~11 years later~
"No" a voice shouted, a familiar one at that and Chizuru sighed, wondering what mischief her daughter had gotten up to now, Kuren Shiranui was a little spitfire with a love of guns just like her father, he'd started teaching her when she was 9.
With another sigh Chizuru picked up her fraternal twin boys Zen Yukimura and Ren Shiranui both were three, and headed outside "Kuren what have you done now" Chizuru asked in that tone, one that her daughter was overly familiar with.
As the purple haired she-devil ducked her head, then flopped onto the ground with a whine of petulance "Geez how do you get her to do that" Kyo huffed, having been trying to scold the girl for, forever but had, had little luck until his mate had come out of their home.
Chizuru quirked a mahogany brow at her husband "Practice Kyo, not to mention our daughter is a trouble-maker in town, especially while you're gone away keeping our town safe from bandits and whoever else is out there" she informed.
Before leveling her gaze on her oldest child who crossed her arms and stared back, the most stubborn look on her face "Oh boy...guess I really need to stick around a little longer this time, if you don't stop causing trouble for your mother and the town-folk we'll have to leave Kuren" Kyo scolded.
Trying to take the girl in hand so that he wasn't leaving all the work to Chizuru "Bu..." Kuren tried but was cut off with a stern frown "It's just those stupid boys are always picking on me and all I did was hit him with a pebble, there was barely a bruise this time" Kuren rushed out.
Really attempting to justify her actions "I believe your mother has told you that if something like bullying happens you are to come and get her, not take matters into your own hands Kuren... and what do you mean this time" Kyo spluttered.
Hearing the rest of the what she'd said "Exactly Kyo, last time she shoved someone, the boy got a broken arm and Kuren was banned from practicing with her gun, and even so what you did was still wrong, you can't do that, they aren't the same as us, humans are more fragile" Chizuru nodded.
Beginning to tap her foot to hopefully get her point across this time "Precious I know it's hard alright, boys are dumb... but your mom is right to, humans are really delicate, they can die very easily you know even from something like a pebble" Kyo winked.
Kneeling at his daughter's side who started to cry, melting his heart further, because he truly loved the child as he pat her gently on the back "But you gotta learn there are consequences to every action, so that means no practicing and you have to help your mother around the house with chores" he declared.
Deciding on a fitting punishment as he scooped the girl up and carried her inside before coming back out "Oh Kyo I was meaning to tell you something... surprise I'm pregnant again" Chizuru informed just as he felt that tiny presence beginning to develop within her womb.
Upon lifting his mate and sons up into his arms "It's too early to tell but I really hope it is not another daughter" Kyo groaned, wondering how the hell he was going to get through the next several decades with that girl as his child, she was to like him when he'd been that age unfortunately.
Chizuru snickered at his misfortune "Just you wait Kyo, I have a feeling these boys of ours will be little trouble-makers as well, Ren is already starting to take after his sister" the brunette chided with a smile, inwardly hoping it was another girl.
Another groan came from Kyo as he walked them to their room or rather the twin's room so they could be put down for a nap, they'd had to expand the clinic to accommodate the children, then after Sen and Ren were fast asleep, Kyo took his wife down the hall to their room for some privacy.
3 weeks later during one of Kyo's patrols around the town, Chizuru got an unexpected visitor "Kazama, what are you doing here" Chizuru gasped, reaching for her gun-holster and crowding her children behind her and then from behind Kazama, came Amagiri.
Apparently both male devils were dropping by for a visit "Keep your head Yukimura, we have no intention of stirring up trouble in your territory" Chikage Kazama rolled his eyes at the she-devil he'd wanted long ago but was now mated to another female devil by the name of Sen.
Mahogany orbs narrowed "Then what could possibly bring you here to my home, where my children are" Chizuru inquired training her weapon on Kazama, wondering if the male devil was after her daughter now that he couldn't have her and he'd just been waiting for Kuren to grow up a little to come and snatch her away.
Red and blue met before the red pair shifted to the doorway "Oh honestly Chizuru-chan, you've been around Shiranui for far too long that his habits have rubbed off on you" Sen huffed lightly as she waddled into her friend's home, stomach swollen with child.
Hand toting along a 5-year-old boy "Sen-chan you, your, but why I thought... you married Kazama-san, how long ago" Chizuru gasped, unable to complete her sentence until she took a deep breath in order to calm her nerves and speak normally, holstering her gun warily as she did so.
Sen nodded "Yes about 6 years ago, then a year later Osamu came along hehehe... looks like we're not the only ones who have been busy huh Chizuru-chan, I count three plus the unborn one" Sen grinned, settling herself at Chikage's side with her mates help of course.
