This is a short chapter, I'm seriously running out of ideas, but alas better to write something than nothing at all, right?

"Jade, let them go."

"They don't want me to!" the Goth said, holding her daughters protectively. "They don't want to go to school, do you girls?"

"No" Danielle said bluntly "It's you who doesn't want to let go mommy."

"Even they can see that Jade." Tori said with an eye roll "Come on, don't make a big deal out of this, so it's the girls first day of school, it's a happy time, so let them go, Dani and Tawny will be fine, we picked this kindergarten we know it's perfectly safe, they'll learn a bunch of cool stuff, have fun and make friends, come on baby... Let them go."

"Don't wanna." Jade mumbled, her daughters still in her arms.

"Mommy we'll be back soon!" three year old Danielle promised.

"Pinky swear" Tawny said.

"Can't you two just wait another year to start school?"

"Jade, release them now!" Tori ordered. "Or so help me I'll hide your favorite pair of scissors for a year!"

Reluctantly the Thespian obeyed her wife.

"Bye mama!"

"Bye mommy!"

Jade slowly waved her children goodbye as they entered the kindergarten.

Tori was soon behind her, putting her arms on her wife's waist and kissed her neck.

"They'll be fine Jade." The Half-Latina whispers soothingly in her ear "Come on, we both know you weren't making a scene because you were about their protection."

"You're right" The former Goth sighs "It's just... It was hard to let them go of their hands... Our babies are growing up."

"They're three Jade." Tori said dryly "We still have plenty of time for them to find boys disgusting and fear getting cooties or whatever, you have nothing to worry about."

"Yeah... Yeah..." The pale woman grunted "That's true."

"You only need to worry when they get interested in boys and decide to go out on dates."

"I hate you."

"I love you too baby." Tori said teasingly.

"Tori?"

"Yeah?"

"Is it illegal to put cameras inside the school?"

"Very... So don't even think about it."

"How come you're dealing with this better than me?"

"Simple, you're very attached to our daughters and want them to stay in the toddler phase for as long as possible, you want them to stay young and innocent, kinda like how my dad was when Trina and I were at that age.?

"Did you just compared me to your dad?"

"Jade, you're like the embodiment of a female dad."

"How the fuck does that make sense?"

Tori pretended to think, her finger under her chin "Umm, let's see, you have a heart attack at the mention of our girls eventually dating."

"They're three!" Jade snarled "Too young to date."

"I'm not arguing that, I'm just saying that you can't bear the thought, which is why you don't want them to grow up too fast."

"Spare me the lecture doctor Freud."

"You also scare any boy that gets near them and I doubt that's stopping anytime soon."

"It's only a matter of time till our girls become beautiful young women, better be prepared when they do, the scarier I am to any possible guy getting cozy with the twins, the better."

"You realise you just made my point right?"

"Oh shut up."

Tori giggles "Come on, we gotta go to work."

Both women started walking towards their car.

"I don't like this... Not one bit."

"Again, that's the overprotective father in you talking."

"Well, when the overprotective mother inside of you comes out, I'm sure I'll return the favor."

"As if." Tori said smugly "I'll be the level headed parent no matter what."

"You keep telling yourself that."

"I will, and you know why? Because it's the truth."

Years Later:

"Tony!" Jade bellowed "Tony where are you?! Come on son, it's your first day of school!"

The former Goth was searching all over the place for her youngest child, while her wife as sitting on the couch, her arms crossed and a smile of satisfaction gracing her feature.

Jade eventually stood in front of her.

"Can I help you with something?"

"All right Vega, I know you're behind this twisted game of hide and seek."

"But... Whatever do you mean?" Tori asked innocently, with her face turning sour "And it's West."

"Don't play dumb." Jade hissed "Where's our son?"

"I'll never tell." The tanned woman said "Tony's too young to go to kindergarten."

"He's three." Jade replied dryly "He's exactly the right age to start going to school, making friends, having fun and learning."

"School is full of germs." Tori said stubbornly "How could it not? All kids have them."

"Oh and I suppose we have the only healthy little boy in all of Hollywood."

"That's right."

"Look, Vega, I don't have time for this." Jade grunted looking at her watch "Tony's going to school and that's that, now where is he?"

"In a place you're never be able to find him."

The former Goth started thinking then got her phone out.

"Who are you calling?" Tori asked suspiciously.

"Shh... It's ringing..."

Ring..., Ring... Ring...

"Hello?"

"Hello, Trina?"

Tori stiffened, which Jade noticed.

"Oh, hi Jade." Trina said nervously. "What can I do for you?"

"Clue number two."

"I think we both know." The thespian said evenly "Where's my son?"

"Uhhhh... With Tori?"

"Are you asking me or telling me?"

"Telling you?... I'm telling you, you don't have to be such a gank all the time you know!"

Unfortunately, the word 'gank' catched Anthony's atention, which he quickly understood that his mom was nearby.

"Hi mom!" Tony saluted loudly "Mama wanted me to play hide and seek with you but I'm bored now... Can we play something else?"

"Shhh Anthony!" Trina admonished quietly "You'll give your mama's plan away."

"I can perfectly hear you Trina." Jade said "Don't move, I'll go to pick up my son."

Jade terminated the call, giving her wife a glare.

"You got your sister involved in this?"

"Uhhhh..."

Suddenly Tori bolted out of the couch, Jade followed soon after.

"Tori Vega!" Jade bellowed "You can't keep doing this! Sooner or later you're gonna have to accept that Tony's going to have to go to school!"

"Not if I reach Trina's house before you!"

Jade shook her head.

"I was never this bad with the twins."

I can only say that the idea of Jade being close to the twins was indeed inspired by TV shows I seen where fathers are indeed overprotective or in some cases totally embarrass their daughters which Jade will do eventually.

As for Tori, well she just can't seem to let go of her son now can she?

Anyway, your thoughts?
