Translation at the request of the always cute YuriChan220, who after her comments on my Sono Hanabira fics came up with the idea of also translating this Yuruyuri OS. Yuri, I hope you like this translation, and also those who come to read here. Yuruyuri does not belong to me but to Namori-sensei.
A difficult rival
Akari was fast asleep. She didn't remember at what point, only that the night before she was watching a movie at home, in the company of two people who lately were competing to see who would be the one and only true girlfriend of the little redhead.
The two companions wake up at the same time and the first thing they see is Akari's face, which was even more touching (assuming that it is possible), and that intensified the infatuation of the two girls who were on either side of her.
─ Akari looks so cute like that ─ Kyouko thinks.
─… ─ says Rise.
─ I don't know what you said, but I'm telling you that you fell short ─ Kyouko attacks mockingly.
─ …
─ Do you know? It's a bit frustrating that I can't hear anything you say. I mean, you could even insult me in the worst way you can think of, and I wouldn't even notice.
─ …
─ I hope you haven't tested what I just told you.
─ …
Not wanting to argue anymore (because she couldn't understand anything Rise was saying) Kyouko had the idea of poking Akari's cheeks to see her reaction. It wasn't the first time she had done that, but it was something she couldn't get enough of. Rise by her side brings her body closer to Akari's to be able to feel the heat that she emitted, and that made her feel really comforted. Their actions soon come to wake Akari up, and she just yawns long before reaching out with both hands to hug her two girlfriends.
─ Good morning, Kyouko-chan, Matsumoto-senpai.
─ Heh, you named me first ─ says Kyouko with a tone of victory ─. I knew that I am your best girlfriend, Akari.
─ Best girlfriend? What are you talking about? ─ Akari just woke up to understand what the blonde was saying ─ I don't consider one better than the other. I love you both, and that's what really matters, Kyouko-chan.
─ …
─ I don't know what she said, but I tell you that I'm better off staying with Akari ─ Kyouko insists, although Matsumoto doesn't flinch.
─ Come on, you shouldn't fight each other ─ Akari covers both their mouths with a finger ─. We only have a couple of weeks and they can't live together.
─ …
─ Ehhh, the prez is right. It's impossible that we can share you just like that ─ says Kyouko without really being sure of what Rise said ─. Akari, I know it's not easy, but you have to decide on one of the two.
─ What? That's impossible, I love them equally, and Akari won't want to leave one alone, no matter how much she made the other happy.
─ …
This time Kyouko didn't know what to say, she didn't want to make Akari look bad, nor could she get an idea of what the president had said, so she settled for pouting and looking at other way. Regardless, Kyouko didn't feel comfortable sharing Akari with Rise. She needed to think of something to convince Akari to choose only her, and for Rise to go back the way she came. It is then that she comes up with something quite ingenious, although she would have to wait to put it into effect.
The next day
─ Let's see, you say you can't stand having to share Akari-chan with Matsumoto-senpai, and that you want to keep Akari-chan to yourself, right? ─ recounts Chinatsu after hearing Kyouko's story.
─ That's right, and you're the only one who can help me...
─ Forget it, Kyouko-senpai ─ cut Chinatsu coldly ─. I have no interest in the problem you have. In a moment I'm going on a date with Yui-senpai, and if I listen to you I'll lose the date and everything I've done to be a couple with her will be lost, so I recommend you find someone else who does have plenty of time to waste on you.
─ Please, Chinatsu-chan ─ Kyouko tries to hug her legs, but the pink-haired girl rejects her ─. I promise that if you help me I will never bother you again.
Chinatsu was about to leave when she processed what Kyouko had told her. Her expression of indifference is replaced by an evil smile as she turns to see the blonde.
─ I'll wait for you tomorrow at ten O'clock, and you better not make me wait, senpai.
The next day
Considering that Kyouko was serious about wanting to be the only one in Akari's life, incredibly, she arrived at the scheduled time and met Chinatsu, who had a notebook in her hands to take notes. From Kyouko's point of view, the beginning of that meeting seemed more like a session with a psychologist than to come up with a plan to get Rise away from Akari's side.
─ Let's see, Kyouko-senpai ─ Chinatsu begins to write down ─: You say you love Akari-chan, but at the same time you can't stand having to share her with Matsumoto-senpai, correct?
─ That's right ─ answers Kyouko firmly.
─ Well, I suppose that for that we would have to find a way for Akari to have preference over you, and the way to achieve it would be to show something in which you are much better than Matsumoto-senpai.
─ That's easy ─ boasts the blonde ─. I'm a much better artist than her. I highly doubt that she would put as much effort into drawing a doujin as I do so painstakingly.
