Disclaimer: I don't own Victorious, Dan Schneider does, also Dracula and Van Helsing don't belong to me and although the characters won't appear here, they will still be mentioned for the purpose of the story.
Author Notes: Hey everybody, I can't believe that I reached 850 reviews in this fic! You guys are the best you know that right?
That being said, as a thank you, here's the latest chapter, so do enjoy it, truth be told this was partly inspired by a "behind the scenes" story of the film "Maleficent" I heard supposedly happened.
IMPORTANT: For the purpose of this chapter, the episode "Beck's Big Break" didn't happen and instead "Jade's Big Break" took place, yeah in this universe, Jade was the one who had a role in the film "Miss Fire" and Tori accidentally got her fired, you'll see why that matters soon enough, XD.
Jade was reading a horror novel as well as having a quick snack in her dressing room, this was a break from the chaotic time filming her latest film, adding in the fact that her costume is a real pain to get into and her co-star is a huge arrogant ass hat, this particular role had been her most demanding one yet.
The Thespian was so invested in her book that she didn't hear the door opening, someone had gotten into her dressing room, and all the while she kept reading, turning the page before taking a bite out of her chips.
The intruder was smiling, trying to hold in his giggling, all the while tiptoeing closer and closer to the actress.
Jade was lost in the dark fictional world created by Stephen King, which ironically was a lot more soothing than everyday life where she had to go and talk to people who more often than not, managed to get under her skin.
"GRANDMA!"
"AHHH!"
Jade screamed surprised, unintentionally throwing her book out the window, the shock was short lived however as she soon realized she had a little set of arms around her waist.
"Matt! How many times have I told you not to do that?!" She admonished. "My heart can't handle those jump scares as much as it used to!"
"But you do a bunch of scary stuff grandma!" He countered. "You're cool like that."
"Well… You're not wrong about that." Jade agreed with a chuckle, finally returning the hug. "How did you get in here anyway? Where are your parents?"
"Daddy's working." Matt answered "And last time I saw mommy she was running."
"Running to get you I'm guessing?"
As soon as Jade asked that, her suspicions were confirmed as both her adult daughter and a security guard entered her dressing room.
"Matt!" Tawny panted tiredly. "I told you to stay by my side at all times! How do you keep disappearing from my sight?!"
"I… Want… To... Know… That… As… Well." The security guard said between breaths. "Sorry Miss West but your grandson keeps managing to get past security."
"I keep telling you not to apologize, Brad." Jade said with an eye roll. "My grandson is a little Houdini and he's always going to find his way here, trust me on that… I do want to know however how you keep doing that."
"Not telling!" Matt smiled mischievously at his grandma. "If I do then my secret entrance won't be a secret anymore."
"Well, I can't argue with that logic." Jade smirked, caressing the young boy's hair. "But you can whisper it in my ear you know, I promise I won't tell."
"Pinky swear?"
"Pinky swear." She agreed as they intertwined their fingers, Jade then lowered to her grandson's level so he could tell her how he keep getting in the studio without anyone knowing, her eyes widened before smirking. "Well aren't you a little sneak?"
Matt just smiled innocently.
"Well?" Tawny asked. "Aren't you going to tell us?"
"Umm…" Jade rubs her chin pretended to think about it. "Nope… I don't think I will … Didn't you see us make a pinky promise, you don't break those."
"MOM!" Tawny yelled exasperatedly. "Don't encourage this behavior!"
"Oh don't worry; he's not getting in by any dangerous means." The thespian replied airily. "Just in a very creative way, Matt is quite clever for his age."
"This does not make me feel any better." Tawny snapped. "If he grows up to be like you, he'll use that cleverness for evil!"
"So I could be like grandma?" Matt asked excitedly. "Cool!"
"NO! Not cool!" Tawny yelled out exasperatedly "Especially if you end up doing some of the same things she pulled when she was younger… So tell me this Mom, what do you have to say for yourself?"
"Hey, I can't help it if my grandson looks up to me."
"Grandma… I'm hungry."
"Well then, lucky for you, I have some chips with me." Jade told him. "Want some?"
"YEAH!"
"MOM!"
"What?" She asked innocently. "He's hungry, what kind of a grandmother would I be if I didn't give him something to eat?"
"You two are impossible." Tawny said exasperatedly. "Why weren't you this mellow when I was a kid?"
