Power Chamber (turbo season)
"Hey, you're the person I came to rescue," Carlos said recognizing Billy.
Billy simply nodded at the green ranger.
"But where did you go?" Asked Carlos. "By the time I went over to help you, you were already gone, and now you're here."
"Yo, yo, yo," Alpha Six grumbled. "I don't know how ya got here, but you ain't leaving."
Billy curiously looked at the bot. "Since when did you get a New York accent, Alpha Five? And what happened to your body. It's different"
The alarm was still going off. "Can someone shut that thing down!" Ashley raised her voice so she could be heard against the alarm."
Alpha tapped a button on a nearby console to shut off the alarm and then turned his attention back to the intruder. "Does it look like I'm Alpha Five to you, bub? The name's Alpha Six."
"Alpha…," Billy paused, "Six?" He looked at everyone, baffled. "What is this place, and who are all of you?"
"We're the power rangers," TJ exclaimed.
Billy wanted to laugh but didn't. "Excuse me? I don't remember you all being on my team. I'm the blue ranger."
"Hey, I'm the blue ranger!' Justin nearly yelled. All that excitement made him move which caused pain in his arm. "Oww," the blue ranger said looking at his arm. It was in a stint with a bandage over it since he was stabbed by Elgar.
"Perhaps our friend here needs to start with who he is since he says he's a power ranger," Dimitria said.
Here goes nothing, Billy thought. "Billy Cranston, blue Mighty Morphin Pow….."
"The Billy Cranston!" Justin said with excitement. He sounded like he had just won the lottery. "Tommy and the others told me about you. You were the brains of the team."
Billy looked at the young kid and smiled. The brains of the team, Billy thought. That's putting it mildly. "And just where are Tommy and the 'others'?"
"They left about five months ago," TJ answered the question. "It was suggested that it was time for them to step down and live their lives and follow their passions."
"We're they're replacements," the pink ranger said. "I'm Cassie, the pink ranger. That's Carlos, the green ranger. Ashley, the yellow ranger. Justin, the blue ranger. And TJ, the red ranger."
"And you all are still called the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers?" Billy questioned.
"No, we're the Turbo Power Rangers," Cassie simply stated.
"Turbo?" Billy looked at the pink ranger puzzled. "What year is this?"
"Nineteen ninety seven," Alpha reported.
So far, Billy started out in his own time, had jumped two years into the past when he had first been recruited to be a power ranger, had jumped to the year two-thousand and five to somewhere else that was not Angel Grove, and now he was told he was two years into the future from his present time. And what happened to the ninja power coins? And what are these turbo powers these rangers now have? And what happened to Zordon and Alpha Five? Billy had so many questions that needed answered.
Billy also just realized that he was wearing the same clothes he started out with from his time period, a blue tank top and shorts, the same clothing he also was wearing when he jumped to the year two thousand and five.
"Perhaps we need to let Billy in on what has been going on this past year alone," Dimitria said. "I'll start first. My name is Dimitria. I'm from the planet Inquiris."
She then proceeded to tell what had happened to Zordon, Alpha Five, the change from Tommy and the others to the new team and Justin being the lone original of the Turbo team that was still there and how he grew when he morphed, and their fight with Divatox and her minions. In return, Billy had told everyone how he was traveling through time from his year of nineteen ninety five, to two years in the past to where he first started out as a power ranger, to the year of two thousand and five and ended up in a city called Reefside where he had found out there were power rangers protecting that place. Billy had also told everyone that he was trying to find a way to get in Zedd's dark dimension when he got struck by an energy beam which he theorized is why he was traveling back and forth through time.
That still didn't answer the question of what happened to the power coins and why these people were using another source of power to aide them in their fight or what happened to the Command Center and if this was still called that.
Billy pressed on. "So why are you all using these co called 'turbo powers'?"
"I think I can answer that," Justin said. "The zeo powers weren't strong enough to combat Divatox and her forces. So Tommy and the others got an upgraded source of power. He and Adam said Zordon was the one who created the turbo powers and the new zords."
If it were easy for Zordon to create new powers, then why did he send everyone to the Desert of Despair to find Ninjor and his temple then, Billy thought which didn't make sense.
"Mind if I use the console to look up some information? Billy asked. "I need to brush up on my history?"
"But of course," Dimitria simply stated.
Billy tapped a few buttons and started looking at information showing up on a computer monitor on the console.
"Ninja power coins destroyed by Zedd and Rita after the Earth went back in time. Power rangers turned into kids because of that," Billy was talking to himself as the others were listening. Suddenly he thought of the plan of when Zedd had regressed the rangers as kids a year prior right before he married Rita.
"Zordon asking for help from the Alien Rangers of Aquitar to stop Zedd and Rita," Billy continued. "Rangers go on a quest to get the zeo powers and are successful and the Earth goes back to the present time. Command Center destroyed."
That had caused Billy to stop. "Command Center destroyed?" Billy suddenly looked around the room that he had gazed at ever so when he had first arrived. "So that's why this place looks different. Looks like where Zordon and Alpha made the white ranger when I stumbled upon them."
Billy continued and read how the Command Center was destroyed, that of by Goldar and Rito. The he proceeded to read even more.
"Tommy becomes the new red zeo ranger. Adam, green. Catherine, pink. Rocky, blue…" That caused Billy to pause. "Rocky became the blue ranger?"
"Yea, and then I replaced him when we got our turbo powers," Justin said as a matter of fact. "He got injured and messed up his back, so I replaced him after I overheard the other rangers talking to Zordon when they went to see Rocky in the hospital." Justin remembered that time fondly. "I was underneath Rocky's bed in the hospital when I overheard everything and found out he was a power ranger."
"You were underneath his medical bed?" Carlos looked at the kid suspiciously. "In the hospital?"
Justin shrugged. "I wanted to see him and then hid when everyone came in. I got scared."
Billy continued to read and found out that he became the zeo team's tech helper and helped the rangers behind the scenes. He also read that Aisha had stayed behind in Africa and sent Tanya over in her place with the yellow zeo crystal.
Billy also found out he had left to the planet of Aquitar when he was aging rapidly to get a treatment but decided to stay there.
But that did cause the blue ranger to ponder a question. "It says here I left to go to the planet Aquitar last year. If that's the case, then how come I am here and not there."
"Perhaps the Billy of this time period is over there," Dimitria pointed out.
"Then if I'm supposed to be over there and yet I'm here, then there might be two of me then?" Billy trailed off and then sighed. "You know what, I'm not even going to figure that one out. "I hate time traveling."
"Ah-yo, in any case, if you did tell the other two Zordons and Alphas, they're probably tryin' to find a way to stop this time travelin' mambo jumbo," Alpha retorted to Billy and to the others in the room.
"Well with one ranger down, we could use some help since you're here," TJ looked at the injured Justin who he knew would not be able to go out and fight again until his arm would heal which could be a number of weeks.
"That would be a good idea for the time being," Dimitria knew Divatox would be on the mound to try to take advantage of since one ranger was down.
"Divatox is probably planning on attacking us in some way since she knows we're vulnerable," Ashley had learned a lot in her short time as a power ranger. She knew Divatox was always on to her next scheme when the last one had failed or if something had happened to one or several of the rangers.
Billy nodded in agreement. He may not know this team like he knew the previous teams he was on, but one thing was for certain, these guys were power rangers. Once a ranger, always a ranger, Billy had thought.
