Secret Crisis: Battleworld Chapter 8 Gotham City
The Waverider lands at the coordinates Batman gave the team. In front of the Hall of Justice that's part of the merged Earth-1.
Both teams met face to face for the first time in a long time.
"Good to see you again Barry" said Bruce.
"Everyone ready?" Asked Barry.
"You need to understand once we start the fuse, the firecracker will go off." Explained Bruce.
"We're ready" said Sara.
"Lance? Thought you were dead" said Bruce.
"Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated. Now let's go!" said Sara.
"Victor?"
"Ready to go on my end" said Victor.
"New York team?" Asked Bruce.
"Ready." said Daredevil.
A sling ring portal opens.
"Sorcerer Supreme Wong?" bowed Bruce.
"You didn't think you were gonna save the timeline without us now would you?" Asked Astra with Spooner by her side.
"Good luck ladies." said Wong taking his leave.
"Well then, I guess we're ready" said Constantine.
Bruce smiles as he tells Victor
"Hit it!"
Victor deactivated the dome shield watching it lower.
"We won't have much time" said Victor.
"EVERYONE BACK INSIDE LET'S GO!!" ordered Sara.
Meanwhile from Kang's Fortress
"Hmm. *chuckles* Good luck getting out. STRANGE!" Shouts Kang
Doctor Strange makes his appearance via a sling ring portal.
"Take a look at this" said Kang showing him what's going down.
"They will be dealt with" assured Strange.
"Please do. Find Jane and the rest of yhr Thor Corps while you're at it. You'll need the back up" said Kang.
"What will you do?" Asked Strange.
"Release the hounds" Kang answers summoning his army to head towards Gotham.
The Waverider starts its engine and begins to take flight.
However Doctor Strange opens a portal as he's flanked by Jane Foster and Beta Ray Bill with the Thor Corps behind them.
"Strange?" Asked Sara.
"I'm afraid I'm gonna have to ask you to step out of the vehicle with your hands behind your heads" ordered Strange.
"Strange don't do this! We're trying to save the world and bring Peter back!" shouts Sara.
"He's dead Sara. You of all people should know that."
"There's hope. Remember that? Hope?" Asked Sara.
Strange begins to hesitate.
"Take down that ship" he ordered
Jane and Bill ready their hammers but get intercepted by both Wonder Woman and Superman.
"GO!!" Shouts Diana.
"Let's hit it!" shouts Sara activating the accelerator
However The Thor Corps began to surround the ship as did Kang's army.
"Shazam unleashes a lightning storm and battles through the Thor Corps.
Meanwhile The Avengers, Defenders, X-Men, Fantastic Four and Justice League all stayed behind.
"This is ground team to Waverider. Marc will protect you guys going forward. Good luck." said Matt.
"Good luck Murdock" said Sara to herself as the Waverider zooms outside the merged New York city.
"I want their heads Sorcerer!" orders Kang.
Strange orders the attack pointing at the heroes as Kang's forces began their attack.
"Get that Boom Tube ready!" shouts Batman leaping into the battlefield throwing Batarangs and explosives.
"We made it!" said Barry with a sigh of relief.
"Let's not celebrate yet. We just crossed the street. Strap in everyone. Next stop, Warworld." said Sara punching in the coordinates.
"I could use some cover over here!" shouts Victor.
Sue then rushes to his aid and projects a force field to hold off Kang's forces buying him some time.
"REED!" shouts Sue.
Reed Richards then stretches on over to assist Victor.
"Mind if I lend a hand?"
She Hulk starts grabbing and slamming Kang's troops around. Frank goes guns blazing firing from every direction. Wolverine slices and dices with his claws to Justice League Flash saving his ass by barreling through more of Kang's troops.
Jessica Jones and Luke Cage fought back to back while Iron Fist was tossed on front of the two.
"Smacked on your ass again Danny?" Asked Jessica
"Just shut up and help me up" he replied.
Captain Marvel fired photon blasts from above but gets hit with Jane's hammer.
Daredevil throws his Billy Club at Jane to save Carol but dodged an attack from Beta Ray Bill.
Iron Heart fired missiles from her suit doing a bombing run giving everyone some space and distance.
"Any time on that Boom Tube!" shouts Riri firing repulsor blasts.
"We're gonna need just a little more time!" said Reed.
Aquaman used his trident to call in a Tsunami to wash away more of Kang's forces.
"Will that do?" Asked Arthur
"Perfect" said Reed.
Victor finally readies the boomtube coordinates ready to fire.
"READY!" shouts Victor.
"DO IT!" shouts Batman
Victor opens a boomtube that sends all of Kang's forces to an unknown location just as the dome reactivates.
Everyone looks up seeing all of Kang's forces dissappear. Except for Strange, Jane and Bill.
Strange surrendered with his fingers glowing with magic that hits Bill and Jane's head.
"Strange?" Asked Bruce.
"What the hell?" Asked Jane feeling funny.
"I feel as if we've been puppets this entire time" adds Bill.
"It's because you have" Explained Strange.
"You gonna arrest us now Doc?" Asked Carol.
Strange smiled and nods.
"No Carol."
"So. You're a sleeper agent?" Asked Bruce.
"I couldn't risk blowing my cover even when Sara said they were gonna bring Peter Parker back from the dead." Explained Strange.
"Was you surrendering to Kang and making our lives hell part of the plan bub?" Asked Logan.
"Yes. Now it's very clear our friends have a long road ahead. Meanwhile the rest of us have a part to play. And this next one you're not gonna like" said Strange.
"How can we know to trust you?" Asked Jessica.
"His heart rate says he's telling the truth. Even about us not liking what's about to happen. How he did somewhat lie about something" said Matt.
"Which was?" Asked Sue
"He is gonna arrest us"
