chapter 1

AN: Hi COTNF here thanks for reading this story. I will be using a lot of abbreviations in this chapter and I will underline and pilot tems so you can refer to the glossary.

I am sorry for any grammar or spelling mistakes.

On with the story. :)

Two F18's are screaming thoe a valley in iran at 50 ft as they avoid radar detection on their SEAD mission to strike a SA-10 grumble.

As they flew past an observer could see one of the fighters was completely painted black! If they observed it on the aircraft carrier they would see that its nose art is the face of a dragon and it's as if its mouth is open and teeth extended and it has a purple-blue glow in its mouth with a look that it is about to strike.

The words on the side of the aircraft say "Night fury."

Hiccup's callsign.

"Hay Drewski got any spikes?" says hiccup over the radio looking at his RWR

"Nah not yet" his RWR beps "-hang on i got one… There's the target." He sees the symbol for the grumble.

"I've got them too-Woow two Foxbats just pop't up!" says hiccup.

"I see e'm." said Drewski. "Let's get these HARM's away and bugot and buster!" They only had two AM-9x sidewinder's each and their 20-mm guns for air-air.

Thay pop up and release their harms and brake and activate their afterbernes. Travelling at mach1.2 thay thay get down on the deck and activate jamers.

At the SA-10 thay fire the missiles at the f-18's and at the HARM's.

In the sky the MIG-25 foxbat's fire 4 of their 8 AA-6 missiles at the f-18's and give chase.

Alarms ring in cockpits of the f-18's as the pilots frantically flip switches as they descend into the valley once more as they fly. Hiccup spoofs the first of the AA-6's using chaff and flares and he dodges the second one by jinking and going behind a mountain.

But Drewski jinks the first… but is hit by the second one!

"I'M HIT I* GO*NG D**N!" Then he ejects and static fills the channel.

Then Hiccup reports that Drewski is hit and has SA-10 radar is hit by the HARM's and missiles self-destruct and hiccups RWR stops as a CAP has come to deal with the foxbats.

Hiccup lands on the aircraft carrier and parks. He goes to debrief.

Then he logs out of DCS and discord and shuts down his computer as his father calls him downstairs. "Son." he says in a soft voice "we need to talk…"

Sorry about that but I find it hard to write long chapters for me so most will be this short. And please review.

The underline is me telling you to google or wiki these pilot terms.(you don't have to but it will help you understand the story better.) but i will tell you the terms that won't popup if you google them.(the rest you can google)but if you google them and it doesn't cumeup you will need to put in "Aviation term".

Spike d/s (not that one!)when you detect enemy radar.(for example "spicy this is jester one SA-6 spike.")

Brake do a 180 from the enemy.

Deck in combat it is referred to 50 ft above the surface but in training it is the "Simulated deck" referring to a limit for pilots to attack the "enemy" trainer.

bigot and buster retreat from a dogfight with full thottal.

ingjink() This manoeuvre is the sudden, rapid displacement of the aircraft's flight path in three axes. This is. used to confuse the enemy and prevent him from getting a good tracking/fireing solution.
