After having talked to Caterina about Devil Darkness, Alexis along with Andy and Jameson are flying towards the Lincoln memorial. It is here that they intend to talk, so they can discuss their next move on what to do next in the hope of doing something. They begin to discuss their options, before Jameson brought up the fact that Devil Darkness is trying to find his children with this catching the attention of both of the Owls themselves.
Alexis herself is surprised by what she is hearing, because she had absolutely no idea that Devil Darkness actually has children. She listened carefully to Jameson, who is trying to explain about how many children that Devil Darkness wants rescued. The two agreed that they should rescue them, although Andy himself felt unsure about whether it was a good idea to rescue the children of a creature that could potentially turn against them.
It was proving to be a very tough debate too, because Andy was against almost everything that Alexis and Jameson were saying. It appeared to be going nowhere, although it is clear to Jameson that they need to go to rescue Devil Darkness's children. He had an good idea about what to do next, including the fact that his loving adoptive family currently are in serious danger after being captured by an evil bird for some reason unknown.
"Guys, I have got an idea, about what to do" said Jameson as he got his friend's attention. "We can do two things at once, right?".
"Yeah, we can, but, what are you saying kid?" asked Andy as he becomes very concerned. "I really need to know, so please tell me".
"Look, Alexis and I can go save my family" said Jameson as he begins to smile brightly at Andy. "While you go save Darkness's children".
"No way, I will not do the mission myself" said Andy as he starts to panic about the big idea. "It is a suicide mission, I will not go there".
"What do you mean, you won't go there?" asked Alexis as she looked suspiciously at her brother. "You haven't told us, about this at all".
"I mean, I have been in that place before," said Andy as he looked desperately at his own sister. "It is scientific experiments, like a lot of it".
Unfortunately for Andy in that moment however, what he told Jameson along with Alexis quickly caught both of their attention. The two looked at him in curiosity, because they'd never heard about him mention about any kind of scientific experiments. They weren't sure about what he might be hiding, although they made sure to keep pressing him into a further confession about whether there is anything else that he is not telling them.
"What kinds of experiments?, tell us Andy" said Alexis as she continued to glare at her brother. "You must tell us, all you know, right now".
"It happened a few years ago, due to me" said Andy as he felt tears starting to form in his eyes. "I was a scientist, I enjoy my experiments".
"But then something happened, correct?" asked Alexis as she watched Andy nodding his head. "What happened, Andy?, please tell me now".
"I was approached by someone pure evil" said Andy as he kept himself looking at Alexis herself. "A female red Phoenix, who wanted me to-".
"Hold on a minute, what did you just say?" asked Jameson as this quickly caught his attention. "You said a female red Phoenix, who is it?".
"I don't know, she didn't reveal her name" said Andy as he feels fear creeping into his own body. "She threatened to kill me, unless I did it".
"Did what Andy?, you have to tell me now" said Alexis as she soon develops an fearful suspicion. "What exactly did you do?, was it horrible?".
"Yes it was, I took part in the experiments" said Andy as he feels tears stream down his own face. "I was forced to kill birds, homeless ones".
Jameson and Alexis looked at Andy in shock, they both just couldn't believe what they are actually hearing from him right now. They never expected to hear this, especially due to the fact they thought Andy was just a bird in the wrong place and time. They turned their attention from Andy to each other, hoping for the other to tell them that what they'd heard was a form of a dark joke or something in hopes of this horrible confession not being true.
When neither of them managed to respond, they turned their attention back to Andy with the latter having broke down sobbing. They can tell that he feels remorse, although they were still trying to come to terms with what Andy had confessed to them. They have never thought of him being the killing kind, especially when he doesn't seem to be a bird who is capable of committing a crime as horrible as the one that he had committed all those years ago.
Jameson himself was stunned by something else, which is about an mysterious Red Phoenix who ordered the murders in the first place. He wondered who it could be, he tries to think of anyone that resembled a red Phoenix as he thought of his own family. He knows they would never do something like that, although he wonders if there is another red Phoenix until he remembers another one that hadn't come to his mind until now as he is filled with shock.
He didn't believe that it could be someone like Fabia, considering she is the elder sister of his adoptive mother and his own adoptive aunt. He shook his head in denial, he did not want to think that his adoptive aunt is capable of something so cold and cruel. He can only hope that he is gut feeling is mistaken, that it's impossible that Fabia would do an act that would essentially make her a security risk for a lot of birds and his family with the thought horrifying him.
