Timey Whimey
The house of Johnny Cage out in Los Angeles, California. Johnny is in bed his alarm clock ringing at 4:30 AM, he slams to shut it off. Due to the mystery attackers he is sore and tired rolls back over, a few hours go by and there is a loud knocking on the door and someone yells "Open up Motherfuckah!". This causes Johnny to wake up again, he gets on a pair of pants puts on sunglasses and walks to the front door. He opens the door to see his agent Franklin Clinton accompanied by his aughter Cassie Cage, ex wife Sonya Blade, Jacqui Briggs, Takeda Takahashi, Kung Jin, P-Body, and Atlas. Cassie quickly rushes to hug her dad which surprises Johnny.
Johnny: I'm sorry, did I miss something?
Franklin: Nah man, they got the call from Hawk and your daughter was worried sick about you. I tried to tell her it was no big deal and you held your own. She tried to break in but I stopped her.
Johnny: Yeah of course, I appreciate that but I also appreciate the concern... why don't you guys all come in.
The group all enters Johnny's house and they gather in Johnny's man cave area which consists of a giant TV with multiple gaming consoles, a large couch, and on the walls posters of movies and shows Johnny has starred in along with pictures of Johnny with various movie stars and celebrities. These pictures include Franklin, Michael De Santa, Bruce Wayne, Zatanna, Alan Wake, TJ Combo, Ted Grant, Captain America and Tony Stark, Johnny Blaze, a poster for a Ninja Mime and Blue Devil crossover movie that was planned but never happened, and even a picture of Johnny with Flash Gordon when he still played for the New York Jets.
Johnny: Alright can I get you guys anything? Water, coffee? I need some coffee.
Sonya: Negative, were all fine.
Johnny: Ok great uh, look don't get me wrong but why are you all here? Is this an intervention? I've been sober for almost a decade now. Tony's my sponsor, both careers are stable, my daughter loves me... I just don't understand-
Cassie: I was worried about you and I made everybody come here that could. I might of overreacted.
Sonya: But that's not the only reason were here you're needed with.
Johnny: Ok what is it?
Sonya: The remembrance event at the Hall of Justice, were leaving for it today.
Johnny: I could've flown out there and met you guys there.
Sonya: Cassie insisted we pick up after we heard the news we'll be leaving soon. I believe your agent wishes to speak with you about something else. Team back to the jet.
General Blade then escorts the team back out to the front. Cassie hugs her dad on the way out. Franklin then goes and sits on the couch.
Franklin: Dawg you watch the morning news yet?
Johnny: No why?
Franklin then turns on the TV and changes the channel to the local station and it shows a shaky video of Johnny along with Franklin, Lamar, Michael, and GI Joe member Rock N Roll fighting soldiers wearing soldiers wearing black armor.
Local News: Action hero star turned superhero Johnny Cage was seen last night fighting black cladded soldiers in the driveway of his agent Franklin Clinton. The two appear to fight along side movie director and producer Michael De Santa, small business owner Lamar Davis, and an unknown man believed to be a GI Joe operative. They held off these men for sometime before GI Joe and LAPD swooped in as back up. Mr. Clinton or either of his clients Cage and De Santa haven't commented on why they were attacked or if they are associated with GI Joe. However we did talk to Mr. Davis outside of his dispensary this morning.
Lamar: Man you know what it is! Talk (bleep) get shot! Word to my OG Ice T even though I'm west is the best all day erryday! But ey man check this out this ain't gonna stop LD organics were a movement! I talk about the movement cuz I'm movin'.
Reporter: Are you worried the same group that attacked you will come after you again.
Lamar: Nah I ain't worried, I'm not a person of interest in that case knomsayin. But even if they did I got my boy Citizen Cage and that boy Craig! Bow bow!
Franklin then shuts off the TV and looks at Johnny.
Johnny: OK so how do we want to spin this?
Franklin: Talked to Craig through Lamar this morning and he was pretty clear about mentioning him and his day job in any press release as little as possible.
