"Jazen, come here for a second." A light tan-skinned man with dark blue hair that seemed to be in his late 20s or early 30s called up from the balcony down to a boy that was now climbing up a ladder. The boy looked about 6 with midnight blue hair and black accents, the fair skin the man had and eyes that shone a deep gold. He reached the top of the ladder as he had a smile on his face, knowing that the man was calling him for their favorite part-time, star-watching.
"I'm here dad!" The man smiled at his son as the boy leapt into his arms, he wasn't like this around anyone, not even his own mother after she left the two behind. He was more quiet with others, but with him he was the same excitable child that he raised.
"Jazen, since it's the first day of Spring and your birthday, I wanted to show you a constellation that shines the brightest on this day. We've gone through constellations like Leo, Virgo, both of the Ursas, but now I want to show you one that you will love." Jazen followed his dad up to the roof of their house, surrounded by a sparkling lake as well as a city skyline in the distance. "Now Jazen, what is the biggest constellation that we've gone through so far?" Jazen looked at the night sky and saw Virgo and smiled, "It's Virgo! It's even bigger than Ursa Major!" The man nodded with a smile before saying, "Well, there's a constellation even bigger than Virgo, one that I know will knock your socks off." The two arrived at the roof and plopped onto the roof on their backs, staring up at the clear night sky as the stars seemed to shine even more.
"Now Jazen you see where Leo is right?" Jazen nodded with a smile, pointing out where Leo was in the sky as his father put his arm next to his and guided his arm. "Now, go down a bit, past Corvus, and you see that star right there?" Pointing at a star below constellation Corvus, Jazen nodded as his father began moving his arm, so Jazen followed as the stars connected in a line, Jazen widening his eyes as the stars made a head at the top, with a snake-like connection. "Jazen, that right there, is the largest constellation in the sky, the one that I connect with the most, constellation Hydra." Jazen's gold eyes glowed with astonishment at the sight, the constellation looked beautiful, even more so than anyone he had seen before. "It's so beautiful dad…" was all Jazen could say as his father smiled at his son's enamored face, just like when he viewed the constellation for the first time as the sky seemed to respond to their amazement, a meteor shower appearing from Hydra's place in the sky as Jazen's smile grew and grew and his father stood up at the true spectacle.
"Let me tell you a story, Jazen, about why that constellation is named Hydra. It is a legend that has been passed through the world through ancient text in some ruins in the country." The son nodded, as he knew his father was an archaeologist as well as a historian. Jazen's father sat down at the edge of the roof as his son sat next to him, leaning close as the meteor shower passed them by. "In the distant past, there was once a man, a man known as Poseidon, who lived in a kingdom and was the elder brother of a king, a man known as Zeus. Poseidon was Zeus's elder brother, but gave up the throne to him as Poseidon loved the freedom of the world and instead of ruling, provided guidance to Zeus. Poseidon had a bey, one that he used to defend his brother's land from afar, and used it to cement his own legendary status. When he died, his younger brother Zeus used the power of the Earth, known as the energy of Gaia, to shoot the bey's spirit into the sky and into a distant planet, and the bey that Poseidon used was known as Hydra. A Hydra was an uncontrollable mythological beast, and Poseidon turned it into a bey that was only controllable by him, and because Poseidon's bey spirit burned so bright that it couldn't be put out, it connected with the constellation and made it so that the planet that Hydra's energy got shot into was the only planet not visible to our human eye. Zeus shot it into the planet that only Poseidon was able to see with his own eyes, he shot it into Neptune." Jazen wowed at the story while the meteor shower subsided and then he asked, "So what happened to Hydra? Where is that bey now?" Jazen's father chuckled at his son's curiosity, "Well, Hydra was lost to time and grew very weak, not having an owner that could bring out its full potential and connect with the constellation. The bey's spirit couldn't be brought out by those former bladers, so some people locked it away, just waiting for a person who could once again bring out its full power. A person who could fully connect with it. Who knows, maybe you could be that person, maybe Hydra could be waiting for you." Jazen's father smiled at his son who seemed deep in thought before smiling. "Then I'll for sure find Hydra, and I'll unlock its powers and make sure it can battle at full strength again!" Jazen's eyes glowed a deep gold and a dark blue aura sparked out of him as his father rubbed his hair. "I hope you do Jazen, I want my son to be the one who could find the legend and fully awaken it." Jazen then got lifted by his father into the air and started laughing as they both went back into the house to rest, while constellation Hydra shone in the clear night sky, illuminating their house almost as much as the moon above.

5 YEARS LATER: March 21st, Indonesian Archipelago, Java
Echoes of steps bounced across the cave's walls, the sound of water pounding on the outside being the only thing silencing these echoes as three people walked through the underwater cave, finding the one entrance through the waterfall above.
"Oh man I can't wait to see what type of treasure that's gonna be here! Let's hope it's something cool, ever since Mr. Keiwan said he was gonna bring us along for this, I've been keeping myself up at night just waiting!" A boy with white hair with a red patch in it on the right side and golden eyes that looked around 12 years old grew excited at the prospect of exploring the cave and finding out what was inside it.
"Calm down Ryuto, we don't need the cave collapsing on us. Plus, all you want is the treasure inside." Jazen, who just turned 11, looked at his friend that he had known for quite some time now. His hair was now a bit longer than before, still the same Midnight Blue and same golden eyes, but now had a sleeveless white top on with a collar that was separated in the front, as well as the top splitting off near the bottom, becoming four separate sides, two in the front as well as two in the back as well as black pants with a scale-like design on the bottom and black shoes. The boys then heard chuckling as they looked back and then saw Jazen's dad holding a flashlight and shining it in front of them.
"Don't worry Jazen, this cave has been here for millennia and hasn't fallen to the water pressure above. And you should really get some more sleep Ryuto, I brought you both along for Jazen's birthday since my partners said they wouldn't come anywhere near this place, saying something strong was blocking the passage and they couldn't push the entrance open.
