even did a DNA test while the subject was out, the same DNA as his old friend,(Don't ask where he got the other DNA), well once old friend. He showed no emotion, didn't say anything. He could see little piercings in his face, he did look well kept and strong, maybe he could be a good soldier, if he didn't find another slice of DNA inside the subject.
He got closer to the subject squinting his eye at him, studying him. He noticed the subject was studying him also, with a stare that could send chills down any grown man's spin, but not his, he ran an army for pet sake. He poked at the subject, only got him a grunt, and an angry scowl. It seemed that he didn't like him poking and prodding him, but this was for an experiment, if the subject was fit enough to be a super weapon and find a trigger to his other form. Which this subject was well fit, but not enough, so he would be forced on the training course for proper training.
His one mistake was poking at his face, the subject seemed to growl, and bite his non-metal hand. Maybe even drawing blood.
"Ow! Son of a-" He hissed in pain, the subject did bite down hard, what he didn't expect that he took an entire fucking FINGER. He shot a look at the subject only for it to spat at him, growling. He was taken aback, this seemingly once emotionless ginger, was now forcefully trying to get out of his bearings. he had a wild look in his eyes, they were now red, snarling, with blood still on his face.
he smirked, he knew his weakness now... So the DNA scan was right. So he was half homo sapien homovorus...also known as a vampire, they were thought to be extinct, well here it was, right in front of him.
Paul and Patrick came in going to his aid, seeing the blood. "Sir, are you alright?" Patrick said, "Yes, just keep an eye on the subject while I go get myself cleaned up." He said, he had some thinking to do. "yes sir." They said, Paul stayed behind while Patrick went with their leader, the Red Leader to be exact.
While Patrick got Tord to sit down, with a towel wrapped on his hand for now to stop the bleeding, Patrick got the first aid kit and some gauze.
He couldn't believe he had one of those..Inside his very own base.
He had done some research on these creatures before...Remembering the difference in external diagnostic features between humans and vampires, they were unsurprisingly pretty subtle, both because vampires never lasted long enough to diverge to greatly from human baseline, also because natural selection is going to promote superficial similarity. However, while virtually identical to modern humans in terms of gross physical morphology, vampires were radically divergent from humans on the biochemical, neurological, and soft-tissue levels. This limited significant physical changes to soft tissue and micro structures that do not fossilize. This is one of the reasons why it's so difficult to identify these creatures in the fossil record- the other reason being that they sat at the very apex of the food pyramid, which means there were quite rare even at peek numbers. Vampires were able to hut themselves down for decades, desiccating down to this biologically dormant condition and entering what's commonly known as an "Undead state."
Maybe that's why it was so hard to find them, he had researched about them for a reason, to make them join and be an unstoppable army. But he was informed they were internationally extinct, so he had to stop his research, and go back to recruiting normal capable soldiers. Which were great and all but what would it be like if they had vampires? They would over take cities faster, take down anyone who would take them on in an instant, and had one in his base right now, probably deprived of blood, or other things a vampire needs.
Patrick came back with the supplies to aid an injured hand, or one that lost a finger. He took the towel off gently, he hissed, some of the fabric stuck to his bloody skin, he remembered that he had to lose his non-functional arm because it was useless, some of the fabric from his old hoodie had stuck to his arm also.
While Patrick was cleaning off his wounds he had told him about how he wanted his new subject to be a super weapon, and explained what the subject was.
"So you want a vampire on our side?...Doesn't that seem a bit risky?" He said, now wrapping the gauze around his hand.
"Yes, yes, I've already taken note of the risk and yatta yatta...It's just, there could be so much benefit if he decides to join, although I'm going to have to go deeper into how he has the same DNA as one of my old friends..." Tord said leaning back in thought.
Paul
It hadn't been long since the leader had left him to watch the 'subject'. It all seemed a little odd, sometimes monitoring the so called subjects, watching their leader, help him if he needed some extra hands, experiment with the subjects, even though they were normal human beings, just like him and Patrick.
But this...thing in front of him was not human. Although it died down some, it still had that predatory look in its eyes. His leader's blood, still on its face, and it was staring right at him, and he was getting a bit crept out. He was silently wanting his leader to hurry up, and get in here. looking at the wall instead. Like that thing could just get up and attack him, from what his leader said, it was half..uh... homtro sapoien homovoruves... or something...a vampire for short... anyways, as a vampire, it could easily kill him in a matter of minutes, even with all his training and years of experience. It maxed him at speed, agility, strength, intelligence, no wonder their leader wanted them in their ranks, their powerful creatures.
He looked back at the Vamp, actually looking at insignificant details. His ginger hair, his blue eyes, the freckles on his face, some black piercings on one of his eye brows, the tip of two fangs, His pale skin, his bloodied purple hoodie, his blue jeans, and black and white shoes. Vampires could easily hide among humans, if they hide their pale skin, and fangs.
(OD) Matt
He was so tired...He wanted to leave, he wanted- no, he wanted blood. He hadn't had human blood in such a long time, usually just going for animals instead, because he didn't want to hurt his friends. But his first taste of blood in a long time, made his instincts come rushing back to him, clouding what was really important at the moment, escaping this place and getting back to his friends.
But they soon went away as the taste on his tongue went dull, and he was just really tired...and hungry, he didn't eat before he was taken.
he already missed home...