─ You'll have to discard that, senpai ─ Chinatsu crosses out some notes and turns the page ─. Yesterday Matsumoto-senpai finished painting a mural behind the high school that only took her three days to complete, with little help from Nishigaki-sensei.
─ A wall? ─ Kyouko gets a little nervous ─ What kind of mural are we talking about?
Chinatsu takes out her cell phone, looks for the photo and shows it to the blonde, leaving her with her mouth open: It was a huge wall, judging that Matsumoto was almost a point on one side of it. The mural consisted of a panorama in which dozens and dozens of Nanamori students appeared doing any kind of activities: some appeared holding hands, others appeared participating in various studies concerning the academic activities of the high school, and a few who were at the top of the mural hung a huge ribbon that said "Welcome to Nanamori." Kyouko was completely dismayed, she couldn't see even the smallest detail of the wall to laugh of it. That was like a Sistine Chapel in a flat version.
Kyouko's mind
Rise appears in a completely black and empty space, when suddenly she makes a superheroine pose that was going to transform, and her whole body is surrounded by a series of plates that wrap her one by one with epic effects until she is dressed as if she were the controller of a mecha. Some brushes magically appear in her hands that she begins to spin at breakneck speed, then she makes a tremendous jump, and as she falls she moves the brushes from one side to the other several times, leaving these a wake as if they were cuts of a sword.
Once she hits the ground and drops to one knee in a rather epic fashion, Rise's brushes and special outfit fade in a soft flash, and then the president gets up and leans on a gigantic painting that she had created just at the moment of the jump and the fall. The painting consisted of herself and Akari giving each other a passionate kiss, with the border of the painting surrounded by flowers of a thousand different colors, and at the base of the painting there was a phrase that said "IN YOUR FACE, KYOUKO". Immediately afterwards, Akari magically appears in Rise's arms, dressed as a princess, and the president carries her away, until both disappear into the black background.
Back to reality
─ That's… terrible… ─ Kyouko was trembling from head to toe, and Chinatsu wasn't paying the slightest attention to her.
─ We have to find another way so that you can make Akari-chan consider you so special that she prefers you and not Matsumoto-senpai ─ says the yandere while she continued taking notes ─. Let's see, what other "quality" do you say you have?
─ Ermmm… I'm funny! When I put my mind to it I can be extremely funny.
─ Discarded ─ Chinatsu crosses out some notes again ─. From my point of view, you're not as funny as you want to pretend, and besides, you haven't seen Matsumoto-senpai telling a joke to the first-year girls.
─ A joke? But you can't hear a thing she says!
─ Believe me, senpai, she doesn't need to be heard to make us all fall from our seats laughing. Once Sakurako-chan was even caught off guard while she was drinking juice. She spent most of the afternoon cleaning the seats dirty from how hard she had laughed.
Kyouko saw that her love rival turned out to be much more difficult than she had ever imagined, and that worried her a lot. She grew increasingly fearful that Rise could take Akari from her at any moment, but she tells herself internally that she had to think positive, as it was the only way she could find that elusive formula that she needed so much.
─ Well… Let's see, let's see… I know all the episodes and movies of Mirakurun! To the right and the reverse! Do you think that works?
─ Not at all ─ answers Chinatsu without any delicacy ─. I don't know of anyone else who considers that a gift or something to be "better" at, and I don't think it's possible to compare anyway, since I don't know if the president has ever seen Mirakurun.
─ How boring it is. I can't imagine anyone who doesn't like Mirakurun.
─ I don't like Mirakurun, especially when you force me to cosplay her ─ Chinatsu remarks again.
Kyouko felt that her options were running out. She couldn't think of anything else she could use to defeat Rise and convince Akari that she had no one but Kyouko in her life. As if it were a slap in the face from life itself, the answer reaches Kyouko, who smiles broadly, which Chinatsu does not like at all.
─ That's it! ─ The blonde starts to jump very jubilant ─ It's so obvious and I hadn't realized it. It's the perfect way to beat the prez once and for all!
─ What do you mean, senpai?
─ What I have more than Rise. Something that she had never managed to have and that I do have...
─ Childhood friendship with Yui-senpai?
─ No, something even better. Guess, guess.
─ Leave the suspense and tell what it is that, according to you, allows you to surpass Matsumoto-senpai! ─ Chinatsu was eating the notebook out of desperation.
─ Presence, Chinatsu-chan. I'm talking about presence ─ Kyouko points out as if she had discovered the formula for eternal youth ─. I'll make use of my presence and shadow President Matsumoto so that Akari only looks at me. Isn't that a wonderful plan?