"Well what are we waiting for, let's GO!" Ryuto ran ahead with a grin as Jazen shook his head and ran after him, Keiwan just laughing at the two pre-teens before slowly following them. "Mr. Keiwan/Dad! You might want to come see this!" Keiwan eventually arrived as the two kids were looking up before he pointed the flashlight up and saw the huge stone creature in the wall above them, as well as a large stone ball inside the wall that looked like it could be pushed. The creature had multiple heads and looked big, muscular, and serpentine, with a hide of scales, four reptilian legs, large claws and a long, coiling tail.
"Do you guys have any idea what this creature is?" Jazen then spoke up with an amazed tone, "It's a hydra, I can't believe it! Why is there a Hydra figure in Indonesia?!" He began to ramble as Keiwan took out his camera and took pictures of the amazing sight above him before noticing how the line that the stone ball could be pushed into reminded him of something, something all too familiar to him and his son.
"What's a hydra?" Ryuto innocently asked as Jazen began to explain what the creature was to his friend while Keiwan went up to the stone boulder and tried to push it, noticing it wasn't budding before taking out a small drill and trying to see if the stone could be drilled through, before the drill broke on impact with the stone.
"This is no ordinary stone, this is something else altogether. Boys, come here!" The two boys came to the stone as Keiwan pointed to the boulder. "Let's try to push this." The boys and Keiwan tried to move the boulder, exerting as much power as they could as the boulder didn't even budge before Ryuto and Keiwan stopped trying to push while Jazen just looked at the boulder.
"Jazen dude, that is not gonna budge. Let me try something!" Ryuto said with a smile as he prepared a white launcher and got his bey, a combination of a light green energy ring that resembled a type of dragon, an alpha fusion wheel made for attacking and assault, an 85 spin track and finally a rubber semi-flat performance tip. "GO, ALPHA DRAGONIS!" Ryuto launched his bey at the wall to destroy it, Dragonis hitting the stone with an explosion soon following as the smoke cleared, with Dragonis cutting somewhat through the stone but not nearly enough as Ryuto grew angry. Jazen was silent as he stared at the boulder before Keiwan tried to walk towards his son, who looked at his father before looking back at the boulder and putting his hand on the boulder, a dark blue and black aura surrounding him as Keiwan stepped back. "What the… Jazen!" Ryuto and Keiwan could only stare in amazement as the aura surrounding Jazen and the stone before it began to move on its own up the line as each point the stone got lit up in a blue light.
"It's constellation Hydra, can it be?" Keiwan began to connect the dots as Ryuto looked at his friend with awe and excitement. "GOOD JOB JAZEN, I DON'T KNOW HOW YOU DID IT BUT NICE!" Jazen moved his hand in remembrance of what his father helped him point out on this day four years ago and something he would point out every year since. The stone eventually reached the final point as constellation Hydra lit up the stone wall before the Hydra creature got sucked into the wall and the wall split in half, with a shrine standing in front of them now as the wall fully opened to reveal many deadly snakes and other venomous reptiles surrounding the path ahead, a path to a bey that lay deep in the stone floor with a ring of stone heads surrounding it.
"Black Mamba, Puff Adder, Inland Taipans, King Cobra, Eastern Tiger Snakes, Komodo Dragons, some of these aren't native to Indonesia and yet they are all here, and these are all deadly. JAZEN, RYUTO, GET BACK!" Keiwan yelled as the reptiles all looked towards the loud noises and started hissing as Keiwan tried to grab Ryuto and Jazen to run away as the reptiles rushed towards them ready to strike before Jazen glowed a dark blue and black, the reptiles all looking at him and hissing as he began walking, the aura making all the reptiles step back in fear as Jazen's eyes glowed. "JAZEN DUDE, WHAT'S HAPPENING?" Ryuto still looked at his friend with amazement as Jazen walked in the room with fearlessness and watched as his friend moved through the sea of deadly reptiles, not one even daring to attack him before he arrived at the bey in the floor and finally said words. "You've been waiting all this time for someone, and when I arrived, you reacted to me."
"Jazen, who are you talking to…" His father called out before Jazen reached out toward the bey, his aura getting even stronger. "You felt my spirit when I interacted with that rock and called out to me, using these animals to see if I was scared…" His hand touched the floor where the bey was and smiled, "My dad told me about you before, I've wanted to find you for so long, to just see if the legend was true or not. Ever since then, my spirit would burn just thinking of the thought of trying to find you, to find the bey that hundreds of people tried to use, but could never find the right person." The bey began to glow dark blue and black, responding to Jazen's spirit as the heads around it fell into the ground, one by one. "I can feel you responding to me. You feel I have the spirit, now LET ME SHOW YOU, JUST HOW CAPABLE I AM!" Jazen screamed as he began to pull the bey out of its slot as suddenly Jazen got pulled out of the cave and suddenly opened his eyes and found himself in the deep sea. "Where…" He looked ahead and saw no life forms for miles before two golden eyes opened in front of him with a growl as a dark blue spirit rose in front of him, looking at him with a growl. It was a hydra, one that was getting ready to strike him. "I see, so you're testing me…" Jazen moved toward the Hydra and stared at it with a strong gaze, both of their eyes glowing a strong gold as the Hydra roared, and Jazen seemed to understand what it was saying and nodded. "Yes, I promise to grow into someone worthy of being by your side. I am Jazen Shinkai, your new partner, and I'll make sure your power will be restored! I'll be a blader that will end up in the history books, you can count on it!" The Hydra spirit seemed to agree with the sentiment and roared again, the seven heads all glowing as Jazen's aura kept growing and growing, all of their golden eyes shining throughout the deep ocean as back within the cave, a light erupted as Jazen removed the bey from the floor and yelled in triumph. The bey shined a dark blue and black aura and lit it up the room as the reptiles stepped into the shadow. The facebolt was midnight blue and comprised 7 black serpent heads. The energy ring was also dark blue and looked like a mass of snakes writhing out of control. Several ridges were just out of the top with metal edges around the ring and nearly invisible black stripes made of rubber. The fusion wheel looked sleek, but thick. It had eight ridges that faced counter-clockwise and looked like waves lashing out that seemed like they could be pushed back in and it was painted black. The spin track was a dark blue Variable 145, and it had a black Around Sharp performance tip. Keiwan slowly approached his son as Ryuto followed behind with a massive grin on his face.
