Author's Notes: Welcome to the first installment of the 'Cecelia's Search' saga. A saga that will fill in gaps that I have left in the main story, while revealing new mysteries and adventures.

The 13th Fantasy – Chrysalis Part 1

Flying through the Lanes (on her trusty glider), Cecelia was focused on her self appointed mission of finding her son and the other children. She knew they were out there somewhere.

'I've spent weeks combing the worlds closest to Twilight Town, and I still can't find any of the children. It's like...someone or something is masking their presence from me.'

At the same time her son was traversing the worlds directly connected to their realm, finding and closing keyholes. Keyholes, that were crucial to halt the mass destruction of the worlds, and the threat of the heartless.

"I wish...for your freedom Genie!" Aladdin, former thief and compatriot to Sora and friends, released the chains that shackled his friend.

"But...Al!?" The blue skinned, wish granting spirit exclaimed. He never thought that Al would be selfless enough to release him, especially with Princess Jasmine's life in danger.

"WARRRRGH!" In a cry of jubilation, Genie's ties to the lamp that held him hostage...was severed! The spirit was then given some 'legs' by which to stand on, instead of being a floating spirit.

Aladdin turned to his new friends: Sora, Donald and Goofy. "Please Sora, find Jasmine for me!" The keyblade wielding boy nodded his affirmation. He would always help out a friend in need.

/Realms of Ends and Reverie

'This place...feels so strange...'

Cecelia could sense the unusual energies of this realm or series of realms. She was pretty sure there was divinity at play here, but what gods? She could not tell. Streaming through the great void, she made her way to a peculiar world, that was reminiscent of Earth, but looked different in that it had a satellite within the atmosphere. The planet below looked pretty typical of an Earth-class planet, with similar diverse landscape. Floating in high orbit above the planet, Cecelia used her helmet's visor to take a cursory scan of the planet. It revealed that the satellite in orbit was actually man-made, and that a sizeable population lived inside the hollow moon. It also revealed that many humans and other creatures lived on the surface of the planet proper. Thinking things over she decided instead to land on the planet's surface, rather than fly to the satellite moon.

Plotting a trajectory she made her way to a grassland area, by the northern hemisphere of the planet.

Once she landed, the keyblade master conducted a wide survey, using her magic-tech items. This included her visors (which she wore with her armour), a mountable (and portable) scanning array, and a computing device – similar to a slimline laptop. All these items (and more) were part of her magic storage, which could hold up to a few tonnes of equipment and other items. Her skill in spacial magi-tech, allowed her to file away each item, under different categories for ease of use.

Setting up her equipment on a flat, but elevated, surface, she monitored the data coming from them. Using her laptop, she generated a 3D world map of the planet. Even though the datasets were incomplete, she could see some of the strange structures and signals on her map.

Cecelia sat on her foldable seat, by her compact-desk, typing away on her computing system.

'Hmmm, even though the data hasn't come in completely, I can see signs of divinity on this planet. From the strength of the signals, there seems to be different tiers of gods. Interesting...it's not everyday I'm on a world touched by the divine!'

The keyblade master hummed away, eagerly collecting and analysing data – as it transmitted in. About an hour later, her systems confirmed the complete collection of data on the planet.

[Info on Pulse and Cocoon available...]

"Awesome! Now to see what the datasets tell me!"

Cecelia skimmed through the generated reports, pages of graphs, models and miscellaneous info on the planet. The researcher in her was jumping for joy! So much data...if only it wasn't imperative that she get a move on. Oh well, her boy was more important than analysing data, and she needed to find him and the other kids.

'Hmm, seems like the satellite above this world is a protectionist state, with some weird vendetta against the surface world. The surface of Pulse is okay for the most part. However these beings known as Fal'Cie and their gods the L'Cie...not a productive relationship. It seems the L'Cie for the most part are, a-holes, but...'

'There is a goddess of death who actually cares about the people, and has tried for eons to keep the balance. Some of the findings here indicate that a form of darkness, known as chaos corrodes life on this planet.'

Cecelia continued to read through the collected data. She was glad to have erected a barrier with properties that also limit the sight of divinity. She didn't need people or gods, crashing her fun. At least, not until she had a clearer picture; of the situation here.

Over the next few hours Cecelia scoured through the data and info sets. Once finished, she uploaded some of the footnotes to her armour's data storage, for quick viewing later on. Then she packed her equipment up, rematerialised her armour, and lowered her barrier.

'I can sense that...no one is none the wiser about my appearance. That will obviously change once I start snooping around.'

She was about to move when she...felt a dimensional rift open up on Cocoon. It wasn't a dark portal, but it felt unnatural. So she threw her keyblade in the air, willing it to transform into her glider, and then leaped towards it. Using the glider, she rocketed towards Cacoon! 'Please let me be there on time!'

However just as she was near the surface of the satellite world, the feeling vanished, and she knew the portal disappeared.

'Dang it!' she chided herself, angry at missing a possible clue to why she was drawn here. Then a minute passed with Cecelia floating in the air, when she felt the rift open again.

'It's...there!' She boosted the magi-engines on her glider, zooming to the area she felt that rift open.

/Cocoon – Household

"What the hell was that!?" A peach haired woman was spat out of a portal, unceremoniously landing on her backside. The portal closed quickly, but from it she swore she saw...

"Actually, is this my home? I'm back!?" The woman had a frown on her face, perceiving this as another trick by her enemies to let her guard down.

'Use your instincts Claire, assess the situation, take stock, steady yourself.' She calmly looked around the home...it looked completely unchanged from when she was taken to that World to confront the forces of Chaos. She picked herself up from the floor, and then went to the door. Opening the door, she looked around at her city.

She was pretty sure that this was her home. 'I doubt any illusion could be this good. So I'm back, but it seems I wasn't gone that long. I guess my nickname, Lightning worked in my favour.' The woman known as 'Claire' or 'Lightning' was glad to be back. Sure her home kinda sucked right now (the issues with L'Cie and Fal'Cie), but it was home. She closed her door.

Though...

'If I'm back, did they...win for us?' The last thing she remembered was sacrificing herself to stop a wave of manikin spawn from overwhelming her and her friends. No sooner was she pondering this question did she hear a crash just outside her home.

/Outside House

'Hmm, a bit of a rough landing, but lucky I used a cloaking spell to disguise my presence. Can't be too careful with a technologically advanced civilisation like this. Now...this looks like a residential area? I was drawn here so...'

Cecelia dispelled her armour, and reverted it into its 'jewellery form' (the pendant around her neck). She found it was easier to blend in with different world's if she didn't advertise her armour everywhere she went. That wasn't the case with most other wielders.

Her senses pinged, directing her towards the house in front of her. She began to approach the door when it was flung open.

"Who are you!?" A young woman glared at Cecelia. She had a fierceness in her. Her clothing suggested military, and the weapon to her side looked like a gun of some kind.

Looking at this young woman she sensed a great power within her. Almost like she was touched by divinity. However what she also sensed from her was residual trans-dimensional energy. 'So she's the one that came from that portal.'

"I said who are you!" The young woman's glare intensified and she hovered her hand over her holster. Cecelia knew the soldier in front of her wouldn't ask again, so she complied.

"Greetings, I'm new here and it seems you came out of a trans-dimensional portal of some kind. Care to trade tales? Of course away from any prying eyes, yes?"

"If you know that, then you mustn't be from Cocoon. Likely, not even from the surface world." The soldier's eyes narrowed.

"Fine...come inside. It should be safe enough in my home."

Cecelia nodded her appreciation, and followed the woman indoors.
