Welcome to my first fanfic…well, my first 'react' fanfic as you can see in the title. I have been fascinated by the idea of the fact that the cast needs to watch their journey, especially Subaru, and now I'm gonna write one about it. But, there are some differences compared to the other 'Re: Zero react fanfic' is that Subaru is awake…which is pretty much the difference. Also, what the cast are watching is my fanfic, which I purposefully didn't write as separate fanfic as I wrote as a part of this fanfic since…why not, so whatever they are watching is me writing it. That is all I have to say, enjoy the fanfic!.

Chapter 1

"Well, this is new" This sentence arrives and walks out casually through the throat and lips of a knight of one of the five candidates - Subaru Natsuki, the Lolimancer and Emilia's knight.

Subaru reflected on his sharp eyes and saw what seems to be a room which shape like a box with no windows or doors the walls are painted red with strings of black separating each one to shape them as cubes sitting next to each other. Rows of crimson comfortable chairs lined both vertical and horizontal throughout the room as the seats cover the room except for some spaces that was stairs that led people to the chairs. But the most impressive thing that held his attention was a large rectangular device that cover up the whole wall from left to right and up to down.

-This was a movie theatre…and he is not alone.

"S-Subaru?" Subaru recognized that voice. That angelic voice where even the mightiest and beautiful of angels couldn't even compete, a voice so pure that even a saint wouldn't be able to look at it without shielding his eyes as the saint would beg for her to let him hear it once more. Subaru twist his neck to look at the source to find her – Standing naively with her hands holding onto one another as she let those hands hover in front of her chest with the amethyst and colorless dress that adorn her which made her more beautiful than anyone in any dimensions and worlds while her long, yet smooth, silver hair swaying as she looks from left to right as she is confused about the situation before looking back at him with those angelic amethyst orbs.

"E-Emilia?-" His eyes widen with relief and dread covering his insides – relief that he is not alone…but dreadfully realise that she might get hurt - Calm down Subaru, even if her expression is adorable to look at but now it's not the time! - Subaru forced a smile on his face as he acted as if nothing happened. "-a-are you ok, Emilia?"

"W-where are we, Subaru? Where are the other?" Panicking at this, she look at her knight for an answer as her knight held his chin as he looked down with an expression that she doesn't really like - determination.

"I'm not sure, we were going to Priestella…then.." Subaru's sharp eyes widen at the memories as it begins to pour into him like a waterfall. The group was travelling towards Priestella…only for them to appear in a blink of an eye…but who want them here? Are they aiming at Emilia since she's a Royal Candidate? Then why are we teleported to somewhere that is obviously to be from his world? And if they have the power to do so, then they could easily kill them…but they didn't…Odd.

"W-what's wrong?" Emilia ask with fear riddle upon her porcelain face.

"Well–"

"Were the fuck are we?!" A gravelly voice caught the attention of both the knight and his lady as they both look at its direction…to find the people they knew were there.

"Garfield?!"

"Natsuki-san?! Where are we?!"

Otto and Garfield…not just them were present as he realized that their group wasn't the only camp here. Crusch's camp, Anastasia camp, hell even Priscilla's camp is even here…along with a certain clown and his certain maid.

"Wait a minute! You guys are here as well?!" Subaru exclaimed as he saw all the other camps.

"...So you guys were the same huh?" Subaru, with a drop of sweat on his forehead, looks around after he asks them how are they able to get here. From Anastasia's camp, stated that she, Julius, Ricardo along with the triplets were resting at one of the inns within Priestella, to only found themselves in a strange room with their formal, yet usual clothing. In Crusch's case, Wilhelm, Felix, and her were on their way to Priestella before they appear suddenly. Priscilla's case is the same, Al explained that Priscilla and he were resting at the mansion before…well the same s everyone. the same applied to Felt and Reinhard. Emilia also explained that her camp as they were on their way towards Priestella, also met the same fate.

-A blink of an eye, they were all here.

Subaru held his hands upon his chin in order to allow the train of thought to cross his mind. Unfortunately, the train never came as one of the triplets screamed out.

"Hey! Hey! The thing just turned into white!" Mimi yell with excitement as she pointed at the wall in front of them which cause everyone to look at her fingers which made them look at the mirror before them.

"...What is that?" Crusch said as she look at the palish mirror in front of the camps including her with a hardened expression.

Wilhelm looks at the screen with battle-hardened eyes as he is prepared to defend his lady, which Felix has the exact thought, along with the other knights.

"Don't be fear Anastasia-sama, I'll protect you" Julius, the Greatest of knights, spoke as he placed one hand on his sword as he put his other hand in front of his lady.

"I know I could count on you, Julius" Anastasia smiled as her mind was not filled with dread or fear, but of curiosity about what is happening in front of her.