"Jazen…" The boy exited his high and looked at his dad and best friend with a wide smile and pointed the new bey at them. "Dad, Ryuto, meet the bey of legend. Deep Sea Hydra!" Keiwan stood back in awe as Ryuto ran up to his friend. "Jazen dude, this is so amazing! The treasure in here was a bey, that's AWESOME!" Keiwan looked at the bey in Jazen's hand and remembered what his son told him.
"Then I'll for sure find Hydra, and I'll unlock its powers and make sure it can battle at full strength again!"
"Jazen really did it, he found it!" Keiwan shook his head and went up to Jazen, looking at his son with proud eyes. "Jazen…" His son looked up at him as Ryuto stepped back a bit, doing it in time as Keiwan hugged his son. "You really did it, I am so proud of you." His son tightly hugged him back as he told his dad, "I told you I was going to find it, now I just need to keep the second promise." He let go of his dad and looked at the bey in his hand, "and that is to awaken this bey and become someone worthy of being by its side."

4 YEARS LATER
"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, THE ROUTE TO BATTLE BLADERS HEATS UP EVEN MORE! THIS IS YOURS TRULY BLADER DJ ANNOUNCING THE NEXT TOURNAMENT CHALLENGE MATCH, WITH 6 FINALISTS ALREADY DECIDED, ONE MORE SLOT IS OPEN WITH TIME RUNNING DOWN FOR THE BATTLE ROYALE BETWEEN THE FOLLOWING BLADERS!" A man on a tv screen in a large city yelled as people looked up to the screens above, with someone looking at the screens while on a building, watching the screen with his arm crossed as the screen showed six different people.
"THESE SIX WARRIORS HAVE BATTLED HARD TO OBTAIN THEIR SPOTS IN THIS BATTLE! WE HAVE YU AND FLAME LIBRA, THE WINNER OF THE SURVIVAL BATTLE, WHO GOT HIS SPOT FROM WINNING HIS SIDE OF THE TOURNAMENT. THEN WE HAVE HYOMA AND HIS ROCK ARIES, WHO WENT THROUGH HIS SIDE OF THE GAUNTLET WITH EASE." The footage showed two boys, one younger one with spiky orange hair and green eyes as well as a light violet haired boy with bright blue eyes standing with their beys spinning proudly.
"NEXT, WE HAVE TSUBASA AND EARTH EAGLE, WHO DEFEATED BENKEI AND HIS DARK BULL IN A WILD MATCH!" The screen then switched into new footage with a boy with silver hair and a bey diving. "EAGLE, METAL WING SMASH!" The bey smashed into the bey on the ground and knocked it completely out of the arena, with the boy with the bull hat having steam coming out of his nose as Tsubasa had a smug smile.
"THE NEXT COMPETITOR IS KYOYA AND HIS ROCK LEONE, WHO ENDED HIKARU AND HER STORM AQUARIO IN AN AMAZING FINISH!" The footage showed tornados going against some sort of wave as the moves clashed and the wave of different beys got snuffed out, the tornado destroying all of them as the bey got sent into the wall past the girl with blue hair as the boy with green hair smirked in triumph.
"WE HAVE KENTA AND FLAME SAGITTARIO, OVERCOMING A MASSIVE SETBACK TO BEAT THE TWINS DAN AND REIKI AND THEIR EVIL GEMIOS." The tv switched to a battle in which a flaming bey clashed with a spiral of ice and fire and eventually came out on top, the boy using the twin's bickering to his advantage and finding a way out of losing the match.
"AND FINALLY, WE HAVE GINGKA AND STORM PEGASUS, NEARLY LOSING BUT COMING BACK TO BEAT RYUTARO AND HIS THERMAL PISCES, HIS DETERMINATION KNOWING NO BOUNDS!" The footage showed a boy with flaming hair and a bey that rushed around the stadium and created a large vacuum that seemed to stop the effect of what Pisces was doing to it.
"WE HAVE SIX AMAZING BLADERS, AND WE JUST NEED ONE LAST ONE TO DECIDE THE BATTLE ROYALE! WHO WILL BE THE LAST BLADER, FIND OUT AT THE NEXT TOURNAMENT IN THIS LOCATION TOMORROW! BE THERE AND BE READY!"
The person on the building saw the location and looked down at the stadium that was being prepared for the next battles between bladers.
"Battle Bladers… A fitting name for an occasion. The best bladers in Japan huh, I wonder if you'd compete if you were here Ryuto, you always want to face off against the best, I guess you rubbed off on me more than you thought." The person thought of his friend who had gone to South America along with his father to search for Inca ruins that had recently been found in the Andes. The person had his bey in his hand as his spirit burst out, a blue and black aura surrounding him and getting him even more excited. "Those 6, they seem like amazing opponents, and the people they beat weren't pushovers either, that was true competition between rivals." He looked at his bey Hydra and smiled, the bey agreeing in his hand as aura erupted from it as well. "Yes, I know you agree, the people around some cities we've been to haven't been up to par, but these guys look strong. Maybe we can see just what they are made of." A spirit began shimmering in front of the boy, his figure now revealing himself to have blue and black hair, golden eyes, a sleeveless white top that divided into four sections at the bottom, white fingerless gloves, black pants that had a scale-like design at the bottoms of both legs and black shoes, and a black and white belt where his bey gear was held. The boy also had two tattoos on each shoulder, the constellation Hydra shining in light blue on both of his shoulders as the dark blue Hydra now showed itself, roaring at the boy who smiled back.
