Quiver Full of Cupid Arrows
It wasn't often that Yelena found herself humming. Partly because she didn't know that many songs to hum. Another, much less fun part was because she was taught time and time again to be silent. She was an assassin, a skill that she was actually pretty proud of is she was being honest, but it did mean there were a few things that her brain would instinctively tell her to avoid.
One of those was making unnecessary noise. Which she was doing.
The other was avoiding archers. Or more specifically a certain purple clad archer with the cheerfullest of a very stubborn, but equally cute puppy.
Kate Bishop started off as a means to an end. Back then all Yelena wanted to do was to kill Clint Barton, who she believed was the one responsible for her sisters death. Then Kate became an annoying obstacle. After that she became a friend. Which then became a crush. And from there Kate became, not just a girlfriend but one of the most important people in Yelena's life.
And so Yelena found herself in Kate kitchen, wearing one of Kate's collage shirts and a pair of red shorts which were not Kate's but Yelena's. She recently started leaving a few pieces of her clothes at Kate's place, it became easier than bringing duffel bags with her every time. Not to mention that she found herself sleeping over more often than not so it was simply the more logical thing to do.
It also became a habit for Yelena to wake up early and make coffee for her and Kate. Sometimes Kate surprised her by doing it herself but most of the time it was Yelena who woke up first.
It was the same now, Yelena pouring coffee into Kate's cup, humming despite herself, and hearing the tap of bear feet on the wooden floor.
"Coffee." Kate's voice was hoarse and rough from sleep, and from straining it the night before. She walked up behind Yelena, her chin resting on the assassin's shoulder and nuzzling close. "Smells good."
Yelena couldn't help but laugh at Kate's groggy state. She turned around, two mugs in hand, and much to the disappointment of the archer, wiggled out of her arms. Kate followed her to the couch and accepting the warm mug.
She took a sip, moaning as the taste hit her tongue, "It's good."
"Did you doubt me?" Yelena asked, eyes shining in amusement as she too took a sip before setting the cup on the little table.
Kate shook her head before setting her cup down and wrapping her arms around Yelena's shoulders and plopping herself into the assassin's lap, her mouth quickly finding it's target that was was Yelena's neck, or more specifically the hickey she left there the night before.
"Already?" Yelena's hands settled on Kate's hips, "You really don't waste time do you?"
"Not when I know that you're going on a mission soon. I wanna make sure you have a reason to come back." The grin against her skin sent shivers down Yelena's spine, her hips jolting upwards into Kate's. This only spurred Kate further, "How much time do we have?"
Yelena leaned her head back, eyes closing as Kate's tongue mapped her neck, "If you keep going like that I might actually cancel the mission. But right now..." Upon glancing at the clock she let out a frustrated sigh, "Less than an hour."
"Fuck. How fast do you think you can make it?" Yelena didn't offer a verbal answer, instead she lunged forward and carried a very amused, and horny, Kate upstairs and dropped her onto the already messy bed.
Turns out that, with the right motivation, which in no small part were Kate's moans and praise, combined with the time crunch as well as the fact that Kate was criminally skilled with her tongue and fingers, Yelena could come quite quickly.
She hissed when she felt Kate's nails scratching down her back as the archer also reached her peak.
Yelena's mouth was greedy on Kate's neck and collarbones, intent on leaving an equal amount of marks as Kate left on her, "I will miss you." She husked into Kate's ear before biting into it with her teeth. "Before I could go months without interacting with many people. Now it feels like a few weeks without you will be torture for me moya lyubov'."
"Then try to hurry back." Kate let out a shaky breath as she pulled Yelena into a deep kiss, her legs unwrapping from Yelena's hips but keeping Yelena close for as long as possible. If it were up to either of them they'd spend at least a few more hours together. Sadly that was not the case as Yelena's watch started beeping, reminding her that it was time to leave.
Yelena kissed Kate's cheek, "I will take you on the best date ever when I get back. Promise."
"How about a vacation?" Kate asked, her previous excitement returning, "I know a lot of really nice places we could go to. No Avengers. No Black Widow missions. No Clint."
"That last one is a big plus I must admit." This got a laugh out of Kate. Yelena might pretend to hate Clint's guts but at this point she thinks of him like an only slightly annoying older brother. "I would love to get away for a while with you. As long as we bring Lucky and Fanny also, I will not leave the kids all alone for long, I am a response parent."
Which was true. Sometimes they left Lucky and Fanny with Greer if they were both on missions at the same time, but most of the time they stayed with one of them while the other came back. This time it will be Kate's turn to keep an eye on them.
"Reminds me I need to pick her up later. I'll take her and Lucky on a walk." This earned her another big kiss from Yelena.
"You better." Yelena left a few quick kisses on Kate's cheeks before she slid out of bed. "I need to take a quick shower. You are more than welcome to join me if you do not plan on distracting me."
Yelena had never seen Kate move faster in her life.