"Because when you 're a grandparent you tend to be a lot less strict and a lot more fun." Jade said in a matter of fact tone. "You don't have all the responsibilities of a parent but you still got to protect your grandkids and send them towards the right path, you'll understand that someday."
Someone knocked the door.
"Jade, we're ready for you."
"Shit!" She swore under her breath, she failed to realize that because of the unexpected visit from her family, she had lost track of time. "Uhh… Give me ten minutes Tim! I'm having some trouble getting into my costume!"
"You got it, but I think you should still hurry." Tim said. "You know how Melinda is since she doesn't like waiting."
"Well Melinda can kiss my as… Butt." Jade corrected herself before her grandson heard her saying what her wife called "sailor language". "She's not the director; you are, so she can suck it for all I care!"
"Well said." Tim agreed. "But that's something she just doesn't get… I keep asking myself ever since production started how bad our luck had to be for us to be stuck with such an unpleasant person?"
"I blame Friday the 13th." Jade replied darkly. "She just had to audition for the role on the unluckiest day of the year and get the part; and to add insult to injury she found a way to ruin my favorite holiday."
"We all hate Melinda Murray for one reason or another." Tim said. "But there's nothing we can do about it, so we can only deal with her the best we can."
"That is, if someone doesn't end up killing her first." The Thespian snapped. "And seeing how many of us don't like her, it would be a victimless crime."
"As much fun as is it to fantasize about Melinda's death, I think its best it stays like that… A daydream." Tim says. "Now before I go, do you need anything?"
"I'm going to have to do something I know I'm going to regret." Jade said with great annoyance. "Get Cat to do my make up."
After a not so quick phone call, Cat very happily agreed to do Jade's "monster make-up", not long after the Thespian terminated the call, the former redhead was outside her dressing room, ready to get started.
Jade looked at the security guard. "Brad, there's a thousand bucks in it for you if you can distract Murray long enough for me to get my make-up and costume ready.
"How long?"
"Try and get me forty minutes." She requested. "And don't worry about your job, if the witch demands for you to get fired, remind her that I'm your boss, not her."
"Consider it done Mrs. West."
"For the last time Brad." The Thespian said. "Call me Jade! Mrs. West was my mother."
The security guard nodded before leaving the dressing room while Jade gazed at her daughter and grandson. "As for you two, there's some snacks Tony made for the cast and crew, get something to eat while I get ready."
"No thanks mom but we got to get going." Tawny declined gently. "I promised that I would help with Danielle's baby shower and I still have a lot to do."
"Aww, but I want to stay mommy!" Matt said with a puppy dog eyes. "I want to see grandma act all scary and stuff!"
"Well seeing as you're a little road runner, I can't leave you unsupervised." Tawny said firmly. "So, sorry sweetie but you're coming with me."
"But it's so boring waiting while you look for stuff for Aunt Danielle."
"You know what?" Jade said. "I'll watch him."
"Mom, no offense but, are you crazy?" Tawny asked. "How are you going to do that if you got to work?"
"I'm great at multitasking." Jade replied. "Or do I have to remind you of all the little mischiefs you and your sister pulled when you were little?"
"Sure, bring back ancient history." She muttered. "Fine but don't say I didn't warn you." Tawny then lowered to her son's level. "Ok Matt, listen to grandma and please don't get into places you're not supposed to."
"Ok mommy!" He said. "I'll be a good boy!"
"Be sure to show grandma that." Tawny said before giving him a hug and a kiss on the cheek, after that, she went out the door.
"Ok Matt, I have to start getting ready." Jade said. "Are there any ghosts that you can talk to while I do that?"
"Nope." Her grandson replied. "But I do have a coloring book!"
"You do?" She asked. "Where is it?"
Matt walked over to one of his grandma's drawers and from within it, he got a coloring book and some crayons, much too Jade's surprise.
"So you have things hidden in my dressing room now?" She asked. "I don't know whether I should be impressed or a little worried."
Matt snickered.
After an emergency make-up session with Cat (with Jade deeply regretted since she was extremely chatty) the Thespian was finally ready.
"You look terrifying!" Cat cheered. "I did a good job, don't you think?"
Jade opened her eyes and to her surprise, her friend was right, she looked absolutely dead to say the least, Cat managed to put enough make up to make her skin look paler than usual, which was quite a feast, she was also using a pair of contacts that made her eyes appear not only lifeless but also a murderous blood red rather than her usual calm blue-green eyes, her teeth now had a pair of realistic looking fake fangs which seemed to be extra-long and extra sharp, almost terrifyingly so, Cat had also made sure that Jade's black nails would "fit" with her black fingerless gloves, she was also wearing a black and red long-sleeved hooded robe.
