Author Notes: Happy Mother's Day, though I can only say this won't be a fully pleasant holiday for Jade and Tori but still a memorable one, you're all about to find out why as this took quite the twist and turns.

"We are so dead." Tawny said. "No correction, we a deader than dead! When Mom and Mama find out what we did, we're not going to see daylight till we're old and wrinkly!"

"Which is why I came up with a plan to avoid getting grounded!" Danielle shot back. "Now would just please do me a favor and relax!"

"RELAX!" Her sister bellowed "I can't relax! Nor can I yield, relent or calm down! I never been grounded before!"

"There's always a first time for everything."

"YOU'RE NOT HELPING!"

"I'm trying to!" Danielle shot back. "Now shut up and listen! We both know that either Mom or Mama will be getting a call from the school later today, all we gotta do is take their phones and pretend to be them and they'll be none the wiser."

"That's a stupid plan! Tawny said. "The Principal won't fall for it!"

"Oh, wanna bet?" Danielle smirks before clearing her throat. "This is Jade West talking, who the hell is this?"

Her twin's jaw dropped at hearing a near perfect imitation of their Mom's voice "How are you…?"

"… Able to do that?" Danielle finished the question while still using Jade's voice. "I been getting voice training lessons from Mom, I told her I was interested in cartoons, so she's been teaching me about stuff that's going to get me into Hollywood Arts next year, scriptwriting, voice acting and so on, I want to make my own cartoons someday so, I decided that it's never too early for that, so aside from drawing I wanted to expand my talents and one afternoon after training my vocal cords into making funny voices, I tried to do a scary one and boom! What you hear is the end result!"

"Figures you would find a way to use your talents for evil."

"Are you complaining?"

"Not this time!" Tawny said. "I seen what you go through when you're grounded! I don't want to be without my phone for a month!"

"That's the easy part." Danielle shrugs. "It's the crazy chores mom gets creative with that makes getting grounded something we want to avoid."

"Which is why, I'm willing to look the other way."

"Good to know." Danielle said, now talking normally "Here's the thing though, I can only do Mom's voice, Mama's a little harder to pull off because she's a bit melodramatic like someone I know."

Tawny was not amused by the jab being directed at not only her but their Mama as well. "Good thing she wasn't here to hear that."

"And she never will if everything goes according to plan." Danielle said evenly. "So I came up with a backup plan in case the school calls her first."

"Which is?"

"Aunt Trina's coming later today for a brief visit, right?"

"Oh, I don't like where this is going."

"Just trust me sis." Danielle replied. "Everything's going to be fine."

"Famous last words."

"Tony, Mijo come on, work with me here!" Tori begged as she sat in front of her one year old son's highchair. She tried once again to put a spoonful of bits of broccoli she had cut into the child's mouth, but Tony quickly turned his head.

"You have to eat, Mijo," She said. "Come on, it's good for you! Don't you want to grow up to be big and strong?"

All she got in response was tongue raspberry from her child.

"I really hate that Jade taught you that," Tori mutters, rolling her eyes. "Look, Mijo… All I'm asking from you is a few more pieces. Then you can have real food. But you have to eat the broccoli first!"

Tony kept his mouth shut.

"Tony , I am your Mama!" Tori said, trying to sound commanding. "And I am ordering you to eat the broccoli!"

Instead of the desired effect, the baby began to clap, laughing joyfully almost as if he knew his Mama was anything but scary.

"I know you're not aware of what's going on Mijo but that felt as if you're mocking me," Tori sighed. "Alright, plan B…tricking you into eating this. Now I know all the parenting books say you should never trick your kids because it 'ruins the foundation for a trusting, loving relationship', so this will be my own little secret, no one else will find out and I know you're not going to tell anyone…. So… Here goes nothing."

The Latina put a sock puppet in each hand and got under the table so her son could enjoy the show.

"Ooooh what is this?" Tori asked using what she believed to be a mainly voice for one of the puppets. "Broccoli that's yucky!"

Almost as if Tony understood, he agreed by nodding, making cooing noises and trying to get the bowl of broccoli away from him, that is, had a second sock puppet not entered the picture, this one had a bow and lipstick to make the impression that it was a girl.