Getting the feeling that it would be okay Chizuru herded her children out before her "I'd like you to meet Kuren, she's my oldest and has Kyo's last name, Kuren sweetie this is Sen-chan an old friend of mine" Chizuru introduced.
Nudging her eldest forward "Hello I am Kuren, I like guns and my Papa is teaching me how to shoot just as well as he can" Kuren declared loudly which indicated she was nervous, Sen smiled gently at the young female devil who was nearly a spitting image of her father, if not for the brown eyes that was.
Chikage blinked "Wait your letting that idiot teach her how to use a gun, I thought you of all people would put your foot down on the matter at least until she was older" Kazama exclaimed, realizing that he had heard that right and Shiranui was teaching his daughter how to wield a weapon.
Hazel orbs rolled upwards lightly "Yes well, I'd like to see you try and stop him when his mind is made up on something... plus, it makes me feel better knowing Kuren can defend herself somewhat, now for these two, this is Zen Yukimura and Ren Shiranui, their fraternal twins" Chizuru snorted.
Zen had his mother's hair and father's eyes, while Ren was a practical carbon copy of his father "My and what are you hoping the little one will be" Sen asked in a curious tone, realizing her friend had a large head start on her for bearing more devil children to her line and Shiranui's it seemed.
"Not another girl that's for damn sure" Kyo snorted, rather calm, only because he'd had a few minutes to reign in his anger at seeing Kazama sitting at his table with his mate and children, alongside Amagiri, but it was the other female devil that had cooled his heated blood.
Mahogany shot a disapproving look his way "Really Kyo, honestly, you'd think with that kind of attitude that you didn't love Kuren and Sen-chan I would love it so very much if it were another girl" Chizuru scolded, planning on talking to Kyo about cursing in front of the children later, again.
Kyo winced slightly upon hearing her tone which indicated a lecture was in his future "Sorry, I do love our daughter, there are no doubts about that so you don't ever have to worry Kuren, we will never abandon you no matter how much trouble you cause sometimes" Kyo assured.
Sitting in between his girls and pulling them into his sides "Love you too Daddy" Kuren grinned up at her father impishly before wiggling free and dashing off outside to play, Amagiri let out a quiet amused chuckle while Sen openly and loudly giggled.
Prompting Osamu to laugh as well, Chikage reached over and picked up his child giving his mate a rest as she held her stomach after that laughing fit "So I couldn't help but notice Kimigiku isn't with you, nothing happened to her did it" Chizuru asked.
Wanting to know but dreading the answer all the same "Oh Kimigiku is just fine, back in the village actually taking care of some things, she married Kyuju you see but they have yet to produce a child for his line" Sen informed which took another chip off Chizuru's shoulders.
"But the reason we visited was to see if there were human remedies to help with that, considering you are a doctor of remarkable renown, surely there is something you can make for us" Amagiri finally spoke for the first time since they'd all sat down at the table.
Chizuru paused in standing to go make tea since it was looking like her guests were going to stay for a lot longer than anticipated "Sure, I think I have the herbs in stock even, to whip you up something like that" Chizuru nodded with a little shrug.
As long as they weren't being demanding of her, she could accept their presence even Kazama's and that was saying something "And I want you to help me give birth to my child this time, I stayed away before with Osamu but not anymore, we're friends and I don't want to cut off contact anymore" Sen blurted.
Glaring at her mate, hoping he wouldn't dare argue with her over this, "I... think I'd like that as well" Chikage relented, not wanting to incite the woman's wrath upon his head again, those whacks of hers hurt and they were even worse while with child unfortunately.
Thankfully Sen didn't have to do too much in order to convince Chizuru to help with the delivery of their child as the younger female devil agree instantly to the request before padding off to make tea and what she'd promised Amagiri earlier.
Not long after, the group took their leave of Chizuru's home leaving the mated couple alone "Uh I'm still in trouble aren't I... alright tell me what I did this time" Kyo sighed, seeing the frown on her face, he'd hoped apologizing earlier would have been enough but apparently not.
"We've talked about you cursing in front of the children Kyo, I wouldn't care if they were older but it's not good to do so around impressionable minds and if that wasn't bad enough you did it around Sen-chan's son" Chizuru ranted.
Picking up her own twin sons and stalking off leaving Kyo to stew in his juices for a bit and contemplate his actions "Oops I don't think I was meant to hear that, hehehe forgot something" Sen laughed sheepishly when the male devil turned and spotted her stood in the doorway.
Kyo sighed and rubbed a hand down his face "Nothing I'm not use to Princess, Chizuru's right I do have to stop that bad habit of mine but sometimes I slip up and she gets a little pi...upset about it" Kyo explained, picking up the small satchel Sen had forgotten and handing it to her all proper-like.
