A/N: Something things you need to know so you don't get confused about the story.
Where Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and the Justice League inhabit, it's not Earth they live in. It's in planet Kaiba. Its species are known as Hyliansapiens, so in other words Flash, Hal Jordan, Oliver Queen, Black Canary, in this story their specie is Hyliansapiens. They are all the same as their comic counterparts, except Batman. But species like Superman, Supergirl, Starfire, Hawkgirl, all the other people who aren't the same specie as Green Arrow or Hal Jordan, their species are the same.
This idea is made because I didn't want to write any stories taking place in Earth. I hope you respect my decision.
This story takes place after the events of Young Justice Season 4, although some events did not happen in this timeline. Zod was already Superman's enemy around his first years, not later years. But Zod did lead a group of Kryptonians to attack Metropolis and once tried to get Superboy to kill Superman. And Miss Martian and Superboy did get married.
Something crashes down in Gotham with several pieces about to crash on the city. The Justice League immediately respond. Superman, Wonder Woman and her proteges, the Green Lanterns, and some other heroes took action intending to stop this thing from crashing killing sentients in this planet.
In the Batcave, Batman saw the Justice League destroying the falling fragments. Normally he wouldn't allow the Leaguers to get involved in Gotham, but in situations such as falling ships Bruce will make an exception.
"Enjoying the show, Master Bruce."
Batman knew it was Alfred walking toward him, he didn't need to look to confirm he was here. The Bat family are scattered all over Gotham since the emergence of a falling ship. "I'm waiting for them to get out of my city.", he said mildly.
"One of those events, Master Bruce, you may need to consider using sorcery-"
"Not now, Alfred.", Batman said as he watches a falling ship emerging from the skies.
"Very well, Sir.", Alfred said. He turns away. "Just know your Batwing is ready when you need to leave.".
Batman took note of it, and continued observing the falling ship. The Justice Leaguers have reached the ship, trying to slow the crashing. As Bruce examines the ship, he started to have some familiarity with the structure of the ship until his mind flashed with a memory of a ship he use to go on a long time ago. "It can't be!", Batman exclaimed.
Alfred stopped, hearing Bruce's surprised tone. He turned, and saw Batman riding the Batwing. He uses the Batwing to fly out of the Batcave. To soon, Master Bruce. He wonders why Batman left the Batcave already.
Batwing flies toward where the ship is about to fall. Bruce feels like he knows who is in that ship.
Centuries ago...
"Hero of everything, said by many to be the Chosen One that will seal the darkness and bring peace to the Multiverse, after years of being Obi-Wan Kenobi's padawan, you have been ranked to knighthood for showing your unflinching bravery and skill in the face of darkness and adversity. And have proven yourself worthy to take command of a legion of Clone Troopers to fight the Separatists, and be my knight.", Zelda says her speech calmly, though her tone hints doubt over the boy he says to. She takes a breath as she looks at the boy who will protect her. Princess Zelda then continues her speech.
The Jedi Masters surround Princess Zelda and the boy. They notice the Princess's tone.
"Princess Zelda knows we already lost.", one of the Jedi Masters said.
"It's because she doesn't have faith in the boy.", Obi-Wan said.
"Wasn't this your idea?", Mace Windu said, reminding Obi-Wan he brought the idea out this boy should be ranked to knighthood and be the princess's protector. "Your faith in the Padawan is clouded by the promise you made to Qui-Gon Jinn, was it not?".
"It once was, but I now began to see why Master Qui-Gon was interested in the boy. Over the years of training him, he has shown unique characteristics that prove he should be upranked. He is ready for the challenges ahead. And the more time we waste, the greater the chances the Republic will fall... along with the Jedi Order.", Obi-Wan said. Mace Windu responded by giving him a look of doubt before staring at the boy.
"I have faith in the boy.", Dumbledore said. "He will be the light that outshines the darkness. Bruce Skywalker.".