─ I don't know if it works in that sense, but you can try it if you want ─ Chinatsu closes her notebook with disappointment and puts it in the bag she was carrying ─. In any case, you must tread carefully. Matsumoto-senpai is not a dumb, and if you're not careful she'll find you out with no problem.
Kyouko gives Chinatsu a thumbs up as if to tell her that there was nothing to worry about, although the pink-haired girl doesn't feel confident at all. She at least did what she could, and she could count on Kyouko not continuing to bother her about petty nonsense.
Akari's House
In the light of the open window, and with some lightly salted potatoes on the side of her desk, Akari was having a good time going through her school notes to make sure she was up to date with everything, when Kyouko enters the room as quietly as possible. so her girlfriend wouldn't notice. Akari was about to find out that Kyouko is much better than Rise.
─ Guess who it is? ─ Kyouko covered Akari's eyes so she wouldn't see her, although her singsong voice was much more than obvious.
─ Come on, Kyouko-chan ─ Akari uncovers her eyes and looks directly at the blonde ─. I hadn't heard you arrive. Did you do it to surprise me?
─ You guessed it very easily ─ Kyouko sits on Akari's legs and wraps her arms around her neck ─. I just couldn't stand being away from you for so long, darling ─ she kisses her chastely but full of feeling ─. You don't know… ─ she kisses her again ─ how much… that… I need you.
─ You're really sweet, Kyouko-chan ─ Akari hugs Kyouko's waist while allowing her to kiss her ─. I hope you haven't done any mischief with something of mine, that you know your kisses aren't going to work.
─ Trust me it's not that, Akari ─ Kyouko pulls Akari closer so as to bury her face between her underdeveloped breasts ─. It's just that my heart beats out of control for you. Do you feel it, Akari?
─ Y-yes, it beats pretty hard, Kyouko-chan ─ Akari replies somewhat embarrassed at being with half her face crushed against Kyouko's chest ─. It's also really warm, but it's a bit embarrassing to be like that.
─ There's no need to worry, we're girlfriends, Akari ─ Kyouko glances back, and Rise was at the door, who had also just arrived unannounced (or at least no one heard her introduce herself).
Rise didn't even move a muscle as she watched Kyouko capitalize on the occasion, and less than a minute later she finally reacts by raising a hand, knuckles of her index and middle fingers together, then knocking on the door behind her. A lapidary hit on behalf of the president, because Akari did not hesitate to look and find her other girlfriend.
─ Oh, welcome, Matsumoto-senpai ─ Akari asks Kyouko to get up so she could get up too ─ Could you bring the notes I asked you to help me with my studies?
─ … ─ Rise takes out some old notebooks from the bag she was carrying, and in this way Akari and Kyouko managed to understand for the first choice, for the first time in their lives, what Rise had said.
─ Great ─ Akari approaches the president and plants a sweet kiss on her lips, making her blush.
Kyouko was chattering her teeth quite annoyed as she watched the president steal Akari's attention at that moment. Rise looks back at her for a moment, sticking her tongue out at her and turning her attention back to Akari. That was a true declaration of war in Kyouko's opinion, and she wasn't willing to lose it for the world.
The next day
This time Akari and her two girlfriends were in the park having a nice time. Kyouko really had a good time being by Akari's side, but she didn't like that Rise was on the other side, all caramelized, even though she didn't say anything (or couldn't hear anything). She had to beat her right now, or she could tarnish the evening with Akari. Kyouko looks in all directions, looking for what she could be of use to, but there didn't seem to be anything, so she had to put her brain to work harder to at least know if she had a chance to improvise. And then, as if from heaven, Nishigaki-sensei appears with a strange device in her hands, and she was approaching the yuri trio.
─ Ohayo, girls ─ greets the sensei calmly ─. Matsumoto, I need you to help me for a moment with this invention. I'm still trying to figure out what it's for, and I can't get it to respond in any way.
─ …
─ Yes, I did it that way ─ Akari and Kyouko felt lost from the beginning of the conversation ─. I can't get an answer anyway. Could you help me? It'll just be a moment, and then you can go back to your date.
Rise gives in to the sensei's request, but before walking away she gives Akari a little kiss, and seconds later she was with Nana testing the invention from the other side of the park. Kyouko doesn't miss the opportunity to wrap her arms around Akari's waist to make sure she's as close to her as possible.
─ Isn't the day beautiful, Akari?
─ Well, it's true, it is ─ answers the smiling redhead.
─ But it would be much more if I could have the mark of your lips on mine ─ Kyouko stares at Akari's face and approaches her to cloud her mind with her kiss.
