Command Center (season 3 of Mighty Morphin)

Despite the fact that Alpha did not have any emotions, his actions would seem to indicate that he was worried about Billy.

"What's going on?" Alpha questioned, unsure on what was going on with the blue ranger.

Billy looked perplexed as he looked at Alpha and then at Zordon. "I'm moving back in forth through time."

There was a brief moment of silence in the room. Neither anyone was saying anything from what Billy had said. This was a first for both Zordon and Alpha as neither one has encountered themselves or someone else moving though time. Sure, a year ago the power rangers did go back to the late 18th century because of the Wizard of Deception. Not to mention the clone of Tommy Oliver named Tom went back to that time to stay there. And sometime later Kimberly has managed to go back in time to the old west in the late nineteenth century but manage to get back to her time. But someone moving back in forth through time was new.

"Come again?" Was the only thing that had some through Alpha's voice box.

Billy didn't know where to begin. He wasn't even for sure if they would believe him or if he even believed what he was about to tell them.

"Look," Billy started, "I was here, just after I got hit by whatever it was when I was looking for a way to penetrate Zedd's dark dimension, and then I found myself back in nineteen ninety three a month after I became a ranger. Then I found myself sometime in the future where I was still in Angel Grove and saw five people fight off something called piranhatrons. And then I found myself in two-thousand and five in a place called Reefside."

"Ay, yi, yi! That's some story," Alpha called out.

Zordon wasn't for sure how to proceed. "Billy, I can't say something like this has happened before but if you are traveling through time, we need to find a way to stop your time shifting."

Billy heard Zordon but was lost in thought. "Reefside, Reefside."

Billy typed a few buttons to try to find where Reefside was. He looked at the information that was displayed.

"Huh," was his response once he found the answer. "About two hours away north east of here. But I wonder who dispatched the rangers there?"

"Billy," Zordon started. "You said that you saw people fighting something called piranhatrons, right?"

Billy nodded. "Correct. One of them even corned me before I attacked it."

"Alpha, begin a search of piranhatrons," Zordon instructed.

"Right away, Zordon," Alpha said as he started to punch of some information on the enemy Billy had fought. Within a few seconds, something came up.

"It says here piranhatrons are the footsoldiers known for the space pirate Divatox," Alpha reported. "Divatox! Ay, yi, yi, yi, yi!"

"You've heard of this Divatox?" Billy questioned Alpha.

"She's one bad villain. She's been known to ransack different planets for various treasures," Alpha said. "But what's she doing on Earth?"

Billy shook his head. "I'm not sure Alpha, and I'm not sure what time I was in when I encountered the piranhatrons. But I did notice I was in the Juice Bar and that the person who seemed to be running it was Lieutenant Stone."

"Bulk and Skull's police supervisor?" Alpha said.

Billy nodded. "The same one."

"That still leaves us as to how to stop you from time traveling to different parts in time," Zordon said.

"That escapes me as well," Billy said. "I'm just glad I told the both of you."

"Billy, Alpha and I will go through the database again and see if we can come up with a solution on trying to stop your time jumping. Until then, you may leave and get some rest," the mentor said.

Billy nodded. "This still has to come from when I was scanning for an opening in the dark dimension. I'm just not sure what it all means."

"Don't worry Billy," Alpha put a hand on the blue ranger's shoulder. "We'll find a way to help you."

Billy smiled at the artificial robot. So much has happened since Billy first met the fully sentient multifunctional automaton. Alpha didn't really know how to interact with humans or for anyone at the beginning. But somehow he managed to. He even acted as leader and mentor when Zordon was sent away thanks in part by Tommy when he was evil and working for Rita at the time. But somehow, Alpha came through when Billy and the others were down because of their current situation. Alpha had continued to learn and grow. He was an expert in interacting with the teens now than when he was at the beginning.

Billy felt a little better now he had told the two of his dilemma. True he is still prone to time jumping, but at least he had Zordon and Alpha on the job. If someone was going to find a solution to the problem, it would be them.