"Princess Zelda thinks the opposite.", one of the Jedi Masters said.
"She believes Bruce Skywalker to be a living reminder of her own failures.", Dumbledore said. "At some point she will need to realise just how important Skywalker is to her, to the Jedi Order, and to the Republic.".
Princess Zelda finally ends her speech. She gazes at Bruce Skywalker again in sadness. Sadness she has not gained since seeing the death of sentients by the Dark Lords.
The Present...
The Justice League successfully stop the ship from crashing the buildings of Gotham. They lowered the ship safely to the ground. All the Leaguers gathered in front of the spacecraft's doors. Cassie Sandsmark aka Wonder Girl, Blue Beetle, Black Canary, Shazam, Hal Jordan and John Stewart, the Flash, Red Tornado, the Bat family and Wonder Woman. Superman stood in the front preparing for whatever comes out of the ship.
The ship finally opened, revealing soldiers dressed in armor with blue markings. They are wielding blasters. The Justice League had a feeling they might attack, and they don't realise who they are dealing with.
"Superman, let us know when to attack.", Wonder Woman advised. As the Justice League get into fighting stances, a dark figure landed right in front of Superman.
"Batman?", Superman exclaimed in surprise.
Batman raised himself on upright position. "STAND DOWN!", Batman ordered as he gestures the Justice League to stop.
The Leaguers are surprised. Why would Batman tell them to not attack?, everyone wonders.
"The voice shows confidence and command.", a female voice resonated around the area.
Bruce recognises feminine voice. Is it really her? He gazes at the Clone Troopers as they clear the way for someone to pass them. Batman sees a woman walking toward him.
The Justice League also see her. The Leaguers assumed this woman is their leader because she walks alone with no one near her.
The woman's skin color is pink and she has pinkish-red hair. She wears a tight sleeveless turtleneck top, robes and earrings. Bruce immediately knew who it is. He took a step back as the woman is approaching him. Justice League noticed Batman seems to be shocked. Normally his expression is always blank. In this case it's changed in the presence of a pretty woman.
The lady finally stopped in front of Batman. "It's been years since we last met...", the woman said. She smirks in a pleasant way. "...Bruce Skywalker.".
The Justice League are more shocked once they learned this woman knows Batman's secret identity. Is she a telepath like Miss Martian and Martian Manhunter? And why did this woman call Batman 'Skywalker'?
"Have you been working out?", the woman said softly as she strokes Batman's chest.
Batman gripped the woman's hand stopping her stroke. "Why are you here...", Batman asked. He showed a serious expression. "Zelda."
Shayera Hol is surprised. "No way, Zelda as in Queen Zelda?", Shayera cried out in surprise.
Some Leaguers knew the name 'Zelda'. But they never met her face-to-face, nor did they know what she looks like.
Zelda holds Batman's hands together. "I need your help.", Zelda answered Bruce's question.
Batman pulls his hands away from Zelda. He moves away.
Zelda sighs. "I know you hate me, but I wouldn't be here if it wasn't necessary.", she said.
Batman silently growled, which was heard by Superman due to his super-hearing ability. Superman has the impression Batman is mad with her. There seems to be estranged relationship between them.
"I thought we agreed to stay out of each other's places.", Batman recalled calmly.
Is this why Queen Zelda never appeared in planet Kaiba?
"An agreement we must break now effective immediately.", Zelda said.
Bruce wonders why their agreement has to shatter after years of not seeing one another. "A decision you make there is a reason for it.", Bruce said, without looking at Zelda.
"Our children, Bruce. Something happened to them."
Every Justice Leaguer became shocked upon learning Bruce has kids other than Damian Wayne. A Queen and a Dark Knight had kids together?
Bruce is expressionless. Batman turns and moves near Zelda. "You're wasting your time. They need you, not me.", he said coldly.
Everyone knows Batman likes to act cold. This one right now seems genuine and full of anger. They couldn't believe Batman refuses to help his wife, even refusing to help save their kids.