"Yeah, we got this. We already have 47,000 points. Let's just go out there and have some fun. It's time to show Japan just how strong we really are." The spirit Hydra agreed and roared again before shimmering out of existence, the boy just grinning at the stadium below. "Yeah, let them prepare, because Jazen Shinkai and Hydra are coming, and I don't plan on leaving without seeing just how strong we are." Jazen walked to the edge of the building and looked down, his golden eyes shining as he grinned, eyeing the prize.

"Man, I can't wait to see who the 7th opponent is gonna be! First Kyoya, Tsubasa, Yu, Kenta, and Hyoma and now this new person. I just can't wait!" A boy with dark red spiky hair, light brown eyes, a blue headband with the mythological creature known as the Pegasus on it, a long white scarf around his neck, a short blue short-sleeved jacket, a plain orange shirt, white and blue fingerless gloves, a red and a brown belt around his waist, which has a pouch for his Beyblade, black pants, and red and navy blue colored shoes. He was walking to the stadium with a group of people, including a girl with a touchscreen tablet, with maroon hair that goes down to her face, but extends to her shoulders in the back of her head, wearing goggles on top of her head. She had bright blue eyes and wore a sleeveless pink jacket with yellow buttons over a white shirt with a blue "B" on it that had a brown belt around it with gold buttons and a pink and gold pouch. On her hands she wore brown fingerless leather gloves. She also wore a short dark blue skirt with long white socks that reached up to her thigh with a pink trim and pink boots with golden buttons. "Gingka, calm down. For all we know, you could just be facing someone not on you nor anyone else's level in the upcoming battle or someone far beyond you all. Just stay focused."
"Oh come on Madoka, this tournament there are rules in place so that people who have lost in previous selection matches for the battle royal can't take part, we get to see new people battling!" The young boy had bright green hair with brown eyes. He wore a yellow T-shirt with a straight blue stripe running across his chest and arms in the first two seasons, and he also wore a pair of blue shorts.
"Dang it, if I didn't lose to Tsubasa, I would've for sure have won this tournament. I want to battle too!" He had a big build with a large stomach, and had short purple hair, but it was covered by his white beanie hat that had a red bull's skull on it. His eyes are reddish brown, and wore a red and black jacket with red stripes on both the front side with white bands around his wrists, gray shorts on his legs, and black shoes on his huge feet. He also had a brown belt with a holster covered by his jacket in which he kept his Bey Gear.
"Benkei don't feel bad, if it makes you feel any better I don't think I'm as strong as the others in the battle." "Thanks Kenta, but it really doesn't help." Benkei looked dispirited as the group tried to cheer up the big guy while they walked into the stadium before Benkei left the three, saying he needed to go find Kyoya.
"Tsubasa, what do you think of the 7th opponent? I thought Doji said he was gonna make it 6." A boy with spiky orange hair, green eyes, a white jacket paired white shorts that stop at his knees with sky blue sleeve ends and lapels with brown buttons and lime green markings said to the other person in the room, a tall boy with long silver-grey hair which is tied into a low ponytail by using a clip with bangs that hangs over his eyes. He also wore a sleeveless brown shirt with a lavender trim around the shoulders that showed part of his midriff, and had on a pair of white loose-fitting trousers with a pair of brown boots and a pair of brown fingerless gloves which went up to his wrists. "Whatever Doji says does not matter to me, just remember our job Yu." The two boys looked outside of the room into the stadium below where a large group of bladers were sitting.
"Hn…" A teen with green hair, wearing a green coat with ripped-off sleeves on a tatty, as well as a torn black shirt that ends above his belly button. He also wore a brown belt, brown fingerless gloves, brown boots and beige pants. He looked at the stadium below with contempt before Benkei walked in. "KYOYA BUDDY!" Kyoya glared at Benkei before looking back down at the stadium with crossed arms. "You focused on the upcoming tournament Kyoya pal?" He grunted and said, "More like I'm focused on who I'm gonna crush before I get to Gingka. I don't care who wins this battle, as long as they don't get in my way." He smirked and looked at his friend, "After all, whoever wins this is probably gonna be a nobody, considering the strong people have already competed in tournaments and are left out of this one."
"ALRIGHT LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, THE SHIZUME CITY TOURNAMENT IS ABOUT TO BEGIN! WE HAVE 24 BLADERS ALL LINED UP READY TO BATTLE, AND THE FINAL 3 FROM EACH BRACKET COMPETE IN A WINNER-TAKE-ALL MATCH TO EARN A SPOT IN THE TOURNAMENT WITH THOSE SIX AMAZING BLADERS ALREADY QUALIFIED, AND THE WINNER OF THAT BATTLE ROYAL WILL RECEIVE 10,000 POINTS!" The announcer, known as Blader DJ, pointed up to the screen where the number 10,000 was hoisted onto the screen with emphatic flair as nearly everyone in the stadium gasped at how many points were on the line.
"10,000 points… I have to win now… I need to show these losers what for…" Most of them thought to themselves as three people found themselves not speaking before a roar of laughter was heard from the near middle of the crowd.
"AHAHAHAHA, DON"T WORRY LITTLE KIDDIES, YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THE BATTLE ROYAL, CAUSE NONE OF YOU ARE GETTING PAST ME IN THIS TOURNAMENT." A bellowing voice, filled with arrogance leveled the field as all eyes found a guy with a large, stocky build, bushy eyebrows over yellow eyes and a round nose. On his head, he wore a pale brown fleece coonskin cap, under which he had short brown hair with sideburns extending down his face. He also had on a short gamboge jacket, with a purple designed 'D', and simply olive green pants that went into fur-cuffed boots, and around his waist was a brown belt with a circular silver buckle that has a second smaller circle, to which his launcher was attached to.
