"I Cannot Pasio This Up!"
It hadn't been long since Ash met and helped Tina out. Upon first meeting, Pikachu defeated Tina's Flareon. He snapped at her trainer's supposed incompetence and came across Team Break. The tanned girl couldn't believe her Flame Pokémon, one she raised as an Eevee, lashed out after losing one battle. To Ash, Tina's Flareon was going through a phase. When Ash battled Team Break, Flareon saw the trainer's true feelings and returned to her side. Team Break's Crobat attacked Flareon, but Ash intercepted the attack. Seeing the lineup of Pokémon Ash had like Gengar, Lucario and Sirfetch'd; Team Break broke for the hills. Wandering around Pasio for some time, Tina thought about the bravery of Ash. "Flareon?" she called. Flareon turned to Tina, curious to why he was called upon.
("Master?") he returned. Tina reached and petted Flareon's cream-colored patch of fur on his forehead.
"Do you think… Ash is special?" The question made Flareon wonder himself. "After all, he did bring you back to me after you and I had a disagreement. He didn't need to take that attack for you." Flareon nuzzled Tina's bandaged knee. Tina looked to her Pokémon. "Flareon?" The Flame Pokémon lead Tina back to the Pokémon Center. Ash and Pikachu had a chance to meet others around Pasio like Bea.
"Your Lucario is a dangerous Pair Sync Combo to be cautious about," she remarked with an Australian accent.
"Believe me, it's not as in-sync as me and Pikachu," Ash disagreed. "I mean, I'd prefer this Misty over the one I know back in Cerulean City. This one's not as antsy over Bug-Type Pokémon." Some others in the lobby laughed to the inadvertent pun.
"That was hilarious!" chuckled Lyra. Ash itched his head, rather confused.
("They think you're funny,") Pikachu tried to clarify. That's when Flareon used Tackle on Ash, knocking down the trainer. Everyone gawked to the Pokémon attacking a trainer.
"Flareon?" a recovering Ash gasped. Tina saw her Pokémon on top of Ash. She became embarrassed to the sight.
"Oh no…" she mulled. "Flareon, off of Ash." Flareon complied and jumped off Ash. Tina helped Ash onto his feet. "Sorry about that."
"It's all good," Ash assured. "So… what's up, Tina?" He dusted himself from any dirt he gathered from Flareon's Tackle.
"Are you going back to Kanto?" she asked.
"Not quite," Ash denied. "I got another day to train before some more preparation before the Masters Eight Tournament in Wyndon." Tina clapped her hands once, forming a prayer.
"That's good. I wanted to have you join a little longer after you won against Scottie in the Single Master Challenge Cup with that Ten Million Volt Thunderbolt." The confession surprised Ash.
"You did, huh? What did you have in mind?" Rather than suggest anything, Tina turned and wagged her finger to have Ash and Pikachu join. With a shrug, Ash and Pikachu followed Tina and Flareon at the tail end as they all exited from the Pokémon Center. They journeyed the village nearby. They sat at a café where they enjoyed a latte.
"So, I'm still impressed with what you did to bring Flareon back to his senses." Her Flareon barked in appraisal. "Not to mention how you took that attack from Crobat." Ash sighed to Tina's recalling of the situation.
"I believe it's the second time that a Pokémon struck me with an attack. After I got Infernape as a Chimchar, wild Zangoose were on a fury, and I took a Scratch attack on the shoulder. Of course, I've been traveling so long, I do forget sometimes."
"Wow, you're tougher than I would've wanted you to be." Her awe made Ash's eyebrow slightly spring.
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"I mean that I saw you as someone like Paulo and Brendan, not like Lieutenant Surge." The information made Ash realize.
"Oh, that's what you mean… I'm often underestimated just as myself."
"Yeah, sorry if that sounded wrong." They laughed to Tina's mistake. That's when Flareon sensed something coming. A fishing net zoomed out of nowhere, but the Flame Pokémon tackled Pikachu out of the way. Ash and Tina leaped to their feet, upset at the disruption.
"Oh, don't tell me…"
"Prepare for trouble, like we let this Pasio," Jessie punned.
"Make it double, we prefer the watch like Casio," James added. Meowth entered, smacking the two humans in the head with a mallet.