Billy had stepped out of the Command Center. The warm sun in the late afternoon was touching his eyes and skin. It felt good to him, like his body was in a state of calmness after a heavy workout or even a scientific project he had just completed.

He still did not know why he was time hopping, but hopefully he would be able to get that fixed so he could go about his daily routines. Afterall, he would hate to be caught up in the middle of a battle or doing something in school that would jolt him into another period of time when all of his thoughts and attention would be back to what he was doing before.

Billy tapped his communicator and a streak of blue flashed from the ground to the sky moving from the dessert in the middle of nowhere where the Command Center was at to back to the city.

Juice Bar

The Juice Bar was rallied with teenagers. Various people at the tables, some exercising, some at the bar.

Rocky DeSantos was seated at a table surrounded by Katherine Hillard and Aisha Campbell. Rocky was looking around, getting a little stir crazy.

"Where is he?" Rocky called out.

"Relax," Aisha said in a reassuring voice. "He'll be here."

Katherine nodded. "Yea, you know it takes a while to get this right."

A few moments later, for what it seemed like eternity, the person Rocky was looking for came walking towards the red ranger.

"Here we are," Ernie said as he handed a gigantic sandwich to Rocky. "My ultimate sandwich with all the trimmings."

Rocky smiled. He was a lot more calmer than he was before. "Thanks Ernie." Rocky smiled at the man.

"Let me know if you need anything else Rocky," Ernie walked away.

Rocky picked up his sandwich and looked at it like he just had won the lottery. "I've been wanting you for a while now?"

Aisha looked at Rocky. "And you're going to eat all of that?"

Rocky nodded. He didn't want to make any more small talk. It was time to eat his rather large sandwich.

Part of the sandwich made it's way inside Rocky's mouth. After some chewing and some swallowing, Rocky let out a little smile and a little satisfaction. "This is one heck of a sandwich."

Katherine looked oddly at the man. "I don't know who was worse, Tommy last week when he had that monster inside him making him eat everything or you."

That caused Aisha to laugh.

"What did you call that monster Aisha?" Katherine questioned.

"Rita's Pita," Aisha simply put.

As Rocky finished another bite, he spoke. "That monster was making Tommy's appetite large and eat everything on site. I on the other hand just want this sandwich."

Billy had entered the Juice Bar and saw his friends seated. He decided to join them. Also coming up to the table was Tommy and Adam. Tommy had just finished a karate class and Adam had just finished working out.

"How's the sandwich?" Tommy asked.

Rocky smiled. "The best."

Adam was a little amused. "That actually looks good right about now."

Rocky moved the sandwich closer to him in defense against Adam's comment. "Get your own sandwich. This one is mine."

Adam shook his head.

"So Billy," Katherine started. "Where have you been hiding yourself since after school?"

Billy turned his attention to the newest member of the team. "Been in the command center trying to find a way to penetrate the dark dimension so in case one of us gets trapped. We can simply log onto and teleport away from inside the command center."

"You sure have been spending a lot of time in there," Aisha said.

"Yea, if you weren't a ranger I could see you practically living in there," Rocky dryly added.

Billy smiled. "Maybe someday Rocko, but not today."

"Any progress on breaking through the dark dimension?" Tommy looked at the blue ranger who seemed to have all the answers to all things technical.

"Not yet," Billy stated. "Zordon told me to stop and come back again sometime later."

Billy had lied. In truth, he didn't know if he should tell his friends that he was now time jumping from one time period to another. Billy didn't think the team would even believe him though if they could fight intergalactic villains and monsters than can grow to the size of buildings, perhaps they would believe his problem.

"Time to finish this thing," Rocky began again to each the sandwich."

That caused the rest of the team to laugh at Rocky and his rather large appetite.

"What can I help you with Billy?" Another voice said.

Billy turned around and suddenly he was in the command center again. However, he was dressed in his clothing of overalls, the oversized shirt, and his thick glasses. He had time jumped again and was back in nineteen ninety three.
