Gobta leaned back on his bed as he groaned and tugged his hair out of frustration. He was so close! But no, the triumph just wasn't meant to be. He was playing sea of thieves on his Xbox and was just about to finish a quest when a Kraken had appeared! And while it took him a while-his poor little sloop kept getting beaten-he did almost kill the Kraken. However, a gallon had arrived!

and slaughtered him

and took all his loot

It was so frustrating! It took him three hours to get that loot, yet he lost it within a matter of minutes! Sighing once again, Gobta backed out of the game and hopped on to YouTube to see if he could find anything funny that could calm him down

and if that doesn't work, he'll just watch one piece!

he still needed to finish that whole cake island arc damnit!

A cough escaped his sore throat as he scrolled through the videos while being sick has the perk of no school that also meant no outside activities which meant he had to stay in bed, and he was all for that-after all, why do something as horrendous as work when you could be lazy?- I mean tired, yes tired-but he would have enjoyed it more if he wasn't in hell right now

the sound of his bedroom door opening and closing brought Gobta's focus from his tv screen to his mother, who had apparently come up to check on him.

Shuna smiled as she walked to the edge of Gobta's bed "Hi honey" She kissed his forehead before putting her hand on it, there didn't seem to be a fever anymore, seeing how loud he yelled about some Kraken, treasure, and jerks just a few minutes ago

"Hey mom" Gobta sniffled, ugh he hated feeling so icky! Shuna giggled with amusement as she looked at her son's disgusted face. "Grandfather is here to see you," she said, watching how Gobta's completion suddenly turns as pale as a ghost.

"The old man?!" He yelled, terrified. Why was he here?!

"Who are you calling old?" a voice asked, frighteningly calm. Gobta froze. This was it; he was going to die... Oh great Veldora~sama why have you abandoned him so? There in the doorway was his grandfather Hakurou, holding some sort of package.

Despite his old age, he was fitter than all of Gobta and his friends combined, which made him extremely terrifying. At least to Gobta.

"Now, now, father. Gobta was only joking. I'll be in the kitchen if the two of you need anything, just call alright?" Shuna said, walking towards the door. "Will do"

She giggled. "Good" closing the door behind her, she was gone. Leaving the two men alone, Gobta gulped. Wondering how he could get out of this alive.

"I have a present for you." Said Hakurou, appearing near the bed holding out the package. Gobta blinked, disoriented. A present? From the old man? That was new... hesitantly Gobta grabbed the package and began opening it after muttering a quiet "thank you".

Inside was an old book titled "The Princess Bride"

Confused, Gobta tilted his head to the side. He never actually read a book unless he had to. Much less with one that had the words "Bride" and "Princess" in its title. He had no interest in romance, much preferring sports, games, and food.

But it was a present from his grandfather. Someone who rarely showed affection...

So, the fact he got him a gift when he was sick, even if it wasn't within his interests, was heartwarming.

Of course, he'd never say that to the old man. So, he opted for. "Eh? The old man is getting senile? Who would've thought!"

Whack!

Should've thought that one through...

Rubbing the sore bump on his head, he began to repeatedly say "Ow, sorry, ow!" 'Damn old man, why is your aim getting better and hits getting harder?! Shouldn't you be having a hard time with that?!' he internally yelled at the man now sitting on a chair next to the bed, book in hand.

"Milim was raised on a small far-"

"Ehhh!? Are you suddenly reading now?! Old man-"

"Old?"

"Uh- I mean- Grandfather- are you sure you're not dying of a mental illnes- AHHH! WAIT! WHERE'D YOU GET THAT SWORD?!"

"who's dying?!"

"W-wait! What about the original Intro?! GAHH!?"