Akari gets carried away easily and kisses Kyouko quite passionately, and Kyouko hopes that the kiss will be good enough for Akari to make up her mind and leave the president once and for all. Neither of the two seemed to remember that they were in a park, in full view of many people, and Himawari and Sakurako casually passed among those people, and both stare at the scene.
─ Look at that, Himawari. Akari-chan and Toshino-senpai are…
─ Small and immature girls should not see this! ─ Himawari covers Sakurako's eyes and makes her walk.
─ But I want to see! It's so boring that your boobs grow so much!
Akari and Kyouko would never realize the aforementioned, the moment they had did not allow it. Both finally feel that their bodies demand some air and they separate, and just at that moment a tremendous explosion occurs in the park that scares everyone who was there.
The explosion came from exactly where Rise and Nana were, and Akari gets very scared thinking that the president might have been harmed, so she gets up and runs into the colossal cloud that had formed there.
─ ¡ Matsumoto-senpai! Matsumoto-senpai!
─ Wait, Akari! It could be dangerous! ─ Kyouko can't stop her girlfriend, and that makes her feel defeated again ─ Damn, once again the prez has ruined the moment for us.
Kyouko also enters the cloud and runs in a straight line until she reaches the center of the explosion, where Akari was also, and in front of them were also the president and the sensei.
─ Don't worry, girls. Everything's fine ─ says Nana as she tried to brush away the smoke with one hand ─. The explosion was more noise and smoke than anything else. We're fine, right, Matsumoto?
─ ... ─ That didn't convince Akari and Kyouko at all, since they didn't hear anything.
─ Do you see it? She is perfectly fine ─ the sensei smiles and gropes on the ground in search of the remains of her invention ─. Nothing happens. I guess I'll have to make a few adjustments to my invention, and maybe that way I'll be able to find out what it's for. Well, I guess Matsumoto is all yours. I hope you have a good time.
The three teenagers watch as the sensei disappears into the smoke, and then they thought that it would be best if they left too. And so, Kyouko fails again in trying to make Akari forget about Rise to look only at her.
A week later
─ Didn't we agree that you wouldn't bother me if I helped you, Kyouko-senpai?
─ It didn't work. It really didn't work ─ Kyouko sighs.
─ I told you that you should be careful ─ Chinatsu brings two cups of tea, and both begin to drink ─. I told you that Matsumoto-senpai was not stupid, that you shouldn't trust yourself. Do you think that Matsumoto-senpai became president by finding the title in a cereal box?
─ I once got the Mirakurun school president's sash in the same way. I thought it was more or less the same thing ─ confesses Kyouko.
Chinatsu gives herself a facepalm and looks at Kyouko as if she can't believe it. Kyouko sighs between sips of her tea, as she no longer had any ideas on how to get all of Akari's attention without Rise ruining everything. Chinatsu for her part enjoyed the tea and the way the wind moved her hair, making it obvious that she no longer took Kyouko's drama into account at all.
─ It's still early. Yui-senpai still must not have left her house ─ Chinatsu looks at the watch she had ─. Now back to what should only concern you, Kyouko-senpai, I think it's enough to do foolish things to gain Akari-chan's attention. You've already shown too many signs to Matsumoto-senpai, so I don't think you'll be able to beat her even if we come up with something clever, because she must be mistrusting you too much.
─ How can love be such a complicated thing, Chinatsu-chan? ─ lamented Kyouko ─ I'm madly in love with Akari, but I don't like it when she occupies her attention in the prez. Why didn't she just stay with Nishigaki-chan, as we all thought at first? Now I don't know how to get it off of her.
─ I say you shouldn't tighten the rope too much ─ Chinatsu finishes the tea and then looks seriously at Kyouko ─. If you take this too far, I'm warning you, you're going to be up to no good. The first possible thing is that Matsumoto-senpai wants to respond to your attempts with evil, and if that happens there is nothing you can do against her. Matsumoto-senpai is too much for us, and even more so if she faces her alone. The second possibility is that Akari-chan realizes that you are trying to get rid of Matsumoto-senpai, and that might not please her very much, with how sensitive she is, and you would risk even not wanting to be with you anymore, so I tell you that you must be careful.
─ But you fought Yui with zeal, and look how you are with her ─ remembers Kyouko.
─ Because it's good for me to do it that way, but you won't be able to, and that's why you shouldn't try it ─ answers Chinatsu with annoyance ─. I say you have to accept that Akari-chan is in love with both of them, or you'll have to find someone smarter to help you get rid of Matsumoto-senpai. There is no more choice, Kyouko-senpai.
Kyouko also finishes her tea and gets up from there to carry out something new that she had thought of. Chinatsu isn't even interested in knowing what was going on in the blonde's head, she gives more importance to washing the two cups and looking at the time again.