"Yeah… I guess you did." Jade said, no matter how many times the redhead did her make-up, she was always amazed by the outcome with how well she accomplished her task given her past history with make-ups.
"Hey Matty!" Cat said enthusiastically. "Don't you think your Grandma Jade looks scary?"
The young boy looked up from his coloring book, staring into what his grandma had become, he got up from his place on the floor and walked over to the two women, now any young child would be calling for his mommy or cry in fear at the sight of what in their young minds could be a bloodsucking creature but Matt wasn't like any other child and instead he simply asked Jade to lift him up, something she gently did.
Matt simply began playing with his grandma's robe, not at all bothered by her sudden vampiristic appearance, if anything he asked to look at her fangs a lot closer, something Jade was all too happy to comply.
"So you want a closer look at my fangs?" She asked mischievously. "Is that right?"
Matt nodded eagerly.
"Well then, be careful with what you wish for." Jade said in a mock evil tone, she then began to playfully make biting noises near his neck. "I want to suck your blood! Yum! Yum! Yum!"
Her grandson began to laugh happily. "My blood is not tasty, grandma!"
"Then why can't I have enough of it?" Jade teased. "Yum! Yum! Yum!"
Flash.
Jade stopped what she was doing, glaring at the former redhead who was innocently smiling back.
"Cat…" The Thespian said ominously. "What did you just do?"
"Nothing." Cat said mischievously. "Aside from taking a picture perfect moment… Nothing… Nope, nothing at all."
Ping.
Jade put her grandson down on the floor much to his disappointment, the actress looked at phone and much to her chagrin she saw the photo of her playing with Matt on the Family What's Slap.
Tori.
Aww, big scary Jade West looks totally adorable right now.
Danielle.
Yup, I agree.
Tawny.
My baby boy can really get Mom's soft side to come out.
Tony.
That's not the scariest vampire I ever seen.
More and more comments kept coming from everyone she knew, her wife and kids to Andre and Carly and even Robbie had the spine to tease her, Jade was about ready to kill Cat had there not been a knock at the door and the same security guard entered, but unlike his previous pristine appearance his uniform was now full of coffee and food stains, however this was not because he was eating on the job, far from it as the "additions" to his clothes were courtesy of Melinda Murray who grew annoyed with him and decided to tell him to leave in the meanest way possible.
"Sorry to disturb you miss… Jade." Brad said. "But I did all I could and I got attacked in the process by your nightmarish co-star, she demands you to be on the set now."
"You did good Brad." Jade said while setting her grandson to the floor. "I'm ready to go and as promise I'll give you the money and as an added bonus you can take the rest of the day off."
"Really?" The young man asked perplexed. "You sure?"
"Considering you spent nearly an hour with that super witch, you earned it." Jade said, getting the money from her purse. "Don't worry about it; there are other guards on duty."
"You are the best boss I ever had Miss… Jade."
"You know I don't tolerate as... butt kissing." The Thespian said sharply. "But if you must thank someone, thank my wife for making sure I'm not a gank to my employees."
With that the security guard left and Jade turned to look at her grandson. "Now remember, you can watch but you got to keep quiet while we shoot."
"Ok, grandma."
Once on set everyone was ready to go, no one except Melinda was frustrated that Jade "took her time", if anything they were grateful for it as it gave them the opportunity to do last minute checkups on equipment, lightning and so on, something the stuck up actress didn't see as "important" and even insulted some of the workers calling them "ugly second rate grunts.".
To say that she wasn't well liked by anyone around was an understanding, that being said, several of the extras even went as far as to mock her behind her back.
"Well look who it is." Melinda sneered. "About time you showed up."
"Oh I'm sorry." Jade mocked. "Do you have somewhere else to be? Like with your loving family? Oh that's right, your seventh husband filed for divorce and your kids never visit you because you're such an unpleasant woman, silly me."
The entire cast and crew stopped what they were doing; gaping at the comeback the former Goth had delivered to the older actress whose face had turned red from anger.
"How did I not record this?" Freddie Benson said ironically. "There's not enough ice in the world for that burn."
"HOW DARE YOU?!" Melinda bellowed madly. "I WANT HER FIRED!"
