Jakob
"So, what now, Dom?"
"No one outruns their past. And yours just caught up to you."
The cell door shut.
Tej
"Man. There is literally zero industrial or weapons grade electromagnets I can find that are this powerful." I told Ramsey, pointing at the giant electromagnet.
"Look at the pull strength level here. It's crazy."
"Yeah."
I scoffed.
"Wait, watch this." I whispered.
Roman was eating.
I powered up the electromagnet.
It took his bowl and fork.
I turned it off, dropping it all on the floor.
Ramsey and me laughed.
Roman stared.
"Every time. I can't believe it." I commented.
"What are you doing, bruh? I'm hungry."
Dom
"Hey, guys." It was Letty.
Roman sighed.
"Oh, damn."
"Surprise." She told them.
Mia was behind Letty.
"Nice clubhouse."
I turned around.
It was Han.
Tej stared.
He started to walk over to him.
Tej and Han hugged.
"Sup, man?" Tej questioned.
He laughed as he broke the hug.
"Nice to meet you." A girl greeted, shaking Tej's hand.
Roman felt him to make sure he was real.
I was walking over to Han.
"So, you got my postcard, huh?" He questioned.
I brought Han into a brotherly hug.
Jakob
I watched as Han and Dom were hugging.
It was the way he used to hug me.
The metal clanked as I slid the small opening closed.
Dom
Roman sighed.
"I'm just still trying to figure out... How are you still alive?"
"Well, after Gisele died... I didn't know what to do. I was aimless. Lost."
"Absolutely. But can you get to the part where the car exploded and you're still alive? Like, I'm trying to..." He questioned.
"Roman, can you... Can you just be quiet for one minute?" Tej questioned.
"We made plans. We had dreams. You know, it's funny. Gisele led me there and I wasn't even looking for it. But it became home. Then one day, Mr. Nobody came calling. And all I knew was that I had to steal some tech from the home of a scientist couple. But as usual... Mr. Nobody didn't tell me everything. In fact, he left out the most important part."
Han looked over at the girl.
"I was 11. My parents would take me to the movies on Saturdays if I tried hard in school during the week. I was so excited to go I forgot my raincoat, so I went back in. At first, I didn't see it. By the time I looked out the window... Mom and Dad were gone."
"Turns out I wasn't the only one looking for this thing."
"Han saved me. Wouldn't leave me behind. He knew I'd always be a target so he taught me how to survive. We became a family."
"Always be a target?" Why?" Tej questioned.
"Cause she is the key. Everybody's been looking for a thing. It was a person all along." I concluded.
"My parents didn't want Project Aries to fall into the wrong hands, so they locked it with their own DNA, something we share."
"And then, one day, Mr. Nobody gave me the heads-up that one of his best Agents went rogue. So, when Deckard Shaw came calling, we used it as cover."
"But you got killed in a car crash, Han." Roman pointed out.
"Mr. Nobody had a way of making things look real. My death..."
"Became the best way to stay alive."
Alarms buzzed.
"What's happening?" Tej questioned Ramsey.
"It's some kind of hidden subroutine the system follows."
Jakob
I smirked as I heard the alarms buzzing.
Dom
There was urgent chatter.
Multiple people entered the Bunker including Otto.
All of them had guns.
They were aimed at us.
One of them opened Jakob's cell.
"That's it. Right there. Yeah, nobody moves... Everybody lives." Otto told us.
He came out of the cell.
"Jakob." Mia called his name.
"I'm sorry, Mia."
Jakob sounded sincere when he talked to her.
He stood a few feet away from me.
"I was the rogue Agent. Me. Dom, you ever think about how Mr. Nobody found you? Think he just dropped out of the sky and chose you? I ran missions with Mr. Nobody out of this place for years."
Jakob sighed.
"I've been looking for that key for a long time, Dom. And you just handed her over. I told you. This is my world."
He walked around me.
"Got it." Otto told Jakob, handing him the other half of Aries.
He sighed.
"Got a lot of guys here. You trust them?"
"Trust this." Jakob told me, showing me the half of Aries.
I stared straight ahead.
"You know the only good thing to come from Dad dying?"
Mia looked up since she was looking at the floor.
"If he hadn't, I'd have spent my entire life in your shadow. And now you're gonna spend the rest of yours living in mine."
He walked away from me.
"Only good thing about Dad dying..."
Jakob paused.
"Was he didn't have to watch what you became. You never deserved the Toretto name."
He marched over to me.
"You think you knew Dad, huh?"
Jakob was in my face.
"What? Cause you were his favorite? You don't know shit! Okay? You want the truth?"
Mia was looking on.
"Dad died cause he was trying to throw that race. We were in deep debt. Cause of how he felt about you, he had to ask me for help. How was I supposed to know that car was gonna blow?"
"A good son would've said no. And a real brother would've come to me."
"Come to you?"
He chuckled.
"He made me promise you would never find out. And through all of it... I kept that promise."
He walked away from me.
They aimed their guns again.
"The girl comes with me." Jakob ordered.
"Jakob!" I called.
He turned around.
"I will stop you. And that's my promise."
Jakob
"You should take one of the girls closest to Dom. Hurt him as much as he's hurt you." Otto suggested.
"If you touch either of them, you'll regret it. Trust me when I say that."
I discreetly motioned to the guard behind Mia to grab her.
He grunted as she pinned his arms behind his back in one swift motion.
"Didn't your father teach you not to lay your hands on females?"
Dom looked over at Mia.
"I remember my Dad teaching my brothers not to lay their hands on females."
"Because we kept roughing you up. He was getting sick and tired of it."
"That's why you don't grab females. Why you never have." Otto pointed out.
"Yeah. I don't lay my hands on females."
"No. You just have people do it for you."
Mia grunted as the guard hit her in the face with his shoulder.
It sent her backwards into the stone wall.
Mia grunted as she slammed her head into it.
She jumped on the guard's back.
He was trying to shake Mia off him.
She wasn't having it.
The guard slowly sank to his knees.
He passed out.
Mia slid out from underneath the guard.
Dom smirked.
"That's my girl."
She laughed.
"Sue."
"What am I supposed to do with her?"
One of the guards took the girl from him.
Mia got in a fight with Sue.
She grunted as he flipped her on her back.
Mia had slammed her head into the floor.
She put her hand on the back of her head, sitting up.
Blood seeped through Mia's fingers when she brought them out in front of her.
She quickly got back up.
Sue grunted as Mia elbowed him in the face with her elbow as he put her in a headlock.
"You've made a terrible assumption in thinking my brother and father didn't teach me to fight. To defend myself against people. And to fight back against my brothers when they were being jerks."
She ran off.
I grunted angrily.
"Jakob!" Otto called as I jumped over the railing.
I ran after Mia.
"You better hide from me, Mia!"
I was searching for her.
I was checking everywhere since Mia was skinny and small enough to hide anywhere in here.
I found her.
Mia was hiding in a cabinet.
I pulled her out.
"Your game is over now."
"You're not in charge of me. That's the magic of Dad appointing Dom legal guardian of me and you."
"He made a mistake choosing Dom."
"Fuck you."
I dragged Mia with me.
She was fighting against me.
"Dom!"
Guards were holding Dom back.
I dragged Mia out of the bunker with me.
"I will never help you."
"So you say."