"Hey look Tsubasa, it's that guy you beat back then when you first joined! What's his name again?" Yu asked innocently as Tsubasa sighed before saying, "From what I remember, his name was Kumasuke Kumade, the eldest of the three brothers Kumade. I remember his bey was Rock Orso D125B. Either way, he's not a challenge for us. I beat him and his brothers with little trouble." Tsubasa shook his head as another person spoke up, "Hey pal, I don't know who you are, but you're not getting into that Battle Royal, I AM!" A blader with red/amber eyes and blond/brown hair that spikes above his head and drapes behind it spoke in defiance of the larger teen as Kenta's eyes lit up . He was wearing a white sleeveless jacket and red/blue pants. He also had on brown fingerless gloves as part of his Blader Gear and had a gold belt which holds his Bey, Beylauncher, Grip, and Beypointer. "Hey, it's Sora!" Kenta said with happiness, recognizing the friend that he made in a recent challenge.
"Sora? The one guy that tried to copy my Starblast attack?" Gingka asked with confusion as Kenta giggled, "Yeah, he called himself your number one apprentice. It was really funny, but he has his own special move now, I want to see if he has it under control!" Kenta looked back at the stadium to see Sora and Kumasuke standing off, lightning going in between them as the people in the crown backed up slightly, one person being the only one to stay in place during the friction as Kyoya's eyes caught onto him and narrowed as Benkei saw the change in his best friend's mannerisms. "Kyoya pal, you okay?" Benkei looked toward where Kyoya was looking and saw him looking at what he thought was the staring contest. "Wow, those two are going at it, WHY DID I LOSE? BULL BULL BULLLLLL!" Benkei shouted as Kyoya ignored him, instead focusing on the person who his lion-like eyes caught before grunting. "Benkei, if you wanted to be in it so bad, you should've beaten Tsubasa."
"OKAY BLADERS, LET'S GET STARTED!" The crowd cheered as three stadiums rose from the ground as brackets were formed, 8 bladers in each bracket as Sora and Kumasuke found themselves in separate brackets. "I'll see you in the finals, little guy." "Oh you bet it, and I'm gonna clinch a spot and battle my master." Both bladers once again glared before walking to their groups with everyone else in the bracket. "Wow, these two do not like each other. Looks like we're gonna get a weakling in the Battle Royal Tsubasa." Tsubasa however didn't look as pleased as Yu did, as there was something he didn't like about bracket 3, specifically one person he swore he had seen before, the person who didn't back down from that prior confrontation. "I don't know Yu, there's something with this tournament, I feel like we're missing something." Yu hummed with a curious tone and laughed, "Nope, I feel nothing!"
"I want to see what Sora is made of now, he looks like he's trained hard!" Kenta said as Gingka eyed Bracket 1, "that guy that was arguing with him, he's a part of the Dark Nebula, so he's with Tsubasa, Yu, and Ryuga." Gingka's eyes narrowed at the thought of the last name before he shook his head. "He doesn't look as strong as them though, but a lot more arrogant. Let's see what he's made of."
"Personally, I just want to get this tournament over with." A voice said next to them as the trio turned and saw a boy with pale skin, bright blue eyes and shaggy, light violet hair. He had on a pink v-neck with an orange collar under his blue/green jacket with blue straps that were unzipped, as well as brown fingerless gloves, and brown pants that were tugged into hiking boots. "Hyoma!" The three yelled as the boy seemingly appeared out of nowhere.
"You have to stop doing that Hyoma, you always appear at the most surprising times!" Madoka yelled before Hyoma shrugged and apologized. "Personally, I don't care who gets in or not, this is just one step towards our rematch, Gingka." Hyoma eyed his childhood friend with a sly smile, as he had wanted their rematch for a while now. "To do that Hyoma, you're gonna have to get through everyone else in the Battle Royal, including Kyoya, and last time I heard Kyoya beat you in the Survival Battle." Gingka teased his friend who grunted, "What happened in the Survival Battle won't happen again. I'll beat you, Kyoya, Yu, and anyone who gets in my way. Even you Kenta." The boy eyed the two bladers before a cheer was heard from the crowd around them, the battles getting ready to start as Sora and Kumasuke were starting in their own brackets. "YOU CAN DO IT SORA!" Kenta shouted as his friend looked in his direction and raised an arm before seeing Gingka and nearly choking up before composing himself.

"LET IT RIP!" Every blader in the stadium shouted as Kumasuke yelled, "Orso, finish this battle! Rip your opponent apart!" A spirit formed as a yellow bear appeared before smacking the opponent's bey out of the stadium as his battle finished.
"Wow, he's strong. Alright then, CYBER!" Sora's bey, Cyber Pegasus 100HF responded and rushed towards its opposition and knocked it out in one blow, sending it into the wall of the stadium.
"Wow, he's gotten so much stronger!" Kenta said with stars in his eyes as Cyber spun around the stadium with flair as Sora pumped his fist before looking at Kumasuke with a grin. "You're not half bad, little guy." "Same to you, I guess the finals are gonna be tough for a change." The tournament continued with those two dominating their brackets.
"KUMADE' WINS IN ONE HIT AGAIN, CAN HE BE STOPPED?!" "SORA TAKES IT TO TOWN ON HIS OPPONENT, NOT LETTING UP!"
"Looks like it's gonna be one of them in the finals, I really hope Sora wins." Kenta said as the tournament continued on, with Sora and Kumasuke still clearing their brackets before the finals were announced.
