Chapter 3 "Cattle Drive"
It was nighttime the second day of camp everyone was having a camp fire Noah was telling everyone a camp story about dinosaurs attack.
"It was nighttime it was dark, cold, and wet then inside the kitchen a raptor found us and prepared for a feast." Noah said.
Out of nowhere Summer had her phone taking pictures of the campfire "Oh sorry." Summer apologized.
Noah got annoyed.
"Hey should we get Yaz over here?" Sammy asked.
Yaz was drawing something.
"Maybe she wants to be left alone?" Summer guessed.
"I don't understand." Sammy said.
"It's when somebody wants to be by themselves." Crash said.
Sammy laughed "Oh Jeff you're such a joker all she needs is someone to help push her out of her shell." Sammy said.
Rain pouring down "Story time inside?" Noah asked.
"Yep." Everyone said together.
"I got a deck of cards if anyone wants to play." Summer said.
"I'm in." Noah said.
"I'm going to bed." Crash said.
Yaz was sitting alone on the couch with a book "My pages got wet." Yaz said, trying to dry them.
Sammy came out of nowhere "You need a friend!" she said.
"What?" Yaz asked.
"I'm such a ding-dong you're alone and when I feel alone I sure could use a friend and you sure could and so I thought "Wait Yasmina just needs someone to make the first friendship" so here I am!" Sammy said.
"I lost you at 'ding-dong'". Yaz said.
"Is that a scrapbook? I love scrapbooking we should make one together pull you out of your shell." Sammy said.
"I'm pretty happy in my shell." Yaz said.
"No one happy in their shell it stops people from getting to know you!" Sammy said.
Bingo!" Yaz said.
She walked away "I know you're just shy!" Sammy said.
Yaz was holding her scrapbook tight to her chest arms cross around it "Can't hear you my shell!" she said.
"I'm not giving up!" Sammy said.
Yaz smiled a bit.
The morning everyone were in a valley there were Brachiosaurus, Apatosaurus, Gallimimus, Stegosaurus, Sinoceratops being herded by park personal "Alright everyone today we get go on a cattle drive but with dinosaurs a dino drive." Dave said.
"Let's roll!" Noah said with excitement.
"I'm with you!" Summer said.
Yaz got into her gyrosphere she buckle in "This is going to be so sick." she said.
"Right?" Sammy asked.
"And now we're in a shell together a shell for two." Sammy said, buckling in.
"Yeah." Yaz said, without as much joy.
"Who am I getting partnered with?" Crash asked.
"You're going to join with Ben." Roxie said.
Ben tested the gyrosphere he wasn't buckled in and hit face first into the mirror of the gyrosphere Crash was just annoyed.
The three gyrospheres went off sticking to the sides Sammy tried to connect with Yaz again "So what's you favorite food? favorite color? Favorite color of food?" Sammy asked.
"Orange, orange, and orange." Yaz said.
"You're such a kidder!" Sammy laughs.
What do you and your friends do for fun back at home?" Sammy asked.
"I train quietly alone." Yaz answered.
In Noah and Summer's gyrosphere Noah enjoyed seeing the dinosaurs Summer was getting text messages from her parents "Are you having fun?" she read a text.
"Did you find anything awesome?" She read a text.
"Did you know a Anklyosaurus is strong enough to shatter a human's body?" Noah asked.
"Sorry what?" she asked.
In Ben and Crash's gyrosphere Ben was driving slowly "So I'm guessing you're gonna drive safety and slowly?" Crash asked.
"Yep." Ben said.
Out of nowhere a Sinoceratops charged at Noah and Summer and everyone went after them Crash found enjoyment out of a chase so he takes control of his gyrosphere much to Ben's dismay.
Yaz took control of her gyrosphere but unfortunately everyone got lost in the jungle
Ben and Crash's gyrosphere got turned upside down.
Summer and Noah got in a sinking mud hole.
Yaz and Sammy were clearing their gyrosphere of sticks.
"At least this will give us some time to know each other." Sammy said.
"Yeah uh let's do that later." Yaz said.
"Hey guys we're gonna need help!" Noah said.
Yaz grabbed her earpiece "Where are you guys?" She asked.
"We're sinking in mud." Summer said.
"We're on our way!" Sammy said.
"Come on we got to keep clearing these logs." Yaz said.
She got a idea "No we need to make a ramp." she said.
The two made a ramp over the giant tree log and Yaz drove the gyrosphere onto the ramp and over the log Sammy tried calling over the earpiece "Anyone there?" Sammy called.
Yaz got surprised when she saw Crash and Ben walking in the jungle Crash got out of the way and Ben just hold on tightly to him he tried removing Ben from him "How is your grip so strong?" Crash asked.
"What happened to you guys?" Sammy asked.
"Gyrosphere crashed and we're just walking like idiots." Crash said.
Yaz and Sammy looked at each other knowing what they might have to do.
Put four people into one gyrosphere and eveyrone was cramped in "Remind me to never come back here or get into a gyrosphere with three people." Crash said.
They arrived where Noah and Summer. Yaz and Crash tried lifting the gyrosphere out but it's too heavy for them Ben freaked out as the Sinoceratops returned.
Sammy raised her hand out to the Sinoceratops "It's okay we're not gonna hurt you." she said.
Yaz got her hair messed up and her jacket right arm shoulder got torn Sammy placed her hand onto the Sinoceratops horn. "Wow." Yaz said, impressed with Sammy.
She tied a rope around the Sinoceratops and used it like a bull lifting the gyrosphere out of the mud Noah and Summer were saved.
Roxie and Dave found them Yaz just laughs for saving the boys Sammy joined her.
At night everyone returned to the camp. It was raining Sammy was on the balcony Yasmina walk to her side holding her scrapbook "Hey." she said.
Sammy didn't answer "Look if everyone had just listen to you. If I have listen to you none of this would have happened." Yaz said.
Sammy smiles "I'm not so great at trusting people. My favorite color is black, my favorite food is pizza." she said.
Yaz gives Sammy her scrapbook "This is what I was doing earlier." Yaz said.
Sammy grabbed it and opened it showing drawings of dinosaurs. "I started drawing to kill time during track meets I'm not really that good so you probably won't like them." Yaz said.
"I don't like them." Sammy said.
Yaz thought she was right.
"I love 'em! I knew we were going to be best friends!" Sammy hugs Yasmina.
"I'm not really much of a hugger." Yasmina said.
"You are now!" Sammy said.
Yasmina give a small hug.
The two watched the rain fall "You don't give up at all don't you?" she asked.
"Never for friendship!" Sammy said.
Yasmina smiles knowing she made her first friend.