Before she hurried or rather waddled off to catch up with Chikage who was stood right outside waiting for her, an incredulous look on his face, apparently, he'd heard the lecture as well and then both of them were gone, son in arms back to the village they lived in.
It was a few months later that Sen and the others returned to visit Chizuru in time for Sen to give birth and for Kimigiku to receive a check-up for the life that was beginning to develop within her, only for them to stumble upon an interesting scene.
The familiar devil they knew as Kyo was out in the yard, instructing Kuren "Just like that precious, remember to brace for that recoil and pull the trigger" Kyo instructed carefully, only to duck when the recoil knocked his daughter off her feet and the bullet came speeding towards him.
"Dad, I don't think I'm ready for this gun after all, can we go back to the other one please" Kuren pleaded, tired of holding the heavier weapon and wanting the smaller one that fit better in her hands, Kyo gave up and relented with a nod, before noticing their guests.
Sen waved "Sorry looks like that's all the practicing we have time for today precious, so run along to your room and change, you'll have to help your mother around the house with some things for our guests" Kyo informed, to his daughter's disappointment.
Kuren did as bid however and rushed inside to don the appropriate attire for guests then took over making tea and little snacks for her mother "Thank you sweetie but what's the occasion" Chizuru smiled gently at her daughter wondering what was up.
Only to find out a moment later when multiple pairs of feet shuffled into her home "We have guests Precious so I told Kuren she has to help" Kyo dropped a kiss on her temple as he ushered Chizuru to the table where their visitors were already seated and helped his woman sit as well.
"Aww such a little darling aren't you Kuren-chan, thank you very much" Sen cooed when a cup of tea and a platter of snacks was set before her by the 11-year-old, Kuren smiled innocently in response then sat next to her father with a slight pout.
Clearly still a little put-out her practice had been interrupted "So as you can see, thanks to that medicine you made Kimigiku is with child and Sen-hime is ready to give birth" Amagiri cleared his throat after participating in some inane conversation.
Kyo quickly helped his mate up when she shot him a look, then motioned for Kimigiku to follow her into the examination room, though she did pause and glance to Kyuju who nodded and stood to join the females, answering questions and the like until the exam was over.
Putting her things away Chizuru breathed out a sigh of relief "The baby is healthy so you don't have to worry about that Kimigiku-san, Amagiri-san, however I will ask that you increase your vitamin intake because it looks like you're a little low on iron, just add a bit more protein to your diet" Chizuru instructed.
Glad that the older she-devil's pregnancy was progressing without too many complications "Okay simple enough, now I do believe Sen-hime is ready for her own checkup" Kimigiku nodded, pleased that she wouldn't have to do much.
The younger woman smiled then opened the door allowing the other mated pair into the exam room "Alright Chizuru-chan, can you tell me when you think our baby will be due" Sen inquired, sitting on the special chair and allowing her friend to examine her.
For a moment Chizuru was quiet as she examined Sen "Well given how far your cervix has dropped, I'd say pretty soon, in a week or two I believe" Chizuru informed, fairly certain that it would be soon but sometimes her exams weren't entirely accurate.
Most of it was guess-work unfortunately "That's sooner than we expected actually, it's a good thing we came here before Sen went into labor" Chikage grimaced, he'd be glad when this was all over and his second child had been born.
Chizuru nodded sagely in agreement before letting the couple out of her exam room, Kyo was right there helping her settle down at his side when she reached the table and the lot of them continued their earlier conversation.
Eight days later Sen gave birth to another son, this one named the heir of her own devil clan as she thanked her friend profusely for helping with the delivery, having found it ten times easier to endure the laboring process with Chizuru around.
Not long after Amagiri, Kimigiku, Sen and Chikage with their sons in arms returned to their own village with the promise of another visit in the near future "Hmm the children are asleep Precious, do you need anything" Kyo whispered as they settled side by side on the raised futon.
Putting emphasis on that word which was a sure-fire guaranteed way to rile his mate up "Kyo don't you... hmmph" Chizuru began in a warning tone knowing what her husband was trying to do but was cut off by his lips as he gave her a soul-searing kiss that made heat gather in her nether-regions.
Kyo pulled away after a moment with a chuckle "Relax let me precious" he soothed, taking care, especially with her swollen with child stomach, Chizuru gasped out his name, sending a thrill down his spine that his name was the only one she ever called out for in the midst of ecstasy.
When he was finished, he cuddled his woman from behind, pulling her into his embrace as they drifted off into a peaceful slumber after enjoying some adult activities, only to repeat everything the next morning as their children woke them from their sleep "Ah this is the life" Kyo remarked, unable to regret his decision after all of taking care of her needs.