Johnny: Understandable are we going to say they were after me?
Franklin: It's the only thing that makes sense but no one's gonna want have you star in their movie if you are being hunted terrorists.
Johnny: Did you seriously come over to spit ball ideas about how to spin a press release?
Franklin: That and I know you talked to Mike after I went and checked on my family.
Johnny: Yeah he told me he was in witness protection and used to be a bank robber out in the Midwest. But I could tell he was holding back some info so I told him I don't feel comfortable being of this weird Ninja Mime revival that's going to jump start a shared universe with a bunch of other properties that don't mesh.
Franklin: Look I get it but I'm a kid from the East Side. I barely made it through community college, I had to hustle to get to where I am today. I can't walk on water, Mike can't walk on water, and I'm saying this as a friend you can't either man.
Johnny: Am I a piece of shit? Sure. Done anything illegal? Just about every drug, a couple DUIs, a few fights in public... But I don't hold people that don't deserve it at gunpoint.
Franklin: (sighs) You don't get it man, Mike's atoned for all that. This is your baby were talkin' about here.
Johnny: No my baby is in the front yard waiting for me to fly out to DC with them Frank. Look I gotta pack a couple bags I'm gonna be gone for a couple days. Just think of something for the press release, I'll say whatever you want me to say.
Franklin: Aight then.
Franklin walks out of the room angrily and heads to his car which is parked to the side of the Special Forces Jet that is in the driveway. As Franklin backs out of the driveway he calls Michael.
Franklin: Mike you there? You hear me?
Michael: Yeah I can hear you.
Franklin: Good you can start by telling me what the fuck you were thinking telling Johnny the truth about who you are?!
Michael: Don't get mad at me man the military dude, Hawk he fucking read up on me or something. He said "We are fully aware of your history BUT because of your new career and turning your act around" and Johnny's not as fucking dumb as the tabloids made him out to be. So what am I gonna do F? Lie to the guy who has saved the world multiple times, glows green, and uppercut my fucking head off? Besides I didn't tell him about Lester or Trevor or any of the scores WE did. I just told him I was a bank robber that got a sweet deal I couldn't refuse and some how I'm now in show biz. He's being the pussy here not me.
Franklin: Aight my fault then for getting hostile, you talk to Bill yet?
Michael: He just called me and told me Pratt is out he just signed a big deal wouldn't go into details. Were gonna have to do an open casting see if we can get lucky and strike gold with someone.
Franklin: Nah I'm not giving up on Johnny he's the ticket to an early retirement I'm telling you.
Michael: Frank the money we have accumulated since we STARTED working together we could've retired years ago but chose not to. If you really think we can get Cage back in the saddle than by all means go for it but I'm not pressing it anymore.
Franklin: Alright let me call Imani real quick. I'm gonna have her whip a press release one that covers everyone's ass. I'll say we were all at dinner and these dudes were looking for Johnny but due to Johnny's connections back up came in the form of GI Joe. Mr. Cage isn't directly affiliated with the organization blah blah.
Michael: That sounds good to me, I'll see you F.
Back at Johnny Cage's house. Johnny steps out of the front door fully clothed with multiple bags and ready to go. He hops into the jet and sits next to Cassie. Johnny looks at his phone and sees he has a text from Franklin.
Franklin (text): Talked to Mike he's sorry he freaked you out. Still wants to work with u but understands if u don't. Also talked to Imani she's gonna text u the press release.
Johnny (text): Look I will consider doing this "mimeverse" IF we are able to negotiate time off between movies. We can talk more about it when I come back from DC.
Franklin then texts Johnny back the goat emoji as well a picture of an Oscar trophy. Johnny then gets two texts one from Imani the other from former NFL Quarterback turned superhero Flash Gordon.
Flash Gordon (text): Heard the news, r u ok? If you're still going to DC for the remembrance event. My team will be there u can meet Valiant. If u still want that?
Johnny (text): Ya man I'm good...Yes tell Valiant that I read all the stories and I want 2 embark on heroic quests and rescue damsels with him.