"ALRIGHT EVERYONE, WE HAVE WINNERS FROM EACH OF THE THREE BRACKETS. IN BRACKET 1, WE HAVE KUMASUKE DEMOLISHING HIS COMPETITION!" Kumasuke flexed to the crowd and roared. "IN BRACKET 2, WE HAVE SORA, CLEARING THE COMPETITION WITH GRACE AND POWER!" Sora pumped his fist in the air with a wide smile on his face as he was one step closer to battling his friend and his master, and all he needed was to beat Kumasuke and the winner of Bracket 3.
"AND FINALLY, THE WINNER FROM BRACKET 3!" Kenta's eyes widened as he didn't even remember there was a third bracket. "Shoot, I was so focused on Sora that I forgot there was a third bracket!"
"You and me both Kenta, I didn't even think to look over there." Gingka said with a nervous laugh as Hyoma shook his head but thought, "Even I didn't look over there. Maybe it's just some no name."
"A SILENT DESTROYER, WHILE WE WERE SO FOCUSED ON THE OTHER TWO BRACKETS, HE CAME IN AND SWEPT THE COMPETITION. THE WINNER OF BRACKET THREE AND THE FINAL MEMBER OF THE THREE-WAY BATTLE TO DECIDE THE SEVENTH MEMBER FOR THE BATTLE ROYAL, JAZEN!" The podium began to rise from the floor, a person coming out of the ground as Jazen stood still with his eyes closed, Kyoya's and Tsubasa's eyes narrowing while Madoka's widened. "Jazen… Do I know this guy?" Gingka, Kenta and Hyoma looked at the girl before she pulled out her laptop and began to search.
"Swept the competition aye, it doesn't matter to me. You're still going down!" Kumasuke announced with an arrogant laugh as Jazen opened one eye and looked towards Kumasuke before shutting them again.
"Hey man, let's have a good match, just know I'm gonna win!" Sora said much more enthusiastically as he walked up to shake Jazen's hand, who opened his eyes and looked down at the hand before responding with a firm grip. "Yeah, let's have a good match, though I hope you prepare yourself for a loss." He said in good fair play as well as a competitive flair before Kumasuke came up and tried to look down on both of them. "You little babies won't hold a candle to me." He held out his bey, "My Rock Orso will crush you both into the ground." Sora then held out his bey, "Don't try it! Me and Cyber are going to flatten you!" Jazen then decided to join, telling himself, "We've been a ghost this whole time, Hydra. Let's show them what they're up against."
"You're both wrong…" Both bladers looked at him as he closed his eyes and brought out his bey, with the two widening their eyes at how intense the bey looked as the crowd saw his bey for the first time. "Deep Sea Hydra and I…" He began to emit a dark blue aura as Gingka's, Hyoma's, Tsubasa's and Kyoya's eyes narrowed even further. "This guy, he's dangerous." They all thought as Yu, Benkei and Kenta wowed and while Madoka was trying to analyze him and his bey.
"Are the ones who will walk away with total victory." He said with a grin as his bey shined before Madoka gasped. "Guys, look here!" Gingka, Kenta and Hyoma all looked at her computer screen and saw the footage, smoke surrounding the arena before one bey was shown spinning and another bey fell from the sky, with the blader on the opposing side cowering in fear as Jazen appeared on the footage, silent before showing his pointer.
"47,000 POINTS?!" They all said as Gingka looked at his pointer. "He has the same amount of points as me…"
"Woahhhh, this guy has 47,000 points Tsubasa!" Tsubasa and Yu looked at the TV they had in their room and saw how the guy was all ready for Battle Bladers. "How did he go underneath our noses, doesn't the Dark Nebula have other information on him?" Yu cupped his chin and laughed nervously, "Nope, at least I know nothing!"
"ALRIGHT LADIES AND GENTS, LET'S GIVE THE WINNERS A ROUND OF APPLAUSE AS THEY GET READY FOR THE BATTLE!" Jazen, Kumasuke, and Sora all got to opposite sides of the stadium as Sora and Kumasuke prepared their launchers before Jazen threw his launcher in the air before catching it and getting ready."A string launcher, very interesting." Hyoma noted as the three prepared their beys, Jazen snapping something in his bey into place as Kyoya raised his eyebrow at this.
"May the best man win, and I hope for a good battle." Jazen noted politely as Sora smiled, "Of course man, may the best man win! And that's gonna be me!" Kumasuke then piped up, "You're joking pal, that man is going to be ME!"
"WELL, HERE WE GO!" Blader DJ shouted as the countdown began, everyone looking at the stadium while the Battle Royal participants focused in on Jazen, Kyoya in particular eyeing the bey.

"LET IT RIPPPPPP!" All three shouted as the bey's met in a three-way clash in the middle, a large explosion happening as Sora and Kumasuke got pushed back. "What the?!" Their two beys fell back into the stadium and circled around. "WHAT A RECOVERY, JAZEN NEARLY ENDED THE BATTLE AT THE START, BUT THESE TWO BLADERS AVOIDED THE FATE OF SO MANY OTHER BLADERS! WHAT A START TO THIS BLISTERING MATCH!" Blader DJ shouted as Sora and Kumasuke both looked at Jazen, who simply smiled back.
"He nearly ended it with one attack off the start, what the?" Gingka said as the smoke cleared and all three beys began to zoom around the stadium, Cyber and Orso met in the middle before Hydra came and attacked both.
"Alright, time to analyze Deep Sea Hydra." Madoka went to work, seeing just how the bey operated. "Deep Sea Hydra V145AS. Its Around Sharp performance tip resembles Wide Ball defense and a sharp performance tip, providing a mix of both defense and stamina. Its fusion wheel is a Variable 145, but there's something weird…" Madoka said as she zoomed in on the spin track as it showed multiple forms and gasped. "Can it be, this bey can change modes based on the version its spin track is in!" "What?!" "That's not all, there's something about the energy ring and fusion wheel that's bugging me, but I can't seem to grasp it." She thought back to when he snapped something into place and knew that Jazen had switched the mode of the bey as all three boys grew shocked as they stared at the bey circling the stadium.
