One Shot #002: Three Girls and a Dinosaur
It was Friday afternoon, and Lucy, Marcie, and Heather were in the classroom, with Heather giggling while playing with Velvet. "You sure seem to be in an extra giggly mood today." Lucy commented.
"Yeah, why so giggly?" Marcie inquired.
"Oh, no reason in particular...now to prepare for Velvet's tea party" Heather said before showing the two girls the Barney doll in a tutu and fairy wings and Caramel dressed as a princess. "There we go, Velvet. There're the guests."
Lucy could only try not to squeal at the sight.
"You looking especially very nice, Mr. Dinosaur." Heather smiled sweetly as she served her 'guests'.
"Can Webster join?" Marcie asked.
"Fine, if she wants..." Lucy huffed.
"I'll go get her!" Marcie explained.
"Nice outfit." Lucy snickered.
"Thank you, Lucy." Heather blushed.
She was in a light blue Cinderella shirt, glitter in her hair, and smiling proudly. "Would anyone care for a cookie?" Heather asked very sweetly to which Lucy made the Barney doll raise his hand.
"Thank you very much." Lucy imitated Barney.
"You're very welcome, Mr. Dinosaur." Heather giggled before yawning so cutely.
"You sure love those bears..." Lucy said.
"Of course." Heather said, handing a toy cookie to the Barney doll. "I love my teddy bears!"
"And I love Webster..." Marcie smiled before yawning cutely with Heather.
"You two sure seem..." Lucy said before yawning mid sentence. "...sleepy..."
"Heh heh heh..." Heather chuckled to herself "So do you, Lucy."
"No I'm not. I only yawned cause you two blockheads yawned!" Lucy said.
"Oh please..." Marcie rolled her eyes while looking around "Now where'd I put Webster?"
"Right near the bookshelf..." Heather giggled, feeling sleepy.
"Ahhhh...you feel so soft..." Marcie sighed happily, hugging Webster before the three girls shuddered.
"It's a little cold hereā¦" Lucy shuddered before yawning again.
"Lucy, follow me!" Heather instructed, picking up her teddy bears, the Barney doll and her backpack.
"Okay...?" Lucy asked.
The three then rushed to the naptime mats and Heather smiled sleepily, pulling out a big purple blanket. She laid down first, making room for Lucy and Marcie. "So soft..." Heather cooed.
"We'll pass..." Lucy explained.
"It's also very warm and cuddly." Heather said, giving the two girls wide eyes.
"I don't know..." Marcie said, cuddling Webster. "Are you sure about this?"
"Would you rather shiver and shake?" Heather jested. Lucy and Marcie shrugged as Lucy picked up Barney and snuggled right next to Heather, and Marcie and Webster followed suit.
"You're right...besides...I'm really sleepy..." Lucy yawned.
"Pass the dinosaur..." Heather said with puppy dog eyes.
"Do I have to?" Lucy whined, hugging the Barney doll. "He's so soft and cuddly!" she added.
Marcie sighed. "Lucy, must you be this way?" she asked sleepily.
"I just wanna hug Barney, is that a problem?" Lucy asked.
"Pass the dinosaur, Lucy..." Heather repeated.
"Uh..." Lucy said, uneasily.
"It's better when we share..." Heather whined so cutely.
"OK..." Lucy relented, making Heather squeal happily as she cuddled with Barney. She then smiled at Lucy, holding Barney in her arms as an invitation for both of them to hug Barney.
"Thanks!" Lucy smiled, hugging the Barney doll. She then looked at Heather "You sure like that dinosaur..."
"You like him too, admit it." Heather smirked.
"Very, very funny..." Lucy sighed, looking at Heather. "Hmmm..."
Lucy then looked over at Marcie "Nerd? Are you asleep?" Lucy whispered.
"Nope..." Marcie sighed, clinging onto Webster "Why?"
"Could I cuddle Oxford?"
"It's Webster and fine, but just for one minute, Lucille..."
Heather giggled to herself. "Good grief..." she said in a hushed voice.
It didn't take long for all three girls to peacefully fall asleep together.