Flash Gordon (text): Haha you got it. Rick also says there are rumors of Ninja Mime making a comeback online is this true?
Johnny (text): No comment...
Johnny looks up from his phone to see Sonya looking at him with disdain.
Sonya: Nice of you to join the conversation Mr. Cage have you been paying attention to the conversation or on your phone talking to your agent and super models.
Johnny: I apologize General... I had to go over the press release about last night.
Sonya: Anyway as I was saying we won't be going straight to DC, were going to be investigating the corporate HQ of Cyberdyne Systems at the orders of Director Connor. Cyrax has detected encrypted communications within some of the AI programs. We are going to drop of one Cyrax's bug incognito, assess the threat level, and then we leave for DC.
Johnny: Excuse me general, this is a dumb question because I was on the phone but where is Mr. Roboto in all this?
Sonya: Cyrax is back at HQ currently working on the new body for Cave Johnson still, Raiden is at his temple, Stryker is in New York, Nightwolf hasn't answered my calls in the last two weeks, and our allies in the White Lotus are in China. I asked for Dr. Jack Ryan's assistance on this mission because we worked well together last time but according to Greer "he's busy"... No special team ups Mr. Cage, you good with that?
Johnny: Yes ma'am my apologies.
Sonya: The plan is as follows: Cassie and Jacqui you two will be on the rooftop of the building across it using it as a vantage point to provide cover fire for the stealth team which will consist of Kung Jin, P-Body, and Atlas. Takeda you will be here providing a telepathic distraction up front. I'll leave how you wish to do distract security. Any questions?
Johnny: Yeah, where am I in all this?
Sonya: With me in the jet standing by if anything goes wrong.
Johnny: Ah well alright then.
Pilot of the jet: We're approaching drop off zone, camouflage mode activated.
Before jumping out Kung Jin quickly changes into a steal suit that is all black, has a hood, and covers most of his face. The two former Aperture robots P-Body and Atlas put a small circular device on their wrists that changes their color from white to black. While three of them sneak into Cyberyne Systems through the rooftop vent. Cassie and Jacqui are dropped off at the other building and take sniper positions. Takeda then jumps out and heads to a different building Cassie and Jacqui. Takeda projects a telepathic image of Gorilla at the front door.
Takeda: Monkey see, monkey do... monkey make a full out of you.
The giant Gorilla then jumps through the front door and starts causing a ruckus in the lobby causing many armed security guards to try and subdue the ape.
Takeda: Brain to Robin Hood and his merry men, King Kong has the blonde I repeat King Kong has the blonde.
Kung Jin: Robin Hood to Brain, your code name sucks and were on our way to target. Snipers anything we should worry about.
Cassie: Copy Robin Hood this Blondie hallways are appear empty. Drone thermal scans confirm as much you are clear to exit vents.
Kung Jin: Fuck you both.
Kung Jin kicks open the ventilation shaft and is a large empty room with huge computer monitors on the walls with P-Body and Atlas following behind. The room is mostly gray and from the ground rises a computer terminal.
Kung Jin: General placing bug and headed back to roof top.
Sonya: Affirmative, team maintain position until stealth team is recovered.
Takeda: Hey are you guys seeing the light show?
Takeda sees what appears to be colorful energies rippling in the sky. Cassie, Jacqui, Sonya, and Johnny all look to see the same thing. A light then beams down crashing into the Cyberdyne building in the room where Kung Jin, P-Body, and Atlas is. Standing in this beam of light are three feminine silhouettes two of them holding heavy machine guns both wearing some kind of armor. One of them says where are "Where are we Kenneth?" and the other replies "I'm not sure Arthur". The light then dissipates revealing the daughters of BJ Blackowicz: Jess and Zophia Blackowicz along side their friend Abby Walker who is supporting an eye patch. The three of them look confused as they were back in home training and looking into possible Nazi cells in Texas.