"Did youse have ta put in a product placement!?" he snapped. Tina irked at hearing a Pokémon talk. "Jeez, I know we's hurtin' fer money, but dat's not how we do tings." After the bonks to the head, Jessie and James dunked Meowth back down.
"Like you know how to make any money!" complained Jessie. She reset herself before turning to Ash, Tina and the Pokémon. "Now, let's teach these twerps a lesson with our Team Rocket Prize Master!" She and James waived their arms up, anticipating Pelipper… but Pelipper didn't show up. The trio looked back, wondering where the Water Bird Pokémon was. "Pelipper?"
"That's strange…" gawked James.
"It didn't drop da Prize Master, right?" wondered Meowth.
"Ze Pelipper iz captured, Méchants!" sounded Professor Bellis. Everyone turned to the region's professor who stood alone.
"What did she call us!?" argued Jessie. James gawked before turning around.
"We got bigger problems than that professor!" he warned. Jessie heard the warning, but Ash took action.
"Pikachu, Electroweb!" ordered Ash. Agreeing, Pikachu launched and caught Team Rocket with Electroweb, even as Wobbuffet popped out. Team Rocket was ensnared and shocked.
"Flareon, Fire Spin!" commanded Tina. Flareon launched Fire Spin, engulfing the group. Bellis watched as Ash, Tina and the Pokémon nodded to a finish. "Use Mystical Fire!"
"And you use Thunderbolt, Pikachu!" added Ash. Flareon and Pikachu launched their attacks, roasting and zapping the group. Then, an explosion. Team Rocket flew from the blast.
"WE'RE BLASTING OFF AGAIN!" they cried as they flew out of sight… or so they thought. Out of nowhere, Zinnia's Rayquaza caught them before returning them to a cage. Zinnia and Bellis reached the cage.
"Look at that," Zinnia sneered at Team Rocket. "Three Rockets that ran out of gas."
"And now, we can take zis group to le prison," Bellis added. Jenny and a few other policemen raced to the cage and dragged it away with Team Rocket screaming for freedom. Ash, Tina and the Pokémon laughed to the chaos they prevented. At the lounge, Ash was with Blue and how he's related to Gary.
"Hey, he's got a new career path," Blue mentioned, his Pidgeot nearby. "Red has been watching you for some time. He thinks of you as a great challenge."
"Red does, huh?" awed Ash.
"For sure. He still believes there are stronger trainers in the world. He watched your Sirfetch'd beat that trainer's Solgaleo, even though it couldn't continue."
"It does take a lot of effort. I do hope we have a chance to battle like you said." The acknowledgment had Blue nod before retreating. Ash headed out of the lodge, his last night before he and Pikachu started preparations for Wyndon and the Masters Eight, the goal being to face and defeat Leon to become the Pokémon Master. They left for the hotel they stayed at. "I know this place has no wild Pokémon, but Goh might be interested. You think Professor Cerise and Chloe might have an interest?"
("Not sure…") shrugged Pikachu. They didn't get far as Tina and Flareon arrived and walked up to them.
"Ash!" she called. Ash looked ahead before spotting Tina and Flareon. When she arrived, she tore off Ash's cap.
"Hey!" he snapped before Tina grabbed his head and pulled him in. She kissed Ash on the lips and her foot kicked up. Pikachu and Flareon gawked to the kiss. She broke and saw the stunned face of Ash.
"This place may be artificial… but what I gave you was genuine. I wanted to give it to you after you helped me and Flareon come back together." She kissed some more, her tongue licking around Ash's. The tanned redhead hooked her leg around Ash's in the midst of the kiss. After a while, she broke free. Ash smiled among his blushing face.
"Tina…" Finally, he nodded. "Okay… I'll share my last night with you."
"I thought you would say that." They headed to the hotel room which they shared a bed together. Tina had her tank top and shorts on as her orange shoes were by Ash's. Pikachu and Flareon slept nearby. To Ash, his training in Pasio ended. His trip to become the Pokémon Master awaited. Tina found herself a boy that she didn't want to Pasio up, no matter what how bad the pun sounded. 'Ash, become the master.'
(That's it for the one-shots. I'll be returning to my stories with AshMas soon following. I want to give my condolences to the family of Queen Elizabeth II)