"Alright Orso, CRUSH THEIR PUNY BEYS!" "Cyber, counterattack, don't let this guy overpower you!" Orso and Cyber clashed as Hydra rushed towards them, "Hydra, split them apart." Jazen said calmly as it smashed into the two beys clashing, sending them to either side of the stadium before Jazen then said, "Alright, now rush towards Cyber!" Hydra chased after Cyber, who was slowly losing ground as Hydra smashed into it and pushed it into Orso. "Hey, watch where you're going PAL!" "Damn it, CYBER, SPEED UP!" Cyber got away from Hydra quickly, before Sora then yelled, "NOW CYBER, GO FOR ORSO!"
"OH NO YOU DON'T, ORSO SHOW THAT BEY HOW MUCH POWER YOU HAVE!" Orso and Cyber met in the middle as their beys glowed, Orso with a yellow aura and Cyber with a red as Sora glowed red. "NOW CYBER, USE ORSO AND BOOST YOURSELF, GET EVEN FASTER!" Orso launched Cyber further into the stadium, with Cyber having a red line showing its path as Kumasuke's eyes widened while Jazen looked impressed. "Aw yeah, GO SORA!" Kenta shouted as Sora's aura kept going, Jazen giving him an impressed`` as Sora then shouted, "CYBER, BLAZE TOWARDS HYDRA! SPECIAL MOVE, O.V. DRIVE!" Cyber started emitting red electricity as it dived towards Hydra as Kenta cheered emphatically for his friend. "HE MASTERED A SPECIAL MOVE, GO SORA!"
"SORA LOOKS TO END THIS JAZEN EARLY! COULD THIS BE IT FOR THE MYSTERIOUS BLADER?!"
"ORSO, DON'T LET THIS GUY SHOW YOU UP AND GO ATTACK HYDRA! SPECIAL MOVE! BEAR CLAW SMASH!" Kumasuke glowed yellow as a large yellow bear avatar came into view, with Orso going towards Hydra and Cyber diving towards Hydra.
"NOW KUMASUKE HAS DECIDED TO ATTACK JAZEN. TWO SPECIAL MOVES ON BOTH SIDES, WILL THAT BE IT FOR HYDRA?!"
"Is it for me and Hydra?" Jazen softly laughed to himself while looking down, before the two special moves hit Hydra and a large explosion burst from the stadium as wind shock-waves emanated from the collision point.
"Not a Chance…"
"BOOM BABY!" Sora shouted as Kumasuke roared before the smoke cleared and everyone's jaws dropped, as the scene in front of them was too shocking before Blader DJ shouted, "ABSURD, HYDRA WITHSTOOD BOTH SPECIAL MOVES WITHOUT EVEN BUDGING, CYBER AND ORSO AND SMASHING INTO IT FROM BOTH SIDES AND IT DOESN'T EVEN SHOW SIGNS OF SLOWING DOWN!"
Orso and Cyber continued to glow and grind into Hydra, as it didn't budge and continued to spin freely. "COME ON CYBER, DON'T LET IT STOP YOU! KEEP GOING!" "ORSO, WHAT ARE YOU DOING? SMASH IT TO PIECES!"
"He changed the bey's mode, I see now." Kyoya chuckled as Benkei looked down at the bey confused. "Change its mode, what the?"
"I get it now, before the battle started, Jazen changed his bey into its full defense mode, he changed the fusion wheel to give it max defense!" Madoka shouted as there was something else bugging her about the bey.
"That was a good attack from you both, but I know you have more in there." Jazen complimented the both of them, but pointed specifically at Sora, "That wasn't it, I know you have something else, a trump card."
"Do I try it? O.V. Drive wasn't enough this time, and the last time I used this move, it knocked Cyber out." Sora debated in his mind before smiling and yelling, "CYBER GET AWAY FROM THERE!" Cyber split off from the collision as it knocked Orso off Hydra as well before Sora glowed red again, his eyes burning red. "You wanted to see all of my spirit, well you got it man, JUST DON'T SAY I DIDN'T WARN YOU!" Kenta looked at his friend and gasped, remembering the move. "COME ON SORA, I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT!"
"DON'T COUNT ME OUT TOO KIDDIES, I'M STILL IN THIS BATTLE TOO!" Kumasuke yelled out as Orso glowed yellow while Jazen smiled and began emanating a dark blue and black aura as the 6 Battle Royal competitors stood up from their spots watching what was going on below as Jazen began pouring out more of his spirit before looking up, his right eye having a dark blue light shining. "This guy…"
"SPECIAL MOVE!" Sora and Kumasuke announced as the crowd grew silent before Kumasuke started.
"BEAR CLAW SMASH!" Kumasuke yelled as a yellow bear rushed towards the middle of the stadium.
"AVALANCHE CRUSH!" Sora screamed as a cross-like light appeared as Cyber rushed towards the other beys.
"Hydra, let's show them all. Special Move…"
"TYPHOON SMASHER!"
Water and a dark-blue light surrounded the bey as above the Stadium, a reptilian avatar formed as the crowd watched a dark blue Hydra form before the three beys met in the middle of the stadium and a dark blue light emerged from the middle, dark blue lightning also emanating as the Hydra tore the Bear apart and sent it to the other side of the stadium as Orso got thrown into the stadium wall right by Kumasuke's head before an explosion happened as blue and red clashed.
"ORSO IS OUT OF THE ARENA! KUMASUKE IS DOWN AND OUT, WHAT ABOUT JAZEN AND SORA?!" The smoke cleared as Sora and Jazen both stared at each other with blazing auras, one dark blue and the other red as one bey fell from the sky, Cyber falling by Sora's side, with the smoke in the middle clearing and showing Hydra, spinning freely in the middle. "CYBER IS DOWN AND OUT, WHICH MEANS THE WINNERS ARE JAZEN AND DEEP! SEA! HYDRAAAAAAA!"
