Their bodies started to glow bright, so bright, Jenny had to shield her eyes.
"Wait… that's it," Drab looked confused.
Suddenly the air force came swooping in.
"Quick, activate your defense mechanisms," Jenny cried.
"Defense mechanisms… okay," Drab thought.
Suddenly two blasters came from his hands, he cheered, kicking his wheel in high gear, firing at the swarm, not hitting a single one.
"Typical," Tuff rolled his eyes.
"Don't shoot me, don't shoot me," Shell cried, inadvertently activating force fields, blocking swarm fire.
Vega's arm vibrated, releasing a sword, charged with energy, she leapt up and sliced a few foot soldiers. Two more aimed their rifles from behind, Tuff activated rocket boosters and flew at them, Shell was making great use of his force fields, deflecting and smashing, having trouble much to his chagrin to find any other weapons. Jenny's too weak to help, ready to pass out.
Vega rushed to her side, "we gotta get you out of here," she picked her up.
Drab rolled up a few buildings, "time to do this; Drab style," he boasted, taking out the swarm with scattershot volleys, while Tuff launched missiles from his wings.
Vega took Jenny to a recharge booth, "are you okay?"
"Barely, thanks to you all."
"I thought I had lost you, I can't believe my mom was shoveling that XJ-9 is evil shit, down our throats, and I fell for it! Jenny I'm sorry," she hugged her, "I almost lost the best thing I could ever want! If the other robots knew the truth; they'd rise up against her."
"But Vega, that's your mom."
"There must be something making her do it, or somebody. I know I said she doesn't understand me, but I never thought she was pure evil. We do need to get the word out, and I think I know how. I can't have my girlfriend public enemy number one!"
"Awww," Jenny cooed.
Sheldon chased Vexus back to Cluster Prime.
"We're losing her, Nora we need more power!"
"Activating secondary boosters… and please, call me Misses Wakeman."
"Oh no! She's gone, she's going to get to Jenny first- unless…"
"Oh no, sending humans through a Cluster multilateral vortex could bring incalcuable-"
"Let's do it," he aimed the ship through the vortex.
Smytus laughed as he had Brad by the collar, "pathetic sack of fllesh!"
"We always knew he would be a trouble maker," Brit smiled, hugged up with a soldier.
"Exactly, he cain't be trusted," Tiff agreed.
"Both of you are traitors to this city, your kind, and this planet," Brad yelled at them.
"As long as we're on the winning team," Brit shrugged.
"Now it's time to meet your doom, meat bag," he snarled, lifted Brad over his head.
"Hey," Tuck came from nowhere, "he's no meat bag, he's sixty-five percent water- if you wanna take him out, your gonna hafta go through me, first."
"You just cannon fodder, ya lil brat," Tiff snapped.
"He is," Smytus laughed, "two birds with one rivet!"
One more kid walked up.
"I guess it's three birds, then… four birds… six…," he grew nervous.
"What's it gonna be, ya bucket of bolts," Tuck sneered.
Vegas taking Jenny to a broadcast tower
"There, up at the top!"
"The antenna?"
"Yeah if we tap in to it, we can broadcast the truth to the entire planet."
"But I don't have enough power to get up there, even if I could fly," she frowned.
"Well, maybe I can."
Vega took Jenny's hand, they leaped in to the air, just to belly flop back on the ground.
"Try using your boosters."
"Oh, right," she gave an embarrassed smile.
Vega scooped Jenny in her arms, fired up the boosters in her feet to get off the ground.
"My hero," Jenny kissed her, making Vega blush.
"I've got wings, too, neat," she gasped when they popped out, beating furiously to the top of the tower.
Jenny ripped off a cover on the antenna, plugged herself in, turning a hand in to a news style camcorder, "smile, we're live in three, two, one!"
Vege took a breath, "robots of Cluster Prime, you've been deceived, Jenny…. XJ-9 did not destroy the chips We've been lied to by our leaders, XJ-9 is not our enemy, also it wasn't very cool attacking your princess… just saying. If XJ-9 was the enemy; I wouldn't have fell-," she got interrupted.
"But she is mine," Vega leapt from her ship, tackling Jenny.
"Mom stop!"
"Not now honey… mommies working," she growled.
"Release my brother, you overgrown garbage disposal," Tuck ordered.
"Oh, I'm soooo scared- the hairless monkeys have gathered together, what am I to do? So you refuse to go back to work?"
"Yeah," the crowd shouted.
"You refuse to be enslaved?"
"Yeah!"
"And you'll stand together until my armies are defeated and the earth is free?"
"Yeah!"
"Fine," he tossed Brad to Tuck, "have it your way… all troops, back to your ships," he sped off on some hover vehicle.
"Well… that was easy," some citizen claimed, with mass agreement.
"Clean up our fallen comrads, we can't risk the humans getting our tech," Smytus instructed a giant robot.
"Yes sir."
"Prepare to destroy the planet!"
The cheering stopped, once everybody heard that, replaced with confusion, then panic.
"Hey, where's everybody going," Brad yelled.
Before they knew it, they were vacuumed up with the in operational drones, transported to Cluster Prime.
"Mother stop," Vega yelled as Vexus and Jenny tussled on the ground.
Vexus broke free to gain some distance from Jenny, both on their feet, squared up.
"Finally you're right where you belong! I'm going to beat your censors senseless and reprogram you in to my personal drone!"
"No you're not," Vega ran between them, "you'll do… no such thing, to my… my," she gathered herself, "girlfriend!"
"Your… what," Vexus was confused.
"You heard me."
Vexus calmed down, they didn't notice a few security bots floated up there recording them.
"Y-you… and XJ-9… are dating," she walked closer to her daughter.
"Yeah, and I love her mom, I stand with her."
"Well isn't that cute," she feigned a motherly pride, before smacking her across the face, "how dare you pick the enemy," she growled, kicking her in the chest, "my own daughter!"
"I'm finally here Vexus, just like you wanted, and see what happens," she pointed to the drones hovering.
Vexus looked at them showing the live feed, then heard the crowd chanting; "down with Vexus," Jenny rushed over with an uppercut, Vexus caught herself by flying up.
"How dare you," Vexus landed behind her, throwing kicks and punches, "this is my planet," she caught Jenny just before she dropped, "I am it's queen," she pulled Jenny to her face.
"Mother, she's not the enemy," Vega exclaimed.
"I'm going to make you a permanent part of Cluster Prime," she held Jenny over the side of the building.
"Mother stop! I love her!"
"I'll deal with you when I'm done," she growled