"Well I think broccoli is yummy!" Tori said with a high pitch tone. "In fact, it's my favorite food!"

"Really?" She voiced the other puppet. "Then I'll guess I'll give it a try!"

The male sock puppet began to "eat" some broccoli, all the while Tony watched the show curiously, looking at the vegetable with wonderment.

"Yum! She was right!" Tori said "This is delicious!"

Tony grabbed a piece of broccoli with his hand and began to chew, all the while Tori saw this from bellow the table. "Yes!" She cheered "One spoonful down! Now to just-"

The baby cut her off, though, as he spit the broccoli right back onto his Mama's face, making disgusted noises afterwards.

"Now I remember why I hate broccoli…" Tori said, her face dripping with green goo. "Should've seen that coming." She stood up and grabbed a towel from the sink to clean herself up.

"Yeah, you should have."

The Latina turned around, surprised to see her wife standing by the kitchen's door "Jade! Baby, how long have you been there?"

"Since you made the little puppet show." She snickered. "Gotta say, broccoli in your face? Not the best thing I seen you in Vega."

"Sure beats Coffee on my hair."

"You just had to bring in ancient history didn't you?" Jade asked, she then pressed a button on her phone, it was only then that Tori realized her wife had recorded the whole thing.

"Did you really had to tape the whole fiasco?" The Latina asked as she used a napkin to clean her face. "This wasn't my best performance."

"What can I say, I love puppet shows." Jade teased, setting her phone down on the kitchen table.

"Since when?" Tori asked incredulously. "You always said they're the stupidest thing on the planet."

"They're only stupid when people outside my family do them." Jade pointed out. "I still recall the first time the girls did one for us when they were little, remember that?"

"That was the first time they pulled a show for us." Tori said fondly. "It was so cute."

"It was also the moment that showed they inherited our creativity to make it in showbiz."

"Well, there are our daughters after all."

"Talent is in their blood." Jade agreed. "Which reminds me, that very untalented parasite you call a sister is in our living room."

"JADE!" Tori admonished. "Didn't you promise that you would try to be nicer to Trina?"

"I am being nicer to her." She said. "I let her in didn't I?"

"Is she still breathing?"

"Are you asking me if I killed her?"

"More like asking if you put her in a coma because I don't hear anything coming from our living room."

"I put celebrities underwater to keep her from talking." Jade said. "Your sister has a lower attention span than our son."

"And speaking of him, he still needs to eat his vegetables."

Tony made a raspberry.

"I really hate that you taught him that" Tori admonished. "It's so rude!"

"I like to think it's charming." The Thespian teased. "But if you want him to eat some vegetables Vega, give him some avocado, he's crazy for that."

"And you're just telling me this now?!"

"I thought you knew." Jade shrugs. "I mean you feed Tony more times than I have… Come on think of it, I don't think I ever seen him miss a meal."

"That's because unlike some selfish people I knew, I'm making sure our children don't starve!" Tori snarled. "I'm not going to be like her if I have anything to say about it!"

"Be like who?" Jade asked confused. "Vega… What the chiz are you talking about?"

The Latina took a deep breath, looking at her son who was having the joy of his life as he made a mess of the broccoli plate.

"It's just… When I was growing up Holly always made meals for herself but never for Trina or me, we had to make our own food more often than not and trust me when I tell you that we were terrible at it and had our grandparents or dad not been around every now and then, my sister and I would've starved to death!"

"That's messed up!"

"What else is new?" Tori said with disgust. "Holly has always been a terrible mother and I refuse to follow in her footsteps, so I made myself a promise that our kids would never go hungry in our house."

"From what I seen, you really kept that promise." Jade said lovingly. "You're one hell of a mom, Vega."

"You're just saying that to make me feel better."

"Hardly, I'm saying that because it's the damn truth!"

"Watch you language!"

As the two women kept talking, they didn't notice that the twins were not so subtly "hiding" from them, more accurately, watching from the kitchen door directly at the table, where both their parents phones were resting.

"So close and yet so far." Tawny said. "So… How are we going to do this?"

"Watch and learn." Her sister said smugly. "I am the girl with the plan after all, just stay out of sight and be ready to grab the phones when I send them your way and go to the living room like we discussed."

