Random Cultist: The team you sent to look for any people who might still be alive has finished their search.

Random Cultist: They found someone.
Subaru: What did you say?
Random Cultist: There was someone we found, they are alive and well.
Subaru: Take me there now, the rest of you stay far away from them!
Random Cultist: Understood.
The cultist wearing a butler outfit bowed before leading Subaru to a closed door.
Random Cultist: This is where they are located. I shall tell the others to wait outside this room until you return.
Subaru: Yeah, sure whatever get out of my way.
Subaru pushed the cultist away and rushed towards the door opening it quickly before closing it behind him.
?: Bubb- Oh, it's just you, I suppose.
Subaru rubbed his eyes, he couldn't believe what he was seeing.
Subaru: B-Beatrice?!
Beatrice: What is it, I suppose? And why do you smell even worse than before, it's unbearable, I suppose!
Subaru ignored her hurtful comments and rushed towards her, he grabbed her and spun around a huge smile on his face.
Subaru: You're alive! Beako! You're alive!
Beatrice: Nghh~ Let go of me, I suppose!
Subaru let go of Beatrice and placed her back on the floor.
Beatrice: Why are you so shocked that I am alive, I suppose?! And what happen to your hands? They are covered in blood and blisters, give them to me so I can heal them, in fact!
Subaru: I'm sorry, I was just starting to lose hope that anyone survived.
Beatrice: Survive, what do you mean Betty's confused you need to explain, while you're at it care to explain where Bubby is? The mansion has been extra quiet lately, in fact!
Subaru stopped smiling and looked towards the floor while gritting his teeth.
Subaru: Beatrice, I don't know how to tell you this but, the witch cult attacked the mansion and killed everyone, even Emilia, and I don't really understand why but I think puck was killed by Reinhardt.
Beatrice's butterfly eyes started to shake.
Beatrice: What are you talking about, I suppose Bubby wouldn't die, I suppose!
Subaru: Beatrice if you don't believe just look at the chaotic state of the mansion!
Beatrice: Betty can't leave Betty was entrusted with this library by Mother, in fact. Betty promised she would tend to its volumes, never leaving it, are you trying to make me break my promise!?
Beatrice: Besides if what you say about Bubby is true then why did you not do anything to stop it, I suppose?
Subaru: When I arrived at the mansion everything was already in pieces I was powerless to do anything about it! But even so, Betty, I know it's rude of me to ask but I want to change. I want to get revenge on the people who killed the people we loved and tore our life to pieces! But that plan can only be a success with you, I am powerless, but you, you're strong with you by my side we can get revenge on those who've wronged us!
Beatrice: Before Betty answers, you, may I ask a question, I suppose.
Subaru: Of course!
Beatrice: A-are you that person?
Subaru: What? I have no idea what you're talking about.
Beatrice sighed, she then grabbed a Black book from a shelf nearby.
Subaru: Beatrice, why does the book you're holding look like a Gospel?!
Beatrice: Betty knows what you're thinking but you're wrong, Betty isn't a part of the witch cult! This is the book my mother gave to Betty, in fact! It can predict the future but recently the pages have gone blank. Betty doesn't know who that person is, mother never gave me anything to go off of, but the fact the book is blank means that Betty's time has ended and there is no more future for me.
Subaru: EH!? Beatrice! NO! A blank book could mean that, however, when a book is blank it just means you need to fill in the pages! Beatrice comes with me and together we can fill in the blank pages in your story!
Beatrice stares at him with tears falling down her cheeks.
Beatrice: But you'll die and leave me behind like the rest of them.
Subaru: While that may be true, I promise to make every second we spend together memorable.
Subaru's outstretched hand was grabbed by Beatrice's hand and with that, the two of them made a contract.
The two of them left the Forbidden library holding each other's hands
Subaru: Hey Beako I am really glad you decided to follow me.
Beatrice: Betty already knows how happy you are, I suppose!
Just before anything else could be said Beatrice stopped,
Subaru: Huh, Beatrice what's wrong?
Just ahead of them was one of the witch cultists,

Beatrice raised her hand towards the maid,

Subaru managed to grab her hand before she could cast the spell.

Subaru: ...you're right about them being witch cultists, however, they're actually on our side.