Hydra rushed towards the edge of the stadium and flew straight into Jazen's hand as it spun in his hand for a few seconds before stopping, the smoke from stopping its fast spinning appearing in Jazen's hand as the crowd cheered for that amazing spectacle before Kumasuke fell backwards and passed out, thinking about how his bey flew right past him and how he got beat so easily while Sora looked disappointed.
"That guy Jazen, he's strong." Hyoma noted, as Kenta looked sad for his friend. "Aw man, Sora…" Gingka looked excited at the challenge of battling Jazen while also feeling a bit sad he couldn't battle Sora.
"Yu, contact Doji immediately." Tsubasa said as he wanted Doji to note down this blader who had just put himself on the map. "That guys strong, I can't wait to see what he's actually made of in the battle royal." Yu snickered as both looked outside the glass.
"That move, he completely overpowered both of their special moves." Kyoya whispered to himself as his eyes saw everything, as when the beys clashed he saw it was Hydra that punted Orso out of the stadium and sent Cyber into the sky after the exchange of moves.
"Aw man, I can't believe I lost." Sora said as he picked up Cyber before he thought of how he perfected his first move and grew excited. "I actually got it down, I didn't mess up this time!"
"That's because you synced up with Cyber." Sora heard a voice and turned around to see Jazen standing there with a smile. "That was a great battle, you easily put up the best fight I've ever had in Japan so far." Jazen put his hand out as Sora shook it. "Thanks for the compliment man, but what do you mean I synced up with Cyber?"
"When I say that, I mean that when you called that move it, Cyber was reacting to your spirit and gained more control. You think I wouldn't know, I saw that same move from when you did the obstacle course with Kenta Yumiya. When your spirit grew, so did its control of the special move." Jazen said in praise of Sora, as his eyes lit up.
"Wow man, I didn't know that moment was that famous. I really wanted in that Battle Royal though man, I wanted to battle my master, but you were way too strong."
"Your master? You mean Gingka Hagane right?" Jazen asked with curious eyes as Sora nodded enthusiastically before Jazen put his hand up and saw Blader DJ coming up. "We'll talk later man, meet me at the Triple Beef Burger in the city. What can I say, it's a good place." Jazen chuckled as Sora laughed and shook his hand once again, each showing good fair play before Sora walked off as Blader DJ came up with a mic in hand, "Jazen, you've been a ghost during the entire selection process. But you have gotten 47,000 points, can you explain how you went under the radar for so long and what you plan to do in the battle royal?" Kyoya's eyes widened as Benkei yelled, "WHATTTT? 47,000 POINTS?! HE HAS AS MUCH AS GINGKA!"
"For me being a ghost, well I don't know myself, as I was simply battling. But as for the battle royal, that's easy." He glowed dark blue and his eyes shone as he smiled lightly, speaking to the 6 people already in.
"I'm going to win."

Sora walked down the city block as the sun was setting, looking at the Triple Beef Burger and seeing Jazen sitting on the roof of it, looking at the sun before turning and jumping down. "Hey man!" Sora ran up to him as Jazen stuck his hand out as both shook hands. "He reminds me a lot of Ryuto…" Jazen thought to himself as he smiled. "Well, I do think it's time we finished what we were talking about."
"Yeah, Gingka is my idol. His battling style and his passion about blading, they all speak to me." Sora said with stars in his eyes as Jazen sweat dropped. "Well, I really enjoyed our battle today, man." Sora said with a smile as Jazen also nodded with a smile. "Agreed, it was a lot of fun battling with you and that Kumade brother." "Yeah, I wonder what happened to that guy, He was being so dang arrogant." "He's probably crying somewhere about how Orso got sent into the wall." Jazen and Sora began to laugh at the thought of Kumasuke bawling his eyes out, as he was the first one to lose. "By the way, I've never seen something like that before, your bey I mean." Jazen nodded and said, "Yeah, my bey is Deep Sea Hydra V145AS. You know what's crazy, Hydra still has a lot left to show." Jazen brought his bey out and showed it to Sora, who wowed at how it looked. "It looks intense, and then you crushed me in battle. First by tanking O.V. Drive, then overpowering Avalanche Crush. You're really strong, man." "Thanks Sora, I appreciate it, however I'm not focused on how good I am right now, I just want to keep moving forward. And that's what you should focus on." Sora brought out Cyber as Jazen shoved Hydra forward, so Sora did the same. "Beys, they continue to evolve, and grow stronger with our resolve, so never lose that passion for beys. Keep it, and your bey will respond to you. Right now, Cyber has only just begun to respond to you, and it's the same for me and Hydra, we get stronger, so our beys get stronger as well." Both beys gleamed in the sunlight as the boy looked at each other, "so what do you say we do then?" Sora asked as Jazen simply shrugged.
"Simple, you can get way stronger, and you don't seem like the type of guy to travel alone. I've also been alone for a while, and you can see all the time just how stronger people get when around each other." Sora's eyes widened at what Jazen was proposing while Jazen grinned at the prospect of having someone around, someone that could improve along with him as Sora put his arm around his neck in a sort of bro hug. "Of course man, now let's get some burgers! I'm starving!" Jazen chuckled and said, "You said it, I'm starving! But before that." Jazen grabbed Hydra and raised it as high as he could, "Let me tell you something Sora, I plan on winning the Battle Royal." He turned around as he glowed a blue aura, the sun surrounding him as his eyes glowed, "And I plan on getting stronger and stronger, so try your hardest to get into Battle Bladers too. If you're gonna travel with me, you always are gonna have to reach for the top." Sora nodded, excited at the prospect before both went inside to get some burgers as Jazen squeezed Hydra tight, and in return the bey began shimmering black as he smirked. He would awaken this bey, no matter how much work it took.
