The city of Tremorton celebrates its tricentennial of the cities founding near the edge of an earthquakes fissure crack, the mayor unveiled on top of a large column; an archaic Richter scale to commemorate the anniversary. Unknown to the town; Jenny was fighting Vexus and a few of her soldiers, before they could encroach closer to town.
"This has to be your most pathetic attempt, yet, Vexus," Jenny smirked while holding most of her soldiers in a crumpled ball.
"Pathetic‽ I'll get you and this planet soon enough, Jenny," she growled.
Jenny simply tossed her goons at her, knocking her from her floating pedestal, grabbing one drone who snuck up behind her.
"How's this for pathetic," Vexus launched a missile towards town.
"Would you just give it up, already," Jenny ripped the drone in half, took chase of the missile.
Jenny rode the missile through town back and fourth, showboating, sending Brad in a panic, desperately thinking he could help her.
"Run for your lives," Tuck screamed.
"Jenny, I'm coming," he hopped on a motorcycle displayed for free rides.
"Brad… you're not- ouch," she winced when he whiskey throttled the bike in to a telephone pole, "built for this kinda stuff.
The crowd was in a slight panic, Jenny aimed the missile to the sky to blow it up.
"Laser proof, huh? Guess we're doing it the hard way," she dodged some of her reflected back lasers, flew inside the engine.
Blowing up the missile from the inside, Jenny looked rather proud of herself, parts and pieces rained down from above, sending people in to a bigger panic, as the town square is destroyed; no more balloons, concessions, free booth giveaways, such as folding fans, can coozies, and ink pens, one or two billboards took heavy damage.
"Enjoy the fireworks," she landed, playing with the warhead, before tossing it far away.
"Very nice, but did you destroy the warhead," Nora asked.
"The what?"
"That thing you were just playing with, that goes boom!"
"Uhhhhhh…," she quickly flew after it.
Nora rolled her eyes with a grimace and disgruntled sigh.
Jenny quickly tracked it down reading it's trajectory with intents to catch it before it lands in the fissure, exploding, the momentum taking her in the giant crack with it, triggering its arming sequence.
"No biggie, it's not the first Cluster bomb I've diffused," she pulled out a pair of wire cutters, "all I need to do, to diffuse this; is cut this wire."
Before she could cut the wire, the warhead went off with such force, Jenny was pushed back to town square, extending the fissure right to city hall, exacerbating the damage she had already done.
Vexus hovered over greatly irrated, "What… not one damn scratch‽ That's it, I've tried everything; giant bots, nanobots, Smytus, Krakus… acne- guess I gotta be a bitch, if I can't bring you to the cluster; I'll bring the cluster to you," she pulled a lever, disappeared through the teleporter beam on her floating pedestal.
"Yeah, whatever," she kicked the device in to a pile of junk.
"You're a menace, you've ruined everything," the mayor shouted.
"What is wrong with you, you destroyed my stand!"
"Dumb bitch!"
"What good are you, breaking more things, than you save‽"
"I spent all night baking for this!"
"We knew something like this would happen… she's worse than the villains she protects us from," Britt sneered.
"But… but…," Jenny started.
"My motorcycle, you owe me a new motorcycle!"
"Uh… that was me," Brad admitted.
"Oh, never mind, then."
Brad looked confused.
"Jenny you really screwed this one up, a real hero does not showboat, danger is not a plaything! This could've been far worse, people could've been killed," Nora scolded.
"But I saved everybody!"
"And look at what you saved! Just because a task might seem easy, doesn't mean you can play around and show off, XJ-9, there were lives at stake, lives you were playing with, as well!"
Jenny looked at the destruction and angry people with a sullen face.
"You have to be better than this," Nora shook her head, "I didn't build you to show off, I'm disappointed in you."
"And you have to clean all of this up," the mayor snapped, storming over, yelling up to her face.
After cleaning everything up, depression set in, still thinking about how everybody was angry at her.
"I'm so useless, I just can't seem to do anything right! I'm as useful as this broken Richter scale," she tossed over her head, "I'll never fit in and be popular, I'm just a fucking screw up, no matter how hard I try! I wish I could just go away… disappear."
