Once upon a time, in a land far away from Equestria, there once was a great land a great city inhabited by all creatures called, Tambelon. It was once ruled by a ram with a magic bell around his neck named, Grogar. Although he ruled with an iron hoof, he wanted more. Grogar wanted to dominate the land of Equestria and he threatened to destroy all of ponykind in the name of all creatures. It wasn't until the evil ram of darkness was confronted by a unicorn wizard known as Starswirl the Bearded. Starswirl told Grogar not to start a war between Tambelon and Equestria as he would never allow him to commit genocide on the ponies. But when Grogar refused, he was later exposed by Starswirl the Bearded and Gusty the Great for studying the forbidden arts of dark magic and Necromancy before Grogar was exiled from Tambelon for his crimes.

As for the creatures, they decided to leave Tambelon to find themselves new homes after their former leader had corrupted and cursed their once beloved land and city, especially after Grogar had placed a powerful curse that prevented The Bell of Freedom, which was the only thing to keep Tambelon safe from all harm, from ringing. That day, Grogar swore revenge and when he returned many years later, he led his army to destroy the land of Equestria, and Starswirl the Bearded knew that he had to put a stop to him once and for all, even if it meant protecting the ponies as well as the Two Sisters who would one day rule Equestria.

And so, Starswirl went into battle with the Alicorn King and Queen along with their Royal Guard. The battle lasted for hours and Starswirl risked his own life to protect the young Princesses from Grogar until the unicorn wizard decided to cast a powerful spell that would not only defeat the evil ram of darkness but have him imprisoned for all time. Once Starswirl had cast the spell to defeat the evil Grogar, he had him permanently trapped inside a magic mirror before Starswirl had him sealed and locked away in the highest room in the highest tower at the City of Tambelon where he would remain a prisoner for all eternity. A prophecy was then foretold that if Grogar should ever return from imprisonment, then he can only be stopped once and for all when an Alicorn Stallion would lead a group of heroes to lift the curse from the Bell of Freedom and ring it so that it's enchantment would destroy the Master of Necromancy and restore Tambelon to its former glory.

Many centuries later, the once beautiful land and city of Tambelon and Grogar were soon forgotten by time as their history became nothing but myth and legend. Tambelon had become a desolate and dark land place and the evil ram of darkness would not be freed from his eternal prison...until now.

PRESENT

A dark and gloomy city stood in a dark, misty, and barren wasteland full of dead trees. The sky was gray with dark thunderclouds that swirled around the abandoned city that is now in ruins due to it being destroyed and forgotten for more than a thousand years. That dark and gloomy forgotten city was none other than Tambelon. It was once a glorious city that was inhabited by creatures until they left when their home had been cursed due to dark magic that came from their former leader, Grogar. In the wilderness, a donkey named, Bray Locksmith, was traveling with an old map in his hoof when he looked up and saw the forgotten city of Tambelon.

"There it is! The lost city of Tambelon. And they said it was a myth! But I, Bray Locksmith, have finally found it!" said Bray.

Bray walked over a bridge and went through the entrance of the abandoned city where the donkey began to explore until he entered a castle at the square where he looked around in awe as he explored the gothic castle from the inside. "Wow! This must be the castle. It's even bigger than I thought. The halls look so ancient." Bray said in amazement before he saw some stairs right in front of him. "Hmmm, I wonder where the stairs lead to," he asked himself. A few minutes later, Bray walked up the stairs until he reached the highest floor of the tower of the ancient castle. The donkey took a few deep breaths and he was exhausted until he saw a wooden door. Bray got up and trotted over to open it and to his surprise, it was unlocked. Bray peaked into a dark room that was covered in cobwebs and dust and it looked like a wizard's office that had been abandoned for decades.

"What is this place? It must be the old office of the Unspoken One." Bray said curiously before he looked around the old office. "Look at all these books and scrolls! They must be a thousand years old. I wonder if I could read one of them." Bray picked out an old book and began to read a few chapters. The book contained all different kinds of dark magic spells and Bray could understand what he was reading despite the book being written in an old foreign language. Bray was feeling hyped up and excited as he was discovering some dark magic spells through the pages of one spellbook.

"Let's see here...Dark Magic, Shadow Spells, Necromancy, Immortality, Voodoo. It's all here! I have never seen such writing in this book! I wonder if there's more..." Bray said as he read.

Suddenly, Bray Locksmith was cut off from reading the dark magic spellbook when he heard a demonic voice in the room that startled him.

"Who dares to trot into my domain?"

"GAH! Who said that?!" Bray yelped. "I did." the evil voice said. "I'm over here." Bray turned around to follow that voice. "Where?!" he said. "Look to your left!" the voice told him. "It's too dark in here. Where are you?!" Bray yelled. "I'M RIGHT HERE!"

Bray looked from behind him and saw a demonic figure inside a magic mirror. It was a ram of pure evil. He had blue fur, glowing red eyes with transparent black goat pupils, yellow-stained sharp teeth, deep blue horns, and hooves, and he wore a golden collar with round rubies and at the center of that collar was an enchanted golden bell, the Bewitching Bell. Bray was shocked and frightened at what he had just seen before him as he gasped. "You're a magic mirror. Who are you...the Unspoken One?" Bray asked.