"I have a bad feeling about this."

"Hey mom! Hey mama!" Danielle greeted with a wide smile. "What's up?"

"Oh, hi Mija."

"Nothing much." Jade shrugs. "Just trying to get your brother to eat some vegetables."

"And how is that going?"

"Your mama still has some broccoli on her face." The thespian snickered. "Make a guess."

"Darn it!" Tori growled as she washed herself, this time using a towel to remove whatever was left of the green goo. "I thought I got it all off!"

"Are you going to give him some avocado now?" Jade teased. "Unless you want to continue playing the puking game."

"Oh ha ha." The Latina said "That was so funny I forgot to laugh."

"That's the best you can do Vega?" Jade taunted. "Really? Where did that smart mouth of your went?"

"You should know, you kiss it every day."

"Ah, there it is!" The Thespian smirked. "Making a much needed comeback!"

"I haven't made a full comeback just yet." Tori teased. "I mean someone hasn't kissed me today."

"Then allow me to fix that."

The twins cringed at the sight of their parents making out, it was something no teenager wanted to see, nevertheless it was an opportunity that they took advantage of.

Danielle quickly grabbed both phones as quickly as she could without getting the attention of her parents, she "discretely" threw them into her sister's waiting hands, it only took a few seconds, which of course almost made Tawny throw them being caught off guard seeing them fly her wait, hopefully that wasn't the case.

Tawny sighs in relief before going towards the living room, soon after her sister followed.

All the while Tony kept clapping.

"Phew!" Danielle said. "That was easy!"

"Only because mom and mama were smooching!" Tawny replied. "Otherwise who knows if your so called plan would've worked! Hey… What were you going to do to distract them anyway?"

"I was going to give Tony some ice cream." She shrugs. "You know how he can be after a bit of sugar."

"Don't remind me." Tawny said. "We endured Tony going through a sugar rush when we have to babysit him… It's not fun."

"Ain't that the truth."

"So, we got the phones, now what?"

"Now… We wait."

They didn't had to wait long as their Mama's phone went off.

Ring… Ring… Ring.

The ID revealed that it was from the school.

"Shoot!" Tawny said. "Now what do we do?! You can't do Mama's voice!"

"Which is why, we're going with the next best thing!"

"Which is?"

Meanwhile in the living room, Trina was watching celebrities underwater, she of course was into it, as laughter could be heard all over the house.

"Boy that was funny, can't believe Kim Kardashian has a funny side, guess she isn't completely washed up if she can do underwater tricks."

"Aunt Trina!" The twins made their way towards the couch. "We need a favor!"

"Can't it wait?" She asked. "I'm in the middle of watching a show."

"Uh, aunt Trina?" Tawny said uncertainty. "That woman in the pool? She's not moving."

"Huh… Guess I have time now." Trina said turning off the TV. "What's up?"

The phone kept ringing.

"Look we need you to pretend to be Mama." Danielle said. "We got in trouble and we need you to bail us out!"

"What did you girls do?"

"No time to explain!" Tawny whined. "Please do us a solid aunt Trina."

"Ok fine, but this is the last time." She said before grabbing the phone. "Hello? Yes, this is Tori West, who is this? A hello Principal Skinner, what can I do for you? Tawny and Danielle? What did you mean? What did they do? They did WHAT?! Oh I will have a word with them, they're outside in the car at the moment … I mean in the streets… I mean. No sorry, they died, don't call again."

She hanged up.

The twins eyes widened in horror as their faces turned pale white.

"Sorry, I panicked."

Before they could say anything, Jade's phone began to ring.

"Fortunately I think we can salvage this." Danielle said before clearing her throat and answered the call. "Hello this is Jade West, who is this?"

Trina was astonished by her niece's voice acting skills to say the least as her jaw dropped, trying to make sense of the situation and if she was actually hearing properly.

"Ah, Principal Skinner." Danielle greeted using her mom's voice. "To what do an owe the misfortune of your call?"

The man on the other side of the phone began to yell out, this was nothing new for the teen, neither hearing what she already knew.

"Um hum… Um hum… Um hum." She kept repeating disinterested. "Is that all because I have other things to….. Eehhhhhhhaaaahhhhh!"