"Don't forget about us, Anastasia" Ricardo said as he stood up from the chair and pull out his weapon as the triplets were ready for a battle.

All knights were preparing their own way and thinking of the strategy of fighting an upcoming threat along with some that were able to fight that were ready to pounce on whatever is coming for them… except for two knights…since Reinhard, the Sword Saint, recognized that whatever is coming is worthy since he was able to pull out that sword from the sheath on his back…and for Subaru, he was collecting information and thinking of a way to survive this without triggering… That…

–As the camps were ready to fight, something appears on the white mirror…it was two dots… that were getting bigger by four times the original size every second pass…until they saw what it was.

"A-a horse? And is that an Earth Dragon?!" Subaru thought as reflected in everyone's eyes were two riders. And before they could register what they look like, the two dots kept getting closer by every millisecond.

"Prepared yourself!" Crusch spoke with the voice of a general and a leader with her voice reached everyone's ear with the desired effect as they were gripping as their knuckles turned white and unsheathing their weapons that were faster than an arrow.

-The two riders, riding their steed, burst through the mirror.

Everyone flinch at the arrival of the two riders and their steed and when they finally were able to take in their appearance…the most disgusting and horrific Mabeast paled in comparison to these two.

Cover in flames, the riders…were skeletons. From their hand holding the reign of their steed to their own head, all covered in flames as their bone features were facing towards their direction. When the camps look at their steed, they also realized that their steeds were engulfed in flames as they weren't sporting muscles nor flesh - only hardened and palish bone. One of the skeletons looks at each person with its hollow and empty eye-sockets - scanning their surroundings and them for something they couldn't think of as they all have their pupils shrink to the point of non-existence at they look at these…creatures.

The one that is looking was wearing some sort of clothing that no one was able to recognize…except for the sharpened eyes and charcoal hair knight as he could see clearly what the taller one was wearing – a dark trench coat which covering the skeleton's upper body as it hides the skeleton's chest out of sight yet Subaru was able to see that the taller skeleton was also wearing some sort of black shirt underneath with dark leather pants and darkened boots covering the lower side of the flaming skeleton with large black-pauldron that have multiple enlarged spikes sprouted from the pauldron as it covering the skeleton's shoulder as black fingerless gloves wrapped its hands as only its skeleton fingers was left naked. Also, he has a black cowboy hat. Despite cover in flames, the clothing appears to be undamage by the fire and the flames only seen to be covering the skeleton, not the clothing.

-The shorter one's uniform causes everybody to be shocked though, since the shorter skeleton was wearing the uniform of the Royal Guard of Lugnica.

As the skeleton scanned the surrounding and the people within, the skeleton halted his neck as its sockets was looking…at Subaru…but why does it felt like he was looking past him…Subaru widened his eyes as he trust his instinct and move in front of the girl that he loved. The skeleton wasn't looking at him…he was looking at Emilia.

"Hey now-" Subaru draw out his courage and cause everyone, except the skeletons, to look at him before looking back at potential enemies "-i know Emilia is cute, but that doesn't mean that you could look at her all you want, you know?"

"S-subaru!?" Emilia's eyes widen at the courage and possibility stupidity of her knight before glancing back at the skeleton…as one of the skeleton, the shorter one, step down from his steed.

"!" Everyone was alerted at the action… but no one was alerted as Reinhard and Beatrice, who landed next to Subaru, for they were unable to see it…to see whether the thing have malicious intent. Although, everyone was prepared to fight, the skeleton doesn't show any move after it stepped down from it steed. Fow dozens of seconds, the skeletons continue to look at them, with the taller one continue to scanned the surrounding and the people within while the shorter one was looking at something in front of it…Subaru's eyes widen in horror as he realised the shorter one was also looking past him…towards Emilia.

–Then the shorter one walk towards her.

"It's aiming for Emilia!" Everybody eyes hardened and widen as the combatant member of the Emilia camp begin to rushed towards to ensure the safety of their leader of the camp. As the skeleton continue to walk towards Emilia, the taller one remove himself from the saddle of his steed as he stepped down as continue to look at the event happening before him.

Garfield stood as the first defence as the skeleton continue to walk towards Emilia, and when the punching distance is suffice, before a punch was thrown from Garfield as he let out a vicious roar. But it misses since the skeleton just dropped.

"Wha-?" Garfield stumbled forward before looking back at the spot where the skeleton was...before he widen his eyes in horror.

"CAPTAIN!-"

"Emilia" a light yet gravelly voice reaches towards the ears of everyone as all camp, beside Priscilla, have eyes widen in horror at the scene before them…especially the Emilia camp as all their neck could have snap because of the speed they twist their neck towards the voice to find the skeleton…standing in front of a sacred Emilia.

"EMILIA!" Subaru shouted as the skeleton continues to stand before her.