"For what?" Jade challenged "For telling the truth? Sorry your ego couldn't take it."
Before Melinda could say anything else the director got between the two actresses. "Enough! We got a lot of filming to do and so little time!" Tim said. "Now Miss Murray, we are not going to fire Jade, she has been nothing but professional during the shooting of the movie, not to mention she is the reason as to why the project got the green light in the first place, now places people!"
The director walked away, Melinda all the while kept glaring at the thespian as she went to her seat.
"She is a mean lady, grandma." Matt said. "I don't like her."
"We all don't buddy." Jade agreed. "She's horrible."
"Jadelyn Dracula." Melinda hissed hatefully. "Your end has come."
"Well look what the cat dragged in." Jade taunted. "I thought you were dead, Abigail, not like me, but you know the type where you drop dead and doesn't get up."
"I will never rest till I destroy you!" Melinda said overdramatically. "You can't get rid of me so easily Vampire scum!"
"Vampire scum?" Jade parroted with a mocking tone. "That's your best insult? Really? We been at each other's throats for how long now? And you can't call me anything else?"
"I can call you several names." Melinda said darkly. "But I won't tarnish the Van Helsing name by going down to your level."
"My level?" Jade asked frustrated. "You're the one trying to destroy my kind; I'm trying to keep my kin safe. "
"My family has been keeping mankind safe from monsters like you!" Melinda bellowed out. "I am Abigail Van Helsing, granddaughter of Abraham Van Helsing, the greatest monster hunter ever!"
"What you are is annoying." Jade said dryly. "And why do you keep doing this? Your dad, your grandpa, your great-great grandpa, my father defeated them all."
"Count Dracula yes." Melinda growled hatefully. "He killed my grandpa!"
"Because he tried to stab me." Jade said evenly. "He should've known better than to try and kill Dracula's daughter."
"He's a monster just like you are!" Melinda snarled. "He was attempting to get rid of a future threat on humanity! He may have failed but I sure won't."
"This is getting us nowhere." Jade sighed frustrated. "I heard of family traditions but this is just stupid, think about it, we have been doing this cat and mouse game for many of your human generations, we inherited this battle, at one point this has to stop and I say why not now? Let this rivalry end with us."
"I agree." Melinda said evilly. "Let this end with us!"
She jumped ready to throw a wooden steak towards Jade's heart to kill the Vampiress once and for all, what neither of them realize was that behind the scenes, Matt was watching the scene in a mixture of wonderment and horror and the moment he saw Melinda was about to strike his grandma, he sprang into action, grabbing the first thing he saw to use as a weapon which was a pie from the snack table.
"DON'T HURT MY GRANDMA!"
Both women stopped mid-scene watching as the little boy ran towards them, getting in front of Jade as if to protect her from the older woman. "Get away from my grandma!" Matt yells out, next thing anyone knew he threw the pie at Melinda's face.
"AGH!" She yelled out, losing her step and falling to the floor. "WHAT THE HELL?!"
Satisfied that he saved Jade from getting harm, he turned around to ask innocently. "You ok grandma?"
"I'm fine." Jade replied warmly. "Thanks to you."
Instead of being mad for interrupting the scene, Jade smiled lovingly at her grandson, how could she not when in his young mind he was trying to protect her, this was a sentiment shared by the rest of the cast and crew who (with the exception of Melinda) seemed to be amused by what just transpired, no one could hold in their delight as laughter filled the studio.
"CUT!" The director yelled, chuckling afterwards. "Ok people, as entertaining as this was let's not forget that we're on a deadline, so we'll take it from the top after Melinda finds her face."
Said actress glared at young child who instead of being kicked out for "disrespecting her "as she saw it, he instead was being praised for his quick thinking from everyone around them, Melinda wasn't about to take this humiliation taking down, so she got up and roughly grabbed Matt by his arm.
"YOU STUPID KID!" Melinda bellowed out angrily. "Do you realize what you just did?! HUH? DO YOU!"
Matt was left speechless, frozen in sheer terror at seeing the angry pie covered face of the madwoman who seemed ready to hurt him.
"It seems to me that no one taught you the meaning of the word respect." She hissed. "So allow me to be the first!" Melinda raised her hand ready to slap him into next week, had someone not interfered.
Tori grabbed Melinda's arm, pushing her towards the blue screen, holding her in as she groaned in pain, the Latina hissed in her ear. "You lay one hand on my grandson and it will be the last thing you'll ever do."
