Post Coronation Party

After the Coronation Party; Team Avatar and the new Fire Lord went to one of the private chambers that acted as a parlor for informal company. Zuko had gotten better at tea making both from helping out in the teashop and making tea for his friends. Everyone settled onto couches while Zuko prepared a pot of tea.

Everyone sighed in relief at being off their feet. Aang laid his head dramatically on Katara's lap; she chuckled softly as she pet his bald head. Toph had her feet Sokka's lap while she lay sprawled out on the couch and Sokka leaned his head back with his arms across the back rest of the couch. Lenetta sat patiently; waiting for her boyfriend to come out with the tea.

Soon Zuko came out with the tray that had six cups on it and the tea pot. He set it on the table and joined his girlfriend, he put his arm around her after he grabbed his tea. Aang cleared his throat as he rose from Katara's lap. "I'd like to propose a toast." Aang declared. They all brought up their cups as Aang began to speak.

"I can't believe a hundred years ago I was frozen in a block of ice, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Because it brought me here, surrounded by the greatest friends an Avatar could have. The road that brought us here was challenging, there were many setbacks and many challenges to face. But we got through them. The road ahead of us will be the same, but this past year has shown we can get through anything and we can face anything the world throws at us. To friendship and a hopeful future." Aang declared. Everyone shouted cheers and clinked cups. Aang sat back down and Katara kissed his cheek.

Zuko stood up and said. "I also want to make a toast." Everyone turned their attention back to Zuko. "Three years ago I spoke out in a war meeting which led to my father burning and banishing me. I used to believe that was the worst thing that could've happened to me. But it got me away from his control and it has led me here. I used to believe capturing the Avatar was the only way I could restore my honor, but I have learned I have never lost my honor, because I chose to do what's right. And as long as I continue doing what's right; honor is never truly gone. I also found love and friendship and realized Uncle Iroh was my true father. You all helped me find the light, and for that I will be always be grateful. Together we will restore the honor of the Fire Nation and bring peace to all the nations. Cheers!" Zuko finished. Everyone clinked cups again. Zuko sat back down and Lenetta squeezed his hand and kissed his cheek. He had taken her hand at one point during his speech.

They sat there talking about anything and everything; enjoying the brief respite granted to them before reality would come crashing back down on them all. Aang and Katara would go off and do Avatar things to try and bring order to the Earth Kingdom. Iroh and the White Lotus were in Ba Sing Se restoring it to Earth Kingdom rule. Other members were also finding Earth King Kuei and bringing him back to Ba Sing Se. Iroh had sent a letter to Zuko telling him of what was going on and that he was proud of him. The Freedom Fighters would be returing to Ba Sing Se the next morning to help the Earth Kingdom in whatever way they could. Fire Nation soldiers and their generals were all returning to the Fire Nation. Every Fire Nation person was returning to the Fire Nation. The colonies were still being worked out. The newer colonies were being abolished; they were trying to figure out what to do with the older ones. Most of those people had been there for generations. Aang and Zuko felt it was better that they stay where they are seeing as they were both. They had to figure what to do about that. The Earth Kingdom was cooperating for now, mostly because they didn't want to restart the war and they trusted the Avatar.

Toph will be staying with Zuko and Lenetta to help stabilize the government. She would detect who were liars and actually wanted rebellion and would be taken from their government positions and new, proper people would be put in place. A few weeks later Zuko's government would be ready and stable.

Many of the Fire Nation soldiers and their loved ones never really wanted one. When they received word it was over they were cautiously happy and returned home. When it proved true they all did their part and cooperated with the new Fire Lord's rule.

Sokka and Katara would eventually return to the Southern Water Tribe where they would find that their home looked bigger. The aid of the Northern Water Tribe had done a lot of good for their home. Hakoda had returned to his position as chief and the Water Tribes were all accepting help from the other nations. They felt it was time to quit isolating themselves from the world which proved true. The waterbending healers which were starting to include men and boys all headed by Yugoda and Katara traveled the world providing aid to everyone of all nations. Katara and other waterbenders would aid with removing water pollutions from the factories which everyone was grateful for.

Whenever the Fire Nation government was stabilized Toph went around the world providing her earthbending abilities to help people. There would be towns or cities destroyed by the war and she and other earthbenders would use their abilities to repair buildings and recover people that had been trapped by fallen debris. It was difficult but it was done. Everyone worked together to help the world heal and restore parts of it that were broken. It was a big effort but it was done.

Sokka and Suki got back together and together with the aid of the Kyoshi warriors they guarded Zuko and Lenetta from assasins or people who met them harm. While they were both powerful firebenders in their own right they both appreciated the extra protection and would watch their backs. Sokka and Suki eventually got married and they lived in both the Water Tribe and Kyoshi Island but whenever Hakoda died and Sokka took over as chief they lived in the Southern Water Tribe. Suki traveled back and forth to visit her sisters and she even visited the Fire Nation to see how Zuko and Lenetta were doing.

Katara and Aang eventually got married in the Southern Air Temple when Aang was twenty and Katara twenty two. Zuko married them. It was a beautiful ceremony that mixed Air Nomad and Water Tribe ways of marriage and the celebrations lasted well into the night. Katara and Aang would have all airbending children. Air benders were spiritually pure and if an air bender had children the child would usually have airbending. However if an airbender is not spiritually pure and they taint their airbending the child is less likely to have airbending. Aang had killed the Fire Lord with earthbending while in the Avatar State so his airbending wasn't tainted. He and Katara had ten children five boys and five girls. Toph, Suki, Zuko, Lenetta and of course Sokka were aunts and uncles to the children and they helped Aang and Katara by babysitting them.

The efforts of healing the world from the pain of the Hundred Year War would be a long and hard process but it would be done. Team Avatar was strong and they would do it no matter what. Peace was eventually achieved and the world was finally healed.

Author's note: This is not the end by the way. I just decided to get all of this out of the way so I could play with Zuko and Lenetta's romance throughout the years and don't you worry you will get more detail on everything.

Aang and Katara's children in order of oldest to youngest for later chapters: Tenzin, Xia, Yushin, Lin, Yang, Meng, Rodar, Pema, Skoran, Reena. Boy, girl, boy, girl, boy, girl, boy, girl, boy, girl.

Sokka and Suki do not have any children.

Toph doesn't get married so she can be free and not be bound to anyone. She is a mother figure to her friend's children who adore her and she them.