Every Leaguer moved aside as Batman passed them.
"Bruce... please...", Zelda begged.
Batman stopped. He raised his head, and fired a grappling hook to the floating Batwing. The Batwing was left in the air as Batman would use this to return to the Batcave once he's done with everything. There is nothing he has with Queen Zelda. They've had a fallout a long time ago.
Centuries ago...
"From here, we'll make our way to the city. Then we'll need some adjustments to build new weapons for the Clone Troopers to fight with the Separatists, at least evening the odds. However, it's apparent that we still have much more to learn. But to think the weapons' power supply is fuelled by Force energy is absolutely astonishing. That means we should be able to understand how it works and how to use it to our advantage. A deeper extent of the Force we have knowledge of, and Albus Dumbledore sends us on a city we have knowledge about. But we want to win the war, the weapons they produce are our best hope.", Princess Zelda said.
Bruce Skywalker was quiet from the moment they started walking together. He did not respond, rather he listened with his face expressionless.
Zelda had already noticed Skywalker's silence, which annoyed her. She finally stopped moving. Bruce stopped moving too and stared at the Princess. She slightly turned. "Tell me the truth...", Zelda said. "...has the years of training with Master Kenobi allowed you to foresee what will happen in the future?".
The present...
Bruce meditates. It ended when Nightwing and Superman came in the Batcave.
"Meditating, that's a new Bat-thing.", Nightwing remarked.
Batman turned. "What do you want?".
"What do we want? Please tell me you're joking.", Nightwing said.
"I don't joke.", Batman grimly responded.
"The pointy-ear lady.", Nightwing mentioned. Bruce glared at him. "oh, right, you two apparently have issues.".
"The Lanterns say this Zelda is the Queen of Lyoko, but has a big influence to a certain extent over Coruscant and its closest planets. But no one ever sees her face unless she decides to.", Superman said. "How did you two get acquainted?".
"It's a long story, and it doesn't matter.". Batman thinks why Superman is still in Gotham when the other Leaguers left to their respective cities. "Shouldn't you be back at Metropolis, or has Supergirl taken watch for the day?".
"Kara has retired.", Superman revealed. "Retired for her baby girl.".
"Starling National City isn't completely defenseless. Her husband Oliver Queen will cover in her absence.", Batman asked while managing the Batcomputer.
"I didn't come here to talk about Supergirl."
Batman stops operating on the Batcomputer.
"With kids you never stop yourself saving them. I don't get why you won't do the same for your children?", Superman asked.
"You've overstayed your welcome, Clark. Get back to Metropolis. Dick return to Blüdhaven."
Superman and Nightwing exchanged glances. They finally left Batman alone.
Batman begins thinking about Zelda. Was he right to tell her those things?
Centuries ago...
A young Bruce Skywalker tries to use the Force to telekinetically move rocks around him.
"You really don't like the system, do you?", Princess Zelda asked.
Bruce turns and looks at Princess Zelda.
"You seem to despise the system as much as you despise monsters.", Princess Zelda said. "I wonder why.".
While Zelda contemplates why Skywalker hates the system, Bruce noticed a red mark situated on the Princess's forehead. He flied toward the Princess, pushing her away from being targeted by a blast. The blast almost reached Bruce's arm. But Bruce avoided it. Both he and the Princess are unharmed though unfortunately they will be forced to face the attackers.
Bruce drew his lightsaber out and confronted the attackers. They are bounty hunters. There was a bit of a struggle, nevertheless Bruce defeated them with his strength and speed. He disarmed their weapons, and tied them against a rock.
Zelda stood next to Bruce's side, analysing the bounty hunters and their weapons. "These weapons they wield belong to the Separatists.", she said. "They know we are here.". She looks at Bruce who has turned to bounty hunters. "Leave them, we must return to Coruscant immediately.".
