The campers and Counselors began to get tired. They spent most of the day trying to find Leo, but they had no luck so far. "Counselor Balan? I'm getting hungry..." Yinu whined "So am I..." Luke complained. The other campers began to follow their example, and told Balan they were getting hungry "Don't worry Children." Balan soothed, looking for a place to eat. He saw that down the road was a pizza restaurant. "How does pizza for dinner sound everyone?" He asked.
The Children screamed and cheered at the sound of pizza, and Sundrop lead the group inside. The tired cashier's sleepy eyes looked at the group, and let out a single "Whoa..." Sundrop and Balan stepped forwards "We'll take your best pizzas, to feed our humble camp!" Sundrop said. The cashier gave a slow nod and turned to the kitchen "Uh...Like, 17 X-tra larges?" He asked. The cooks quickly got to work, and gave the Counselors their pizza first...but all it took was one bite from Saltbaker for him to yell out "THIS IS A DISGRACE!!"
Meanwhile, Somewhere near the Building...
Leo and Mason ran to Shakin Pizzaz, ready to sink their teeth into their favorite pizza for dinner. "Ready to get the ultimate pizza?" Mason asked. Leo nodded "You bet! Time to tackle the challenge once more!" He cheered. The two of them could practically smell the dough a few miles away. "Wow! They must he working overtime, It smells so GOOD!" Mason shouted. Leo grinned at his friend's enthusiasm, but there was a strange sight up ahead: All of the familiar workers, seemed to have been thrown out. "Did we just get kicked out of our own job?" A cashier asked. A chef smiled at him "Who cares! Let's go have some fun!" She said. The staff let out a cheer before running to a large monster truck and rolling off.
The two of them blinked "Was...Was that the staff?" Mason asked, as Leo slowly nodded. "If that's the staff, then who's cooking Pizza?" He asked, spotting smoke that indicated that someone was cooking. Leo Ran ahead to the window, and to his horror, he saw the entire camp sitting instead, and Chef Saltbaker was the one making the pizza. Leo started to move from the window before anyone saw him. "Uh, Maybe we should try somewhere else..." He said, grabbing Mason's arm. Mason wriggled out of Leo's grip and stared at him
"OK That's it dude. What's going on?" He asked, his tone dead serious. Leo looked at him "What are you talking about?" He asked. Mason rolled his eyes "Don't play dumb with me Leo, You've been acting strange all day. First you "trip" over my boombox, then you dragged me out of the arcade before I cemented our names in Alien Blast, then the going into random stores in the mall, and now you don't even want to go into our favorite pizza place!" Mason shouted. Leo looked down. He had been so focused on trying to avoid getting caught, that he didn't realize he was dragging Mason into it.
Mason looked at his friend's saddened face, and gave his shoulder a gentle squeeze "Leo? C'mon, please just tell me, What is going on?" He asked. Leo looked him directly in the eye. However both of their stomachs growled "OK, how about this, I get us some pizza to go, and then we'll go back to your place, and you tell me what's going on." Mason suggested. Leo nodded as he went in.
The dinging of the bell above the door caught Lance's attention. A boy that looked to be Leo's age began to walk up to the counter. "Um...Excuse me?" He asked, making Saltbaker turn around to face him. "Why hello there!" He said cheerfully to the boy. "Um...I was wondering if I could get an extra large pizza with everything on it?" Mason asked, slightly unnerved by the change in staff.
Chef Saltbaker grinned at him "Why of course!" He said. He whistled to his utensils and they quickly got go work. They mixed the dough, chopped up the toppings, and preheated the oven while the chef himself got to work spinning the dough.Mason decided to go and wait outside with Leo, since there was nowhere else to sit. However, just as he reached the door, a strangely clawed hand clasped onto his shoulder.
"Hello there, you don't mind if I ask you something do you?"