Kung Jin raises his bow and takes aim while P-Body and Atlas flank them on the sides. Sophia and Jess raise their guns which causes both parties to enter a stand still.
Kung Jin: Guys we have company!
Cassie's drone scans the building and projects a hologram to Cassie and Jackie of Kung Jin is seeing.
Sonya: Kung Jin you and the robots need get out of there!
Kung Jin: What about these three general? Could be what Cyrax was worried about!
Abby: Look this all just a big misunderstanding, look you have access to teleportation maybe you could send us back?
Kung Jin: Sorry didn't summon you here and I'm not buying it. Put your guns down, now.
Zophia: How about you put your twig launcher and your robots put down there guns.
P-Body and Atlas' eyes look worried as they know their guns only shoot portals and not bullets. Kung Jin decides to maintain the bluff
Kung Jin: I like my odds now stand down.
There is then a loud thud that knocks down the door it a woman wearing black armor and black armored mask she is glowing green with her is another black armor wearing woman but she is wearing a metallic gauntlet glowing with purple energy. This is obviously Cassie Cage and Jacqui Briggs. A fire fight ensues, the power suits that Zophia and Jess are wearing activate their helmets just in time as Jacqui almost got a headshot on Jess. Abby runs to take cover and P-Body and Atlas quickly grab her and take her back to the jet which is currently hovering over Cyberdyne in Camouflage. Kung Jin shoots a fire arrow into Jess' shoulder which causes her to lose balance which gives Cassie enough to kick her into the wall and knock her down. Zophia tries to bull rush Kung Jin but Jacqui goes to clock her only for Sonya to come on over the radio.
Sonya: STOP! Takeda use that ape to cover their exit. Bring those two back up to the jet.
Takeda then uses this fake ape to have the security guards chase it to the other side of the building. Which gives everyone enough time to escape. They all meet in the jet and it takes off. The terror twins deactivate their helmets while Cassie, Jacqui, and Kung Jin all take off their masks. Sonya then walks out of the cockpit with Johnny Cage and Abby Walker.
Sonya: Young lady, would you like to tell them what you told us?
Flashback to five minutes ago in the jet, P-Body and Atlas are struggling to hold Abby but she breaks free from their hold only to be grabbed by Johnny.
Johnny: Hey take it easy young lady.
Abby: Fuck you, you nazi prick!
Abby then stomps on his foot and tries to run only to get a warning shot, she turns around to see Sonya with a pistol in hand.
Sonya: My next shot won't miss.
Abby then raises her hands and Sonya gets a good look at her glasses and the clothes she's wearing. A red vest over her denim button up and glasses that looked like they were from the 80s. Sonya heard the "Nazi" made by her to Johnny and she starts thinking about the weird energy in the sky and how when different worlds cross paths weird things happen.
Sonya: You mind telling me what year it is?
Abby: I'm sorry?
Sonya: . ?
Abby: Nineteen eighty-
Sonya: I'm just gonna stop you right there honey, what are your names.
Abby: Abby Walker and my friends Jess and Soph Blackowicz-
Sonya: Did you say Blackowicz?!
Back in the present everyone looks kind of dumb founded to what they just heard.
Jess: So what are you saying?
Sonya: I'm not sure how it's possible but I think you three are from a parallel Earth. Because on this Earth the Nazis don't have control over the entire continent of Europe, maybe a few towns in the deep the south but nothing insane. Also were not in the 80s as much as I wish that were the case.
Abby: So what happens now?
Sonya: Were going to a detour before anything else happens. Pilot! Activate the teleportation feature.
The pilot presses a button and they are teleported into a desert, they land on a runway into the hangar of the Special Forces. The large group walks out of the plane and someone walking by comments on the size of the group "Jesus, General Blade wants her own personal army". Sonya leads the group into the cybernetics lab where a mostly de-armored Cyrax is working on building Cave Johnson a new body.
Cyrax: I saw the bug was planted but I was under the impression I would be meeting you in DC general.
Cyrax then turns around to see the Terror Twins and Abby Walker standing alongside the team.
