Off the bus, Jenny walked with the teens, taking in the sights; large buildings, robo birds, robots out and about, she even petted some barking toaster, gave them a slight surprise when toast popped up. Vega watched her be amazed at the sight of everything. They all went to the museum, the first time Jenny found one remotely interesting, they watched a picture changing display with odd paintings, when it stopped on one that was seemingly done on earth, Vega looked confused, Jenny looked at her and couldn't help but laugh, thinking the look on her face was rather cute. They checked out the hall where the Cluster evolution was displayed, starting with ancient schematics on stone and brass looking tablets, solar powered steam robots, one which waved at Jenny, making her jump, this time it was Vegas turn to laugh, while Jenny blushed, her friends picked up on this, Shell saw Vegas hand twitch, like she wanted to hold Jenny's.
Shell nudged Drab and Tuff, pointed to the two girls growing nervous to each other throughout the place. They walked through areas of artifacts and trophies of conquered and destroyed planets that were claimed to try and take over and rule Cluster Prime over the centuries, but Jenny couldn't keep her eyes off Vegas slim, curvy figure, while she prattled on. Drab took notice, tracking Jenny's eyes, giving Tuff a smirk.
"What is this weird feeling, this place seems like robot Shang Ri La, and Vega… she's so… so… I don't understand- she makes me feel like my processors are overclocked, and she's standing so close to me," Jenny thought.
"You guys wanna check out the- oof! My bad," Tuff backed in to Jenny.
Jenny wasn't paying attention and about fell over, when Vega caught her, holding her waist and hand, both girls blushed.
"You okay… umm… Jenny?"
"Th-th-thank you, Vega, yeah, I-I'm, f-fine," Jenny looked at their fingers entwined, and blushed.
"S-sorry, I-,"
"It… it's fine…"
"Sorry, I should've been paying attention," Tuff admitted.
Vega scowled a little, letting go of Jenny's hand, "you need to get your sensors calibrated, you almost knocked her over.
Drab watched Jenny look at her now empty hand, still blushing.
"It's okay… accidents happen, boy do I know it," Jenny blurted, "is… that a hall for Vexus?"
Vega gave her a warm smile.
"Yes it is, let's go check it out, Drab shoved her that way.
"You like this girl, don't ya," Shell asked.
"Is it that obvious," she glanced over at Jenny.
"As obvious as your ten percent raise in body temperature…"
Vega looked nervous.
"…and hers too."
"Really… I didn't notice."
Drab was telling Jenny about how Vexus came to be, with those that ruled before her, she was barely paying attention, too busy thinking about Vega and looking at her hand.
"It's pretty interesting, huh," Vega walked up.
"Yeah… it is," she briefly locked eyes with her.
"Real amazing stuff," Vega turned towards the large statue of Vexus.
Jenny sighed internally at the sight of her, with the strong sensation of wanting to hold her hand again, these feelings are those in which she never felt before, not even for any boy she had a crush on, and she didn't understand it, what she was feeling was beyond her programming, "aren't I designed to like boys," she thought to herself.
"I'm getting bored, how about we go see a movie," Vega suggested.
"I could go for a movie," Jenny answered so demure.
"My treat, then," Vega smiled.
They looked at the list of playing movies at the counter.
"So… newbs pick," she nudged Jenny.
"Umm… surprise me."
This made Vega smile, "I know one you may like."
"We'll leave you ladies to it, you can get your romance on- three tickets to Action Robo," Shell said.
"Looks like it's just us girls," Vega smiled.
"Enjoy your date," Drab leaned in to Vegas audio receptor.
"What'd he say," Jenny asked.
"Nothing! He's just being weird," she grabbed their tickets, "let's go," she grabbed her hand and ran off.
"We're the best wingmen, ehh, fellas," Drab boasted proudly.
In the theater Jenny and Vega sat next to each other, both trying to stay calm.
"Thanks guys, I was hoping to get some alone time with Jenny," Vega thought.
Jenny kept stealing glances at Vega, "it's just me and Vega now… okay… this isn't bad… in fact; I kinda like it- why do I like it, why do I wanna touch her? Oooohh, get it together Wakeman," she thought to herself.
"Jenny, you're the most beautiful girl I've ever seen, is what I wish I could say. I don't even know if she even likes girls, who am I kidding‽ I need to try, though," Vega thought.
One point in the movie was a cute "aww" moment.
"Awww," they both cooed," tilting their heads, clanking against each other.
"Sorry," they both said, blushing.
"I-it's fine," they said together, they tried to turn away, but Vegas antenna was hooked in Jenny's pigtail.
"Oh, I think-," Vega started.
"I got it," Jenny tried to unhook her, pressing their cheeks together, "oh… umm… here we go… sorry," Jenny freed Vegas antenna.
"It's fine, no damage done," she blushed, "I didn't… mind…?"
"O… kay," Jenny blushed.
"Didn't mind… what kinda response was that- ugh… embarrassing," she thought, but she looked at Jenny back in to the movie, "she felt so warm, and that was almost a cuddle."
The movie went on, both of them are trying hard to pay attention.
"I just met her and I'm already crazy about her," Vega thought.
The most heartfelt scene started, both girls really locked in to it, subconsciously both reach for the center armrest, their hands tapped each other with a quiet ting, slowly repositioning until they were holding hands, and their fingers were interlocked.
After a few minutes, Jenny happened to glance down at Their hands, "her hands are so small and dainty compared to mine. I'll just pretend I don't notice," she thought, not wanting to let go, "I… like this, for some reason."
They held hands for the rest of the movie, Vega thought to herself; "she's still holding my hand!"
At the end of the movie, they were ready to leave during the credits, Vega pretended that she just realized they were holding hands.
"Sorry… I didn't notice… I hope I didn't weird you out."
"N-no! No… you didn't, Vega… it was… nice- the movie; it was nice," Jenny looked around, blushing.
"I guess I should let go now," Vega looked visibly upset, pulling her hand free.
"I… guess," Jenny nervously rubbed her bicep.
They walked back up front meeting with the guys.
"How was the movie, you two," Tuff asked.
"It was great, I loved it," Vega replied.
"Was it… romantic enough, for ya," Shell teased.
Vega looked at Jenny, "yes… it was," she made Jenny blush.
"Well, we'd better get going, that homework isn't going to do it self. See ya later, Vega… Jenny," Drab said.
"Um… bye guys," Jenny waved as they left.
"You wanna hang a bit more?"
"Sure."
They found themselves in a park as the sun started to set, sitting by a tree.
"So Jenny; what do you think?"
"It's beautiful… some kinda robot paradise."
"Yeah, it's pretty cool, I liked hanging out with you."
"I liked hanging out with you, too."
"Just tell her how you feel, what's wrong with you," Vega thought. "Jenny, I umm… I'm happy you're here, I feel like.."
"It's just, at first I didn't wanna be here, and now I don't wanna leave. It's weird."
"I don't want you to leave either," she put her hand on Jenny's knee.
"It's just in my old town… the school, the people…"
"Didn't fit in at your old school, huh?"
"No," she got up, "and my mom…"
"Ugh, don't talk to me about mothers, my mom; she's a real tyrant, the way she carries on, pushing me in school, and with family duties," she stood up, and walked to Jenny.
"Family duties," Jenny muttered.
"I think… more days like this… me and you…"
"Yeah?"
"I'm just going to throw it out there," she got closer to Jenny.
"Oh my, she's so close, we could," Jenny's thought trailed off.
"I… I d-don't know how to put this," she started to blush, "may… maybe I can just- I want to…"