"Abuelita!"
"Vega!" Jade said, pleasantly surprised to see her spouse. "Where did you come from?"
"Do I need a reason to come and see my wife at work?"
"You wanted to tease me some more because of the pic, didn't you?"
"I won't deny nor confirm that." Tori replied. "What I want to know is why this witch was about to hit our grandson!"
"HE DISRESPECTED ME!"
"No, he was protecting me." Jade corrected. "You can't blame him for acting the way he did, he's just a little kid after all, you however are a grown ass woman and you should know better! But then again what can I expect from someone who has the mental maturity of an eight year old!"
"WHAT DID YOU SAY?!"
"Too subtle?" Jade mocked. "Fine, looks like I'll have to spell it out to you, you're an adult, act like it! You're the one that is supposed to be setting an example and what you almost did? Showed the type of person you are; an arrogant, surly and extremely unpleasant person and trust me, there are worse thing I could call you but I'm trying to be a good role model for my grandson, something you will never be to anyone!"
Tori finally let go of Melinda who started massaging her arm due to feeling like it was almost dislocated, she soon realize that the entire cast and crew was glaring at her, she suddenly felt very small during their intense stares.
"Miss Murray, this is the last straw." Tim said. "You're fired!"
"Wha… WHAT?!" She exploded. "You can't fire me!"
"I can and did." He said. "We all put up with you for the sake of the film but your attempt to harm Miss West's grandson is not only quite unforgivable but also counts as child abuse, consider your contract terminated and yourself blacklisted."
"And you can bet your ass we'll be seeing you in court for this." Jade growled.
"But… But…" She stuttered. "We already have like more than half the scenes of the movie done! You can't fire me now!"
It was very clear this was a last ditch attempt to keep her job. Which of course wasn't working, this has been her most recent role in years and desperately needed to pay off the massive debt she was in.
"We'll tell the executives what transpired here and ask for an extension on production." Tim said evenly. "Not to mention we got evidence of your transgression, no doubt someone here will leak what just happened, because let's face it, something like this won't be kept under wraps for long and in order to save production, no doubt that the studio will agree to re-cast you to prevent backlash from the public."
Melinda felt like she was just slapped in the face.
"Now vacate the premises before security has to escort you out."
The actress began to shake with rage, glaring at the child who in her mind ruined her career. "This is your entire fault!"
It seemed like she didn't learn her lesson as she was ready to attempt another slap at Matt who in his terror hid behind Jade's legs, however Melinda didn't get far as she was struck by Tori who gave her a sucker punch in the nose.
"I told you that if you got near my grandson again, it would be the last thing you would ever do!" The Latina hissed.
"GET HER OUT OF HERE!"
Two security guards grabbed Melinda by the arms, dragging her out the studio, all the while cursing everyone on the set as this was happening, Tim called his bosses.
"Not going to lie, this felt good." Tori said "It was almost cathartic."
"What do you mean Vega?"
"Don't you remember?" Tori questioned. "That witch got you fired from your first acting role way back in high school; it's almost poetic justice that this time she was the one who laid off."
Jade blinked several times trying to remember what her wife was talking about, her gears in her head moving quicker and quicker till she realized what Tori was referring to.
"You mean when I was cast a waitress in that movie Miss Fire?" She asked. "You remember that?"
"Of course I do!" Tori said. "It was your first acting job! I felt so bad that I got you fired from it that I tried to get you back in the film."
"And you succeeded." Jade said. "Loved the little present you gave her by the way, back then you got her an arrow through her hand and now you gave her a punch in the face, you're dangerous when you want to be Vega."
"Well no one hurts my loved ones if I have anything to say about it."
They shared a kiss afterwards.
"I love you Vega."
"Love you too Jade."
The tender scene was cut short by the director.
"Ok everyone bad news!" The Director said. "I talked to the higher ups and we got a problem, we only have two days to find a replacement for Melinda and if we don't, we're going to have to hire her back."
Everyone cast and crew alike complained.
"But why?" An extra asked. "After what she did?!"
"I know! I know!" Tim said exasperatedly. "But we can't do anything about, they're only willing to give us a little time to re-cast her and if we manage to get someone else to play her role then they'll give us the necessary amount of time to re-shoot the scenes and to finish the film and if that doesn't happen then we'll have to keep what went on under wraps till after we finish production."
No one liked the possible re-hiring of Melinda, let alone keeping her actions under the rug for the time being.