"Thank you, Barney...You sure know how to treat princess Velvet right...and you look so silly in that tutu..." Heather giggled in her sleep.
"Oh Schroeder...I love your Elton John glasses..." Lucy smiled in her sleep.
Snoopy then tiptoed into the room and kissed Lucy on the nose. "Oh Schroeder..." Lucy murmured as her eyes opened "I love you you sly..." her eyes then widened "DOG! I GOT DOG GERMS ON MY NOSE!" Lucy shouted.
"Lucy?" Heather looked over at Lucy sleepily. "Cool your jets..."
"Stupid beagle..." Lucy then yanked some of the blanket to wrap herself in.
Snoopy burst into laughter while giggling. "That blockhead needs to control his dog better!" Lucy added.
"If you say so..." Heather shrugged. "But honestly, I find Snoopy's antics comedic..."
Lucy sat up a little. "You just say that cause you're Charlie's girlfriend. It's a bias."
"No, I seriously mean it." Heather explained with a yawn.
Lucy shrugged before falling back asleep.
The three girls looked so peaceful as Linus, Sally, and Charlie Brown entered and smiled at what was in front of them. "They look really peaceful like that." Linus commented.
"Have you ever seen something so precious as that?" Charlie Brown asked with a smile, pointing to Heather cutely nuzzling against the Barney doll.
"Yeah, actually I have." Sally said, walking to the arts and crafts table.
"My big sister: queen of hogging blankets..." Linus quipped before seeing Lucy trying to grab something to cuddle with in her sleep.
The same idea hit Charlie Brown and Linus at the same time. "Absolutely not!" Linus defended, hugging his blanket.
"Please..." Charlie Brown requested.
"Alright...but until she wakes up..." Linus sighed, giving Lucy his blanket, allowing her to smile in her sleep as she cuddles with it.
"What're you drawing, Sally?" Charlie Brown asked.
"Something for you, Big Brother." Sally teased with a smile as Heather slowly opened her eyes, yawned, and smiled at her boyfriend while Marcie and Lucy were still asleep.
"Why hello, Prince Charming." Heather said cutely.
"Hi Heather." Charlie Brown cooed as he booped her on the nose. "Boop!"
"Ughhh!" Sally groaned.
"Hey baby..." Heather leaned in. "Boop..." she whispered.
"Here we go again..." Sally whined.
"Boop!" Charlie Brown smiled.
"Boop!" Heather replied.
"WILL YOU TWO CUT THAT OUT?!" Sally huffed, tugging at her hair.
Heather rolled her eyes playfully. "Nope!" she said.
"I was afraid of that..." Sally gulped.
"Hmmm..." Lucy sighed happily, beginning to wake up before realizing what she was holding. "What the...?!" Linus then proudly ran back to his blanket and held it tight.
"Did you have a nice nap?" Charlie Brown smiled.
"I sure did..." Heather giggled. "I dreamt that Barney was a ballerina fairy, performing for Velvet and Caramel and Webster!"
"Awwww." Linus smiled.
"How feminine..." Lucy shuddered. "Ballerinas, fairies, princesses, think outside the box!"
"Okay, then what did YOU dream of?" Heather smirked.
"Taking Schroeder to an Elton John Concert." Lucy said.
"Uh..." Linus asked.
"They were out of Bon Jovi tickets." Lucy added.
"Look what I made for you, Big Brother!" Sally smiled, handing him a picture of Lucy, Heather, and Marcie napping. "For your bedroom. Just in case you wanna look at your girlfriend anytime..."
"Little sisters are weird creatures..." Charlie Brown thought.
"I'll admit, your sister has good attention to detail, you can see Lucy's little smile as she reaches for Barney's tail..." Linus said, making Lucy scowl and growl.
Heather giggled as she played with the Barney doll "Good one, Linus!" Heather said with a smile.
"Hey! I want a turn!" Lucy demanded "As future queen, I demand my turn with the Barney doll!"
"Good grief..." Heather thought, handing Lucy the Barney doll.
Lucy then giggled and hugged the Barney doll. "I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!" she said.
Heather couldn't help but giggle over it.
