"Master!" Ahsoka shouts as she runs after Anakin.
"What, Ahsoka?" Anakin questions, turning around.
"I just got a comm from Master Windu, he wants to see us right away. He said he tried to get a hold of you, but you weren't answering." Ahsoka says and Anakin grins at her.
"Yeah, I purposefully turned it off so wouldn't have to answer any questions from the Council." Anakin says.
"We have to go, Skyguy. We can't ignore them, something bad could've happened for all you know." Ahsoka scolds.
"Fine, but let's take the long way, I love it when we're late and Windu's forehead just crinkles!" Anakin says.
"Sometimes I wonder who really is the Master and Padawan." Ahsoka says, smirking.
"Hey!" Anakin protests.
"Knight Skywalker and Padawan Tano." Someone shouts. Anakin and Ahsoka quickly turn around and see Mace Windu behind them.
"Busted." Ahsoka whispers to Anakin.
"I have been comming you for the last hour, Skywalker." Mace scolds.
"Sorry, Master Windu. It must have died." Anakin shrugs but then his comm beeps, a message from Padme coming in, Anakin's face turns red, while Ahsoka is trying to stifle her laughter.
"Sure, it did." Mace says, looking at him disapprovingly. "I have important news we need to discuss, in private." Mace leads them to his quarters and shuts the door.
"Is everything okay, Master Windu?" Ahsoka asks, concerned.
"I'm afraid everything is far from okay." Mace says, letting out a huff. "Has any of you been in contact with Master Kenobi lately?"
"No, but I was going to invite him over to Dex's later. Is he okay?" Anakin inquires.
"He's okay as in he's not hurt but there has been an issue. I don't know how to say this, so I'll just tell it to you straight. Obi-Wan and his troops were sent off-world to go and destroy another Separatist's base, while the droids were retreating, Obi-Wan was hit with a rocket launcher." Anakin and Ahsoka's eyes go wide in worry. "He's all right, but the rocket was invented by the Separatists to de-age whatever it touches."
"Are you saying that Obi-Wan got de-aged?!" Anakin exclaims.
"Yes, he is currently seven-years-old." Mace informs.
"Yeah, sorry. I'll believe it when I see it." Anakin says.
"Is he okay? Does he remember anything?" Ahsoka inquires.
"He's fine, he is currently residing with Master Plo, and no, he doesn't remember anything about his future life." Mace says.
"Where is he? I don't believe that he got de-aged, that's like impossible!" Anakin protests.
"Why would the Council lie to you about this, Master? Let alone, Master Windu." Ahsoka reasons.
"That's not all, we found out who the Sith Lord is" Mace states, Anakin and Ahsoka look at him in surprise.
"Who is he?" Anakin inquires.
"Chancellor Palpatine. Dooku stated that the Sith was hiding in the Senate. Now, we just need evidence so we can arrest him." Mace states.
"You can't just say the Chancellor is the Sith! You don't even have evidence! That's treason against the Republic!" Anakin protests.
"How did the Council figure it out?" Ahsoka questions.
"We didn't, Obi-Wan did. He sensed the Force in Palpatine, and his Force signature was dark. And I am aware it is treason, Skywalker, but if he is a Sith, then he must be taken down." Mace informs.
"You can't arrest the Chancellor based on the word of a child!" Anakin says and Ahsoka gasps.
"Master! Obi-Wan sensed it, so it must be right!" Ahsoka reasons.
"Yeah, but he is a child, he doesn't know anything right now." Anakin says.
"I'd be careful, Skywalker. Obi-Wan was one of the brightest initiates and he is still one of the brightest Jedi. If he says Palpatine is a Sith, then he is a Sith." Mace says, defending his friend, Anakin grumbles, not happy about the Jedi wanting to arrest his friend.
"Can we see Master Kenobi?" Ahsoka asks as she tries to defuse the situation.
"Yes, I trust Plo has already informed Obi-Wan of his current predicament, so it's safe for you guys to see him now. And one more thing, as of now, Obi-Wan is currently in danger, if the Sith Lord knows Obi-Wan poses a threat to him, then he will try to eliminate Obi-Wan, so we must protect him." Mace says and they nod.
They walk to Master Shaak's room and Mace knocks on the door, the door opens revealing Plo, who has food stained on his robe.
"What happened to you?" Mace asks.
"Never warm up noodles in the microwave without a lid." Plo explains as he lets them in.
"Is Master Kenobi here, Master Plo?" Ahsoka questions.
"Yes, and you can call him Obi-Wan or Obi. He is in the kitchen making dinner." Plo says.
"Looks like you got bested by an initiate, my friend." Mace says smiling, Anakin looks at him in shock.
"He is warming up nuggets, it's not that hard." Plo protests. They walk into the kitchen and see Obi-Wan putting frozen-shaped nuggets in the oven.
"All done, Master Plo!" Obi-Wan says excitedly. "Hello, Master Windu! Hello there, Knight Skywalker and Padawan Tano." Obi-Wan says, Anakin goes stock still, his jaw wide open. Ahsoka laughs and kneels next to Obi-Wan.