Akari's House
Akari and Rise were reading a fantasy novel, which Akari quite loved, and the president would occasionally shift her attention to look at Akari's face, and that was enough for her to smile slightly. Neither of them knew how long they'd been at it, and it's not like they gave it that much importance, when Kyouko arrives in a normal way for the first time in her life.
─ Akari, we have to talk right now.
─ Is something wrong, Kyouko-chan? ─ Akari gets up and approaches Kyouko concerned ─ I see you a little bad.
─ It's just that there's something that has me like this, and it's that I can't bear to share you ─ confesses Kyouko ─. I know that you love us very much, that you love us with everything you have and more, but she makes me jealous every time you give in to the prez for a while.
─ … ─ says Rse.
─ I don't know what she said exactly, but I'm sure she's the same as me ─ continues Kyouko ─. That's how I put it, Akari: You are my girlfriend or her girlfriend. I know you don't like that, but we can't go on like this.
Rise then gets up and puts a hand on Akari's shoulder, who starts to look quite concerned. For a moment it looked like Akari was going to cry over Kyouko's ultimatum, and that made her feel bad too, but she felt that she had to be strong if she wanted that rivalry to come to an end.
─ …
─ Ehhh… ─ Kyouko finally finds the solution in taking a notebook from Akari and giving it to Rise ─ Better write down what you have to say, I can never hear anything from you. I don't know how Nishigaki-chan manages to understand everything you whisper.
Rise takes the notebook and starts to write down what she wanted to say to Kyouko, she gives her what she had written to read, and Kyouko is moved when she sees it.
─ …
─ Prez, was that really what you wanted to tell me? ─ Rise just nods, Kyouko looks back at the notebook ─ And I was foolish thinking that you were also thinking of keeping Akari for yourself, and it turns out that you are even willing to give up Akari so that I don't get hurt and that it never bothered you share Akari's love… Why didn't you say anything, prez? ─ Rise narrows her eyes, giving Kyouko an angry look ─ I'd better leave it at that. This is too much for me, it's even stronger than the time Mirakurun almost lost to Rivalun. Now I understand the reason why Akari also loves you so much and she prefers to stay with both: so that one is the sensual and funny one, and the other is the loyal and intelligent one. I'm so sorry, prez.
Kyouko and Rise give each other a big hug, and Akari immediately joins in and wraps them both in affection while kissing them both. Now that she knew that the only one who saw rivalries and all that nonsense was herself, Kyouko had understood that Rise only wanted the two of them to make Akari happy and to stop that silly fight between them. The rest of the day served for Kyouko to get more used to cooperating with Rise and being nice to her, and with that she was able to better understand her fellow girlfriend.
The next day
Kyouko and Rise were at the park again, and both of them were waiting for Akari to arrive to start their date. Kyouko told Rise various things that had to do with Mirakurun, and Rise not only paid attention to her, but even asked Kyouko for some doujinshi that she had brought to read. The different stories that Rise read aroused her fascination, even though she couldn't say anything that was audible to Kyouko.
─ …
─ I didn't understand anything, but I assure you that if you watch the anime you'll really get hooked ─ Kyouko keeps all her creations in her bag and looks at the time for a moment ─. We still have about ten minutes to go, surely Akari will show up at any moment, and this time I'll do my best by your side to make this date the best of all. I guess now we can prove to be a great team, prez.
Not far away were Yui and Chinatsu, who were also enjoying their date, and Yui was carrying a bag with a couple of huge takeout containers.
─ That was a lot… I don't think I'll ever eat anything again ─ says Chinatsu rubbing her belly.
─ We really have ordered too much to eat ─ Yui sits on a bench and puts down the bag she was carrying ─. I did not imagine that in that restaurant they served everything for two people. At least we would have saved the dessert...
─ Now what do we do with all that leftover food? There's no way I can eat for the rest of the day, Yui-senpai.
─ I guess I'll have to give this to the first of our friends we see. With any luck she will be able to eat all this ─ Yui thinks somewhat amused.
─ You're right, Yui-senpai ─ the yandere gives in ─. By the way, can you imagine if Kyouko-senpai knew what we have here? She would go crazy if she saw that we had almost half a liter of rum raisin...
That conversation came to be heard by Kyouko and Rise, who exchange glances for a moment, until...
─ The first one to arrive eats it with Akari! ─ Kyouko runs out first, and Rise stares at her with something funny. That rivalry invented by Kyouko was still alive.
The end
That's it, this is the first Yuruyuri OS that I upload in English. Once again, I hope you enjoyed it, Yuri. Whenever you want and whatever you want I present it to you.
