"Hey, Hey, Wake up."

My head hurts from the strike as i sit up and take in my surroundings just to see that we had been locked in some kind of cell, the standard cell from prequirks from what you can tell, with the metal bars and stone walls. There were voices, farther down the row they were on they were distorted, almost corrupted.

"Warden Hiraishi, graces you with his presence inmates, you freaks better appreciate his willingness to even look at you!"

Two of the guards from before walk to your cell followed by a man who looks about in their mid 20s with short brownish tan hair and harsh yellow eyes. He seems to be wearing a classic wardens outfit strait out of a book of some kind, he has a wooden looking baton on his side the guards looked higher rank than the other they have seen wearing red instead of the usual green color of the others

"Well if it isn't weak Shoji, the guards informed me you were out of your cell with this other kid, i must say pretty ballsy of you to try and leave like that but you must know what happens to those who try to escape my prison"

"Hiraishi-sensai What're doi…" He is hit multiple times, by the guards while the warden guy Hiraishi if i heard correctly. i feel as if i should do something, but my fear keeps me from acting

"ARE YOU REALLY JUST GOING TO LET YOUR NEW FRIEND BECOME SOME PUNCHING BAG FOR THIS MAN RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU AND JUST BE THAT OF A PURPOSELESS BYSTANDER OR WILL REBEL AND ACT IN DEFENSE OF YOUR NEW ALLIY?

"I…" you hesitate unsure of yourself or your abilities "i'll do it"

"THAT IS A WISE CHOICE,, I ART THOU, THOU ART I, THE ROLE OF THE TRICKSTER HAS ONCE AGAIN BEEN FILLED, BY A MAN OF TRUE STATURE. TAKE MY POWER AND DO WHAT IS RIGHT!"

It hits all at once like 10 massive migraines going at the same time, the pain feels endless. I grab at the source of the pain just to feel a mask of some kind, seemingly stuck and start to pull at it to rid myself of the pain. The mask is pulled off in a show of blood with the power rushing into me like a waterfall into a lake, blue fire erupts as the power is unleashed. The words I utter are unfamiliar but I feel as if I have known them for my whole life,

"Per-so-na!" Hiraishi runs away fearing this new power, the guards dissolve away to reveal two identical monsters. This will be interesting.

"What the"

"Eiha" i cast it like it's second nature, it's cool but kinda scary

I run out of the cell with Shoji right behind me, getting trapped in a dead end until i heard a voice

"Hey, you guys, i need you to help me out here" i turn my head to face, a cat?

"A cat?" shoji had said it before i could.

"I'M NOT A CAT!"

"Lower your voice, before the guards hear you." i try not to speak louder than needed

"I can help you get out of here, if you get me out of this cell"

"Deal" i say with confidence

The cell door was easy to pick and open and all we had to do was leave, but life isn't easy so of course we were attacked again with the cat taking the lead this time.

"What was that" shoji just as excited as ever asked

"Can you please explain what this is mr. cat?"

"First, I told you i'm not a cat, the name's morgana, and second the thing you and i just used was called a persona, a part of one's soul if you will. And the place we are in is called a palace a place in the metaverse where someone's distorted desires take physical form"

"Ok, that was confusing but we need to worry about getting back home." i say trying to stay calm after everything that has happened.

"Ok, follow me"

Morgana is quite smart being able to solve the different puzzles on the way there

"Try not to get captured again" i say as i leave. And as we walk i can faintly hear something say

"Returned to the real world"
