Author Notes: Since the year is coming to a close, here's some more parenting courtesy of Jade and Tori, and of course I'll be keeping it within the theme of the New Year celebration or rather BEFORE the festivities, you'll see what I mean soon enough, XD.

"What are you doing up here by yourself Mijo?"

Tony looked from the night sky to his mother.

"Oh, hey mama." He greeted "I just thought about looking up at the stars before the fireworks get started."

"And you're here alone rather than with us doing that?" Jade asked, coming out of the shadows, standing next to her wife "Seems kinda rude don't you think?"

Tori and Tony stared at her in surprised, apparently the former Goth was unaware of the irony behind her words.

"Well, Emily's spending time with her parents this year and the rest of her family and I didn't feel like watching everyone else kissing at midnight when I'm all.. You know... Alone."

Both women sat down on each side of their son.

"There's always next year Mijo." Tori said trying to cheer him up while Jade slapped herself in the forehead, she sent the Half-Latina a glare, muttering "Let me handle this."

"Tony, you don't have to be here just to avoid seeing what's going to happen at midnight, spending the first moments of New Year's alone is not gonna magically make Emily appear out of nowhere."

"I know." He grunted "But it doesn't make it any easier; I mean it's the first time I have a girlfriend and she's not around to give the midnight kiss... It's not fair."

"Well Tony, you can either sit here and complain or you can do something about it."

"What do you mean mom?"

"Yeah Jade." Tori asked suspiciously "What do you mean?"

"You're here, Emily's house is like a twenty minute drive." Jade said with an eye roll "Go to her place, sneak in and surprise her!"

"WHAT?!" Tori exploded "That's a stupid advice!"

"Is it?" Jade asked cheekily.

"YES!"

"Well you would know seeing as that's what you did back in High School so I wouldn't spend New Years alone."

Tori said nothing to that; instead she crossed her arms, pouting away.

"So, you think Emily will like if I that?" Tony asked curiously.

"She'll love/hate it." Jade and Tori said at the same time.

They glared at each other, pretty much asking with intensity "What the hell do you think you're doing?!"

"Vega... Let him go..."

"Tony... New Years is meant to spend it with family... You can see your girlfriend another day."

"What if his girlfriend sneaked out of her house to see her boyfriend?"

The three West sharply turned around to be face to face with the blonde, who waved mischievously "Hi Tony."

"Emily!" The boy said happily walking over to his girlfriend "Are you here? For real?... But I thought... That... You... Me... I... What... How... When...?"

"You're rambling." She teased, grabbing his hand "You feel that? I'm really here and not a figment of your mind."

"There's that sarcastic spunk I come to miss." Tony grinned.

Tori cleared her throat... Quite loudly. "You know, we're still here."

"Oy... Vega..." Jade thought frustrated "Well... These two look like they want to be alone, so come along Tor... We have a party to get back to."

Jade grabbed her wife by the wrist, as they walked away she gave her son a wink while Tori kept complaining all the way.

"What?! No! Jade they don't need to be alone! We should take them with us and keep an eye on them!"

"Nah... Better give them privacy." The thespian shrugs "Besides, the countdown's about to start and my lips are getting lonely."

"WHAT?! HOW CAN YOU EVEN THINK...?"

Before Tori could say anything else, Jade smacks lips with her, shutting up quite effectively.

"ummm." Tori hummed "Loved these lips."

Emily and Tony saw the pale woman making a discrete movement with her hands telling them to "Go." while Tori was distracted.

Both teens got the message and walked down the stairs to have their own "Midnight kiss."

"Umm." Tony hummed "Emily's quite the kisser... And she's mine."

When Tori came out of her daze, she ran like the wind, trying to find her son before he did something aside from kissing "that gutter girl."

Without much success.

Jade just kept teasing her.

"You're getting warm... Warmer... Cold... Colder..."

"JADE! Do you even know where they're hiding?"

"Hiding?" Jade teased "Who?"

"Tony and Emily!"

"Nope... I was referring to our dinner, it's getting cold because you're playing hide and seek."

"JADE!"

Yes, the Wests are hosting a party but I don't think anyone cares if I described that and instead went with the comical part of Tori freaking out.

I know I already wrote something with Tony and Emily on New Years which was on chapter 51; so just think of this happening a year earlier.

Jade made a reference to my fic "In with the new, Out with the old" since she suggested Tony pulling a move Tori made in high school.

Speaking of Tori, she sure isn't liking the fact that her son is growing up and actually tried to prevent him to kissing Emily as a way to keep him "innocent" for as much as possible while Jade accepted the fact that Tony's becoming a man long ago and tell him "yes" when Tori says "no."

It has come to my attention that I never once described how Emily looks like; So at the suggestion of Lushcoltrane Imagine Olivia Holt portraying the feisty blonde.

Anyway, Happy New Year to all of you my readers! Hope to see you all in 2018.