"You can call me Ahsoka, Obi. How did you know it was us?" Ahsoka questions.
"Master Plo told me!" Obi-Wan says.
"You're a kid." Anakin says.
"Yes?" Obi-Wan says, unsure.
'You're a kid." Anakin repeats, Obi-Wan looks to Ahsoka confused.
"Just ignore him, he's just a bit weird." Ahsoka says, laughing.
"Wha? How? Why? I can't believe this! This is impossible!" Anakin says stressing. He walks around the kitchen, putting his hands in his hair, and muttering stuff.
"I understand now, this child must be an imposter and the Separatists kidnapped Obi-Wan and hid him somewhere. We have to find him and interrogate this imposter, he's probably a programmed clone or droid." Anakin shouts, going crazy.
"Skywalker, I assure you that this is actually Obi-Wan." Mace states.
"No, you all are being deceived!" Anakin says, he rushes to Obi-Wan and picks him, he pinches him on the arm, and Obi-Wan protests, a bit scared of the blond man holding him.
"He's clearly a clone then." Anakin says as the three Jedi in the room rush over to Obi-Wan, Plo quickly snatches a terrified Obi-Wan out of Anakin's arms.
"Master! He is just a child! You scared him!" Ahsoka scolds.
"No, he is a clone, and he has to be arrested." Anakin states.
"That is enough, Skywalker. Obi-Wan is a child, look at his signature if you must, but I will not let you terrorize a child!" Mace shouts.
Anakin scoffs and looks at Obi-Wan's signature then freezes.
"He really is a child. Oh, Force!" Anakin says as he looks over to Obi-Wan who is shaking in Plo's arms, absolutely terrified.
"I'm sorry, Obi-Wan. This is just all new to me." Anakin apologizes.
"So, you... you won't interrogate me?" Obi-Wan asks, tears springing to his eyes.
"Oh no! Don't cry! I won't, I promise! I'm sorry." Anakin says.
"I forgive you." Obi-Wan says and snuggles closer to Plo, who protectively hugs him tighter.
"I must speak to Master Windu alone for a minute, little Obi, but then I will return, can you stay with 'Soka and Anakin for a minute?" Plo gently asks and Obi-Wan nods. Ahsoka comes closer and takes Obi-Wan from Plo and cradles him to her chest.
Plo and Mace walk into Shaak's bedroom.
"What's wrong?" Mace asks.
"Healer Che contacted me and said they are struggling to find a cure, that it's likely they won't, but they are trusting the Force to guide them. And second, the Force spoke to me earlier today." Plo says and Mace's eyes go wide in shock.
"The Force claimed it chose Obi-Wan on purpose to get de-aged and the only way to win this war would be through the eyes of an innocent child." Plo states.
"Is that all?" Mace inquires.
"No, the Force confirmed that Obi-Wan is the Force's Chosen One." Plo states and Mace looks shocked.
"We have to report this to the Council then." Mace says, suddenly the power in the Temple shuts off, and the Force is screaming everywhere, warning them of danger.
Plo and Mace rush out of the room and see Anakin with his blue saber ignited for light. Ahsoka is protectively cradling Obi-Wan who is shaking everywhere, while she murmurs words of comfort to him.
"The power shutting off is no accident. Something has happened." Mace states.
"You think it's the Separatists?" Anakin inquires.
"Probably, but most likely spies." Mace says. Anakin looks over to Obi-Wan and Mace nods, they know why spies would be here, they want to take Obi-Wan.
"Anakin and Ahsoka, you will take Obi-Wan out of here, it is no longer safe, the Temple has been compromised." Mace states and they nod.
"Where will we go? Ahsoka asks.
"Naboo. Senator Amidala will look after you guys." Plo says.
"What about Master Plo!" Obi-Wan shrieks. Plo walks over to Obi-Wan and cradles him.
"You must stay with "Soka and Anakin, it is no longer safe here, my little Obi. Once we have captured the bad people, we will come back for you, I promise." Plo says and hugs him then hans him over back to Ahsoka.
"You must guard them, Anakin. This war depends on it, most importantly, Obi-Wan's life depends on it." Plo says.
"I will. Come on, Snips, we can take one of my ships." Anakin says as the trio rush out of the quarters, Anakin with his saber alight and Ahsoka cradling Obi-Wan protectively to her chest.
"I sense that something bad is about to happen." Mace says.
"I know but we must trust in the Force now. Come on, we have to find the spies." Plo says, as he lights his saber, Mace ignites his saber also, and they quickly rush out of the room.
"I have eyes on them, General. They are heading towards the hangar." A Kiffar man in Jedi robes says as he watches the two Jedi and an initiate rush to the hangar.
"Follow them, Xan. I want Kenobi now." Grievous says.
"Yes, General Grievous." The man says and hangs up.
"What do we do now?" Another man asks as he walks out of the shadows, disguised as a Jedi.
"We follow them to the hangar; there we will take Kenobi." The Kiffar man states.
The spy and double spy rush after the trio.
