This one turned out to be a tad bit shorter than I expected, but I think I got to do something pretty cool with it anyway! After this, there will be two more kiss scenes based on Majora's Mask, then it's on to Twilight Princess. And boy, do I have some interesting scenes planned out for that!

As always, please feel free to leave a review down below if you enjoy this, or have any suggestions for how to make these kiss scenes better. Anyways, I hope y'all enjoy this one!

Inside their new house in Clock Town, Anju and Kafei braced themselves as the ground quaked underfoot. Their Sun and Moon masks, traditional for Terminian couples approaching their wedding day, lay on the floor beside them; despite tradition, the couple weren't wearing them. Neither felt like it at the moment. As the ground continued to rumble, they contented themselves with gazing into one another's eyes, grasping each other's hands tightly as the world began to fall apart.

Outside the window was the cause of all this shaking: just above the town, alarmingly low and descending rapidly, the moon glared down at the world. It looked like it would strike the ground directly through the great clock tower, undoubtedly destroying the town, if not an even larger area of Termina. It was the imbalance of this moonfall that had sent these massive tremors through the ground, making it difficult for Kafei and Anju to remain standing.

Well, Kafei, at least. Anju was sitting on both knees, ensuring she'd be closer to eye-level with her betrothed. She laughed inwardly at the irony of that; not even a week before, she would've been looking up at him. Not for the first time in the past few days, she cursed whatever malignant entity had been responsible both for de-aging Kafei and for bringing the moon down on them all.

"I don't suppose we'll survive this," Kafei said with a bitter note between tremors, "but I still want to deck that demon who caused all this to happen. It's frustrating having to die like this, the night before our wedding was supposed to happen, no less!" He was obviously talking about the drastic reduction in his size and apparent age, and Anju couldn't blame him for being irritated about that.

She smiled wistfully in response. "Better we be here together and you like this than apart with you back to normal," she quipped serenely, seeing no point in dying while annoyed.

One corner of Kafei's mouth rose, then another, as he returned he smile, throwing himself into her arms as he hugged her tightly.

This…This is it. This is how we ought to go, Anju thought as she nuzzled her face into Kafei's long indigo locks, waiting for the end.

About a minute later, absolute bedlam broke out. The tremors intensified, and for a solid two minutes the ground was shaking and rumbling. Yet over that cacophony, the couple could hear a succession of loud, deep blasts, like horn calls, from various directions. Once, it sounded as if there was a horn sounding directly above them.

And then the shaking abruptly stopped. Anju and Kafei broke their embrace to look around them, both their ears ringing from the sudden quiet.

"Are…are we dead?" Kafei asked, "or just deaf?"

"I can hear you," Anju responded. "Can you hear me?" Kafei nodded. He moved quickly over to the window of their room to look out, and his jaw dropped.

The moon had stopped falling. Holding it up were four massive, long-limbed figures with deep red skin. Kafei couldn't make out any other details, but instinctively he knew what, or rather, who they were.

"It's the Giants. The Four Giants," he called back to his bride-to-be. "What are they doing here?"

"Does it matter?" Anju replied, joining him at the window, "This might not be the end for us." Her hand came to rest on Kafei's shoulder.

Kafei watched a small, green-clad figure at the top of the clock tower ascending into the moon, and his spirit lifted. He knew that kid, he'd navigated a theif's lair with him. If Link was involved in the Four Giants' arrival, Kafei was sure the situation was under control. For the next several minutes, Kafei and Anju stood at their window and watched as intermittent faint blue flashes lit the top side of the moon, with the Giants bearing it up all the while.

Eventually, the moon began to rise slowly, just as the dawn was coming. That same small green figure dropped from it, back onto the top of the clock tower, before disappearing as Link descended to the interior of the tower. It seemed there were others who'd been watching the moon that night, as there were muffled cheers and shouts of joy emanating from most, if not all, of the other houses. Kafei would've let out a cheer of his own, had he not been calmed by Anju's arms wrapping around his chest, bringing him into a warm embrace from behind as she buried her face in his hair once more.

Wait…how was she still tall enough to do that? For that matter, he should've had to bend over a bit to see out the window by now. Why didn't he?

He turned suddenly, seeing that Anju was just as much taller than him as she'd been during the night. He looked down, checking his entire body. His clothes hadn't tightened on him like they should've. He felt his face with his hands; it was still rounded, not at all angular as it had been before he was cursed. Anju, of course, could plainly see he was still in his smaller body, but said nothing, allowing him to come to that realization himself, coming back down to his level just as he looked back up at her, dread written all over his face.

"There's…nothing's changed," he half-whispered, his voice tense even as she was taking his hands in hers once more. "I'm still trapped in my old body…I thought that demon was gone…Why am I still like this? What'll this mean for…" He trailed off after that, realizing he was beginning to ramble, and that Anju looked nowhere near as panicked as he was. Indeed, she was still gazing into his eyes with that same serene look, her thumbs gently rubbing the backs of his hands as she held them. He took a few deep breaths, calming himself before he asked, "What will this mean for us, Anju?"

His fiance smiled as warmly as she ever had and brought one hand up to cup his cheek, softly stroking his face with her thumb. She said nothing for several seconds, continuing to give him that smile that had charmed him all those years ago, letting him lean his face into her hand as he finally relaxed.

And it was only then when she finally answered. "You are still Kafei, aren't you?" she responded. "You are still my betrothed. I know who you are - I've always known. And I've loved you since we were children, and a couple feet off your height isn't going to change that. We'll go see your parents, and explain what's happened. Then we'll go on with our wedding like we always planned. Nobody will blame either of us for the spell you've been put under. They'll just see you, just as I do."

Halfway through that answer, Kafei had begun to tear up from relief that Anju saw him no differently than had he been restored to his proper self. Now, as she fell silent again, he abruptly threw his arms around her shoulders and hugged her tightly, feeling her arms going round his waist in response. They stayed like that for a good three minutes as Kafei allowed his tears to run their course.

Anju seemed to sense when they finally dried up, and moved him so they could be face-to-face once more. He was smiling back now, and that made her own smile go wider. Then, cupping his face once more, she leaned in and pressed her lips firmly to his. Kafei didn't hesitate for even a moment to kiss her in return, managing to pull her in closer despite his shorter arms. Their lips separated, but only for a moment before meeting again, deeper and rather more passionate than before.

They stopped a bit short of a full-blown make-out session. There'd be time for that later, they silently agreed. But for now, they had a wedding to hold.

Would it be rather strange with his now-permanent reduction in height? Certainly. Would it take a few weeks for the two of them to get used to it? Most likely. But Anju suspected he'd eventually return to his former self, physically. And even if he didn't, Majora's curse hadn't changed who he was on a fundamental level. He truly was no different than he'd been before.

And she planned to stay by him to the end.