Cyrax: General, who are these young girls and why are they in my lab?
Sonya: Girls why don't tell Cyrax your name.
Jess: I'm Jessica
Zophia: Zophia, but I guess since were all friends you can call me Soph.
Sonya: Last names.
Zophia and Jess: Blackowicz?
Sonya nods at and Cyrax begins to type onto the gauntlet on his wrist and files upon files come up about BJ Blackowicz and he fought Nazis in Castle Wolfenstein during WW2 and lead critical victories during that war.
Cyrax: What does William Blackowicz have to do with these strangers standing in my lab?
Sonya: When I don't have a lot going on I like to read and with this job I get access to a lot of classified material, including William Blackowicz. Based off our brief conversation early I think these two young ladies are his daughters from another universe.
Cyrax: Uh huh and who is the other girl?
Abby: Abby Walker, my mom was Grace Walker.
Cyrax then begins to type up Grace Walker and files come up.
Cyrax: Says here your mom was a civil rights activist Marched with Dr. King and Malcom X. Interesting lady looks like they teach a course about your mom at FAMU on this Earth. So let me ask the big question... if you guys are from a parallel Earth how did you get here?
Abby: We don't know the one minute were on back home and looking into possible Nazi cells in Texas and the next thing we know were in "Cyberdyne".
Sonya: We don't have the tech here to determine what Earth you belong to. But were going somewhere that probably does.
Johnny: Were bringing them to DC?
Sonya: Johnny, they're going fight right in. Superheroes, Military Officials, and Law Enforcement from all over are coming to this to honor people who gave their lives. I wouldn't be surprised if Captain Rogers had a speech about Blackowicz and others he served with during the war.
Jess: Captain Rogers?
Zophia: You mean Captain America? He's alive?
Cassie: Welcome to the not dystopian version of Earth!
Sonya: Cyrax, get dressed were going to DC a little early.
A couple hours later flying over the Hall of Justice The Special Forces jet lands in the hangar. Exiting the jet is Sonya Blade's team and in the hangar waiting to greet them is the leader of the Justice League Superman and John Diggle.
Superman: General Blade, I'm glad you accepted the invitation but you're a little early. I'm surprised your team in full and I don't think I've met everyone.
Sonya: That's because these three girls aren't apart of my team. Long story short my team was doing recon and somehow these three young women got transported from a parallel version of Earth. I know your team on average deals with this different universe stuff more than anyone else so I thought you guys could help me narrow the search.
Superman: I mean we can try, finding one specific universe in the multiverse is like looking for a needle in a haystack but I think we can make some calls. If you all could just follow me and I'll take you to the meeting room.
Superman leads the team out of the hangar and into the Justice League's meeting room.
Superman: John, is Lyla at the house of heroes?
Diggle: She should be, She told me that Ellis wanted her help on some new machine. Can we give them a call from here?
Superman: We should be able to get a hold of them.
Superman goes through a couple different tabs and makes a call to a place called the House of Heroes and it starts ringing. Then on the screen President Calvin Ellis, the Superman of Earth 23 leader of his universe's Justice League and the virtual army of superheroes sworn to protect the multiverse at the House of Heroes. However those not in the Justice League are confused as they see a black man wearing a "Superman" costume.
Superman (Calvin Ellis): Hey Clark, I appreciate the call but I got to get back to the day job before anyone realizes I'm gone. Everything ok?
Superman (Clark Kent): Yes Mr. President everything is fine-
Cassie (murmuring to Jacqui): Mr. President?
Superman (Clark Kent): I'm calling because it has come to my attention that my Earth has just had a small incursion. These three young women are from a different Earth and somehow find their way here.
Superman (Calvin Ellis): Any ideas as to how that's possible?
Superman (Clark Kent): No leads yet but I was wondering if we could borrow whatever you use to determine who is from what universe?
A female voice is then heard from the back saying "We actually just finished working on it". The woman then comes into the view of the screen revealing Lyla Michaels AKA Harbinger.