Jade entered the living room with a goofy smile on her face, it seems she was still on cloud nine from the kissing session with her wife, unfortunately her good mood came to screeching halt when she noticed her eldest daughter using her phone.

"What are you doing with my phone Dani?" She asked suspiciously "Who are you talking to?"

"No one!" The teen replied back, unfortunately while still using her mom's voice, this little blunder made both sisters cringe, because now they knew that shit was about to hit the fan.

The thespian narrowed her eyes, how she knew something was up, so she sharply made the hand gesture that she wanted her phone… NOW.

The twins and even Trina gulped, this was not about to end well, despite her fears, Danielle didn't have much of a choice and handed her mom the phone.

Jade then pointed towards the couch, silently ordering her to sit down, the moment she put the phone on her ear, she was being bombarded with the screams of a very angry principal.

"Who the hell is this?!" Jade snarled. "You better have a good reasons to… WHAT?! They did that?! When was this?! And I'm just finding out now! Yes… I'll have a word with them… NO! You're not sending over the bill, you have insurance don't you?! Well guess what buddy, that's your problem!"

The principal shot back.

"WOAH! You kiss your mother with that mouth?!" She asked. "How about you don't sue and I won't tell anyone the colorful language you just used… That's what I thought."

Without another word she hanged up before giving her daughter's the evil eye.

"WELL?!" Jade bellowed. "What do you two have to say for yourselves?!"

"Uh… Happy Mothers Day?" The twins said simultaneously with an uncertain smile on their faces.

"Hey that's right! Today is Mother's Day!" Trina said dramatically. "I better go home and spend it with my boys!"

She then ran as fast as her high heels would allow out of the West household, leaving behind her nieces who were in for a lot of trouble.

"Hey I'm hearing the screaming all the way to the kitchen! Tori said as she entered the living room, holding Tony in her arms. "What's going on?"

"I just got a call from the school Principal." Jade replied evenly. "It seems Tawny and Danielle destroyed a car."

"Say what now?" The Latina asked perplexed. "You're kidding right?"

"Hardly."

"Wow, Déjà vu."

The twins blinked at that.

"What do you mean Mama?" Tawny asked. "We never… Well I never done that before."

"Great support there sis." Danielle said sarcastically. "Really goes to show how much faith you have in me."

"I know you guys didn't but we…"

"Ah! Ah! Ah!" Jade interrupted loudly. "Don't say a word, Vega! This is not the time nor the place for you to open your big mouth."

"Hey you like my big mouth!"

"When it's not being used against me!"

"What are you two talking about anyway?" Tawny asked.

"NOTHING!" Jade yells out "And don't change the subject! You want to explain why I had to get a call from your Principal? And on a Sunday no less!"

"Because Principal Skinner has no life!" Danielle replied back. "And he's out to get me ever since the first day of school! He hates me!"

"Is that why you destroyed his car?"

"We didn't know it was his car." Tawny said uneasily. "It was an accident!"

"Define, accident." Tori said with a raise eyebrow. "This is really going on familiar grounds."

"See we were trying to get money to buy a Mother's Day gift for you guys and we got the idea to get a car and charge money so people could destroy it, unfortunately our costumers started to destroy the wrong car and by the time we realized that it was too little too late and long story short, Principal Skinner was furious and took our money to pay for damages."

"And where, pray tell did you get an idea like that?" Jade asked, having an inkling that she wasn't going to like the answer.

"From you Mom."

"Crap!"

"There's an old video of you and Mama smashing a car online and we thought that we could've done that to get money." Danielle said. "In retrospect we probably should've made sure it was the right car before we began with the destruction."

"Just so we know." Tawny said worriedly. "In how much trouble are we?"

"You're not in trouble." Tori said. "This time, it sounds like it was an honest mistake and it would be hypocritical if we punished you for something we also did when we were your age."

"At least they didn't have to carry an annoying man in a wheelbarrow." Jade added with annoyance. "OK girls, look I'm not happy about this and to be honest, I wasn't expecting the past to come back and bite me but you did try to do a nice gesture for us, which is more than I can say for when we pulled the same stunt… Which reminds me, there's still the issue of you pretending to be me young lady!"