After hours of being in space, Zelda and Bruce finally returned to Coruscant, to the Jedi Temple. They met with the Jedi Masters and told them about an assassination was attempted on Zelda's life.
"I am sorry to feel this is troubling you, Princess Zelda.", Dumbledore said, showing sympathy.
"This is the reason why I am in need of additional protection.", Zelda said.
The Jedi Masters exchanged glances. They believed Skywalker is enough for Zelda's protection.
"What exactly is wrong with your knight Bruce Skywalker?", Obi-Wan asked as he glances Bruce.
"Records showed no time Jedi Knight Bruce Skywalker is incapable of protecting a princess, much less a civilian.", Princess Zelda said.
"Is it that, or is it your doubts about young Skywalker?", Dumbledore asked.
Zelda thought about it for a moment: Was it really because she does not have faith in inexperienced Jedi Knights, or is only Bruce Skywalker she does not trust?
Bruce looked at her while staying silent.
The present...
Bruce is at the Batcomputer studying the ship Zelda used to arrive in planet Kaiba. "Another pep talk, Alfred?", Bruce asked without looking. He knew Alfred is in the arrived in the Batcave. The Batcave made him aware of someone coming inside. Who else would come to the Batcave?
"Not Alfred."
A familiar feminine voice made Bruce turn as he closes a tab which he was on for examination of Zelda's ship. A pinkish-red hair lady with pink skin. It's Zelda. Her voice and physical appearance confirms Bruce's thought. "Your presence here alerts all the ours enemies within the planet and out of the planet", he said. He turns to the Batcomputer. "assuming the Dark Lords are still pursuing you.".
"I'm not defenseless.", Zelda said.
"Then you are your children's last hope. Not me."
"Our children.", Zelda corrected.
Batman tightly clenches his fists. He is silently growling. Zelda comes toward him. Once she reaches him, Zelda handed something to Bruce. Bruce turned and examined what she was giving.
"My truth.", Zelda revealed what she is giving. "it's a totem. Everything is said here.".
Bruce hesitated. He did not want to receive anything or hear from Zelda. But he had a desire to learn Zelda's truth. He begrudgingly takes the totem. After giving the totem, Zelda was about to leave the Batcave until Alfred appeared.
"Alfred?", Zelda exclaimed.
"Good to see you after a long number of years, your highness."
"Alfred, you and I've been close. 'Zelda' is always the name you will call me as.", Zelda said, smiling.
"I will be sure to call you that, Master Zelda.", Alfred said. He gives Zelda clothes.
"These are my sleeping clothes from when me and Bruce had slept together for the first time in this mansion having-", Zelda paused what she was about to say. It didn't seem right to say it especially in front of Alfred. "I appreciate the gift. But I don't need sleeping clothes. I don't really sleep anymore.".
"Oh, they are not for gift, Master Zelda. They are meant for you to wear them when you are ready to get a shut-eye.", Alfred addressed. Zelda is confused. She didn't request Alfred to bring her clothes.
"I told him.", Batman addressed. Zelda is surprised. "I could tell you are very exhausted. The continuous stress over them is going to continue worsening your condition. You need rest. Alfred will escort you to your bedroom.".
Before Zelda leaves with Alfred, she turns and says "Thank you... Bruce." before finally leaving the Batcave.
Bruce wonders if he made the right choice to let Zelda stay despite the fact they fell out hard. Does his feelings for her and their children still remain?
A/N: Batman is different from the species. In this story, he has the power of the Force. And he was once a Jedi Knight that served for the Galactic Republic. He is now Batman, the guardian of Gotham.
I wanted Zelda to be established as Batman's wife because I seem to have a liking to Bruce pairing with pointy-ear people such as Zelda.
As you may have noticed, Supergirl and Green Arrow are married in this story. The reason is because I ship these two characters. It came from watching the Arrowverse episodes. The Arrowverse crossover called 'Crisis on Earth-X' featured Oliver and Kara married from another Universe. That's why I ship them.