Harbinger: President Ellis actually thought it would be a good idea if we had one back on how Earth. This device goes off the Monitor's labeling of the multiverse, wer'e currently working with the council of Reeds and a some other multiversal systems on getting some labeling systems just so we can be more accurate. But this is the most up to date model we have.
Superman (Clark Kent): Excellent how soon can you get here?
The secret teleportation machine in the room opens and over the PA system comes "Accessing Superman of Universe 23. Accessing Harbinger". The two of them are standing on the Zeta Beam platform with Calvin holding a large heavy circular machine.
Superman (Calvin Ellis): Good to see everybody, where's the lab? Let's go plug this bad boy in.
They take to the lab within the hall of Justice and place it down on the ground and hook it up their computers. Cyrax and Harbinger stand by the computer paying attention to the results
Harbinger: Alright, if you ladies could just step on the machine and then we can figure out where you guys are really from.
The three of them all walk up to the machine and it glows below them scanning their atomic structures trying to figure out what universe they belong to.
Jess: You think Arthur and Kenneth had weirder adventures happen to them that we didn't know about?
Zophia: Not a fuckin' chance
Zophia begins to laugh while others stand around looking at the lab and just absorbing the fact they are in the Hall of Justice. Calvin Ellis then walks up to Sonya Blade and shakes her hand.
Superman (Calvin Ellis): General Blade it's an honor to meet a version of you from here. Back home you're my Secretary of State and then back at the House of Heroes there a couple different versions of you. One universe you're a Green Lantern, another universe you're this all business no nonsense cyborg who took down the oppressive Black Dragon Regime in the states, and in another universe I think you're a ninja... that version of you isn't much of talker at meetings.
Sonya: Well it's an honor to meet you Mr. President and I'm flattered that you've worked with so many different versions of me.
Johnny: You met any different versions of me?
Superman (Calvin Ellis): Ummm I'm sorry are you Ninja Mime?
Johnny: Haha... yeah I guess I am.
Superman (Calvin Ellis): I've met him a couple different versions of him, anyways what's the deal with these young girls.
Sonya: According to my conversation with Abby, they're from a parallel Earth where the Nazis won World War 2.
Superman (Calvin Ellis): That narrows it down but not by much. You would be surprised as to how many universes there are where the Nazis have power.
Sonya: What about Nazi governments in the 80s?
Superman (Calvin Ellis): That might help narrow it down. Any results yet Lyla?
Harbinger: Based off the information we've punched in were getting the usual suspects Earth 10, Earth X, Earth XCW, and so on.
Superman (Calvin Ellis): I see, how much longer until we have some concrete results?
Cyrax: Gives us another five minutes and we should have something.
Superman (Calvin Ellis): Thank you Cyrax.
Superman (Clark Kent): You know you're more than welcome to stay for the memorial event today. I'm sure we could find a way to send you back before any one knows you were gone.
Superman (Calvin Ellis): I appreciate that Clark, I really do but I have a feeling that the media outlets you invited here today would be a lot more distracted by the other "Superman" who is also black and answers to Mr. President. I can watch the live stream when I get back, I have Brainiac tapped into the House of Heroes systems.
Superman (Clark Kent): Fair enough just wanted to extend the invitation.
Harbinger: That can't be right...
Diggle: What's wrong Lyla?
Diggle, Sonya, Johnny, and both Superman walk over to the computer to see what universe the three women belong to. All of them are surprised to see the results and silent because they are confused..
Zofia: So did you find home?...
Jess: Everything ok?
Cyrax: That shouldn't be possible. Maybe the systems need to be recalibrated or we can scan them each individually?
Harbinger: That wouldn't matter if they were each individually from different universes it would list each one of off. We just built this today.
Abby: What's wrong?
Superman (Clark Kent): Nothing is wrong, according to our systems... your universe is this one.
The group of heroes then moves out of the way so the girls can see on the computer screen "Three female humans. Monitor Designation: Universe-1".
