Disclaimer: I don't own Victorious, it belongs to Dan Schneider and while we're at it, I also don't own Tom and Jerry, it belongs to Cartoon Network and Hanna-Barbera.

WHOO! I know it's been a while since I updated for this saga but honestly? I haven't had the motivation for a while, as a result I decided to re-read some of my favorite Jori fics as well as watch some episodes from the series to get my mojo back and you'll be glad to know that now I have plenty of ideas for Parenthood, now I just gotta find the time to write them, heh.

That being said, I see no better day to start posting again for this fic than on my birthday, heh.

So, enjoy because this chapter will have the sort of nostalgic feeling that we all undoubtedly have gone though at some point while watching some of our favorite childhood cartoons.

It was a lazy Saturday afternoon, well at least for Jade West it was, her wife Tori unfortunately couldn't get the day off as she was at the studio, filming her new movie, which ironically is a horror flick which she forbade Jade from seeing the "behind the scenes" angle.

Tori knew Jade would somehow find a way to be able to "convince" or more accurately scare any studio to let her direct any horror flick, but seeing as Tori didn't want to have nightmares for the following years… Plus, she knew how passionate and demanding Jade could be, as a result she made her spouse promise she wouldn't get near the studio unless she was more than willing to sleep on the couch for a month.

"Keeping me from seeing the magic of terror is one thing Vega." Jade thought, annoyed. "But threatening me to keep your body at arm's length is just plain evil! Who the hell taught her to be so devious?"

The former Goth was randomly looking for any movie on Netflix that would make her forget the jealousy she felt towards Tori and her role in a scary movie which no doubt was going to be full of blood and gore.

"Only Tori would get the role for a scary movie while thinking she was auditioning for a musical..." Jade snapped "How messed up us that?!"

The Scissoring.

IT.

The Others.

Carrie.

The Exorcist.

Deciding that she wasn't going to watch anything on her Netflix account since her favorite list ironically only served as a painful reminder of her wife's good luck, Jade aggravated, turned off the TV.

At that moment, her eleven-year-old entered the living room with Foxy nearby.

"Hi mom." Tony greeted. "Are you done watching TV?"

"Yeah."

"Mind if I can watch it for a little while?"

"Be my guest." Jade shrugged. "I'm going out for a walk."

"Mama made me promise to call her the moment you set foot out of the house."

"Seriously?!" She snapped. "That woman has thought of everything!"

"But… I could say I took a nap and who knows what you could do during that time." Tony said mischievously. "I mean if I'm sleeping then I can't make any calls, now can I?"

"You got my cunning." Jade said proudly. "That's for sure… But seeing as your Mama has also gotten sneaky, I don't know what back-up plan she has, and I rather not sleep in the couch and a away from her."

"You and Mama like sleeping a lot mom."

"Yeah… Sleep… Sure… We love to do that."

Tony didn't pay much attention to his mom's weirdness and instead he turned on the TV, logged onto the YouTube App and typed "Tom and Jerry."

"Come on Foxy!" The boy said happily. "Let watch our favorite Cat and Mouse!"

The silver fox didn't care much for his master's enjoyment of the flat screen but he did enjoy getting cozy on the couch and slowly close his eyes as his master rubbed his back affectionately.

Jade was almost out of the living room until she heard a very familiar music and a lion roar's afterwards, she slowly turned around to the screen, watching two very familiar cartoon characters who were trying to hurt each other.

Tom had trapped Jerry in a rope and was driving a miniature toy train, ready to run him over, but a canary was ready to save his mousy friend.

"Hey I remember this."

"You do mom?"

"Yeah." She nodded "It's one of the few cartoons I watched when I was your age."

"Wow… I didn't know Tom and Jerry were very old."

"I'll pretend I didn't hear that." Jade said ominously. "If I remember correctly, the bowling ball is going to make a big ass hole on the floor and Tom is going to go down who knows how many floors and get every bone in his body broken."

True to his mom's words, Tony saw as Jerry began to pray as he watched the train Tom was sitting on accelerating then at the nick of time the brown mouse is saved from certain doom.

Jade chuckled afterwards.

"Ah this brings back memories."

"How so mom?"

"Well Tony, when I was a little girl, your grandpa and I used to sit down and watch Tom and Jerry together, it was one of the few things we enjoyed doing, you might not believe it, but your grandpa is a fan of these old cartoons."

"My grandpa… Your dad… The Lawyer… Liked watching cartoons?" Tony asked slowly, making sure he heard right. "I hear it but I don't believe it, I mean grandpa is so serious and no offense mom but you don't look like you like anything fun."

"Hey! I take offense to that!" She said. "I'm plenty of fun!"

"Scaring people doesn't count."

"You're on tin ice mister!" The former Goth warned. "Horror movies are plenty of fun to watch, seeing people wiz their plans never get old!"

"Uh huh. Tony replied uncertainly well I wanna see something less gruesome and violent."

"Then you're watching the wrong thing." Jade teased. "Tom and Jerry have plenty of violence, its one of the reasons why I'm fond of these cartoons."

"So, does that mean yow anna watch Tom and Jerry with me mom?"

"Sure, why not?"

"Great! I'll get the popcorn!"

Jade paused the video, staring at the frozen screen of the cat and mouse, the former Goth closed her eyes, thinking of the time when she and her dad were actually on better terms.

"Come on Jerry!" Eight-year-old Jade clapped at the TV screen. "Don't let that mean cat win!"

"Now Jade, you wouldn't want to miss what happens next now do you?" Mr. West teased.

"Nu- huh!"

"Then sit down and enjoy the show." Her dad said, patting the spot next to him, so his daughter wouldn't sit so close to the TV.

Jade obeyed but not once did she keep her eyes away from the antics of her favorite cartoon.

After a while, Jade began to yawn.

"Ok sleepy-head, time for bed."

The man held his daughter in his arms as he walked her to her room.

Once inside, Mr. West tucked Jade in her bed.

"Mom?"

Jade opened her eyes, shaking her head.

"Where did you go?"

"Just… Going down to memory lane." Jade replied. "This cartoon actually brings out some memories from my childhood.

"Good memories I hope?"

"Yes."

Tony sat down next to his mother, putting the bowl of popcorn on the table.

Mother and son watched several episodes of Tom and Jerry, always laughing during the day until Tori returned home.

"Hey you two." The Latina greeted. "What are you watching."

"Tom and Jerry." They replied at the same time.

Tori stared at the screen, making a face once she saw Tom trying to escape from hell.

"These cartoons are too violent." Tori said. "Why don't you two watch something else?"

"Because Vega." Jade grunted. "Cartoons these days suck."

"No, they don't!"

"They kinda do mama." Tony agreed. "Oh look! Is that a shark?"

"Yup."

"What's it doing in a fishbowl with a goldfish?"

"Well Tony when two fishes love each other."

"JADE!"

Told you guys this would feel nostalgic, I based this chapter on the fact that growing up I used to watch Tom and Jerry with my dad and I'm sure I'm not the only one who has done that, after all we all hold a cartoon from our childhood in the best possible light, in this case, it hold some old positive memories she shares with her dad and is making new ones with her son, plus guess I should mention that ome of the scenes are actually from old T&J episodes.

All in all, what did you guys thought of this chapter? Constructive Criticism is welcomed as always.