"That is not my name. I am Grogar." the ram replied as he said his real name. "Grogar? But I thought that you were a myth." Bray said before Grogar shouted at the donkey as a powerful wind blew across the room from his voice through the mirror. "SILENCE! I am neither myth nor a legend. I may have been forgotten after more than a thousand years of being imprisoned, but I will not be mocked by some common mule!" Grogar said harshly. "I'm sorry. It's just that I've never met someone like you before. How did you end up inside of that magic mirror?" Bray asked the ram in the mirror.

"Good question. I wish that I had an answer. It was all Starswirl the Bearded's fault! He used a powerful spell to put me inside of this accursed prison before he had me locked away for over a millennium!" Grogar told Bray. "I intended to destroy all life in Equestria, but when my enemies defeated me and locked me away inside of this castle after trapping me inside of this mirror of a prison, I never thought that I would be imprisoned for eternity and I was very lonely...until you came along," Grogar said before he made a devious smile. "Perhaps you can assist me in getting out of this prison. First, you will need a spellbook."

"A spellbook? But where can I find that to release you?" Bray asked. Grogar instructed the donkey on which spellbook he could use to set him free like a genie in a bottle. "Go over to that bookcase. Search there and you will find a black book that can set me free. Go to page 37 and find a spell that can release me."

Bray paused before he replied, "Okay. I'll go look for it." The donkey searched through the bookcase until he found a black book with red markings on it and a skull at the center of it. "Ah-ha! There it is. Okay, let's see here." Bray said before he searched for Page 37.

Bray opened the black book and he went over to page 37 where he found a spell that can undo the spell that Starswirl used to trap Grogar inside the magic mirror. The donkey began his incantation with the spell as he spoke in a foreign language which is Tambelonian language which sounds like a mix between Greek, German, and French. A language that Bray took years to learn and he not only practiced the old foreign language, but he also studied Tambelonian history, culture, and its people. But the donkey had no idea of who he was dealing with.

When Bray Locksmith finished the incantation of the releasing spell which he read out loud in Tambelonian language, a bolt of lightning burst out of the book, and then it stroke the magic mirror, causing it to crack. Grogar laughed maniacally until the mirror shattered and released a large amount of purple smoke around the study. Grogar stepped out of the mirror as the black haze around diminished and Bray instinctually took a few steps back in fear. The Demonic Ram had his eyes closed and breathed in deeply through his nostrils and took a breath out through his mouth as a fanged smile appeared on his muzzle, "Finally, I am free! FREE!" He shouted letting out a demonic laugh.

Bray took a shaky step forward and said, "Uh, Y-yes, um, uh, Welcome back to Equestria oh Mighty Emperor Grogar." He then bowed before Grogar cut his laughter and scowled at the donkey.

Bray saw the glare and gagged as Grogar's used his magic to grab him by the throat and pulled him over to his face, "And WHO, might you be Worm?" He demanded as horns glowed a blood and anger red.

Bray choked a few times before he managed to get some words, "I, I am Bray the Donkey Master Grogar! I'm, the one who, ACK, freed you, my dark emperor! I wish for you glorious reign of tranny over Equestria to return!" He insisted as Grogar studied the babbling equine with suspicion and a hint of curiosity. The Ram then humphed and dropped Bray on his flank as he caught his breath and Grogar walked away from the wheezing donkey and off the pedestal and spoke without even looking at him, "Hmm, an equine betraying all of the realms to free me? Why?" he asked.

Once Bray caught his Breath he spoke and scowled angrily, "I didn't turn my back on Equestria, Equestria turned its back on me!" He insisted as stood up glaring at the floor, "I was an archivist of all Equestria history! Everything from The Pillars of Equestria to the Legends of the Umbrum Ponies! And what thanks do I get?! Nopony or creature ever respected, I have kicked around, insulted, and ridiculed through Equestria no matter where I went. I've done NOTHING to hurt the ponies before them and they still feel the constant need to treat me like the dirt we walk on!"

Grogar listened to Bray's story with attention. He could sympathize with what the Donkey felt. For he too knew what it was like to be tormented and hurt by ponies when had done them no wrong beforehand. He scowled at the thought of a light indigo unicorn and lavender sheep laying down on the floor, lifeless and in a puddle of her blood going through his corrupted mind. He pushed that memory of another life away as he glanced back to Bray he stood before him looking proud.

"I did my research on Equestria history to find some way of getting those Ponies back! And then I stumbled upon your legend," Bray went as an evil smile came to him, "though there was oh so little to be found, I did find the proof you existed which eventually led me here, and I managed to free you so that we may exact vengeance upon the Ponies of Equestria!"

Grogar simply held his grimace and raised a brow at the Donkey, "So you freed me and expected me to be loyal to you and aid you in conquering Equestria?" He asked. This brown fool must be truly idiotic if he thought he had freed him. Grogar had sensed a sudden weakening in Equestria's magic which allowed him to gather enough strength to break himself free, but Bray didn't need to know that.

