"Gerome, are you sure it was okay to let Orimura go back there?" Shiroshi questioned.
"You're still distrustful towards him? Give him a break, Shiroshi." Mako said.
"They were old allies of his. He knows how they think, knows how to get info out of them, as well as other means that could be useful to us." Gerome said. "Either way, it doesn't matter. No one shall stand in our way." Gerome turned to his men and took charge like any general. "The time has come! The first step to equality!" He declared with his men cheering with him. Who are these people and what are they after?
...
The Pilots
Ichika just pulled the wool over everyone's eyes. They all believed he joined with an enemy force, but he ended up saving them. It was all an act and it would seem that he's working with Davis' twin sister: Marinda. Without getting much answers, they locked Vestor up and headed over to the mobile lab that Chifuyu was waiting for everyone.
"What the hell happened out there?" Chifuyu questioned.
"Hey, Chifuyu. No time to explain, but she can." Ichika said as he took his phone and set it up so Marinda could speak with everyone. "You're on, Marinda. Everyone can hear you."
"Yeah, and we all want answers as to what the hell is going on." Davis said. "Ichika, what are you doing here? What is all this?"
"We'll explain, but you need to get going, Ichika." Marinda said. "The rest of you just stay back since you don't know what you're up against."
"I'm on it." Ichika said as he just ran out of there. He unleashed Byakushiki and took to the sky.
"Oh no you don't!" Davis called as he hurried after him before the girls could stop him. "You're not ditching me so easily after all that!" He fully unleashed Dragonic Heaven and took to the sky with him flying after Ichika.
...
Marinda
"I can see he hasn't changed." Marinda said as she was enjoying a smooth ride in a luxury train ride with her using a computer. "Give me a moment to link Ichika and Davis to this so they can hear what we're saying."
"First question, have you been floundering with my bride?!" Laura said.
"That is a good question. What is going on between you and Ichika?!" Cecilia said as none of them liked that the two of them were being so secretive together.
"I can see the rest of you are just as annoying." Marinda complained. "Ichika and Davis, can you hear me?"
"Yeah. We hear you now." Ichika confirmed.
...
The Boys
"I can't believe what I'm seeing Davis. You actually got Dragonic Heaven back! It looks like we both have some explaining to do." Ichika said as they both flew through the air.
"You first. What is going on and what are you doing here?" Davis said.
"Allow me." Marinda said as she started things off. "After the battle with our mother, Davis, I set out to eliminate anything that might have been left of her. I was looking over all her research and resources to find what I can and can't dispose. Mother was as brilliant as she was devious, so I tried to ensure we didn't get a repeat of what happened. While I was doing that, I came across something that caught my interest."
"What was it?" Davis questioned.
"I found out about an underground organization that's been operating in the shadows." Marinda claimed.
"These guys are apparently opposed to I.S. units." Ichika claimed.
"Opposing I.S. units?" Davis questioned as they all found that was weird.
"They feel oppressed by women who use them, they feel that the power of the world is thrown off balance." Ichika said. "In other words, it's sort of like the roles are reversed from history when women didn't have the same rights as men."
"Only thing is that they've decided to take more direct and forceful actions." Marinda said. "It's sort of like they're rebelling against the I.S. and will see to it that they are terminated, even if that means going to war. They call themselves Rogue Nirvana."
"Seriously? It sounds like to me they're going a little extreme." Davis said.
"Well, imagine how women felt when they weren't given the same rights or treated equally as men." Ichika said. "As men, we probably can't imagine how that feels, but it must have been crushing. For whatever reason, these guys feel the same. They're aiming for equality, but their methods are dangerous. These guys are ruthless." Hearing about these guys was having quite an impact on everyone. Other than Ichika and Davis, women are the only ones that can operate I.S. units, but since they are used for sports, none of them ever thought that it would initiate a power struggle between genders.
"Okay, I think I get that, but what about you, Ichika?" Houki said.
"Yeah, what were you doing there in the first place?" Rin questioned as they all wanted to know that.
"I did some digging on these guys and I soon found about the ones you're going after." Marinda said. "I contacted Orimura and asked him for help."
"I'm sorry about how I acted." Ichika said as he did feel bad for his attitude. "I just couldn't blow my cover while they were watching."
"I asked Orimura to infiltrate them and relay any information he got on them to me." Marinda said. "Seeing as how he is a male pilot, I believed it would be an opportunity for them. They would be able to study and learn more about the I.S., and he provided the perfect cover story to persuade them."
"So, Ichika never turned against us. That's such a relief." Charlotte said as they were all glad to hear he was still the same Ichika they knew.
"But why didn't you tell Houki, Miss Orimura, or anyone about what you were doing? You had everyone worried sick." Davis said.
"I asked him not to." Marinda said. "It's easier to keep a secret when less people know about it. It was an undercover assignment that only the two of us knew."
"That explains why Ichika was acting weird before he disappeared. He was just trying to keep the secret the whole time." Sierra said.
"But how come it took so long? Why didn't you just storm that place and took them all down?" Davis said. "Between the two of you, it would have been easy."