Danielle gulped.

"Sorry we couldn't get you a present thought." Tawny said. "We tried."

"That's ok sweetheart." Tori replied. "There's always next year."

The moment was soon over when they heard a crunch, everyone turned around to see Tony munching on some cookies, he innocently stared back, stretching our his little arms as if to say "you want some?"

"Where did he get that from?" Jade asked.

"Heck if I know." Tori shrugged. "He's a little Houdini… Yes you are! Yes you are!"

The Latina began to do some baby talk which of course made her son laugh happily, Danielle took the chance to make a quick getaway.

"DANIELLE WEST! GET BACK HERE RIGHT NOW!"

As Jade went after their eldest child all Tori could do was shake her head and look at her son.

"You know Tony, the older kids get, the more they get into crazy shenanigans." She said. "Do us a favor and don't grow up so fast.

The little baby belched.

"That was…. Lovely." Tori said, making a face. "Thanks for that."

Later that night Jade and Tori were in their room right after their children have gone to bed, getting ready to hit the hay themselves.

The Latina was waiting for her wife to give her some much needed cuddling but after a few minutes of silence she new something was wrong, her hunch was proven correct when she turned around, seeing Jade with her arms crossed and looking into the distance with a mixture of anger and sadness.

"Jade… Baby… Are you ok?"

"I'm fine Vega."

"Right and I'm the Queen of England." Tori said sarcastically. "Jade, don't make me tickle it out of you."

"You wouldn't!"

"Uh oh… Looks like my fingers are get closer to your belly!"

"Ok fine, I'll tell you what's wrong!" The Thespian yells out, hastily getting her wife's hands away from her stomach. "This is what I get for sharing my vulnerability with you, ugh."

Tori snickered.

"It's just… I'm wondering if I'll ever be a positive influence on the girls."

This caught Tori off guard. "Baby… What are you talking about, you're a good influence on our kids."

Jade snorted.

"No, I'm serious!"

"Ok, name one positive thing I ever done that worked out for them." Jade challenged. "We always had to tell them all the terrible shit I did when I was a teenager, the destruction of property, stealing your blood, wrecking your prome, almost killing you twice, once because I pushed you out of a building and when I planned to bury you alive and oh let's not forget the time I enjoyed your sadness way more times than I can count."

"Those are good things."

"In what universe are those good things Vega?!"

"You can't be old and wise without beings young and stupid first, Jade." Tori explained. "You made… Mistakes… Plenty of mistakes but you also more than made up for them, not to mention that you're teaching our kids what not to do so they can be better, that's what's parenting is all about, making sure that they're on the right path in life."

"Did you just call me old?"

"I was making a point and you know it!" Tori snapped. "Don't deny it!"

Jade said nothing to that.

"Baby… Don't ever question whether or not you're a good mom, you are!" Tori exclaimed. "You discipline our children but you also make sure that they're growing up happy."

"I just want them to have what I didn't." The thespian muttered. "A good childhood."

"And you're succeeding." Tori said lovingly. "When I see you with our children, I don't see the old you, the scary, vindictive witch, I see a woman with plenty of love to give."

"That's corny, Vega."

"Doesn't make it any less true."

"Be that as it may be, I'm pretty sure I didn't raise them alone." Jade teased. "I had a little help after all."

"A little help?"

"Fine, plenty of help."

"That's better." Tori grinned. "So, you ok now baby?"

"Yeah… I am."

"Good."

"Hey, Vega?"

"Umm?"

"I don't remember if I told you this but Happy Mother's Day."

"Happy Mother's Day to you too Jade." Tori replied back. "I love you."

"And I love our kids." The Thespian said. "Otherwise we wouldn't be able to celebrate this holiday, oh and I guess I love you too."

"You better."

Tori turned off the lights, there was one last thing in their minds before sleep overtook them.

"Motherhood… I wouldn't change it for the world."

Phew! This was longer than I originally planned but I think this ended up better than I expected, mostly because I wanted to explore some uncertainties Jade and Tori would have in parenthood but in the end would come to terms that while they're not perfect, they're still loving mothers to their children.

So, what do you guys think of this latest chapter?

Constructive criticism is always appreciated.
