Reefside 2005

The sun beat down over the landscape. Birds were chirping, a few squirrels were chasing each other around. The aroma in the air had a nice smell to it.

Several kids were walking on a sidewalk just right outside Reefside High School as the day was done laughing and talking to one another. Several more came out of the doors of the building, followed by some more kids, and some more kids, etc.

Four others got out of the building. One of them was quickly walking faster than the others.

"Kira, wait up!" Ethan called out. He was followed behind Conner and Trent.

Kira's hair was matted down and wet. She was already having a bad day, but thanks to a trick Ethan had played on her, her hair had gotten all wet. Some of the water was dripping on her clothes.

"Kira!" The teenager said on pace side by side with the yellow ranger.

Kira Ford was ignoring Ethan. She wanted to get away from him after the latest prank Ethan had pulled.

"Kira! Wait!" Ethan looked at her.

The teenager in yellow stopped in her tracks and looked at the man. "Go ahead."

Ethan's face was that of a guilty man. He knew he had gone too far, especially with trying to mess around with Kira. "Look, I'm sorry. Okay?"

Kira's expression was still cold. She didn't flinch at all with the apology she just heard. "And?"

Ethan sighed. "And?"

"And that you're sorry for getting me wet?" Kira was direct and to the point.

"And yes, I'm sorry I got you wet," Ethan was like a little child while listening to his mom make him say an entire apology and not just saying the usual sorry, but to explain in full detail as to all that he did wrong.

Kira wasn't happy still, but she let up her guard just a little. "That's better. But you're still not off the hook, James."

Kira turned around, unfacing the teenager in blue and walked away. A small smile formed on her, a smile that showed she had gotten the upper hand.

Ethan stood and just stared at Kira who continued to walk. Conner and Trent managed to catch up to Ethan.

"I told her I was sorry," Ethan looked at the two.

"Just let her soak a little. She'll get over it," Trent offer some friendly advice.

"Besides, you know women," Conner added. "Er um, never mind. You don't know that much about them."

"Hey!" Ethan edged out a scornful look at the red ranger.

Trent smiled a little, standing behind Ethan as he continued to look at the red ranger. Ethan could not tell that Trent was amused at the playful jab that Conner gave Ethan about women. True, Trent didn't really know much about them himself, but that didn't stop him from trying to know Kira better.

Kira had managed to get at least half a football field away from the other three. As she continued to walk, she passed up Billy whom she didn't know, only by the video diary she saw earlier in the year.

As she walked passed him, she glanced back at him thinking she had seen him previously. As she stared at the man, she gazed at him with a perplexed look. Finally after shrugging it off, she decided to continue walking.

Billy however, did not know her or anyone or even where he was at the moment. This place was unfamiliar to him. It was not Angel Grove. He wasn't for sure what this place was called, but he was about to find out.

He walked nearby to a person. "Excuse me, I'm um, new in town, and my bus just stopped a little ways ago. Just what is this place called?"

The teenage, around Billy's age, looked at him funny like he was from another planet. "This is Reefside man."

"Ah yes, Reefside," Billy played dumb. "I've heard some great things about this place."

The teenager nodded. "Boy I say. I've been here my whole life, thought nothing was ever going to happen to this town, until the power rangers showed up."

"Power Rangers?" Billy looked at the teenager peculiar.

The teenager nodded. "Yea, the Dino Power Rangers. Red, white, blue, yellow, and black. I don't know where they came from, but I'm glad they're here."

The teenager moved passed Billy. Billy sighed. So there are power rangers here, at least five of them. But he had never heard of Reefside before. But then again, geography wasn't a strong point for Billy either. Is this Reefside even in California?

The question remained however of when. He had already got the where part. Perhaps there's a newspaper that can tell me.

Billy continued to walk. He eventually passed Ethan, Trent, and Conner whom didn't who he was obviously. Eventually Billy saw an electronic sign right next to a school. The sign said welcome to Reefside High, March 15th 2005.

"2005?" Billy exclaimed. "I went twelve years into the future from where I was previously?"

"What are you talking about Billy?" A robotic voice said.

Billy turned around to and saw Alpha 5. Billy also noticed he was back in the command center.

"What year is this?" Billy asked.

"It's 1995," Alpha was quick to respond. Though the robot didn't have any facial expressions or emotions, he'd been around humans for a while now and if some things weren't right, then he would be somewhat alarmed. "Is everything alright?"

"No. Zordon, Alpha, I think we have a problem," the blue ranger sighed.