Matt then had an idea, he felt like light bulb just went off on his head.
"My abuelita Tori could do it!"
His grandparents were undoubtedly surprised to say the least by such a bold move on their grandson's part.
"Well maybe…" Tim rubbed his chin, considering the idea. "What do you say Mrs. West? Want to give it a shot?"
"I don't know." Tori said unsurely. "I never done the role of a villain before, I don't think I'll be any good with that."
"What about the time you portrayed a werewolf, Vega?" Jade teased. "You were quite fetching and deadly if I say so."
"I was more of an anti-heroine in that role." Tori said with shrug. "And I was seventeen when I took the part; it's been years since I done a paranormal film, why do you think I declined to audition for this one in the first place? This is more your alley Jade, not mine."
"Come on Vega." The Thespian said with encouragement. "Just take a stab at it; what do you have to lose?"
"Well uh… ok." The Latina agreed reluctantly. "Can someone give me a copy of the script please?"
"Good evening travellers!" Tori said heroically. "I am Professor Abigail Van Helsing… Yes, one of the Van Helsing! For centuries my family has kept humankind safe from the evils of monsters such like werewolves, mummies and specially… Vampires." As she spoke her tone went from friendly to dangerously ominous. "So you can believe me when I tell you that I won't rest till every single monster are wiped out from the face of the Earth."
Tori stopped for dramatic effect.
"… And I'll be starting with Dracula's spawn!" She hissed. "She's among us… Don't let your guard down or else you'll become a blood-sucking parasite and should that happen… Well… Let's just say it won't end well for you."
Everyone looked at Tim, they knew that if it was u to Jade, Tori would've gotten the role but they needed an impartial choice and so in the end, it was the director who had the last word.
Tim didn't say anything for what seemed like an eternity, that is until he got up from his chair and gave Tori the full version of the script.
"Congratulations." He said. "You got the part, we'll start shooting in two days, have your lines memorized by then."
The entire studio began to cheer, some cast members even went as far as to grab her and raise her above their shoulders, and after all she was more liked by the people around her.
"HEY!" Jade bellowed. "PUT MY WIFE DOWN! I don't want her breaking her neck!"
They did as they were told, once Tori was safely on the floor, Jade gave her a kiss, something the Latina returned in kind.
Matt ran towards his grandparents and embraced them as much as he could, wrapping his little arms around their legs.
Both women looked at their grandson once they were done kissing, chuckling at his antics.
"Well you little man, are going to get some ice cream." Jade said.
"Really?" Matt asked, his eyes widening in joy. "Can it be chocolate?"
"You can have any flavor you want." Tori replied with a grin. "Not only you got me a job but you also kind of got rid of a major pain the butt, so you're getting a treat today!"
"YAY!"
Phew! Took me longer than I expected writing this chapter, truth be told I wrote like three different ways the ending could've gone, from Melinda suffering another injury like her debut episode to Jade plotting to get her fired, ultimately I decided that karma would be the most fitting way for Melinda to go down, I mean she got Beck fired in the canon version and Jade in this universe's version and Tori getting her role added insult to injury, heh.
Some of you may be asking, how is she still alive? Let's say that unfortunately the worst people just seem to outlive the good ones sometimes.
Speaking of Melinda, in this chapter she was meant to serve as a parallel of what Jade could've become had she never stopped being a gank, a clear evidence of this is how well she treats everyone with respect in contrast to Melinda who saw everyone beneath her.
When Jade talked about the time Tori portrayed a werewolf, that was a reference to the movie "The Boy Who Cried Werewolf" in which Victoria Justice acted in.
The part where Matt wasn't scared of Jade in her Vampire outfit was inspired by the "behind the scenes" story I read when Angelina Jolie portrayed Maleficent and her daughter was the only one of her children who wasn't afraid of her, plus I liked the idea that no matter how "scary" Jade may be, to Matt she will always be his loving grandma and is one of the few people who will never fear her no matter what.
The idea of Van Helsing who we all know is a good character being portrayed as a villain for the film Jade (and later Tori) acted in was inspired by the Hotel Transylvania 3 movie.
Fun fact: Originally, I had planned for Jade to act like a demon for the film but then I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to have Jade play a vampire and lets be honest, who doesn't want to see her in such a role?
Anyway, what do you guys think of this chapter? Good? Bad? In between? As always constructive criticism is appreciated.
Invader Johnny Signing Off.
