Secret Crisis: Battleworld Chapter 5
Miguel O'Hara called forth the Spider-verse together for their part in Operation: SECRET WARS. Annie-May, Peter-3, Miles, Gwen, Peter-4 and Peter-2 assembled once again.
"Guys? What's going in here?" Asked Annie-May.
"Our part in Operation: SECRET WARS. Which involves getting your dad back Annie-May." Explained Miguel.
"It's more complicated than that" said a voice coming from the shadows.
"Wait. Oliver?" Annie-May asked confused.
"You're all a part of an interconnected multiverse far greater than our existing one. The Spider-verse itself. You Seven are part of the key to bringing back Peter-1." Explained Oliver.
"How so?" Asked Miles.
Oliver then takes the seven to a realm beyond Battleworld that isn't affected. The realm of Madame Web.
"Took you long enough Mr. Queen" said Madame Web spinning her chair around to the group.
"Who the hell are you?" Asked Annie-May.
"Anna-May Parker. Miles Morales. Gwen Stacy, Miguel O'Hara. You five have unknowingly and already done your contribution. You've brought forth Peter Parkers of other universes." said Madame Web.
"What's that's supposed to mean?" Asked Peter-2
"And how do we factor into this?" Asked Peter-3
"I'm so glad you've asked. Allow myself to explain. But I'll need some help."
Madame Web calls forth from the web of the Spider-verse to bring champions holding Strange artifacts.
"Spider-Man Noir"
"Spider-Ham"
"Peni Parker and SP/Dr"
"Ben Reilly and Kaine Parker. The Scarlet Spider"
"Julia Carpenter. The Spider-Woman
"Miles Morales is already familiar with the first three. However these Web warriors exist within the Spider-verse and come from different Earths. There's countless more too. But your Peter Parker won't be the only Spider-Man in his universe when this is said and done. Each of these hold powerful artifacts that maintain the very web that binds everything together. Spider-Totems that refers to a class of Multiversal and supernatural entities created by the Elder Goddess Neith. All linked to a mystical and powerful force called The Web of Life and Destiny. Each of these Totems are derived from God who chose Avatars worthy of maintaining the Web. The death of your father Annie-May caused a great rift as the Web slowly becomes undone. These Totems are needed for a ritual to bring restore your father's body to the moment of his death. Once you have completed the ritual you only have but a brief moment to implant Eddie Brock's Symbiote to restore his life functions. However, there is a catch, these totems must be held by six different Peter Parkers from other universes. Peter-2, 3 and 4 already make up half of what you need. However Peter's 5 and 6 are elsewhere. Peter 5 The Spectacular Spider-Man on his earth. And Peter 6, the Spider-Man with radioactive Spider Blood from a timeline so long ago. Find them and you will have the six to complete the ritual." Explained Madame Web.
"Um. I just did the math, that would make 5 of us. Not six." said Peter-4.
"Ah. But you forget. Annie-May is a descendant of Peter-1. She is his blood. Therefore she makes the sixth. Now. Allow me to explain these Totems. The Great Weaver, The Gatekeeper, The Other, The Bride, The Scion, and The Patternmaker. Protect these totems with your life if need be. The fate of the Web and the Multiverse depends on your success and of the resurrection of your Peter Parker. Good luck."
Madame Web returns the group back to Battleworld in a blinding white light.
"Now do you all understand the stake of this mission?" Asked Oliver.
The Spider-verse held the mysterious totems looking at them with a reinvigorated feeling of success on their side.
"Yeah. We're gonna bring my dad back and we're gonna kick Kang's ass!" said Annie-May.
"We're all in this together." said Miguel.
The Spider-verse all put their hands together on a circle of unity with hope on their hearts because that's what Spider-Man has.
"Good luck." said Oliver taking his leave.
The Baxter Building,
"Thank you all for coming. Barry Allen and Peter-3 have been planning this for a very long time. The incursions caused by Battleworld will remain permanent if we don't defeat Kang. But then pegs the question of how do we even restore it?" Reed Began.
"That however falls into the hands of The Scarlet Witch. Who unfortunately is what is powering Battleworld and Kang of his power. And also the Venom Symbiote." Sue Storm continued.
"Which from what I understand, your idea to break into Kang's Fortress is to have Antman and his team steal the Symbiote and also free Wanda." said Reed.
"Without alerting Kang's Law enforcement" said Sue.
"That's right. But first we liberate our Superman and Supergirl from Warworld and the some of the Avengers." Explained Barry.
"Only problem is, we're so few in number" said Carol Danvers.
"Yeah, it's not exactly a fair fight bub" said Logan.
"It's better than nothing. Sometimes you gotta start small before you can go anywhere." said Eddie.
"Only thing is that you won't be alone." said Natasha.
"Indeed. Natasha tells me, she's got a secret Black Ops team already scouting Warworld as we speak." Explained Reed.
"Yelena called in some old favors with bringing back some Thunderbolts for this Op. Intel suggests Clark, Kara, Sam, Bucky, Kamala, Dinah, Laurel, are among the ones trapped." said Natasha
"We gotta get them out of there." said Barry.
"If we're gonna need some help, some of us are gonna need to stop by over at Gotham, Freeland, and Blue Valley." said Moon Knight.
"Jefferson, Ryan, J'onn and Courtney are probably gonna want in on this. Especially after how we already countless others that day." Explained Barry.
"If this is gonna take all of us, then we get whoever we can. Every able body. But we're gonna need to break down that barrier without anyone noticing." said Matt.
"That's were a mutual friend in Gotham comes in" said Reed as he pulls up a screen with an incoming transmission.
"Hello everyone"
"Bruce?" Asked Sara.
"Indeed it is. I assume you remember my friends?"
"The Justice League of Earth-1?"Asked Barry.
"Myself, our Clark, Diana, Arthur, Billy, Our Barry and Victor all at your service."
"Okay so what's the first step?" Asked Jessica Jones.
"Once you have assembled your team, come to Gotham. We'll rendezvous together as Victor will boomtube through the dome as you head straight to Warworld." Explained Bruce.
"They'll be a lot of resistance" said Luke Cage.
"That brings me to my next point. Some of you will need to cause a distraction until Victor can find a suitable dumping zone for Kang's forces. I can't guarantee everyone will make it out together but only the people on board the Waverider once it goes through." Explained Bruce.
"So you're saying it's a one way trip out?" Asked Barry.
"No. Just buy Victor some time so the fight doesn't turn into casualties. Make your teams. Figure out show staying and who's going by the time you all get to Gotham. Batman out"