The broken Richter scale hit the handle to Vexus pedestal activating the teleporter, the light caught her attention, she peeked over the edge, to get sucked in the beam, fighting to get free, ultimately being pulled in as the pile she was standing on, got sucked in with her.
"Jenny, we came to help you clean up," Brad yelled with Tuck and Sheldon in tow.
"I thought she'd be here, I coulda sworn I heard her talking to herself," Sheldon said.
"Well… it's not going to clean itself," Tuck tossed some junk over the edge with his snow shovel, damaging the control on the pedestal, shorting it out.
Jenny fell through some warp tunnel, the junk not too far behind. Landing with a thud, the junk fell on top of her, damaging one of her pigtails. Gathering herself, she was spooked by damaged dead robots, arming herself for safty, before caught by a magnet and dropped on a conveyor belt, finding she was in some sort of junkyard. She tried to fly away from the worker drones that were most likely trying to help her, as her jets malfunctioned, nearly losing her life before somewhat landing to safety. She ended up being snatched by some odd looking large robot with a menacing smile, who tossed her in a waiting van.
"Welp… you wanted away from earth… welcome to Cluster Prime," she thought to herself, before the van sped off.
Back on earth, Nora's global alarm system was going off.
"What is it, is it Jenny," Brad asked.
"No it isn't. I haven't been able to track her location at all," she looked at a monitor, "this is a lot worse than Jenny disappearing.
Jenny was tossed out of the van by another similar looking robot, must be Cluster police.
"There ya go, right were you belong," he glared with his large face.
Jenny looked at the building, "a high school? Do you even know who I am?"
"Of course I do; you're one of the delinquents around here who likes to cut school, and get in trouble, all teens must go to school by order of queen Vexus."
"She's the education monarch, it's for your own good," the other said in a more friendly tone.
"All right, in ya go," the other pushed her.
She walked inside to see travel tubes, group charging stations, a robot drinking from an oil fountain, as she was escorted to a classroom lead by what looked like a large stationary teaching robot permanently part of the classroom, with students around it.
"Keep a close eye on this one here," the officer said.
"Don't worry officer, nothing gets past my optical sensors," it explained as something was thrown at it's face, "who threw that‽"
The officer rolled his eyes and walked out, Jenny took a seat among the strange robots, seeing one seemingly friendly face from a girl that seems more like her, than the seemingly utilitarian or spare parts looking robot teens, gave Jenny a smile and wave, which she returned.
"She's kinda cute," they both thought.
"Wait… did I really just think that," she frowned, "c'mon bolt brain, I need to stay focused and get out of here, before they figure out who I am, escape this crazy ass planet," she continued her inner monolog.
The bell rung signaling class to let out, Jenny was surprised to see the teacher jump down from it's pedestal, blabbing about a nap in the teachers lounge. Making sure the coast was clear; went to make her escape, staying out of sight, seeing the door was blocked by a locked barred gate, turned her legs in to a drill to bore under it, coming on the other side with a triumphant laugh.
"Hey, you're that new kid," a voice said.
Jenny turned in surprise to see the gate just swung right open, and it was that girl from class.
"It's that new kid I was telling you about," she said to her friends, "what's with the hole, new kid?"
"I was ummm… digging for worms- mecha… worms, for mecha nano worms.. for biology class…?"
"Oh, you're one of those back to basics, treehugger hippies, huh? That's cool. My names Vega, this is Drab…"
"Hey," he greeted.
"Shell."
"H-hello."
"And this is Tuff."
"Hey, how ya doing?"
"We're going downtown, wanna come?"
"Are you sure it's safe," Jenny wondered.
"Don't worry; I'll make sure Tuff keeps his rototreads to himself," she made the other two laugh.
They made their way to the bus and Jenny could see the city in the distance.
"This is Cluster Prime," she looked baffled.
"Never been to a robotropolis before, you must be from the sticks… after you," she smacked her butt, pushing her on the bus. "Nice," she thought to herself.
