In Hawkmoth's lair, all of the energy from the Bermuda Triangle had been absorbed into the Butterfly Miraculous.
"Even with it in camouflage mode I can tell it's loaded with new power," said Gabriel while looking at the miraculous. It now had a pitch-black gem and lightning bolts running through the wings.
"And it will be mine!" said Madcap who jumped down from the ceiling.
"What are you?!" asked Gabriel as he dodged the small toy's surprise attack and managed to smack him away.
"The name's Madcap, and I plan to use that energy to create an army of evil toys so I can rule the world," said Madcap while recovering his footing as he landed on the floor of the lair.
"I'm afraid neither of you will keep that power," said Skullivar while walking out of the shadows.
"And who are you supposed to be?!" asked Madcap.
"I am Skullivar, The Scourge of the Seven Seas, and the one who will be taking that jewel," said Skullivar.
"Wait a minute, gentlemen, I have an idea that will give all of us what we want," said Gabriel as an idea came to mind.
"After all, there is a way to share the power of the Butterfly Miraculous," he said.
"Oh, I don't like where this is going," thought Nooroo who was floating up in one of the corners of the room looking down at the three with a worried expression. Somewhere in the city, Axel's group was running toward the battle with the ghosts.
"I don't think Madcap is involved with this," said Zoe as they hid in an alley.
"You're right, and I don't think we can actually help them," said Axel as Cat Noir was sent flying by a blast of water from the hose that the ghost had.
