So, it's been quite awhile since I have tried anything with Monster High and I'll admit that this idea isn't too new. There have been various attempts in the past, but I haven't been satisfied with what I created around that time. Every story needs a cohesive plot and I just haven't felt it with this particular crossover topic. Yu-Gi-Oh! and Monster High really fit together as a glove as a legit crossover considering in the MH franchise, the monsters are separated from students whereas in the anime of card games, monsters and humans help each other with saving the whole world multiple times. It's the best comparison I have seen that could make these two franchises come together to meet and go on one big adventure together. So, how would this really work? Well, I do feel the anime has been a bit too reliant on Yugi at this point considering he is in all three films that have been released and the original series is the most nostalgic, but there has to be an end to that template. Yu-Gi-Oh! has a specific plot point from Bonds Beyond Time that I want to run with and that is the friendship between Yusei and Jaden along with what an adventure between the two could lead to. I was going to add another protagonist, but this dynamic requires just these two so it doesn't need anything further.
This will be a straight one-shot with breaks in-between to show scene beginnings and endings just like if it were a movie. I'm hoping for seven duels played throughout this movie depending on length as some MH characters will be trained and get decks of their own to help with the upcoming threat in this movie. I'm thinking of a Paradox/Van Hellscream team up, but I could also bring Darkness back from GX Season 4 as his own villain for the movie. Whichever fits better is what you all will see in the upcoming movie. I'm thinking Frankie, Ghouila, Heath, Lagoona, Gil, Abbey, Jinafire, Robecca, Draculaura, and Deuce becoming the duelists for this movie since they have noticeable selections to go for. Those selections being Thunder, Zombies, Pyro, Aqua, Ice, Dragons, Ancient Gears, Vampires, and Reptiles. As for the orders of duels:
Jaden Yuki vs. Yusei Fudo (serves as a dream duel to see and an entertaining match for the students to see Duel Monsters in action)
Deuce Gorgon vs. Heath Burns (possible dispute between the two and they decide to settle it in a duel)
Jaden Yuki vs. Ghouila Yelps (Ghouila is interested in Jaden's heroes and wants to test her deck against his)
Draculaura vs. Abbey Bominable (Partial way training duel)
Robecca Steam and Yusei Fudo vs. Jack Bones (What starts as a charity racing match turns into a turbo duel when a dark carriage pulls up to both participants and the rider challenges them to a duel)
Lagoona Blue vs. Gil Fishington vs. Jinafire Long vs. Frankie Stein (Lagoona and Gil start arguing over a recent fight Gil had with his parents over their relationship and Lagoona forces Gil to choose between her and his parents' wishes. Jinafire and Frankie suggest a little duel to help calm things down, but Lagoona drags them in creating quite the chaotic match)
Jaden Yuki and Yusei Fudo vs. Main Threat (The final duel against the main threat of the movie)