"They develop weapons that are specifically designed to fight against I.S. users." Marinda claimed. "On top of that, they're a much bigger organization than we thought. It's not just this small group."
"This is only one branch of this organization. There are others scattered throughout the whole world." Ichika said with all of them surprised that there's an underground organization that large. "We didn't know about that until after I got into this one, so the plan changed to taking this one down. That's where we're off to right now, Davis."
"They're planning to attack a research facility for the development of I.S. They're willing to take anyone that would dare get in their way." Marinda said. "Especially if they do use units."
"That's why we need to stop them now." Ichika said.
"Oh yeah! You can count me in!" Davis said as he was looking forward to a fight.
...
Rogue Nirvana
Rogue Nirvana stood just outside a city. They all stood near a cliff and watched down on the city. Shiroshi pulled out a pair of high-tech binoculars and had his sights on one building.
"I see the research facility." Shiroshi said. "Security has I.S. units to help them out, but not many of them. In reality of the situation, security is really the only thing that can stop us. Not much of a challenge if you ask me."
"Our men are ready if the local authorities attempt to stop us as well." Mako claimed. "We await your command, Gerome. Just say the word and we'll charge in and storm the place."
"Good." Gerome said as he turned to his fellow soldiers. The thing was that there were many more than just a small group. They numbered in the hundreds. "The time has come, our brothers in rebellion! We have all felt the weight of the world against us when it favored the females! Women in the past have fought for their rights! This is the time that we men fight for equality! We will not be kept down! We shall be the ones to make the future of mankind! We shall be the ones to remake the world!" All of his men cheered to his words as they all clearly felt strong about this. "Let the fall of this factory of inequality be the stepping to stone for us to revolutionize the world!"
"I'm getting pumped for this." Mako said. "I wish Orimura was here. He would have loved to take this place down."
"Enough of..." Shiroshi was fed up with praising Orimura, but there was no time for that. He heard a device going off that was alerting him of something. He took out a radar-like piece of equipment and had a look.
"What's going on?" Mako questioned.
"Sir! Two I.S. are heading in this direction!" Shiroshi warned.
"From where?" Gerome questioned.
"They should be flying over us right now!" Shiroshi said. They all looked to the sky and saw what was going on. They spotted Ichika and Davis heading their way.
"There they are!" Ichika said. When they got there, Davis couldn't believe what he was seeing. There far more of them than he thought. "Surprised by the size? So was I."
"How can there be so many of them? This is nuts!" Davis said.
"Come on!" Ichika said as he took the lead with Davis following and they ended up flying in front of the group. "Sorry to keep you guys waiting, but I'm afraid this is as far as you are going."
"Orimura! I knew it!" Shiroshi shouted as he was plenty angry at Ichika.
"Orimura? What's going on? I thought you were tired of being the only male pilot." Mako said.
"Sorry, Mako. I'm putting a stop to this." Ichika said.
"We're not going to let you guys just storm in where innocent people could get hurt." Davis said.
"And you think you can stop us?" Gerome said as he stepped forward. "If you are not with us, you are against us. We will not allow anyone to stand in our way. Be warned that if we have to take your lives, we will. You two might have I.S. units, but it's still two of you against all of us. You are also aware that we have equipment that is meant to help even the grounds against the likes of you."
"Oh yeah? Take your best shot!" Davis said as he held out his sword and dared them to come at them.
"You asked for it." Gerome said as used hand gestures at his fellow soldiers and ordered them to take aim. With a single closed fist, they all opened fired at the two of them. All the soldiers started firing at them, but Ichika and Davis moved around in the air and tried their best to avoid their shots.
"Careful, Davis! Those shots can deplete our shields!" Ichika warned as they flew around and avoided each of their attacks.
"No worries!" Davis said as he flew up to the air and dived straight down. He straightened himself up just before hitting the ground and flew straight at the enemy soldiers. He crashed right into them and sent a bunch of them flying into one attack.
"Nice moves! Let me try!" Ichika said as he used the cannon featured on his I.S. and started firing plasma shots at the enemy. All of them tried moving away, but Ichika moved in and sent them all flying himself. "By the way, how does it feel to use the second shift of Dragonic Heaven?"
"Awesome! I feel stronger and faster!" Davis said and kept on firing. The mere foot soldiers weren't much for those two.
"I hate to say it, Shiroshi, but you were right about Orimura." Mako admitted.
"Now that we have cleared, we can skip straight to killing them." Shiroshi said. "Allow me to take the traitor."
"Of course. It's time these fools learn the depths of our resolve. They haven't seen the power Rogue Nirvana truly has." Gerome said as the three of them were ready to take actions themselves. This Rogue Nirvana sounds like a persistent group that will do anything to get their way. It's up to Ichika and Davis to try and stop them.
...
Davis: These guys are like annoying insects. No matter how much you swat at them, they just keep coming. However, those insects get squashed or exterminated eventually. Still, I can't believe how many of them there are, or how large this organization is. These guys might be nothing, but the whole rest of them sounds like something tough.
Next Time: Our New Enemy
It feels so good to use and I.S. again!