Speaking of Bray, the donkey quickly backtracked and shook his head, "Oh no, no, no, no Great Grogar! I have no interest in becoming a leader! I freed you so that I would serve you when you ruled Equestria as your Advisor!" He assured with a nervous grin.

Grogar hummed in thought, he had never thought of having an advisor before, but it would be quite useful to have one to amuse himself, and this donkey's knowledge of this modern Equestria could be useful to him, "I see, and you do not care at all what I do to the ponies and the other creatures of this land?" He asked the Donkey, wanting to be sure this fool wouldn't get any second thoughts eventually and try to betray him.

Bray however scoffed and turned his head from the Emperor, "Pah, you can do what you like with them for all I care! As long as I see them feel all the pain and misery I felt, I'll be content with anything you do to Equestria!" He said with every bit of Confidence.

Grogar was impressed by how Bray was willingly throwing away all care for Equestria and its people, all to just see them suffer as he did. The dark emperor then grinned wickedly as he approached the Donkey, "I welcome this truly dark wish, my friend!" He said coolly, placing a hoof on Bray's shoulder as the Donkey flinched, "Very well then Bray, my loyal Advisor. Together you and will crush Equestria under our heel and then all of Ponykind will wish they have never been born as I take my rightful place as the one true Emperor of this land!" Grogar declared holding a hoof up to the sky and Bray smirked as well.

Grogar then removed his Hoof from Bray and turned to the Center of the room, "But if we are to do this, we will need assistance." His horns and bell glowed red as a Necromancy Magic circle appeared on the floor, "Fortunately though, My time trapped in that accursed Mirror had not prevented me from seeing into the bowels of the Underworld, and from there I found the perfect being to act as my Ally?" Grogar explained as his terrifying smile appeared on his face.

Bray raised a brow at what his Master said, "Um, and who would that be my Emperor?"

Grogar didn't answer as his bell glowed a ghostly green as black crystal fragments came rolling in from the entrance and gathered at the center of the magic circle. Bray watched in awe while Grogar grinned widely as the crystal formed into the dark shape of a bipedal creature with white fur, grey skin, a long tail, claws, clover and claw feet, black armor, and horns, and a strange symbol on its chest plate. And the first thing the creature said as it was fully completed was...

"OI!" The Creature said revealing to be the very creature who invaded Canterlot sometime ago and was long since dead after that event: The Storm King. And the Primate-like tyrant held his neck as stretched, "Who knows how many days of being a pile of broken crystal, Can give ya such a creak in the neck!" He complained as he straightened himself out.

Grogar looked unimpressed by the display while Bray seemed utterly shocked and turned to him, "Th-th-th-the STORM KING?! M-m-m-my Emperor, forgive me for speaking out, but are you certain this is wise?!" He asked frantically, clearly remembering the Storm King was known and feared throughout the land.

Grogar didn't even look at Bray as he said, "Indeed Bray, trust me this fool is nothing to worry about, for he is only a whiny, arrogant fool who needs the power of others to truly be seen as a threat." He stated as the Storm King stopped stretching and turned to the Ram looking annoyed.

"Hey, there pal! Who are you calling Whinny and a fool?!" He demanded looking Grogar right in the eye, "I had pretty all of the land around Equestria quaking in their boots because of me! I had a whole army of storm beasts at my command! I even my very own Merchandise!" He then pulled out a bobblehead of himself from behind his back.

"Where did you get that?" Bray asked, wondering how the Storm King had that on him.

Ignoring the donkey, Grogar knocked the toy away and sneered at the child of a tyrant, "If you must no worm, I am Grogar, Emperor of Tambelon, Master of the Dark Arts, Father of Monsters and I'm the one who pulled your worthless hide back into the world of the living!" HE shouted as the Storm King and Bray recoiled, "And you will show your gratitude for my Generous gift by serving me as the commander of my army and aiding me in my conquest of Equestria!"

The Storm King though intimidated a bit, raised a brow, "Aaand, What's in for me if go along with your shtick?" He asked.

Grogar merely smirked, "Well you will be free to rule over any part of Equestria you wish once my reign is secured, and" He then pulled the Storm King close to his face as he gave him a wide, fanged grin, "I will be less likely to give you the most agonizing demise possible if do accept, so what's your answer, sir?"

The Storm King sweated and darted his eyes around, weighing his options. Valuing a lot less painful life, the Storm King answered with a nervous grin, "Uh, where do start boss?"

Grogar gave a much smaller smile but no less sinister as he pulled the Storm King and Bray close to him and wrapped his dark magic around their necks, almost choking them, and had them on either side of him, "Patience, first we must continue gathering allies to help us in our conquest. And once we have enough All of Equestria will fear and cry out the name of Emperor Grogar!" He smirked evilly and held up his hoof as the bell glowed.

He dropped his smile as he glanced at his two new allies, "But first, you will tell of the little mare and her band that had managed to keep Harmony and Light in the world alive for so long," He then gave a predator-like growl as he narrowed his eyes and spoke the name of possibly his greatest enemy ever, "Tell me everything you know about this...Princess Twilight Sparkle."