Time seems to slow down for subaru as he look at the surrounding for anything - ANYTHING - that can help this situation. He look at every capable fighter in this room to realised that they won't be able to make it as they scream and begun to ran towards the elven-girl, he glance at the magic user to found them in the same fate as the knight. As subaru look at this event, he felt something hot. Subaru look down to find the floor was glowing with heat.

"WATCHED OUT!"

–He yelled when time continue its normal speed, one second before column of flames formed into a wall surrounding Emilia and the skeleton.

"NO! EMILIA!" Subaru stumbled to the ground as he shield his eyes from the column of fire before looking at it and stood up with the determination to save the one he loved. As he was about to put his hands into the fire, a skeletal hand grab him. Subaru look at the hand before following the arm to see the taller skeleton held his arm. After fear took over him for a second, arise the determination in his eyes and tried to yank his arms away from the skeletal hand…to find that he couldn't.

"Not yet, Natsuki Subaru" The skeleton spoke to him but it went from one ear and out through the other as Subaru continue to yank his arms from the grasp of the immensely strong skeleton before he caught a glance of everyone trying to reach Emilia but the fire proves to be hot enough that it cut off Garfield's hand when he tried to go through it. Seeing this, everybody tried to attack the column of fire…only to find out that it incinerated their weapon as if a laser just cut it off. But the most shocking part was the case of Reinhard, since Reinhard wasn't able to swing his sword to hit the fire as it stop midway. He tried again to swing it but it yield the same result. So he sheathed his weapon and put his hands through the fire…only for him to gunt as his face scowled with pain as he continues to walk through the fire before Windhelm pull him out to discover that the part that contacts the flames almost burnt it to charcoal.

"SHIT! WHAT SHOULD I DO!? WHAT SHOULD I DO!? WHAT SHOULD I DO!? WHAT SHOULD I DO!? WHAT SHOULD I DO!? WHAT SHOULD I DO!? WHAT SHOULD I DO!? WHAT SHOULD I DO!? WHAT SHOULD I DO!? WHAT SHOULD I DO!?..." Subaru continue to think in his situation with a panicking face…Before realizing there's only one way left…he slid his tongue between the teeth of his jaws with one word in his mind "Sorr-"

"Killing yourself is a sin, Natsuki Subaru-" Subaru widen his eyes and look at the skeleton that was still holding his wrist as the skeleton look at him with hollow eye-sockets with flame swirling around his face before opening its jaw to let its heavy and gravelly voice came through "-And look." Subaru eyes follows the skeleton's hand that was pointing in front of him and what he saw was…the weirdest situation ever in his life…all of them.

-The shorter skeleton was kneeling down with both knees touching the ground, and its face was nearly touching the floor as it faces, before Emilia

With eyes wider than a pond, Emilia was holding her hands as she placed it on her chest and she looked at the skeleton with both fear and confusion etch to her expression and eyes before she open her lip and spoke "W-what?"

"I'm sorry Emilia-" the skeleton continue to kneel in front of her as he spokes "-if only i was stronger, if only i was more perceptive…" Reflecting on the amethyst eyes was the flae beginning to slowly die down. In minutes, the fired died…and replaced it was flesh and muscle…and when the ex-skeleton look up - Emilia gasp as others have their eyes widen.

"What?"

Subaru was stunned that he didn't even realize that the taller skeleton ave released his arm as Subaru walk without caring toward the shorter ex-skeleton with cautious. Train of thoughts run through his mind…so many of them that it have become a mess…but it waste away after he saw the ex-skeleton face…it was him…but something was wrong with those eyes…those eyes were not like his…they were hollow as if the skull never left. The 'subaru' he was looking at also have a vertical scar that ran from his forehead to his chin as it ran over his left eyes…yet in those eyes, both the color and the greyish one, there was a hint of happiness…and guilt.

Seems like almost everyone is here

All people, except for the two newcomers, look around with fear, determination, cautiousness, and more as they look for the source of the voice that echoes through the room…but they are in their seats instead of standing where they were standing. Subaru and the others he knew were, after a blink of an eye, sitting on the comfortable crimson chair while the ex-skeleton stood back up before combusting back into the skeleton form once more before walking back to his earth dragon steed.

"W-what just hap-" Before Subaru could continue that sentence, his neck snap to find Emilia, who was sitting next to him with a confused and scared expression "Emilia! Are you okay?!"

"H-huh?" Emilia escape from the trance and paralyzed emotion she was in and look towards Subaru before she shook her head and gave her knight a small smile "-N-no, Subaru, i'm fine"

-Before Subaru could even ask the other the same question, the voice spoke

Alright…

Everyone, including the riders, heard the voice and heard something sound like a clicking sound of boots which leads their eyes to the mirror and saw the following words that were written on it

Time for questions as I tried to bring more people…Now, any questions?
